O objetivo é analisar/compreender a potencialidade emancipatória dessas atividades a partir dos estudos dos pensadores da Escola de Frankfurt. A hipótese é de que o contato das pessoas com a natureza no tempo livre pode promover uma relação em que tanto a natureza quanto o sujeito não são percebidos como objeto de exploração e dominação; relação que nas condições de administração social encontra-se prejudicada e até obstaculizada. Constituída de três capítulos, os dois primeiros apresentam e discutem o aporte conceitual e teórico que analisa historicamente o trabalho e o tempo livre, enquanto o último analisa e reflete criticamente os dados coletados por meio de pesquisa empírica de práticas de lazer em meio à natureza na cidade de Carrancas/MG, conhecida como uma espécie de refúgio daqueles que vivem em centros urbanos maiores devido às suas belezas naturais. / Abstract: This research deals with a typical feature of the contemporary societies, the social administration of the physical activities in the free time along with the nature. The objective is to understand the emancipatory potentiality of these activities from the studies at Frankfurt's School. The hypothesis is that the people's contact with the nature in their free time can promote a relationship that both the nature and the individual are realized like non-stuffed nature, relation that, in the social conditions of administration is damaged and even obstructed. This survey is constituted by three chapters, in the two first, it shows a conceptual and theoretical aphostl studied in the last analysis, and reflects critically the collected data through the empirical investigation-work in the town of Carrancas/MG, known as a kind of refuge for the ones who live in bigger urban centers due to the beautiful waterfalls. / Doutor

Orientador: Antônio Alberto Machado / Banca: Fabiana Cristina Severi / Banca: Silvio Luiz de Almeida / Resumo: O presente trabalho tem por objeto o estudo da bioética como fenômeno da modernidade, a partir de um olhar filosófico que diagnostica os problemas bioéticos como excrescências de uma racionalidade específica, que tem sua égide no início dos tempos modernos, com o método cartesiano, seu apogeu no iluminismo (ou esclarecimento), e se desenvolve enquanto cientificismo positivista e tecnologia até ao presente. As problemáticas decorrentes do avanço da biotecnologia, da poluição ambiental e da escassez de tratamentos médicos para populações pouco favorecidas estão identificadas como resultados necessários de uma razão mitificada, totalitária, perversa e autopoiética, serviçal do sistema econômico capitalista. Para a elaboração dessas afirmações, o trabalho parte do materialismo histórico dialético enquanto epistemologia fundamental e terá, na primeira geração da Escola de Frankfurt, seu principal referencial teórico. Este será cotejado com o pensamento de outros autores de maneira coerente, sem o desvio do eixo epistêmico fundamental. Para isso, em todo o percurso, não se perdeu de vista que razão e capitalismo estão necessariamente imbricados enquanto grandes alicerces da modernidade, e que toda critica à ciência moderna não pode desconsiderar que ela é mais um processo de produção do capital. Além da correlação entre problemas bioéticos e razão esclarecida, o trabalho percorre a relação entre razão e medicina, bem como entre razão e direito, ambos tecnicizados pelo positivismo a serviço do capital. Devassando algumas estruturas da medicina, busca-se evidenciar a dificuldade pratica de edificação de uma bioética. Ao lançar seu olhar sobre o direito moderno, o trabalho denota que o biodireito é o pior caminho de desdobramento para a bioética. Por fim, na esperança de uma proposta bioética possível, o trabalho realiza uma ponte entre esta e os direitos... / Abstract: Bioethics is object of this study as a contemporary phenomenon, from a philosophical look that diagnoses the bioethical problems as outgrowths of a specific rationality, which has its aegis in early modern times, with the Cartesian method, its peak the Enlightenment and develops as positivistic scientism and technology until current days. The issues arising from advances in biotechnology, environmental pollution and the scarcity of medical treatments for disadvantaged populations is identified as a necessary result of a mythologized reason, totalitarian, perverted and autopoietic, servant of the capitalist economic system. For the preparation of these statements this study comes from historical materialism dialectical epistemology as fundamental, and it has, in the first generation of the Frankfurt School, its main theoretical framework. This will be collated with the thought of other authors consistently, without the fundamental epistemic axis deviation. For this, all the way, not lost sight of why capitalism is necessarily intertwined as major foundations of modernity, and that any criticism of modern science can not ignore that it is one more process of capital production. Besides the correlation between bioethical problems and enlightened reason, this work covers the relationship between reason and medicine, as well as between reason and law, both tecnicized by positivism in service of capital. Looking some structures of medicine, the study seeks to highlight the difficulty of building a practical bioethics. In launching his gaze on modern law, the work shows that the biolaw is the worst way to split bioethics. Finally, in the hope of a possible proposal bioethics, the work makes a bridge between this and human rights, through the redemption of a dialectical reason, reflective and emancipatory, and multiculturalism / Mestre

Depuis le début du 20e siècle, la consommation est devenue un appareil idéologique que les masses utilisent pour acquérir une auto-identité par la voie des sens symboliques des marchandises. Cette évolution de la consommation vers le consumérisme ne peut être expliquée de l’intérieur du consensus théorique de la Science sous influence du paradigme dominant. Toutefois, la transformation peut être comprise par la voie d’une critique immanente de la rationalité. La consommation peut être vue comme la nouvelle méthode de la socialisation que l’individu utilise afin de se lier à la communauté dans la mesure où il est dépourvu dans la modernité du lien direct avec ses semblables. Le consensus théorique de la partie idéologique de la Science montre cette nouvelle méthode comme moyen de pacification des conflits qui peuvent perturber l’unité sociale, alors qu’en réalité la consommation de masse est source de destruction et de contradiction. La thèse essaye de démontrer la contradiction de ce nouveau modèle de socialisation et de clarifier le véritable rôle de la consommation : assurer la passivité des masses en réponse aux conflits sociaux du début du 20e siècle. « La peur de la liberté » d’Erich Fromm est utilisé pour la base de la recherche et les idées de l’école de Francfort sont évoquées pour développer la méthode de recherche. / Since the beginning of the 20th century, the consumption has become an ideological apparatus which is used for acquiring a self-identity through the symbolic meanings of the products. This evolution of the consumption in the consumerism cannot be comprehended inside the theoretical consensus of Science which is under the influence of the dominating paradigm. However, the transformation can be understood through an immanent critique of the rationality. The consumption can be seen as the new method of socialization that the individual uses to link herself/himself to the community insofar as the individual lacks in the modernity the direct link with the others. The theoretical consensus of the ideological part of Science shows this new method as a way to pacify the individual conflicts which can disrupt the social unity, in reality the mass consumption is the source of destruction and contradiction. The thesis aims to point out that contradiction of the theory and to clarify the real role of the consumption: constitute the passiveness of the masses in response to the social conflicts of the beginning of 20th century. The book “Escape from Freedom” of Erich Fromm is used as the base of the research and the ideas of the Frankfurt School are evoked in order to develop the research method.

This master thesis has two major purposes. First purpose of this master thesis is to discuss qualitative and comparative approach to analysis, qualitative data (re)use, and their combination because, in recent years, these approaches have become increasingly important in the discourse of social sciences being related to the contemporary methodological discussions. The other purpose of this master thesis is to introduce the example of comparative (re)use of qualitative data because data (re)use is rather low and the example of this approach will contribute to its development. I discuss the application of this combination on the example of the membership categorization analysis that was focused on the comparison of member categories use by "drug dealers" in Prague and Frankfurt. The analysis revealed similarities as well as differences in the local production of member categories. The similar use of member categories and their predicates is based in the similar occasion (research interview) and in the similar social situation of interviewees (educated, not penalized). Furthermore, the similar use of categories suggests that, in both cases, the omnirelevant member category of drug dealer is relevant and have similar meanings. In order to do this, fragments of three important works by these authors are analyzed: Eclipse of Reason, Dialetic of the Enlightenment, and Minima Moralia. The main question is that of the possible relation between the annulment of individuality pointed out in Adorno and Horkheimer¿s social critic and the possibilities of resistance of the individual reported by the authors. In this text, the relation of critical theory and religion is analysed, comparing Jürgen Habermas's late philosophy with the philosophy of his predecessor Theodor W. Adorno. The question I ask is: What changes has the relation of critical theory and religion undergone in the transition from Adorno's thinking to that of his successor? As I try to answer this question, I develop a specific understanding of Adorno's philosophy as a "contemplative eschatology", and perform an in-depth study of how, why, and with what consequences it has changed to a frame oriented towards reaching understanding. In so doing, I point out the ambivalence which the turn towards understanding breeds, and suggest the religious motives discovered in Adorno's work deserve further attention.

The subject of this study is Christian education in the church. This practical-theological work starts from the premise of the relevance of a commitment experience for the faith development of the individual and studies the formats and contents of continuing formal faith education of young Christians in evangelical free churches in a postmodern-urban milieu in Frankfurt. Its aim is to find out how well the New Testament discipleship topics of Jesus are integrated into the faith education in the church, and what reception difficulties and chances they experience in regard to the Zeitgeist. Are the New Testament discipleship topics still the basic guidelines with regard to content? The relationship between faith development, faith education and the local church is presented within a religion- and church-pedagogical approach and a connection to education for discipleship is made. The biblical premise is the discipleship commission of Jesus (Mt 28:18-20) and its church-pedagogical reply. / Der Untersuchungsgegenstand ist die christliche Erziehung in der Gemeinde. Diese praktisch-theologische Arbeit geht aus von der Bedeutung einer Commitment-Erfahrung für die Glaubensentwicklung des Einzelnen und untersucht die Formate und Inhalte der weiterführenden formalen Glaubenserziehung junger Christen in evangelikal-freikirchlichen Gemeinden im postmodern-urbanen Umfeld in Frankfurt. Ihr Ziel ist es, herauszufinden, inwiefern heute die neutestamentlichen Nachfolgethemen Jesu in der gemeindlichen Glaubenserziehung behandelt werden und welche Rezeptionsschwierigkeiten und Chancen sie im heutigen Zeitgeist haben. Sind dabei die neutestamentlichen Nachfolgethemen Jesu noch die inhaltlichen Grundrichtlinien? In einem religions- und gemeindepädagogischen Zugang wird die Beziehung von Glaubensentwicklung, Glaubenserziehung und der Ortsgemeinde gezeigt und mit der Erziehung zur Nachfolge verknüpft.
