Dashboards in a Content Management System : – A design research study exploring a process of applying a dashboarddesign space to create a dashboard to support CMS usersneeds

Kröll, Ilona January 2024 (has links)
This study investigates the application of the cluster design space framework (CDSF) in developinga project-specific dashboard to visualize website health and performance withina content management system (CMS). Adopting a research-through-design approach, theproject emphasizes the importance of relevance and iterations in a design processes. Threedifferent data collection methods were employed: semi-structured interviews, a workshop, and a survey. Four expert users, all related to Knowit Experience and utilizing the sameCMS, participated in the study, providing data across all methods. Interview data wastranscribed and organized within predefined design space categories, while workshopand survey results were similarly aligned with these categories. Interestingly, all datacollection methods identified cluster number (5) Operational Decision-Making as the mostsuitable for this project. Drawing from interview responses and the final concept fromthe workshop, a high-fidelity prototype was developed to illustrate a potential dashboardvisualization. By applying the CDSF proactively in future designs, rather than retrospectively, this study aims to shed light on its potential to tailor and guide the design processfor future dashboard projects, encouraging effectiveness and precision.

Utvärdering och betygsättning av användbarhet i ettContent Management System : Betygsättning i grafisk och kvantitativ form / : Evaluation and rating of usability in a Content Management System –Rating in graphical and quantitative form

Vikström, Joakim January 2018 (has links)
The thesis has been a study that would provide a way to evaluate usability and make a rating of usability in a selected content management system. The underlying problem that the thesis was conducted is that the rating of usability is inadequate in many evaluations of Content Management Systems. The study has used an existing framework that was developed for evaluating usability in mobile phones. This framework was modified so that it could instead be implemented on a Content Management System. The user tests used for data collection were performed by users selected through a selective selection based on experience in the use of information systems. Users rated different usability indicators depending on their experience during the performance of the task. The data collected was compiled in an Excel-file and for each user's ratings of the various usability indicators, a pentagon chart was compiled from these grades. The study's results presented an analysis of the evaluation that implemented the various parts of the framework. The analysis showed different results from the test users and the results could easily be read from the pentagon charts. The study's conclusion is that the adapted framework is based on existing theories and methods of evaluating usability and the rating is based on existing approaches in the framework. The identified components of the framework are the evaluation section, user tests and think-aloud, and the grading scale, scorecard and pentagon chart.

Små- och medelstora företags uppdateringsarbete av hemsidor / Small and medium sized enterprices work with uppdating homepages

Hörberg, Daniel, Johannisson, Sebastian January 2002 (has links)

Integration of Visma Administration and SiteVision / Integration av Visma Administration och SiteVision

Lind, Jonathan January 2015 (has links)
The ability to reach a wider public using the Internet has brought the world a wide varietyof online retailers offering their customers to purchase almost anything from the comfortof their home. With this increase in online retailing, a need for automation has been developedby the users. To be able to decrease the administrative tasks to a bare minimum allowsretailers to focus on their core business instead. With this new request for automation, businesssystems are becoming more and more popular and to be able to integrate the web sitewith a business system results in lower administrative workload. A variety of systems arealready available for the public to use for integrating a web shop to a number of differentbusiness systems. These systems are however often restrictive and will provide a frameworkfor developing the web shop themselves. One web content management system that lacksthis kind of support is SiteVision. On behalf of Soleil IT, a Proof of Concept was developedto investigate the feasibility of integrating a web shop developed in SiteVision, with a businesssystem for automation of administrative tasks. The implementation included featuressuch as retrieving products from the business system and displaying them on the web site, and the ability to purchase a set of products which should generate an order in the businesssystem. RESTful web services was used to transmit data between the business system andthe web shop. This project resulted in a successful integration of the business system VismaAdministration and a web shop developed in SiteVision. The project showed the feasibilityof performing such an integration and also exposed any restrictions that the setup may have.

Identifying Key Success Factors for the Implementation of Enterprise Content Management Systems

Horne, Stephanie Burnett 08 1900 (has links)
Enterprise content management (ECM) is an emerging research area that is beginning to find attention in academia. While the private sector has a growing industry and community for ECM, academia is starting to address this with direct links to the better-established areas of information systems and enterprise resource planning systems. ECM has been viewed as a higher-level concept of methods and strategies pertaining to content management in the context of the enterprise. Like many other organizational wide systems, ECM systems are complex, difficult to implement and risk failing to meet expected success measures. Definitions for what exactly constitutes an ECM system are still evolving. The major issues with ECM systems are that they are increasingly being implemented by organizations in an attempt to address the unmanageable amount of unstructured content over its lifecycle, compliance pressures, collaboration needs, content integrity and continuity, and controlling costs. However, the implementation problems are many and diverse, such as determining content and business processes to be included, determining technologies to fit the organizational needs, how to integrate with existing systems, and managing organizational culture and change for acceptance. There is currently little academic research in the area of ECM, and research determining the key factors that contribute to successful implementations of these systems is absent. This research addressed the existing gap in ECM research and investigated the key success factors for the implementations of ECM systems with the objectives of identifying a set of success factors. Guided by research in related areas and through developing a theoretical framework and the resulting research model, the study used a qualitative case study method to identify ECM implementation factors and their relationship to organizational culture and people, business processes, technology and organizational content. The results of this research were twofold, first by contributing needed research in the ECM area and second to aid organizations in the implementation of ECM systems by identifying key factors.
