In this sense, Ethics and Justice must go together, first as a minimum behavioral instruments and guiding in electoral matters, adapting to the existing social realities in our country, and increasingly to legal rules, and seek mechanisms and measures aimed at achieving social benefits. Thus, marked on Ethics, we demonstrate that the welfare state should be the promoter of Fundamental Rights and Political and Social Rights using philosophical justice approaches to the achievement of this goal, the median, proportionality actions, equality and just measure. Ethics and justice in politics, should be regarded as critical mechanisms for funding of election campaigns promoted unequal participation in relation to capital contributions exclusive source in directing political action for the coming to power. At stake is our political participation, when assessed by exclusion of equality since popular sovereignty only exists for political equality and electoral competitiveness equitably. Actions inconsistent with the ethics, not guided by social justice, dictated by donors to election campaigns with several other goals of social development as a whole, tend to political isolation and consequent failure of the electoral system. Political articulations and future benefits of certain economic groups, classes or political parties and their candidates, fighting for very different self-interest of the collective interests are promoted through mechanisms rejected by ethics, by the principles of equality and electoral legislation . This time, working on the basis of legal ethics, law and justice, we will complete the work to the promotion of positive actions, which indicate thoughts of philosophers entitled pointing out the evils of single interference of economic power in the elections / A presente dissertação tem por objetivo discutir a relação entre a Ética e o financiamento das eleições no Brasil.

Empowerment of small and medium enterprises through the defence-related industry programme

Mampye, P. Jim 03 1900 (has links)
Thesis (MPhil)--Stellenbosch University, 2003. / ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The defence industry was established for the purpose of providing the then South African Defence Force (SADF) with armaments before. The SADF was there to serve the government of the day. Since then, the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) has been established to fulfil the same as the SADF, but is much more credible and representative. Thus there has been both continuity and renewal. The idea of public policy presupposes that there is a sphere that is not private or purely individual, but is held in common. The public comprises that dimension of human activity that is regarded as requiring government or social regulation or intervention or at least common action. This related to the defence-related industries too, which require government intervention in ensuring that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) get involved in the defence industry in general. Public policy is really about defining what counts as public, who provides, who pays, and whom to pay. The modem meaning of 'policy' is that of a course of action or plan, a set of political purposes - as opposed to 'administration'. Policy is seen as rational, a manifestation of considered judgement. A policy is an attempt to define and structure a rational basis for action or inaction. Policy involves deliberate behaviour to pursue certain objectives. The distinction between action and inaction properly emphasises that policies can initiate change or resist change. Policy is intended to affect all or selected points of the external and internal environment of the political system. Policy consists of a series of actions and decisions. The policy needed by the defence-related industry in one that will allow the inflow of entrepreneurs with education to help them learn from the experienced engineers within the industry. The individual drive and interest will be the driving force for success as defined and understood by the free market economy without unnecessary government interference. The development of SMEs in the defence-related industry is part of the renewal of the defence industry. The manufacturing can be left to small firms requiring less capital and sophisticated machines and processes. Daar was dus kontinuïteit sowel as vernuwing.

Female Entrepreneurship : Self-fulfilment and Legacy, or Money andSurvival? / Kvinnligt entreprenörskap : självförverkligande eller överlevnad?

Malmberg, Lovisa January 2018 (has links)
Our world is not equal, and women are in a greater extent affected by the inequalities. Extra vulnerable for the inequalities are women in developing countries. In order to empower women and strive towards gender equality, female entrepreneurship has shown positive effects for women in developing countries. Entrepreneurial development programmers are implemented by both organizations and governments, with the aim of engaging women into business. In order to study the entrepreneurial motivations and outcomes of women in a developing country, a field study was conducted in Zambia. Organizations, working with entrepreneurial business training, as well as female entrepreneurs who took part in an entrepreneurial business training programme, were interviewed during a ten-week stay in Zambia. A comparison between women with a low level of education and a high level of education was done, in order to see whether their entrepreneurial motivations and outcomes deviate or correlates. From the findings of this study, it was concluded that women with different educational background have different motivations for entering entrepreneurial activities. Women with a higher level of education had personal motivations for entering, such as personal fulfilment, the wish to actualize an idea and the wish to leave a legacy. On the other hand, women with a low level of education were forced into entrepreneurship, in order to support for their family and mainly their children. However, regarding the entrepreneurial outcomes, they correlate, showing that entrepreneurship and business training has given Zambian women self-confidence and a business-mind.

Sougha : a public-owned establishment, assessed as a social enterprise in the UAE

Johnsen, Sarah Emmanuelle 02 1900 (has links)
The United Arab Emirates are challenged to include the national workforce into their increasingly diversified and knowledge-based economic vision. The federal Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development incubates Sougha, a non-profit company acting as market intermediary for Emirati artisans. This study aims at providing an insight into Sougha‘s potential to become a social enterprise. A pragmatic and exploratory approach is followed. An iterative process underpins the concept of social enterprise from established literature, re-visits it through a social constructivist lens as an emerging topic in the GCC region, and benchmarks Sougha against two selected social enterprise frameworks, based on data analysis from documents and interviews. Sougha demonstrates social value creation while its commercial value creation is restricted to social mission activities. Financial motives are insufficiently reflected in Sougha‘s strategic documentation; leaving doubt to whether Sougha is genuinely seeking financial sustainability, which endangers its eligibility as a social enterprise. / Development Studies / M.A. (Development Studies)
