A relação interativa entre Jesus e as mulheres a partir de Mc 14,3-9

Creuza Elena da Silva 06 January 2012 (has links)
The aim of this work is to try and highlight the human values present in the interactive relations between Jesus and the women of his time. As a first step we look at some points highlighted by an exegesis of the pericope Mk 14, 3-9 in order to get a better understanding of the text. And in point 1.4, analysis of the content, we endeavour to highlight the gesture of an anonymous woman, in the house of Simon the leper, anointing and recognising Jesus as the Messiah hoped for by all. Her action guarantees for her the title of prophetess or female prophet. In the second section of our text we see Jesus interacting freely with women, including them in his discipleship of equals, rescuing their values and defending them in face of the privileges of men. Through this we can substantiate the thesis that throughout the entire history of the people of God we encounter the struggle (waged by) women for a more dignified life either through their actions or silently. (Here) Jesus confirms their actions and silences, giving them their rightful place and thus proclaiming them as a paradigm of authentic discipleship.

Dubito ergo sum - onderzoek naar de invloed van postmodernisme op het pastoraat(Dutch)

Blijleven, Dirk 30 October 2007 (has links)
Within the Dutch society there is, in recent years, an influence from postmodernism notable. This influence of a post modern way of life has also become more and more apparent within the churches who count themselves as being part of the ‘Reformed family group of churches’ (Dutch: De Gereformeerde Gezindte). In some respects this worldview influences the way of practising the faith, or so called: spirituality. What the consequences are of these changes in spirituality, form the subject of this research. For this research a qualitative approach was chosen to study literature of post-modern origin to arrive at the research viewpoint. What are the demands from postmodernism to come to a valid form of spirituality? With this research viewpoint the work of two influential Dutch theologians, F. G. Immink and R. R. Ganzevoort is evaluated. The outcome of this comparison is connected with a personal definition of pastoral counselling formulated from a salvation-historical understanding of the bible. Immink takes his viewpoint from the philosophical idea of External Realism. God is knowable and it is possible to have and maintain a relationship with the Divine. For Immink the most important choices are: a) attention to the relational character of faith, and b) the active influence of faith in daily living, authenticity. Gansevoort’s proposition is the social-scientific theory of Social-constructionism and his Practical Theology is based on a Narrative approach. He emphasises: a) a personal influence in shaping the way of believing, b) contextual determination of faith, and c) autonomy of the human being. The inference made from the choices found in the work of Immink and Ganzevoort and the personal definition of pastoral counselling produces ideas for a model for pastoral counselling. Important features here are: <ul> <li> attention to the concept of authenticity, in the way of understanding the Bible, as well as the way the contents of the faith are communicated during counselling</li> <li>the experience of fellowship and communion, together with attention focussed on a personal approach and contribution, during pastoral counselling</li> <li>attention for pastoral workers regarding discipleship and being a spiritual guide</li></ul> Copyright 2006, University of Pretoria. [en] THE CALL OF JESUS TO THE RICH YOUNG RULER: AN EXEGETICAL COMMENTARY OF LC 18,18-23 / [pt] O CHAMADO DE JESUS AO RICO NOTÁVEL: COMENTÁRIO EXEGÉTICO DE LC 18,18-23

BRUNO GUIMARAES DE MIRANDA 18 August 2017 (has links)
[en] This survey sought to analyze the call of Jesus to the rich young ruler, as narrated in the Gospel according to Luke, and realize to what extent such an invite is not destinated only to the character in case, but can be extended to all those who approach Jesus recognizing in him the path to eternal life. It was concluded that the center of the call is not the accomplishment of the Commandments, and not even the distribution of the goods to the poor, but the follow of Jesus. As a consequence, this adhesion to Christ signifies the reception of eternal life as grace, and not as self achievement; besides, the one who accepts such call is incorporated to the church, the community of Jesus followers. In opposition to the frustrating hesitation of the rich young ruler, other cases of vocation and discipleship in Luke and Acts show how the acceptance of the call of Jesus was possible, and would be a source of lasting joy. The survey combined the historical-critical method with synchronic character methods, such as the rhetorical analysis.

Transforming Africa : the role of the church in developing political leaders

Banza, Kabuaya 06 1900 (has links)
This thesis reflects on how to develop an African leadership that can contribute to the effective transformation of the African continent. After analysing the concept of leadership and categorising it for better understanding, the mission of the church as a developer of leaders par excellence has been examined and its potentials and limits assessed. Then, the thesis studied the specific extent of poor African leadership and its dire socio-political consequences in a sub-Saharan African country; so, the context of DR Congo was analysed. After that the contribution of the notion of African Renaissance to the whole debate of leadership development in Africa was assessed and the social, economic and political climate of the continent analysed. The poor and deficient African leadership has been identified as the main cause of rampant conflicts and wars, a slow economic development and lack of transformation in the continent. Given that church leadership seemed so poor and inefficient, the thesis has recommended that the African church needed primarily to transform its own leadership to be able to effectively develop transformational political leadership. The analysis of African institutions already involved in the development of an African leadership for socio-political transformation has shown that Christianising African leadership and socio-political institutions alone was not enough. So, the thesis has proposed a comprehensive socio-political discipleship for the transformation of both individuals and their communities. In a nutshell, the discipleship includes a socio-political intercession1, a four-dimensional discipleship, a socio-political psychotherapy and a church involvement project for socio-political transformation. / Christian Spirituality, Church History & Missiology / D. An overview of the value and effect of an integration of Christian spirituality and ethics

Stavridis, Glenn Brian 01 January 2002 (has links)
The modern world is experiencing a spiritual and moral crisis. Associated with this, Christian spirituality and ethics have become separated in the life of the individual Christian and the community of the church. The Christian understanding of human beings and the integrated nature of spirituality and ethics provides a solution to this crisis. Christian spirituality and morality both originate in the character and purposes of God as revealed in the biblical record. The value and effects of the. integral relationship between spirituality and morality can be traced throughout scripture and the history of the church. The. encounter and relationship with God, in Jesus Christ and through the presence and power of God's Spirit, transforms the disciple of Christ, which means that spirituality is the basic framework and motivation for morality. Integrated spiritual and moral formation creates moral character and moral communities which enable believers to act with love and justice. / Christian Spirituality, Church History and Missiology / M.Th. Disciples and discipleship in the Gospel of Mark, with particular reference to Mark's contrast between male and female disciples

Cox, Nicholas Christopher 31 January 2007 (has links)
This study is an exploration into female discipleship. Its primary aim is to compare and contrast Mark's portrayal of male and female followers of Jesus respectively, while its secondary aim is to establish what lessons there may be for the social status of Christian women in the kingdom of Swaziland. These ends will be pursued by looking at Mark's portrayal of male disciples and the contrast he draws between them and the female followers of Jesus. This study then concludes that Mark has a more positive view of female followers than he has of male disciples, and this may stem from the conduct of male disciples he has observed in the Church of his time. / New Testament / M.TH. Missiological cell group praxis in the local church

Van der Merwe, Pieter Retief 11 1900 (has links)
The contention of this study is that missiological cell group praxis is an appropriate vehicle to mobilize the local church for world evangelization - centrifugally reaching from "Jerusalem" and "Judea and Samaria" to the "ends of the earth (Acts 1:8). Methodologically it follows the pastoral circle of Holland & Henriot and investigates the missiological praxis of various small faith communities. The principles of the cosmological framework of Calvisnism (Kuyper, Dooyeweerd) are brought to bear on the missionary endeavours of the local church, with reference to the Dutch Reformed Church in South Africa. It argues for a missiologically integrated Cell Church, based on a definition of mission and evangelism, which is aimed at overcoming the fragmented missiological situation in mainline churches. This study argues that these small groups function as the basic cells of the local and universal Church, and shows how these communities come into existence and function as missiological outreach groups. / Christian Spirituality Church History and Missiology / M.
