Serviço de informação especializado como elemento de mediação: um estudo a partir da transferência de tecnologias no contexto da agricultura familiar brasileira / -

Desde os tempos mais remotos, a agricultura se faz presente na história da humanidade. Formalmente, no Brasil, esta atividade teve início durante a colonização por Portugal, no final do século XV, e exerce importante papel no desenvolvimento econômico brasileiro até os dias atuais. Em termos econômicos, em particular neste setor, a Agricultura Familiar destaca-se pela produção de alimentos e geração de empregos. Apesar disto, esta modalidade passou a integrar as políticas públicas agrícolas apenas em meados dos anos 1990, com o Programa Nacional de Fortalecimento da Agricultura Familiar (Pronaf). Com a estruturação deste programa, diversas instituições que desenvolvem pesquisas agrícolas foram estimuladas a criar soluções tecnológicas, objetivando melhorias dos processos produtivos na agricultura de base familiar. Percebe-se, entretanto, dificuldades para que as tecnologias geradas nessas instituições cheguem aos agricultores familiares e possam ser plenamente utilizadas. Conjectura-se que uma das possíveis causas está relacionada à comunicação, em especial, à forma e o conteúdo das informações produzidas e disseminadas pelas instituições de pesquisas. Assim, tendo em vista que os serviços de informação são meios auxiliares do processo de comunicação da informação, na medida em que seu objetivo maior é manter um acervo dos documentos, onde estão registrados os conhecimentos gerados no desenvolvimento de atividades de pesquisa associadas à agricultura, para acesso daqueles a quem esse conhecimento possa interessar e/ou ser necessário, este trabalho teve como objetivo sistematizar um conjunto de elementos necessários à criação e manutenção de um serviço de informação, destinado a viabilizar a transferência/comunicação da informação tecnológica, no contexto da Agricultura Familiar. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de natureza exploratória, onde buscou-se explicação dentro do contexto histórico, com vistas a situar a Agricultura Familiar brasileira. A partir desta explicação e utilizando-se referenciais da Ciência da Informação, estudou-se Informação Tecnológica, Mediação da Informação, Transferência de Tecnologias e Serviços de Informação Especializados. Como resultado, foi proposto um modelo conceitual de Serviço de Informação Tecnológica, que integra todos os atores do processo de Transferência de Tecnologias, situando o serviço como um meio estratégico para a Gestão da Pesquisa Agropecuária. Apresenta, ainda como resultados, a síntese dessa proposta conceitual, a qual é composta por um conjunto de oito elementos para a estruturação do Serviço de Informação Tecnológica. / Since ancient times, agriculture is present in human history. Formally, in Brazil, the activity started during colonization by Portugal in the late fifteenth century, playing an important role in the Brazilian economic development to the present day. In economic terms, particularly in this sector, Family Farming stands out for food production and job creation. Nevertheless, this mode was integrated with agricultural policies only in the mid-1990s, with the National Programme for Strengthening Family Agriculture (Pronaf). With the structure of this program, a number of institutions that develop agricultural research have been encouraged to create technological solutions, aiming improvement of production processes in family-based agriculture. It is clear, however, there are difficulties for technologies generated in these institutions to reach the farmers and be fully used. It is conjectured that one possible cause is related to communication, in particular the form and content of the information produced and disseminated by research institutions. Thus, given that the intelligence services are auxiliary means to the information communication process, to the extent that its main objective is to maintain a collection of documents, which registered the knowledge generated in the development of research activities related to agriculture, access to those whom this knowledge may concern and / or be required, this study aimed to systematize a set of elements necessary to create and maintain an information service designed to facilitate the transfer / communication of technological information within the context of Family Farming. This consists of a research exploratory nature, which sought to explain, within the historical context, and to situate the Brazilian Family Agriculture. From this explanation and by using benchmarks of Information Science, we studied Information Technology, Information Mediation, Technology Transfer and Specialized Information Services. As a result, we proposed a conceptual model of Technological Information Services, which includes all stakeholders in the Technology Transfer process, situating the service as a key vehicle for Agricultural Research Management. It also presents as a result the synthesis of this conceptual proposal, which consists of a set of eight elements for structuring the Technological Information Service.

ASCIS subject headings and student terminology : the relationship between the subject headings used in manual school library catalogues in New South Wales and the subject access terms generated by NSW Higher School Certificate syllabus documents, textbooks and examination questions

The present study was undertaken to investigate the concerns of secondary school teacher-librarians, that the subject headings set down by the Australian Schools Catalogue Information Service (ASCIS) do not cover topics in senior sourses of study. NSW HSC Economics was chosen to test this perception. Terms were extracted from three textual sources (syllabus, textbook and examination papers) and checked against the subject headings in the ASCIS Subject Headings List. A comparison was made between terms which matched exactly, those which were only partially matched and those which had no match. The linguistic complexity of the term (single-word or multi-word) and the number of textual sources using the term were also taken into account. The results showed a varying degree of match between textual terms and subject headings. Single-word terms found in more than one textual source were much more likely to be found in the subject headings than those from only one textual source. Multi-word terms were found less frequently than single-word terms, but were also more likely to be found when they came from more than one textual source. There was a large number of partial matches in this group, and these were found to be more general in concept than the textual terms. Most of the terms were found, but the general nature of the partial matches and the lack of adequate cross references may cause problems in subject analysis and retrieval.

近年來以技術為主要生產因素的高科技產業帶動全球經濟的發展,而建設台灣成為綠色矽島是政府揭櫫的產業發展方向,也是台灣未來產業生存的利基所在。資訊服務業屬於高科技產業之一,在網際網路蓬勃發展之下,各個市場區隔潛藏著無限商機。而如何透過策略的制定以取得競爭優勢,技術創新策略的考量是重點之一。 本研究將技術創新策略以策略觀點進行探討,並深入探討技術創新策略與績效之關連性,以及外在產業環境對此關連性之影響。本研究之技術策略構面包含內部研發、產品升級、智慧財產權、突破性創新產品、外部技術來源等技術創新策略;產業環境構面探討外在產業環境之異質性、變動性、競爭性等;績效構面包含投資報酬率、市場佔有率及營業額等。 研究成果發現技術創新策略會對績效產生影響,且採用積極預應型之技術創新策略之績效優於採用消極反應型之技術創新策略。就技術創新策略與環境配合而言,採用積極預應型技術創新策略配合高不確定產業環境之企業,其績效最佳。 / The high-tech industries with technology as the main production factor bring the great economic growth around the world. Information service industry is one of the high-tech industries and there is potential profit in every market segment with the fast developing Internet application. Technology innovation strategy is the key strategy to gain the competitive advantage. In this research, we explore the relationship between the technology innovation strategy and performance and the moderating role of external environment. The technology innovation strategy construct contains R&D spending level, product upgrade, intellectual property right, radical innovations, and external technology sources. The environment construct contains heterogeneity, dynamism, hostility. The performance construct contains return on investment, market share, and sales revenue. The result shows that technology innovation strategy affect the performance. Companies with the pioneer technology innovation posture have better performance than the follower. The pioneer technology innovation posture fit with uncertain environment will have the best performance.

結合行動應用之自由行旅遊支援平台建置 / The Development of a Travel Supported Platform with Mobile Application for Backpacking

摘要   觀光旅遊是現今十分興盛的休閒活動,根據 2010 至 2012 年交通部觀光局統計資料顯示,國人國內旅遊以非旅行社承辦平均高達約 88%,因此如何有效規劃行程內容及安排各景點間的交通路線,就成為旅遊前的重要準備工作。   檢視目前旅遊規劃的數位服務平台並無法真正解決旅遊需求。故本研究設計與建置一套旅遊支援平台,首先藉由訪談,了解使用者需求,歸納出平台設計重點,分析系統的使用流程,再設計功能模組化與操作介面,最後建置平台並進行原型評估。本平台以雲端資料庫為基礎,無縫結合網站與行動應用兩端的資訊流。使用者在行前利用網站規劃行程內容,完成後上傳至雲端資料庫,網站端內容會自動同步於行動應用端,並以適合行動應用的界面呈現。使用者之行程安排因此更便利與彈性,在行動中亦能利隨時以手機查看行程,並依當地情況修改行程、即時安排交通路徑,使得旅遊行程計畫可以依實際的變化機動調適。而更新後的行程亦同步儲存於雲端。   本研究未來方向可以往更多的服務串流發展,如景點的多媒體內容、社群結合、智慧邏輯排程或外部資訊連結等等。隨著未來資訊技術的提升,將為系統平台帶來更多可能性、讓整體服務擁有更佳的整合性,提供使用者更好的體驗。 / Nowadays, touring is a popular leisure activity. According to statistics from the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, people arranged their own domestic travels as high as 88%. Because backpacking can be economical and more flexible, many young people tend to travel by themselves. Therefore travel planning has become the most important preparation work. How to plan an effective schedule and how to arrange the routes between attractive points are the tasks that backpackers often need to face. However there are few information services for the needs currently. The thesis designed and implemented a travelling support platform. First, the research identified design key elements by interviewing users and analyzing travelling behaviors. Second, the research mapped the touring process into functional models. Finally, we built and tested the platform prototype. This platform is Cloud-based and seamlessly integrates both website and mobile application to achieve the information service. Users use the website to schedule their trips and upload the schedules to the cloud database. Then the user can access the same schedule made at website on the mobile APP synchronously. They can check their schedule while they are traveling on the mobile phones. In addition, they can edit the schedule and rearrange new traffic routes real-time to adjust to the local circumstances. The further developments of the platform will include more integrated services, such as multimedia contents, social network, and intelligent logic scheduling. With the evolution of the technology in the future, the platform will provide better user experience.

Information experiences and practices of paediatric physicians in Nigeria : a phenomenological case study

Adequate access to and appropriate use of medical evidence by clinicians have been posited as influencing the quality of clinical decisions and outcomes of patient care. The broad aim of this case study of a tertiary hospital was to provide understanding of how the information experiences and practices of paediatric physicians in Nigeria influenced their information practices and the potential implications for patient care. To achieve the research aim and objectives, a qualitative exploratory study was conducted using multiple sources of data: interviews, diaries, observation and social network chats. Overall, twenty semi-structured interviews were conducted, and seven clinicians provided a week-long information activity self-reports through diaries. Supplementary data were gained via the researcher's personal observation and social media chats with some participants. Paediatricians in the cadre of: Consultants, Senior Registrars, Registrars and Residents provided the data which was analysed using the interpretative method. The results indicate that the paediatricians' information needs were on: managing challenging cases, supporting diagnostic decisions, managing evolving diseases, managing illnesses in the tropical context, drugs and dosage, refreshing the memory, keeping updated, and passing professional examinations. In general: i)there was haphazard approach to information literacy tuition for the clinicians during professional education resulting in varied information capabilities, and inadequacy of knowledge and skills for good information practice; ii) obtaining medical information from colleagues was the predominant feature of paediatricians' information practices; iii) printed textbooks were the paediatricians preferred source for obtaining medical evidence, however, there was a growing popularity in the use of electronic medical information sources, including at the point of care; iv) a perception of inadequacy of the hospital library services resulted in the paediatricians developing rejection behaviour towards the services, labelled in this study as information service rejection behaviour (ISRB); v) there was general perception by the paediatricians that access to, and use of medical information supports patient care and achievement of better treatment outcomes. This perception instilled a sense of value for information use, demonstrated through the clinicians' dedication to the self-provision of information resources; vi) a dearth of medical resources germane to the contextual management of illnesses led to inadequate clinician knowledge in a good number of cases. A new model of information behaviour entitled 'the knowledge production model of the paediatricians' information behaviour has been developed from the findings of this study, thereby extending existing scholarly perspectives on people's information behaviour. The Kpro model enunciates the concept of 'knowledge-based information behaviour' (KIB) which was exhibited by the paediatricians. The study recommends that i) the information literacy skills training (ILST) model developed from the findings, be used as a practical tool for inculcating information literacy to the paediatricians at the level of residency training; ii) the hospital management/librarians prioritise the improvement of information resources, services and infrastructure e.g. reliable internet service, e-library at wards and consulting rooms, and clinical librarian services, to enhance good information practices among the clinicians; iii) retraining of the hospital librarians for increased service delivery effectiveness; iv) increased local research through the establishment of Journal Clubs by the paediatricians to enhance local publishing of medical literature.

The analysis searched to identify the vision of insertion of the programs, as well as the way of its establish and planning, its contents and results. The research was based on a comparative case study in two digital inclusion programs: an urban one, the ???Internet Cidad?????, kept for the public power, under coordination of the Municipal City Hall of Belo Horizonte and a rural one, established for the not governmental organization ???Gemas da Terra???. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa orientada pela Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados, denominada internacionalmente por Grounded Theory como referencial metodológico e como referencial teórico o Interacionismo Simbólico. A saturação teórica se configurou com a análise de 29 entrevistas, assim distribuídas nos grupos amostrais: nove membros da equipe médica (cinco médicos contratados, quatro médicos residentes), 10 membros da equipe de enfermagem (cinco enfermeiros, cinco técnicos e auxiliares de enfermagem) e 10 pais. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevista não-diretiva, gravadas e transcritas na íntegra. Da análise dessas experiências, emergiram três categorias centrais, respectivamente, a saber: almejando aliviar a sobrecarga física e emocional gerada pelo papel de informante dos pais na UTIN; vendo-se entre o fogo cruzado médicos – pais: enfermagem assumindo o papel de pacificador como informante na UTIN; entre a solidariedade e a hostilidade com as equipes: a necessidade de segurança com a assistência do RN como componente interveniente. Da interface desses três modelos teóricos desvelou o quarto, intitulado: entre as dimensões de segurança e de risco na interação médico – enfermagem - pais na UTIN: a compreensão do contexto clínico - assistencial pelos pais como componente interveniente. Segundo o referencial teórico, a definição da situação feita pelo ator é central para como a ação humana ocorrerá. Para tanto, a síntese dos modelos teóricos mostra que os atores reconhecem duas dimensões interacionais... / This study aimed at understanding the interactional experiences occurring between the medical team, nursing team and parents in face of information concerning the clinical conditions of high-risk newborns (RN) as well as at designing a representative theoretical model of the interfaces of such experiences. It is a qualitative study oriented by the Grounded Theory as a methodological framework and by Symbolic Interactionism as its theoretical framework. Theoretical saturation was configured with the analysis of 29 interviews distributed in the sample groups, as follows: nine members of the medical team (five contracted physicians and four resident physicians), 10 members of the nursing team (five nurses and five nursing technicians and nursing auxiliaries) and 10 parents. The data were collected by means of non-directive interviews which were audio-taped and fully transcribed. From the analysis of such experiences, three core categories emerged, namely: aiming at relieving the physical and emotional overload generated by the parent informer role at the neonatal ICU; finding oneself between the physician-parent crossfire: the nursing staff taking the pacifying role as informers at the neonatal ICU; between solidarity and hostility towards the professional teams: the need for safety with RN care as an intervenient component. From the interface of these three theoretical models, the fourth model was unveiled, which was entitled: between the safety and risk dimensions in the physician-nurse-parent interaction in the neonatal ICU - the parents’ comprehension of the clinical-care scenario as an intervenient component. According to the theoretical framework, the definition of a situation given by players is key to how human action will occur. Its main goals were investigate the construction the model of Selective Dissemination Information integrated to SIGAA at UFRN by making an effort for professors to have current, relevant information at his or her service so they can strengthen the construction process of knowledge from the individuals that demand such things. The time frame done in the development literature of this search was between 1978 and 2014, therefore from its conceptual apprehension, it allows better understanding of the dissemination process of information for effective capability of the proposed action. For that, the research assumed a qualitative approach being classified as an explorative type and it was done through the methodological strategy of action research. Interviews were held with the Head of the Library System and the superintendent of information from UFRN, with the intent of collecting information and creating partnerships to the development of service. The faculty coordinators from basic research of Centro de Ensino Superior de Serido (CERES)/UFRN were questioned to identify if these individuals felt difficulties in finding information material about their area of research and if they considered the service relevant to the institution. In regards to the results, the research revealed that the majority of the professors felt some difficulty in finding the articles as well as the essays and/or thesis and they classify the designing of the service as extremely relevant to UFRN. Thus, this action research permitted the engaging construction of three beginning steps of the fundamental service in Souto (2010), which were: the achievement of the proposed diagnosis in the information dissemination in the UFRN scope, the politics definition of service and the achievement of organization planning in the SIGAA service. / Apresenta as peculiaridades da Disseminação Seletiva da informação, serviço que contribui para o compartilhamento de conteúdo informacional personalizado, considerando a importância da informação, vista como elemento chave na sociedade contemporânea e que inspira desafios para sua gestão. Seu objetivo principal foi investigar a construção de um modelo do serviço de Disseminação Seletiva da Informação integrado ao SIGAA na UFRN com vistas a contribuir para que os docentes tenham informações atuais e relevantes ao seu dispor e fortaleçam o processo de construção do conhecimento dos indivíduos que a demandam. O recorte temporal feito na literatura para o desenvolvimento desta pesquisa compreendeu o período de 1978 a 2014, permitindo a partir da sua apreensão conceitual, melhor entendimento do processo de disseminação de informações para uma aplicabilidade eficaz da ação proposta. Para tanto, a pesquisa assumiu uma abordagem qualitativa sendo classificada como do tipo exploratória e realizada por meio da estratégia metodológica da pesquisa-ação. Foram realizadas entrevistas com a Direção do Sistema de Bibliotecas e com a Superintendência de Informática da UFRN, com o intuito de coletar informações e formar parcerias para o desenvolvido do serviço. Foram aplicados questionários com os docentes coordenadores das bases de pesquisa do Centro de Ensino Superior do Seridó (CERES)/UFRN para identificar se estes indivíduos sentiam dificuldades em localizar materiais informacionais sobre suas áreas de pesquisas e se consideravam o serviço relevante para a instituição. Quanto aos seus resultados, as pesquisas revelaram que a maioria dos docentes sente alguma dificuldade para localizar artigos bem como dissertações e/ou teses e classificam a criação do serviço como extremamente relevante para a UFRN. Assim, esta pesquisa-ação permitiu a construção participativa das 3 primeiras etapas do serviço fundamentadas em Souto (2010), que foram: a realização do diagnóstico do processo de disseminação de informações no âmbito da UFRN, a definição da política do serviço e a realização do planejamento da estruturação do serviço no SIGAA.

Seu objetivo principal foi investigar a constru??o de um modelo do servi?o de Dissemina??o Seletiva da Informa??o integrado ao SIGAA na UFRN com vistas a contribuir para que os docentes tenham informa??es atuais e relevantes ao seu dispor e fortale?am o processo de constru??o do conhecimento dos indiv?duos que a demandam. O recorte temporal feito na literatura para o desenvolvimento desta pesquisa compreendeu o per?odo de 1978 a 2014, permitindo a partir da sua apreens?o conceitual, melhor entendimento do processo de dissemina??o de informa??es para uma aplicabilidade eficaz da a??o proposta. Para tanto, a pesquisa assumiu uma abordagem qualitativa sendo classificada como do tipo explorat?ria e realizada por meio da estrat?gia metodol?gica da pesquisa-a??o. Foram realizadas entrevistas com a Dire??o do Sistema de Bibliotecas e com a Superintend?ncia de Inform?tica da UFRN, com o intuito de coletar informa??es e formar parcerias para o desenvolvimento do servi?o. Foram aplicados question?rios com os docentes coordenadores das bases de pesquisa do Centro de Ensino Superior do Serid? (CERES)/UFRN para identificar se estes indiv?duos sentiam dificuldades em localizar materiais informacionais sobre suas ?reas de pesquisas e se consideravam o servi?o relevante para a institui??o. Quanto aos seus resultados, as pesquisas revelaram que a maioria dos docentes sente alguma dificuldade para localizar artigos bem como disserta??es e/ou teses e classificam a cria??o do servi?o como extremamente relevante para a UFRN. Assim, esta pesquisa-a??o permitiu a constru??o participativa das 3 primeiras etapas do servi?o fundamentadas em Souto (2010), que foram: a realiza??o do diagn?stico do processo de dissemina??o de informa??es no ?mbito da UFRN, a defini??o da pol?tica do servi?o e a realiza??o do planejamento da estrutura??o do servi?o no SIGAA. / It presents the peculiarities of selective dissemination of information , such service contributes to sharing personalized informational content, considering the importance of information, seen as a key element in modern society that inspires and challenges its management. Its main goals were investigate the construction the model of Selective Dissemination Information integrated to SIGAA at UFRN by making an effort for professors to have current, relevant information at his or her service so they can strengthen the construction process of knowledge from the individuals that demand such things. The time frame done in the development literature of this search was between 1978 and 2014, therefore from its conceptual apprehension, it allows better understanding of the dissemination process of information for effective capability of the proposed action. For that, the research assumed a qualitative approach being classified as an explorative type and itwas done through the methodological strategy of action research. Interviews were held with the Head of the Library System and the superintendent of information from UFRN,with the intent of collecting information and creating partnerships to the development of service. The faculty coordinators from basic research of Centro de Ensino Superior de Serido (CERES)/UFRN were questioned to identify if these individuals felt difficulties in finding information material about their area of research and if they considered the service relevant to the institution. In regards to the results, the research revealed that the majority of the professors felt some difficulty in finding the articles as well as the essays and/or thesis and they classify the designing of the service as extremely relevant to UFRN. Thus, this action research permitted the engaging construction of three beginning steps of the fundamental service in Souto (2010), which were: the achievement of the proposed diagnosis in the information dissemination in the UFRN scope, the politics definition of service and the achievement of organization planning in the SIGAA service
