Produktivní pracovní týmy. / Productive working teams.

VRBKOVÁ, Eva January 2007 (has links)
This graduation thesis is concerned with the role of a psychologist in the work team building. The organisation where I did the qualitative research work was Police of the Czech Republic. I wanted to confirm or rebut the assertion that the role of psychologist in police teams buliding is irreplaceable. I used methods of questioning, interview and observation. Police teams are created to solve some issues (e.g. drug-traffic) or a concrete crime (e.g. a murder). I found out that police teams are built by supervisors. They are choosing team members in accordance with their specialization, skills and experience. The police psychologists have no dealing with the team building. Police psychologists pick new policemen {--} they test their memory, reactions (this test examines functions of celebral cortex) and intelligence. New policemen also have to pass a test of personality. All these tests are necessary, because police work is extremely exacting. Next police psychologist´s task is policemen training. Psychologists teach them the assertivity, how to cope with stress and how to deal with a suicide. Very important part of police psychologists´ job is a consulting service, which can involve policemen, their wives and kids. Police psychologists offer the post-traumatic care as well. This care is established for policemen who used a gun, who are investigating death of a child or some grave murder. Police psychologists are working as investigation´s consultants, especially by investigation of self-murders, rapes, maltreatment with children. They help to ease the situation, to calm down the sufferer, they also help by the questioning and they instruct policemen how to behave to the sufferer.

The IT-consultant’s view of managing application investments’ : A study on roles and responsibilities / IT-konsulters syn på hantering av applikationsinvesteringar : En studie av roller och ansvar

Granehäll, Maria, Karlström, Jessica January 2006 (has links)
Allt fler mindre organisationer investerar i IT igen. / As the market now has begun to recover from the IT-crash in 2002, many smaller organisations are now starting to invest in IT again. This makes the IT-consultants more wanted on the market. In proportion to the increasing work of the IT-consultants and the increasing SME investments, the IT-consultants advices becomes more important regarding communication, responsibilities and collaboration, given to the Small and Medium sized Enter-prises (SME) in the time of their investment process. At the same time the theory presents a mix of recommendations for how roles and responsibility should be managed within the general organisation. These recommendations are clearly and vague expressed by different authors. Given this theoretical knowledge, the SME’s increasing outsourcing of IT-management and the importance of a clear structure of responsibilities in IT-investments, has the purpose of this study been to investigate in the advices the IT-consultants are communicating to SME in relation to the theoretical rec-ommendations. The study has then been accomplished through a consultant’s perspective. Due to the purpose this study has been accomplished by face-to-face semi-standardised interviews with 12 IT-consultants within the County of Jönköping directed towards SME in application investments. Given that we wanted to gain a deep understanding of these IT-consultants recommendations on roles and responsibilities we therefore used a qualitative method. Furthermore, we also used an explorative effort due to our purpose to scrutinise the research area and a comparative effort when comparing the IT-consultants views with each other and then comparing the categorised IT-consultants views to the theoretical views identified in this study. One factor influencing the mode of procedure is the theoretical study of roles and responsibilities made by Granehäll, Karlström and Uyanik (2005). These authors present three different views of roles and responsibilities in application investments. We found these views necessary to be further developed. This became the foundation of the theoretical data of roles and responsibilities in this study, setting the structure of the presentation of theoreti-cal data. After presenting the additional theory and adding it to the all ready known views, we were in this study able to identify three new theoretical views on roles and responsibilities fo-cused on different roles. The empirical data, established during this study, expressed by each participative IT-consultant is presented separately. This has been done to increase understanding and to facilitate the reading. During this study on roles and responsibilities in application investments and the IT-consultants view on roles and responsibilities in SME application investments we found that the theory is directed to organisations in general, with an undertone that specifies the direction towards larger organisations, causing the theory to recommend different roles of responsibilities than the IT-consultants actually are practising. The IT-consultants we found to present different advice regarding roles and responsibilities. We have therefore been able to categorise these different advices into three different views with different focus.

Psychohygiena pracovníků Linky bezpečí / Safety Line Workers Mental Hygiene

Vojtíšková, Anna January 2016 (has links)
The thesis Safety line workers mental hygiene deals about psychohygiene of consultants, who provide crisis intervention to children and adolescents over the phone. Topics such as mental hygiene and phone crisis intervention are elaborated in the first part of the thesis and the Safety line organization is discussed in detail as well. An empirical part of the thesis deals about types of psychohygiene which are used by the Safety line consultants. It has been discovered, that the Safety line workers use forms of psychohygiene, which the organization has to offer. A chance to discuss specific problems with shift team lead is mostly appreciated by them as well as the fact, that there are teams at the Safety line therefore consultants are not alone for solving issues. Hypotheses used for discovering the connection between socio-demografic entries and psychohygiene haven't been rejected except one. The only hypothesis, which could be rejected, was related to the lengths of practice at the Safety line and level of mental balance. The goal of this thesis was to chart methods of mental hygiene of the Safety line workers and thus to show them ways, how to nurture themselves and how to reach mental equilibrium while working for the Safety line.

The employee survey: a universal cure to different diseases? : An essay about an employee survey in a health care context from the point of view of the consultant: What would Heidegger have thought?

Carlson, Annika January 2017 (has links)
This scientific essay aims at investigating the phenomenon of employee surveys. The starting point is a personally experienced event from a meeting room in a maternity ward, depicted from my first˗person perspective as an external consultant. The event tells about relational conflicts and organizational problems at the hospital, an uneasy mood in the meeting room, and my feelings of falsity and being inept as well as my actions. The essay tries to illuminate this event with help from the ideas and reasoning of Martin Heidegger, and specifically his discussions in the areas of talk and mood. A phenomenological approach to the event is taken, where the essay through Heidegger's concepts seeks to capture the practical knowledge that formed the basis for the event turning out as it did.

PR před kamerou: Mediální obraz Public ralations jako profese v české a britské televizní produkci / PR goes on air: The media portrayal of Public Relations on Czech and British television scene

Kopová, Daniella January 2017 (has links)
This paper aims to contribute to knowledge of stereotypization mechanisms, bringing in the case of PR consultants. Using lenses of the key cultural form - film and television series - the project analyses a way of representing PR profession, as depicted on TV screen both in Czech Republic and the United Kingdom, during 2000-2017 time period. Theoretical frame is drawing on key ideas on stereotype, narrowed by film usage, as seen in the work of Walter Lippmann and others. Main hypothesis is based on assumption that negative media portrayal might interfere with professional reputation. Analytical part employs qualitative, thematical analysis that focuses on interpretation of personal features, behavioral characteristics and depiction of reocurring key themes. The final outcome then presents a professional portrayal of Public Relations on Czech and British television scene, builded up on prominent steretypes, accompanied by relevant quotes to illustrate the point. Key findings show undestanding communication as means of persuasion, leading to egoism, a lack of ethical values and dominant attitude in relation to clients and journalists. To prove the contribution argument that these negative attributes will further affect the future professional status of PR, the final insight illustrates such impact by...

Boundary management in ICT-enabled work : exploring structuration in information systems research

Salamoun Sioufi, Randa January 2013 (has links)
ICTs have enabled increased mobility and created a new era of workplace connectivity. Due to changes in work organization, global operations, increased mobility, and the new opportunities they are creating; work requires more coordination, more travel and a higher frequency of boundary spanning. ICTs have infiltrated into the personal life of individuals, while similarly, having an increasing impact on how organizations manage their workers‘ work-life balance. This research investigates the work boundary negotiation process in ICT-enabled work.Using an in-depth case study supplemented with visual data, this thesis studies the case of Sigma, an international consulting firm, that serves clients located in a large geographical area. It explores how consultants exhibiting mobile work practices, use ICTs to negotiate work boundaries. It draws on the structurational model of technology and complements it with the boundary object construct. The utilisation of this combined approach allows further understanding of work boundary negotiation. The research reveals that some ICTs as technological artefacts are boundary objects bridging between different groups of actors, crossing work boundaries, and allowing actors to negotiate their work boundaries while challenging traditional boundaries. Thus, allowing consultants to use their ICTs (specifically their smartphone) to negotiate their work boundaries on a need to basis. The boundary negotiation process (as revealed by the structuration process) is the means by which consultants try to make the most out of existing social structures – in this case specifically domination – in their organizational context. The ICT becomes a source of power and is mainly used to manifest domination over available resources. Consultants use them to maintain control over their life, increase their legitimacy and convey that they are professional experts. ICTs allow consultants to continuously redefine their work boundaries which become dynamic, fluid and contextual; the research reaffirms the sociotechnical nature of work boundaries. The thesis also develops a conceptual model of work boundary negotiation that conceptually illustrates how boundary negotiation is the outcome of the structuration process and the negotiation of existing structures of domination, legitimation and signification.

Ingman, Olivia, Kelmendi, Hana January 2020 (has links)
The staffing industry is a growing line of business characterized by a special trilateral relationship between the consultant manager, the client and consultant.
