Redesign of the interior of the JU solar carBielsa, Germán January 2017 (has links)
This thesis analyzes the interior of the solar car, used by the JU Solar Team, to improve the user experience in terms of user interaction and ergonomics. Following the Design Thinking methodology, it starts with a research phase to understand how the user interacts with the car and the elements required for this interaction during the race. It also studies the dimension of the actual interior and the anthropometric factors, some changes are proposed for a more efficient use of the space. The next phase explores new buttons and configurations for the steering wheel. The use of prototypes and sketches leads the development of the ideas, which are further developed and defined, including the graphical design and the dimensions of the interior. In the findings, the redesign of the steering wheel and interior is shown in several renders with an explanation of the final design decisions, which can be summarized in: A new shape for the steering wheel where most of the buttons have been added with new shapes and colors. The emergency buttons and light indicators have been allocated on a central control panel. The user has access to the buttons without releasing the steering wheel and the dimension of the canapé has been reduced thanks to a more efficient use of the space. As a part of the thesis a full scale model of the steering wheels and a 1:10 scale model of the interior is provided. This thesis solves some of the problems in the actual design of the solar car and explore some of the important factors in user interaction. A human-centered design approach to a project usually driven by the performance of the car and not the user experience. / Denna avhandling omfattar utveckling av interiör för solbilar med inriktning mot att förbättra för användaren. Arbetet avser att appliceras på Ju Solar teams solbil som ska delta för Högskolan i Jönköping i World Solar Challenge 2017. Forskningen i projektet fokuserar på att förstå hur användaren interagerar och samspelar med bilen och de faktiska problem som föraren har att hantera under tävlingen. Studien omfattar också antropometriska mått där förslag på ändringar gjorts för att optimera utrymmet. Utvärdering av idéer har gjorts med hjälp av skisser och prototyper, som inkluderar den grafiska designen Designbesluten kan sammanfattas med följande: • De viktiga knapparna är alla samlade i ratten. • Användning av form och färg samt position för att enkelt kunna skilja mellan knappar och dess funktioner. • Ny form för ratten med en extra grepp-zon i den övre delen. Ny utformning av knappar, former och konfiguration för ratten. • En central manöverpanel med ljusindikatorer för föraren. • Nya dimensioner av interiören för att minska förarhuvens storlek och därmed minska luftmotståndet. Som en del av avhandlingen finns en fullskalemodell av ratten och en modell i skala 1:10 av interiören tillhandahålls. Solbilar utvecklas vanligen med prestanda som prioritet men denna avhandling utforskar de problemområden som finns i anslutning till solbilens förarmiljö med människan i centrum.

A dissertação orientou-se em parte no aspecto conceitual da Análise da Tarefa procurando detalhar uma seqüência lógica desde seu surgimento, evolução, enfim, indo até sua aplicação nos projetos arquitetônicos. Esta seqüência exprime de forma global o teor do trabalho, procurando demonstrar uma afinidade entre a análise da tarefa e as funções e atividades na habitação. A dissertação apresenta um conjunto de seis técnicas de utilização da análise da tarefa de forma descritiva e fazendo referência a utilização da mesma, onde todas foram tabuladas e oferecidas em seqüência indicando a técnica empregada em um conjunto lógico de informações. Dando continuidade a esse conjunto de técnicas e buscando formar uma seqüência de pensamento foram apresentadas algumas teorias cientificas da administração do trabalho que tiveram inicialmente seus primeiros estudos nos ambientes das fábricas. A divisão do trabalho e os primeiros estudos relacionados à interação do homem e o seu ambiente de trabalho orientados pela ergonomia como ciência fornecem subsídios importantes para a arquitetura funcionalista do século XX, que é apresentada nesta dissertação em períodos designados como: primeira, segunda e terceira ondas. As funções e as atividades domésticas têm influência no dimensionamento do projeto e da habitação por isso passam a ser estudadas cientificamente por alguns pesquisadores. O objetivo da dissertação é apresentar um acervo de informações técnicas consagradas de padrões projetuais ergonômicos densamente embasados nas referências bibliográficas e de estudos das funções e atividades dos autores: J. J. Boueri, J. B. Pedro, Normas Suecas e do Ministério do Trabalho e da Habitação de Israel. / The dissertation was guided partly in the conceptual aspect of the Analysis of the Task trying to detail a logical sequence from her appearance, evolution, finally, going until her application in the architectural projects. This sequence expresses in a global way the tenor of the work, trying to demonstrate a likeness between the analysis of the task and the functions and activities in the house. The dissertation presents a group of six techniques of use of the analysis of the task in a descriptive way and making reference the use of the same, where all were tabulated and offered in sequence indicating the employed technique in a logical group of information. Giving continuity to that group of techniques and looking for to form a thought sequence some was presented theories inform of the administration of the work that you/they had their first studies initially in the atmospheres of the factories. The division of the work and the first studies related to the man\'s interaction and his/her working environment guided by the ergonomics as science supplies important subsidies for the architecture functional of the century XX, that is presented in this dissertation in periods designated as: first, second and third waves. The functions and the domestic activities have influence in the dimensioning of the project and of the house for that pass to be studied scientifically by some researchers. The objective of the dissertation is to present a collection of consecrated technical information of patterns ergonomic projetuais densely based in the bibliographical references and of studies of the functions and the authors\' activities: J. J. Boueri, J. B. Pedro, Swedish Norms and of Department of Labor and of the House of Israel.

<p>Examensarbetet genomfördes åt företaget Corus Byggsystem AB. Ett företag placerat i Halmstad som tillverkar profilplåt och lättbalk till tak och fasader. Företaget erbjuder även god rådgivning och skapar optimala lösningar för kunden.</p><p>I företagets produktion finns det en maskin som pressar specialbalkar. Denna arbetsplats är varken produktionseffektiv eller ergonomiskt riktig då materialet och balkarna lyftes manuellt, i vissa fall även över huvudet. På tunga arbetsplatser är det oerhört viktigt att se över ergonomin, både för att förbättra säkerheten och för att öka produktionsvolymen. Fokus lades därför vid att förbättra arbetsplatsen ergonomiskt för att resultera i ett säkert och produktionseffektivt resultat.</p><p>Som metod har tre olika varianter använts. Främst Ullmans metod <em>The Mechanical Design Process</em> och Fredy Olssons <em>Primär- och Principkonstruktion</em>. Även SVID’s <em>Designprocess</em> har funnits väl till pass.</p> / <p>This thesis work has been conducted for Corus Byggsystem AB. The company is located in Halmstad and manufactures profile claddings and purlins from sheet metal. The company also offers the customers professional advice and creates optimal solutions.</p><p>In the production there is a press brake that manufactures purlins. This work station has neither efficient production or is ergonomically correct. The material and purlins are lifted manually by the workers and in some cases over the head. For heavy work, it is extremely important to apply an ergonomic approach, both to improve security for the workers and to increase the manufacturing volume. The focus was therefore on how to improve the workplace ergonomically to result in a safe workplace with efficient manufacturing results.</p><p>The method that was mainly used in this project was David G. Ullmans <em>The Mechanical Design Process</em> and Fredy Olssons <em>Primärkonstruktion</em> and <em>Principkonstruktion</em>. Also SVID’s <em>Design Process</em> has been used as support.</p>

Studentų darbo su kompiuteriu ergonomika / Student's work with computer ergonomicZaveckytė, Lina 16 November 2005 (has links)
Aim of the study: To evaluate the ergonomical conditions of the students computer working.
Material and metods: The research was made in Kaunas university of Technology at the faculty of informatics. 435 students parcipated in the survey. Research data were analyzed using program SPSS 11.0 for windows.
Results: 63,2 % of guys and 36,8 % of girls participated in the survey. Students approximately spend 5,1 hours a day and approximately sleep 7,15 hours. 48,3 % of students live in the hostels. On the average 2-3 students live in one room and usually there 2 computers in the each room. 84,8 % of students are satisfied with the computer work place at the university. 87,6 % of students think that a computer has an influence of the health, but they don’t relate them with the present complains about their health. The main complains about the health are: eye tingling (40,7%), eye suffusion (37,7%), eyestrain (26,9%), eye tiredness (89,7%), reduced seeing after the computer work (63,2%). Among the lesion of musculoskeletal system the most usual are neck ache and shoulder ache (24,4%), backbone ache (12,6%), wrist ache (9,2%). They often repeat themselves several times a month and usually sitting in the uncomfortable position. The results of this study showed, that office's workers act ergonomic risk factors like unsuitable equipment of workplace, uncomfortable position in the context of space and area and uncomfortable arrangement of equipment. After the analyze of data on the physical activity was determinate that the majority (73,4 %) of office’s workers do not make absolutely or make rarely physical activity which influence their health. A big party of office’s workers say that they have to make more often the physical activity. 85 % of respondents note that they do not have of possibilities to develop their physicals features. Between the respondents the most common disorders of health are in cardiovascular system and musculoskeletal system. In this study was determinate the statistical confidential relation entire the workplace’s equipment and health discomfort in back, waist, neck, knees, shoulders, buttock , wrist. The workers who work in the office place with unsuitable equipment plain of health discomfort more often that other. Statistical confidential relation (p = 0,001) was determined entire the age of respondents and their physical activity – oldest respondents are more passives.

Object of the Paper: cause of backaches suffered by employees.The foolowing tasks have been set: to reveal theoretical aspects of the conception of ergonomics and the influence thereof on occurrence of backaches; to evaluate prevalence of backaches suffered by shop-assistants/ consultants; to reveal the cause of backaches in employes occurring as a result of ergonomic conditions; to find out what were the means to relieve the suffered backache.

An ergonomic control panel was designed for a remotely operated agricultural tractor. In order to inform the design, information was collected via ergonomic literature, ride-alongs with tractor operators, and interviews with tractor operators and experienced design professionals. Ride-alongs were used to determine frequency and sequence of use in agricultural tractors. The most frequently used control was the one that controlled the implement being pulled behind the tractor. There was no sequence pattern observed over all the ride-alongs. The control panel design was evaluated using design criteria from the information collected, the Index of Functionality, and the Index of Accessibility. The Index of Functionality was assessed and validated as a tool for ergonomic control panel design. The final design satisfied all the criteria outlined and achieved good index scores.

A ergonomia pode ser aplicada de diversas formas, tais como na fase inicial de um projeto, quando se aplica a ergonomia de concepção; como uma intervenção, procurando corrigir algum problema existente ou aproveitando outras mudanças para atribuir aspectos ergonômicos; ou na forma de melhoria contínua, em que entram a ergonomia participativa e de conscientização. Entretanto uma das principais barreiras encontradas pela ergonomia, ao introduzir-se no ambiente industrial, é a dificuldade em contabilizar, em termos financeiros, os benefícios que podem ser gerados pela sua aplicação. A partir da metodologia proposta pela SAABEPE, foi possível determinarem-se as condições que uma empresa apresenta para avaliar economicamente projetos de ergonomia por meio da verificação da presença de um conjunto de indicadores, bem como pela investigação de sua origem e lógica de uso na gestão da empresa. O objetivo deste trabalho é evidenciar as condições que as empresas possuem para executar esse tipo de avaliação de acordo com as informações existentes em seu sistema de gestão. O diferencial deste trabalho está na aplicação da metodologia que focalizou médias e pequenas empresas, assim, realizando estudo de casos em duas empresas. Percebeu-se que a empresa de médio porte conta com um volume de informações maior que a outra, apesar de as duas possuírem informações que possibilitam a avaliação de projetos de ergonomia. Com base no levantamento das informações, foram indicadas melhorias com a intenção de que as empresas obtenham um banco de dados mais completo para avaliar projetos de ergonomia. / The ergonomics may exist in different ways, such as in the early stage of a project, while the ergonomic design is applied; as an intervention, trying to correct some existing problem or taking advantage of other changes to assign ergonomics; or even in the form of continuous improvement, they enter awareness and participatory ergonomics. However one of the main barriers faced by ergonomics to be introduced in the industrial environment is the difficulty in accounting, in financial terms, the benefits that may be generated by the application. From the methodology proposed by SAABEPE, it was possible to determine whether the conditions that a company has to economically evaluate ergonomic designs by verifying the presence of a set of indicators, as well as the investigation of their origin and use in the management logic company. The objective of this work is to show the conditions that companies have to perform this type of evaluation in accordance with existing information management system. The differential of this work is the application of the methodology which focused on small-sized and medium-sized firms conducting case studies in two companies. It was noticed that the medium-sized company has a greater volume of information than the other, although both have information that could support the financial evaluation of ergonomics. Based on survey information, it was suggested improvements with the intention of companies to obtain a database of more complete data to evaluate ergonomics.

Their perception of the world is based on what is learnt through the other senses. The research aims to discuss the problematic involving the visually impaired persons and their relationships with photography and art. For better understanding this contradictory relation, the researcher has blindfolded his eyes to temporarily experiment blindness in six experiments. At the same time, meetings with fifteen visually impaired persons were organized to observe and share information regarding photography for the equivalent development of the work.
