Participatory cities are those that citizens participate in the construction and improvement of their common daily life. In this direction, the idea of this work is that through a website people can record issues/occurrences related to their city. Examples of occurrences are crimes, accidents, maintenance issues, among others. Through the same site, citizens can get global information about the city, resulted from the integration of the supplied data by the use of a visualization scheme. The goal of this work is to create views and interactions about the occurrences registered in a participatory city. For this, many concepts are studied like: data visualizing, Voronoi diagrams, quaternary tree, convex hull and Google Maps API. Starting from this studies, there is created a model visualization of occurrences. The resulting visualizations generate regions according occurrences densities. Based on occurrences densities and also in agreement with a context distribution the interaction between two classes of events befall. Criminal occurrences and police occurrences are the classes of events selected to interact. The wealth context distribution is apllied with the aim to be attractive for the criminal occurrences. The system behavior arising from interactions is analyzed and graphically represented.

EFICIÊNCIA DE MALHAS AMOSTRAIS UTILIZADAS NA CARACTERIZAÇÃO DE ATRIBUTOS QUÍMICOS EM LATOSSOLOS MANEJADOS COM AGRICULTURA DE PRECISÃO / EFFICIENCY OF SAMPLING GRIDS USED IN THE CHARACTERIZATION OF CHEMICAL ATTRIBUTES IN OXISOLS MANAGED WITH PRECISION AGRICULTURE

Cherubin, Maurício Roberto 07 January 2013 (has links)
Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The georeferenced soil sampling using sampling grids is the main strategy of precision agriculture (PA) to recognize the spatial variability of soil attributes, allowing manage them in site-specific. In this context, the objective of the work was to evaluate the efficiency of using different sizes of sampling grids in the characterization of spatial variability of chemical attributes in Oxisols managed with PA in Southern Brazil. Therefore, the work consists of three studies. In studies one and two were used 60 areas (6,046.55 ha), located in 23 counties of North region of Rio Grande do Sul (RS). The areas were sampled using regular grids of 100 x 100 m (20 areas), 142 x 142 m (20 areas) and 173 x 173 m (20 areas), being that 10 areas of each grid were collected from 0.00-0.10 m and 10 areas from 0.00-0.15 m. The spatial variability of acidity attributes (pHwater and base saturation) and bases related (Ca and Mg) (study one) and the levels of P and K (study two) were analyzed by descriptive statistics and geostatistics. In study three, was used an area of 41.96 ha, located in Boa Vista das Missões - RS, where was made the collect of soil in seven sizes of sample grids, 50 x 50 m, 75 m x 75, 100 x 100 m, 125 m x 125, 150 x 150 m, 175 m and 200 x 175 x 200 m, at depth of 0.00-0.10 m. The levels of P and K were analyzed by descriptive statistics and geostatistics, and the similarity of thematic maps was compared by the coefficient of relative deviation (CRD) and by Pearson correlation matrix (p <0.05). The areas of Oxisols managed with PA in RS, show moderate acidity and high fertility, with the exception of subareas that presents limiting P levels. Independently of the depth sampled, the grid sample sizes used in RS state, in general, are not efficient in capturing the different scales of variability in soil chemical properties. According as increase the sample grid the thematic maps of P (CRD: 24.0 to 36.2%) and K (CRD: 11.7 to 19.4%) show more dissimilar to those obtained in smaller grid (50 x 50 m) considered as reference. Thus, the reduction of sampling grid sizes increases the accuracy of the information generated through thematic maps, allowing to do prescriptions of lime and fertilizers on site-specific with greater efficiency, and should be recommended in future sampling plans of soil adopted in PA areas in Southern Brazil.

Elaboración de una base de datos aplicando la técnica del método PCI con un sistema georeferenciado para conocer el estado actual de los pavimentos del distrito de Bellavista-Sullana / Elaboration of a database applying the technique of the PCI Method with a georeferenced system to know the current state of the rigid and flexible pavements of the district of Bellavista, Sullana

Nole Dávila, Kelly Margot, Sotomayor Solano, Yordan Luis 06 April 2021 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis is to elaborate a database in the Qgis Software, applying the PCI Method technique with a georeferenced system to know the current state of rigid and flexible pavements in the Bellavista district, Sullana. In the first place, the analysis area is zoned according to the type of pavement that the roads present and the classification of the streets and cross-sections where the PCI Method (Pavement condition Index) is applicable is carried out. Followed by obtaining the quantities of sample units by sections (avenues, streets or cross-sections), to later carry out the inventory of failures in a record sheet and obtain the condition index of the sample units, and later determine the condition of the entire street. With the information collected in the field, and after having carried out the topographic survey of the analyzed sections, which is decisive for preparing the database in the software, the faults are tracked to determine their UTM coordinates using a GPS navigator. . Once the details of the faults and their respective coordinates have been obtained, the cabinet work is carried out where the cadastre map is modeled in the Qgis Software and the coordinates of each evaluated fault are inserted. Therefore, the study focuses on creating a database with the condition indices of the roads that make up the Bellavista district. Finally, through the database, a useful and effective tool can be generated for the Municipality of Bellavista, since it currently does not have enough information to carry out the control and monitoring of the pavements. / Tesis

Traffic accidents of vehicles are one of the biggest causes of deaths in the world's young population, and there is a tendency to increase this number in the next years. The occurrence of accidents is influenced by several factors, such as road conditions, climatic conditions, law enforcement by government agencies, among others. It would be interesting to know in more detail which of these factors has the greatest influence. On the internet, there is an immense amount of data generated by diverse agencies and companies, but much of this information is not analyzed, either because of lack of access, or because the data is not structured in a way that allows its understanding. The availability of data is increasing, either through open data policies implemented by the government, or through collaborative web tools, which make it possible record information by population, and subsequently make their data available. This work proposes a method of grouping georeferenced data from several sources, to perform a statistical analysis using the technique of Principal Components Analysis, which can identify in a georeferenced way which characteristics influence more in the occurrence of traffic acidentes of vehicles. After the analysis, a new methodology for visualizing results, plotted on maps, is explored, which can serve as an aid to government agencies and decision makers who take actions to reduce traffic accidents.

Possibilidades em inteligência artificial na detecção de padrões e previsão de acidentes em rodovias / Possibilities in artificial intelligence in the detection of patterns and prediction of accidents on highways

Chuerubim, Maria Ligia 08 March 2019 (has links)
This thesis presents an investigation of Possibilities in Artificial Intelligence in the detection of patterns and prediction of accidents on highways. For this, it is performed an evaluation of different machine learning techniques based on grouping, classification and prediction of links, based on data from georeferenced accidents and modeled on clustering structures, trees (CART) and networks (artificial neural network, Bayesian network and complex network). The results revealed that the approaches based on complex networks enabled the detection of structures of groupings more robust, when comparing traditional clustering techniques, when they consider in the structure topological data neighborhood concepts. The grouping of data provides the reduction of heterogeneity of the database, as well as obtaining decision rules (CART) with the higher probability of occurrence and general rate of hit. The classification supervised of the severity of accidents in networks, using the modelling of artificial neural networks and Bayesian networks, it allowed to simultaneously identify the factors contributing to the occurrence of accidents, whether these are associated with the driver, the road infrastructure variables or the environmental conditions. However, considering the weight of the variables used in the modeling process, the classification by Bayesian networks tends to be more realistic, being less sensitive too overftting. Regarding the prediction of accidents, it was possible to predict links using the approach of complex bipartite networks, to identify high correlation between predicted accidents and accidents observed for a certain time. The proposed approach is flexible to the number of variables necessary for the modeling process, which allows the realization of a diversified number of studies. However, when you consider the \"simplified modelling\", formed by the variables recommended by the Highway Safety Manual (HSM), of the Association of State Highway na Transportation (AASHTO), it is verified that the prediction is more accurate and precise, since this modelling considers fundamentally variables of road infrastructure, while that the \"general modelling\" are considered the also environmental variables, which are more variants in time and space. Up to the present moment, the proposed method is best suited to explain the behavior and dynamic aspects in the environment road. However, the proposed approach was limited by the amount of data explored, as well as by anomalies resulting from processes of execution of works in the stretch of the highway under analysis. Moreover, it can be applied to problems of different scales and for several case studies. Therefore, through the modeling of geo-referenced bipartite networks, it is possible not only to predict accidents on highways, but also to check he variation of road accidents and the safety and performance levels of a highway.

<p>Floods are common natural disaster occurring in most parts of the world. This results in damage to human life and deterioration of environment. There have been immense uses of technology to mitigate measures of flood disaster i.e. structurally and non-structurally. Undoubtedly, structural measures are very expensive and time consuming which involves physical work like construction of dams, reservoirs, bridges, channel improvement, river diversion and other embankments to keep floods away from people. Whereas non-structural measures is concerned with planning like flood forecasting and warning, flood plain zoning, relief and rehabilitation for reducing the risk of flood damage to keep people away from floods. Thus, non-structural measures involve analysis, planning providing spatial information on maps with high accuracy in less time. Non-structural measures can help decision maker to plan an effective emergency response towards flood disaster. A one of the good way to plan non-structural measures is to analyze impact of flood in the flood prone areas. [en] SCHOOL TIME AND CRIME: INCAPACITATION EFFECTS IN BRAZIL / [pt] TEMPO NA ESCOLA E CRIME: EFEITOS DE INCAPACITAÇÃO NO BRASIL

EDUARDO FAGUNDES DE CARVALHO 29 June 2020 (has links)
[en] Juvenile crime imposes non-trivial costs to societies, which have made its determinants and deterrents increasingly subject of study by economists. School-based interventions are often proposed in order to mitigate the rise in criminal careers and the perpetuation of violence. However, the directions and channels through which schooling may affect crime vary. This paper studies one of them - namely the incapacitation effects - exploiting a federal program that extended school hours in Brazilian public schools. Using quasiexperimental variation in the probability of receiving the program and georeferenced crime data from the state of São Paulo, it is possible to estimate the causal effect of the program on criminal activity in the surroundings of the schools. Results suggest incapacitation does prevent juvelines from engaging in less offensive crimes, with stronger evidence for drug-related crimes and for schools with poorer students.

Rüffer, Olaf 11 December 2018 (has links)
The subject of this dissertation is a real time series investigation of a lowland beech forest in the north-eastern lowlands of Germany. This forest was released from forestry at the end of the 1920s and emerged from an oak forest that had felled at the beginning of the 19th century. At the end of the 1950s and 1960s, three compact experimental areas were set up to record the stocking structure in the predominant old tree hall stage. In 2012, it was possible to identify these old experimental areas and to subject them to a repeat inventory. The beech forest had meanwhile been renewed and developed into three different lowland beech forest ecosystems. A georeferenced working method (EPSG Code 25833) was chosen as a prerequisite for the change analysis of the stocking and deadwood. This enabled the use of the digital terrain model DGM 2m, historical and current aerial photographs and laser data, and derived normalized surface models to visualize the forest development. Based on georeferenced site-vegetation investigations, geostatistical and statistical methods were used to identify the local causes for the natural development of the three different beech (mixed) forest ecosystems. A population genetic inventory of the beeches, winter and summer lime trees as well as a light-ecological study completed the investigation.
