Dětští hrdinové v tvorbě Miguela Delibese / The children heroes in the production of Miguel Delibes

Rejmontová, Karolína January 2011 (has links)
The objective of this thesis is to analyze children's characters in the novels of El Camino, Mi idolatrado hijo Sisí and El príncipe destronado. After a brief summary of children characters within Delibes novels, we focus on analyzing common aspects of children heroes, on feelings of anxiety and fear, the importance of background, in which the child grows up, we concentrate on teenagers problems and children's evolution, we focus on the way how children speak and on the analysis of hilarious moments, which are originated from the children's innocence of the world. This thesis intends to take into account all these aspects. In the second part we dedicate to composition of the novel that Delibes completely conformed to the novels intention. The children characters are explored in the context of other characters, taking into account the point of the social background and related problems. In the final chapter we compare the novels to the film production.

The Simplistic Nature of Spanish Rural Society as Reflected in Some Child Characters of Miguel Delibes

Gentry, George M. 08 1900 (has links)
The major proposition is that the childhood point of view in two Delibes novels--El camino (1950) and Las ratas (1962)--aids the reader's comprehension of the basic values held by rural Spaniards. These values are stressed in both novels, giving the reader an insight into the nature of these simplistic people. Honest, accepting attitudes of the child protagonists aid the reader's understanding of the plight of the villagers. The superiority of the natural way of life is revealed in both novels. Nature became even more important to Delibes as his stature as novelist increased, The later work, therefore, is a social protest against effects of industrial progress on rural Castilians.

Miguel Delibes : 377A, Madera de Héroe Genèse et style de l'écriture / Genesis and style of the writing in Miguel Delibes : 377 A, Madera de Héroe

Gutiérrez Pequeño, Jezabel 02 December 2011 (has links)
This research deals with « 377A, Madera de héroe », a book by Spanish novelist Miguel Delibes. It is a thesis in textual genetics that first establishes the edition of the text through the four stages of its writing and then studies the movements of the text production process in this genesis by exploring the manuscript that was given directly and personally by Miguel Delibes to the author of this research. The analytical approach is organised in two major phases: - The first one (micro-analysis) uses the traditional methods of genetic investigation to study the semantic and discursive aspects of the re-writing strategies and the author’s stylistic mark as it is revealed in the variants. - The second one (macro-analysis) revisits the issue by implementing the recent developments in the quantitative handling of lexical data. By resorting to two complementary software programmes (Stablex and Alceste), it is possible to observe deep underlying movements that can neither be perceived nor objectified through other approaches. The processing and interpretation of data reveal a rewriting process of de-centering followed by a re-centering around the themes that are perceived as prevailing by the author, as a result of his personal choices and also through a mechanical process of internal attraction due to the intrinsic demands of textual consistency. This thesis therefore contributes to a finer analysis of the work of a leading Spanish novelist as well as to a new development in the methodology of textual genetics.

Begines Cerrada, Francisco Javier January 2021 (has links)
In Cinco horas con Mario, Delibes tells us the story of a Carmen who represents the conservative sector of Spain at the time. However, if we delve into the text we will also find a Carmen who rebels and is a victim of Francoism. The purpose of this thesis is to show that a multifaceted Carmen will appear in Delibes' text which will make the novel reflect the social situation in which women were involved during the Franco period from different points of view.

Becerra Petersson, Jael January 2022 (has links)

The Spanish Civil War, which devastated Spain from 1936 to 1949, along with the subsequent establishment of a totalitarian regime that ruled the country for almost four decades, are both high on the list of the most catastrophic events of the 20th century, being widely portrayed by the world of the arts. Many of these works of art were created during the war; others were produced during the immediate post-war period. Nevertheless, during the eight decades that went by since these events took place, the production of such artistic pieces has significantly increased, especially the ones which depict the ideological conflict between “the two Spains” (las dos Espanãs). Among the wide variety of texts that deal with this conflict, two novels, each written in different and specific moments of the Hispanic cultural life, should be pointed out: Réquiem por un campesino español (1952), by Ramón J. Sender, published in Mexico during Sender’s exile, and Cinco horas con Mario (1966), by Miguel Delibes, published in Spain under General Franco’s dictatorship. These two novels, inspired by the same reasons but produced under different circumstances, meet the demands of the particular situations regarding their authors; therefore, both form and content in these novels are meant to cope with the “(im)possibility” of conveying the horrors of a fratricidal war. In this thesis, we wish to establish how each of these novels manages to portray the Spanish Civil War, highlighting the specific characteristics of both form and content in each text, so as to reveal the tension between these two kinds of literary productions of the post-war period: the works of the so-called España peregrina (“Pilgrim Spain”), and those produced under the Franco regime. In this way, we wish to bring to light the way in which history, memory, and literature are integrated through these different types of narrative expression
