Kost vid träning : En kvantitativ studie på elitinnebandyspelares och motionärers kunskap om kostrekommendationer / Nutrition for exercise : A quantitative study of elite floorball players’ and amateur athletes’ knowledge of nutrition recommendations

Persson, Sarah, Claesson, Madeleine Stigsson January 2013 (has links)
Background It is important to add energy and nutrients before, during and after a workout session to perform on a high level. Several guidelines which describe this nutritional intake exist. Objective To compare the knowledge among Swedish elite floorball players and amateur athletes regarding nutritional guidelines before, during and after training sessions. Also to investigate their knowledge of how to optimize their performance with the correct nutrition, where this knowledge has been found and their interest in learning more about recommended nutrition.Method A quantitative study, based on a questionnaire which examines the parameters suited to the objective. A correction template was formulated for processing the data. The template is based on recommendations from the American Dietetic Association and Dietitians of Canada, the Swedish Olympic Committee and Uppladdningen – Ladda för Innebandy. The significance level was chosen to be p<0.05.Results The study involved 79 Swedish elite floorball players and 101 amateur athletes. No statistically significant difference was found between the groups in terms of their knowledge of the recommendations regarding nutrition in conjunction with training. Both groups seemed more knowledgeable of the recommendations regarding nutrition during and after workouts compared to their knowledge of how to prepare for a workout. Most participants wanted to learn more about performance optimization with nutrition, at the same time 96 % of the floorball players and 83 % of the amateurs considered their knowledge to be sufficient. Conclusion Generally the elite floorball players estimated their knowledge about nutrition for exercising to be higher, but their exhibited knowledge were similar to the knowledge shown by the amateur athletes. Guidelines regarding nutrition before workouts should be focused on when informing Swedish floorball players and amateur athletes, and the interest to learn more exists.

”Kvinnlig idrottare” eller bara idrottare? : En kvantitativ studie – Stereotyper och könsmönster i svensk sportjournalistik / "Female athlete" or just “athletes”? : A quantitative study - Stereotypes and gender patterns in Swedish sports journalism

Hallin, Gustaf January 2019 (has links)
My ambition with this study is to seek clearance in how the media shape male and female floorball players in Sweden. I´ve used a quantitative content analysis for that purpose. One of my main questions was with which attributes female or male players gets ascribed. I studied over 300 articles in Swedish newspapers Aftonbladet and Expressen. 194 articles were mainly about male players, and 112 articles were about female players. Eighteen articles couldn´t be defined, and fall under that variable. A total of 323 articles were found. I found that female players are more discriminated in terms of speaking directly in the article. The male players were more represented in the articles, with own quotes. One interesting thing found was that objectification is a rare thing on these platforms. If anything is to be said regarding that, it´s the fact that male players are more subject to objectification. But the results were so few, that it would be unwise to make a big deal out of it. Also interesting is that male players more often are mentioned as “athletes” and female players are more often mentioned as “people” or just “persons”. They are described with their name. But, female players are at the same time also more often than the male players, described with qualities as players and with achievements that follows with those skills. Another result was that male players all together, gets more space in the media, than the female players. Due to the fact that the male players gets a lot more articles, and also more pictures, if you look at the code-scheme.

Etnisk mångfald inom innebandyn – ledarnas syn : En kvalitativ studie om hur ledare inom svensk innebandy uppfattar arbetet med etnisk mångfald

Byström, Erik, Forsvik, Olof January 2014 (has links)
Floorball is currently the second largest sport in Sweden, yet there is a low ethnic diversity. This study aims to describe, explain and understand how the leaders in Swedish floorball perceive the work with ethnic diversity from the Swedish Floorball Federation and within the associations they seem. The questions of the study are: How do leaders perceive that the Swedish Floorball Federation works to promote ethical diversity in the within the federation? How do the leaders describe their own efforts to promote ethnic diversity within their team / association? How do the leaders perceive their role in increasing ethnic diversity? How do the leaders perceive the sport as an integration arena? The study was based on a qualitative method with semi-structured interviews. The respondents were eight leaders from four different associations, two leaders from each association. Overall, the results show that leaders have a low knowledge in the work to promote ethnic diversity in floorball. Only one of the associations had been working actively on the issue. Finally, the leaders saw their role as important and they underlined that sport is a suitable integration arena.

Hodnocení kondiční připravenosti ve florbalu žen / Assessment of fitness preparedness of floorball women

Procházková, Jitka January 2019 (has links)
Title: Assessment of fitness preparedness of floorball women Objectives: The main aim of this work is to find out and compare selected motor skills in sixteen women player of floorball team (Czech extraleague). Another goal is to evaluate the adequacy of the selected test battery for identifying fitness readiness in floorball players using Pearson correlation coefficient. Methods: The method of (pre)experiment in the form of an intervention program was used. The research was carried out in the form of testing according to a test battery, which included four types of tests: run 50 m, run 30 m backwards, crunches repeated, bench press max (maximum weight in the individuality of the player) and bench press repeated (50 % body weight). The measured performance values in the tests were then evaluated and compared with each other. Results: The players of the tested group showed a significant improvement in 3 tests out of 5 overall after passing the input and output measurements. These consisted of crunches tests repeatedly (improvement by 10,82 %), bench press max (improvement by 6,1 %) and bench press repeatedly (improvement by 9,73 %). On the other hand, in the 50 m run and the 30 m run backwards test, we see little improvement. The players achieved the most significant improvement in the crunches test...

Knee kinematics during a novel hop test with an unanticipated change of direction for female floorball athletes and controls : Evaluation of within-session and test-retest reliability and assessment of knee function

Åström, William January 2016 (has links)
Introduction: The incidence of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries in female floorball is relativley high, and the risk for sustaining a second ACL injury is greater compared to previously uninjured. Existing evaluation tests in rehabilition may not be discriminative enough to guide decisions on return to sport Aim: To evaluate the withinAsession and testAretest reliability of knee kinematics in floorball athletes and controls during a hop encompassing a sudden unanticipated change of direction. A second aim was to investigate the discriminative validity by comparing the test outcomes between the athletes and a control group of nonAathletes. Method: 11 elite floorball athletes and 8 controls were tested on two occassions separated by one to three weeks. Knee kinematics, ground contact time and number of succesfull hops were analyzed. Relative reliability was quantifyed by Intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and absolute reliability by standard error of measurement (SEM). Results: ICCs for knee kinematics withinAsession reliability were excellent (0.83A0.96) for athletes and poor to excellent (0.40A0.94) for the controls. For the testAretest reliability, the athletes had good to excellent (0.56A0.96) reliability and the controls had poor to excellent (0.26A0.93) reliability. Only two measured kinematic variables were significantly different between the groups. Conclusion: This pilot study indictate good to excellent reliability for the majority of the kinematic variables tested and, therefore, it could be assumed to be adequatley reliable. Discriminative validity needs to be further evaluated in a larger material.

Difference in estimated VO2max between the 30-15 intermittent fitness-test and 20-meter shuttle test in amateur floorball-players.

Råsäter, Kristoffer January 2016 (has links)
Background: Floorball is a sport where not a lot of research have been done, it is a young sport and up until now it has only been played in Europe. The sport is in present days growing rapidly in popularity and is expanding worldwide. Because of the lack of research coaches have little knowledge regarding VO2max testing within the sport. Aim: The aim of the study was to compare results of both a 30-15 intermittent fitness test (IFT) and a 20-meter shuttle test (beep test) and see if there is a difference between estimated VO2max for athletes playing floorball. The hypothesis was that because the 30-15IFT mimics the movement pattern of floorball more than the beep test does, athletes playing this sports should score a higher result in the 30-15IFT. Methods: The study was done on fifteen sub-elite floorball players (8 male and 7 female) aged 20.6 years ± SD 3.5. The test persons performed two aerobic fitness tests, Beep test and 30-15IFT. The beep test consists of a number of 20 meter shuttle runs with increased speeds every minute and the 30-15IFT consists of 30 seconds of running followed by 15 seconds of rest with increased running speed every 45 seconds. A paired sample t-test was used to compare the estimated VO2max results of both tests. Results: Results show that 66% test persons scored a higher result in the 30-15IFT compared to the beep test. However, there was no statistical difference between the two tests.  The players scored a mean value of 48.3 ml/kg/min ± 3.8 during the 30-15IFT and 45.4 ml/kg/min during the beep test ± 5.9, p=0.06 Conclusion: The 30-15IFT is equally as good as the beep test at estimating VO2max in floorball players. A factor that might have affected the results was that the formula for calculating VO2max in the beep test does not take age and weight into consideration while the formula for the 30-15IFT does. In the future, work should be done at “constructing” a new formula for the beep test.

Efekt kompenzačních cvičení na hráčky florbalu - kategorie ženy extraliga / Efect of compensatory exercises on female floorball players - category women, Czech top league

Šimáčková, Olga January 2014 (has links)
Title: Efect of compensatory exercises on female floorball players - category women, Czech top league Objectives: Diagnose muscles with a tendency to shorten and weaken and take the basic anthropometric parameters of female floorball players. Build a stack of exercises focusing on problem areas that are not difficult to perform and don't require correction of another person. Methods: A case study in which we watched the female floorball players aged 18-32 years. Diagnose of shortened and weakened muscles was performed according to Janda muscle function test, method pretest - posttest. The measured values from pretest were compared with posttest values. In the meantime the intervention program (form of compensatory exercises) was applied on female floorball players. Results: 70% of the players were identified estimated muscle imbalances that arise from the nature of this sport. It has been shown that two months of exercise can positively affect shortened and weakened muscle. The change of the degree of "short" to "unshorted" occurred in 41% of muscles. Key words: floorball, compensatory exercises, muscle imbalance

Weissová, Marie January 2013 (has links)
Title: The ankle joint injury prevention of floorball players Objectives: The main objective of this work is to determine what prevention of ankle joint and if ever floorball players use. The research is focused on players from first League and Extraleague in Czech Republic. Furthermore, what charakter of ankle joint injury is the most experienced by players , if there is a link between the injury of ankle joint and positions which are players playing, or a link between the injury of ankle joint with the length and frequency of trainings. The work deals also with the link between origins of injuries on rebound or swing leg. Methods: In the work has been used quantitative type of research using questionnaires. The results were statistically processed by programmes Microsoft Excel and Statistical Package for Social Science 17.0 (SPSS). Results: The research found that the incidence of ankle joint injuries by floorball players is high. The most common character of ankle joint injury is stretched ligaments. The link between injuries and the length and frequency of trainings, or the link between posts which players play and injuries can't be rejected. The injury of ankle joint occurs more frequently on rebound leg. Furthermore, it was found that many players are using some kind of prevention, but very...
