Faktorer som påverkar elevers motivation att lära sig ett modernt språk i grundskolan / Factors Affecting Students Motivation to Learn a Modern Language in Secondary School

Negreiros Persson, Janaina January 2018 (has links)

Hermansson, Josefine, Stolpe, Amanda January 2018 (has links)
Purpose: The aim of the study is to investigate the two topteams and two bottomteams scoring statistics from the three top soccer leagues in Europe during the 2016/2017 season. From which zone are the shots taken which results in goals? From which zone are the shots taken on the goal, but do not result in goals? From which zone are the shots taken that end up outside the goal? From which zone are the shots taken that are blocked by opponents? Methods: A quantitative method was used where data was obtained from a website called www.squawka.com. A total of 456 matches from six top teams and six bottom teams were analyzed from the leagues Serie A, La Liga and Premier League during the 2016/2017 season. A template was used to analyze in which zones the shots was taken. The data was analyzed with Chi square crosstab post-hoc test. Results: Both groups scored the most goals from shots taken within the penalty area. These zones also saw the highest rate of shots on goal, but did not result in goals were taken. At shots that ended up outside the goal, both the top teams and the bottom teams took the most shots centrally, outside the penalty area, where the top team also took a large part of the shooting center inside the penalty area. At a shot blocked by opponents, both the top teams and the bottom teams took most shots centrally outside the penalty area, where a large proportion was taken within the penalty area. Conclusions: The study revealed major similarities between the top and bottom teams during the 2016/2017 season, where it was shown that the top team took more total shots over the season and the highest number of shots that resulted in goals. Both groups mostly took the shot at the center of the plane, where the zones within the penalty area are proved to be the most effective zone for goal creation. Through this knowledge of the top team and the bottom team's shot statistics, important attack patterns emerge which may be used for coaches in the higher leagues. Trainers can tactically draw their own players to take shots from the effective zones to increase the chances of scoring goals. The statistics may also be used by teams to plan effective defense-stategies.

Lindroth, Alexander, Östlund, Maija January 2018 (has links)
A global race between countries for the most valuable medals has triggered the demand of the athletes even more than before. To cope with the increased pressure the athletes not only need physical but also mental strength. Athletes and coaches stresses the importance of motivation to build the mental strength that is needed. This study researched Swedish wrestling and was built on eight elite wrestlers thoughts and experiences regarding motivation. The goal was to examine these experiences in relation to the athletes ongoing athletic career and goal achievement. The study started as a working project from the Swedish Wrestling Association and their purpose was to study the athletes road to becoming wrestlers at the highest levels of the game. Qualitative data form the eight elite wrestlers was gathered from interviews with questions regarding their journey from starting with wrestling to becoming athletes at the highest level of the game. The respondents ages varied from 19 to 31 and during the interviews they had to reflect on the subjects at hand. Results of the study pointed out the importance of high objectives and the self belief that is necessary to become the best in the world. The athletes that participated in the study also felt the need for interim goals to push forward and pinpointed all the sacrifices that is key to succeed at the highest level of international wrestling. The paper also discusses three key psychological needs within the Self-Determination theory connected with the athletes experiences. The essential need to be apart of something larger, be able to influence their own existence and also be pushed to limits where development occur but not surpass their own ability. As a conclusion this study tries to give answers to how the athletes stay motivated in the ever-changing sports climate.

Aguiar, Priscilla Spindola de January 2017 (has links)
A performance analysis is studied over many years, a perspective of analysis of teaching effectiveness and improvement of pedagogical action. This discussion about teaching with the possibility of multiple practices, that is, non linear, but variable and evolutionary, considering different methodological styles. The concept of styles here present has as a form of action of the teacher, referring to its action, and form of communication. The School Physical Education consolidated as a curricular component is based on a body culture of the movement. However the great questioning of the discipline is related to a quality of its classes, that is, with a capacity of professors in objectives to list, to plan and to organize specific contents of the area. In the literature there is a lack of knowledge about how the contents of school physical education will translate into concrete learning. From these gaps, it is evident that a series of surveys that deal with the teaching of physical education teachers and the responsibility with the objectives of curricular components, or as a Physical Education school has been presenting in the educational scope. For the general purpose of this study was considered as one of the styles of fundamental and professional teaching of physical education teachers and as specific objectives to consider the objectives and contents of elementary school physical education; The evaluation of the teacher during a practical class of Physical Education school; And an analysis of the consistency between the objectives and the evidenced contents and the involvement of the teachers. Thus, it is a study with an exploratory descriptive design that uses a mixed approach. In this model, quantitative and qualitative techniques are used simultaneously during a data collection phase and the results shared during an interpretation phase. The sample is constituted by the Physical Education teachers of Elementary School of the municipal network of Porto Alegre. An initial communication to an electronic address via the Municipal Department of Education. We contacted by email with 54 schools, are a sample was effectively constituted by 4 schools resulting in 5 teachers. For data collection for two instruments. The first instrument used in the field research for a semistructured interview with Physical Education teachers. The issues related to the discipline of Physical Education and teaching-discipline and its pedagogical action, ie, its objectives, contents, methodological procedures and characteristics of the classes. As interviews were recorded and transcribed and an analysis of the generated content was done later. The second instrument used as lecture notes for the SOFIT (aptitude instruction time observation system). SOFIT is a tool that aims to evaluate the quality of physical education teaching. An observation with the SOFIT instrument is divided into two phases. Following the protocol of this instrument, two classes of each teacher were recorded, six lessons (3 boys and 3 girls), two, one boy and one girl, an example of substitution of the observed students. As analyzes of the phases were made and included in the discourse on the pedagogical action of the teacher. As results, it was identified as the profile of the research subjects, their methodological conceptions and some strategies. According to the results, it is not identified with the pedagogical styles, but with the pattern of speeches and performances. The teachers studied, for the most part, presented objectives, context, and involvement in similar classes. For the most part, the contexts of the classes were related to motor, motor and sports skills and with explanation of rules and knowledge. The teachers' attitude towards the issue of education and the administration of the activities, that is, the participating teachers, spent more than half of the time of class involved with the activities and with the students. So to conclude, the School Physical Education seen here is a discipline, planned and structured. These results are positive for the Physical Education school to consolidate its identity without school context and not academic environment.

Compras como progresso em objetivos

Gonçalves, Manuela Albornoz January 2014 (has links)
Consumers often use products to help them pursue their goals. Sometimes, however, consumers only purchase the products and do not use them. This occurs especially when the purchased products are associated with ongoing goals, i.e., goals that require time and effort toward goal attainment. This dissertation investigates whether consumers perceive the purchase of a product that is related to an ongoing goal as goal progress, based on the rationale developed by Fishbach and Dhar (2005), which proposes that when consumers perceive an action as goal progress, their subsequent actions are more likely to be inconsistent with the focal goal. Furthermore, it is proposed that the perception of goal progress is contingent to the strength of the association between goal and product. Four experiments were designed to test these effects, the first test the effect of purchase compared to a control group, the second test the effect of purchase in relation to an effective action in goal, the third study verifies the impact of perceived progress in motivation and the last study shows the interaction between the action (purchase vs effective) and the strength of association in the inference of goal progress.

Partial Satisfaction Planning: Representation and Solving Methods

January 2012 (has links)
abstract: Automated planning problems classically involve finding a sequence of actions that transform an initial state to some state satisfying a conjunctive set of goals with no temporal constraints. But in many real-world problems, the best plan may involve satisfying only a subset of goals or missing defined goal deadlines. For example, this may be required when goals are logically conflicting, or when there are time or cost constraints such that achieving all goals on time may be too expensive. In this case, goals and deadlines must be declared as soft. I call these partial satisfaction planning (PSP) problems. In this work, I focus on particular types of PSP problems, where goals are given a quantitative value based on whether (or when) they are achieved. The objective is to find a plan with the best quality. A first challenge is in finding adequate goal representations that capture common types of goal achievement rewards and costs. One popular representation is to give a single reward on each goal of a planning problem. I further expand on this approach by allowing users to directly introduce utility dependencies, providing for changes of goal achievement reward directly based on the goals a plan achieves. After, I introduce time-dependent goal costs, where a plan incurs penalty if it will achieve a goal past a specified deadline. To solve PSP problems with goal utility dependencies, I look at using state-of-the-art methodologies currently employed for classical planning problems involving heuristic search. In doing so, one faces the challenge of simultaneously determining the best set of goals and plan to achieve them. This is complicated by utility dependencies defined by a user and cost dependencies within the plan. To address this, I introduce a set of heuristics based on combinations using relaxed plans and integer programming formulations. Further, I explore an approach to improve search through learning techniques by using automatically generated state features to find new states from which to search. Finally, the investigation into handling time-dependent goal costs leads us to an improved search technique derived from observations based on solving discretized approximations of cost functions. / Dissertation/Thesis / Ph.D. Computer Science 2012

Connecting Pain Intensity to Work Goal and Lifestyle Goal Progress: Examining Mediation and Moderation Using Multi-Level Modeling

January 2014 (has links)
abstract: The present study examined the association of pain intensity and goal progress in a community sample of 132 adults with chronic pain who participated in a 21 day diary study. Multilevel modeling was employed to investigate the effect of morning pain intensity on evening goal progress as mediated by pain's interference with afternoon goal pursuit. Moderation effects of pain acceptance and pain catastrophizing on the associations between pain and interference with both work and lifestyle goal pursuit were also tested. The results showed that the relationship between morning pain and pain's interference with work goal pursuit in the afternoon was significantly moderated by a pain acceptance. In addition, it was found that the mediated effect differed across levels of pain acceptance; that is: (1) there was a significant mediation effect when pain acceptance was at its mean and one standard deviation below the mean; but (2) there was no mediation effect when pain acceptance was one standard deviation above the mean. It appears that high pain acceptance significantly attenuates the power of nociception in disrupting one's work goal pursuit. However, in the lifestyle goal model, none of the moderators were significant nor was there a significant association between pain interference with goal pursuit and goal progress. Only morning pain intensity significantly predicted afternoon interference with lifestyle goal pursuit. Further interpretation of the present findings and potential explanations of those inconsistencies are elaborated on discussion. Limitations and the clinical implication of the current study were considered, along with suggestions for future studies. / Dissertation/Thesis / M.A. Psychology 2014

Post-breakup Emotion and Obsessive Relational Intrusion in the Mediated World

January 2014 (has links)
abstract: The present study focused on those who had recently been involved in a romantic relationship that ended in a breakup. Data was collected from 326 participants using an online questionnaire. Participants were asked questions about goal linking, rumination, self-efficacy, Facebook ORI behaviors, and emotional response questions. The results indicated that there were two types of Facebook ORI behaviors: explicit and covert. Explicit ORI was predicted by self-efficacy among those whose partner ended the relationship, as well as goal linking when the breakup was self-initiated. Covert ORI was predicted by rumination across all levels of breakup initiator (self, partner, or mutual). Moreover, only general negative emotions predicted Covert ORI, but general negative emotion and positive emotion predicted Explicit ORI. Finally, the results showed that those who were broken up with engaged in more Covert ORI behaviors than those who ended the relationship themselves or who mutually ended the relationship. These results suggest that Relational Goal Pursuit theory, which is commonly used to explain ORI behavior, be reconceptualized. / Dissertation/Thesis / Ph.D. Communication Studies 2014
