Integração curricular no ensino médio : histórias narradas por professores a partir do Projeto PIBID Ciências da Natureza / Integration in secondary education : stories narrated for teachers from Nature Sciences Project PIBID

Moretti, Regina Celia Batista, 1965- 25 August 2018 (has links)
Orientador: Maria Inês Freitas Petrucci dos Santos Rosa / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de Educação / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-25T20:42:43Z (GMT). This research points to opportunities for curricular integration of high school in an interdisciplinary perspective from experiences narrated by teachers of disciplines, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in the context of a project, the Scholarship Program Initiation to Teaching (PIBID), Natural Sciences: Curriculum Integration in High School. The question formulated for this research was: As an experiment of a project of interdisciplinary curriculum integration, in high school, mobilizes teacher identities linked to disciplinary communities? It constituted a framework around which the work is set. We sought to also examine how teachers are challenged on interdisciplinarity in some texts of official documents and academic, understanding that such texts although significantly marked by welcoming intentions macro contexts, permeate and are permeated by voices from the micro context of everyday school life. The walk to produce this work, between stories and texts, was performed, metaphorically, with the look of a flâneur, a loner who walks the city in crowds without worrying about the intentions of the modern urban setting consumes the way your way, in his time, living experiences. The narratives of the teachers were used as a principle, in a perspective that prioritizes memory, inspired by Walter Benjamin. These stories are densified in monads, understood as a form of communication that rescues at present, the role of narratives of the past, to communicate experiences. In these markings are present conflict in the identities of teachers and challenges, indicating the disciplines as their places of belonging and interdisciplinarity as an object of shock. These specialized teachers and working in a space-time distributed scheduling in grids, according to each discipline, who had concomitantly mobilize in order to invent another space-time that would enable an integrated curriculum for production design interdisciplinary. In other words, teachers as members belonging to the disciplinary communities, to collide with interdisciplinary, experienced a moment of stoppage of what was happening routinely and had the opportunity to change their perceptions about this moment and on the following events / Mestrado / Ensino e Práticas Culturais / Mestra em Educação

Dickens excentrique : persistances du Dickensien / Eccentric Dickens : Afterlives of the Dickensian

Folléa, Clémence 28 November 2016 (has links)
This thesis looks at the text and afterlives of Great Expectations (1860-61), Oliver Twist (1837-39) and The Mystery of Edwin Drood (1870), by Charles Dickens. Ever since the Victorian era, these three novels have penetrated our collective imagination and have fed into various kinds of discourses, which are always determined by their conditions of production and reception. Thus, this thesis both performs microanalyses of its primary sources and explores the context in which each work was published. Its corpus includes filmic adaptations as well as more indirect reincarnations, such as rewritings, TV series and videogames featuring elements identifiable as ‘Dickensian’. The latter adjective points to a variety of fictional objects and cultural processes, which are gradually circumscribed throughout this thesis. In particular, the Dickensian and its afterlives are defined in connection with the ‘eccentric’, a term often used to conjure up the colourful and sometimes queer quality of Dickens’s texts. Here, however, a broader definition of this notion is adopted: the eccentric, which always stands halfway between a centre and its margins, is used to examine the many ambiguities of the Dickensian. For, as they move into new aesthetic and socio-cultural contexts, the fictions created by Dickens feed into discourses which can be normative and/or subversive, stereotyped and/or disturbing. My cartography of Dickensian afterlives gradually appears as chaotic, which eventually leads me to reconsider some of my methodological assumptions: Dickens’s fictions move in irregular and unpredictable ways, which often upset bibliographical, periodical and disciplinary boundaries

The Transdisciplinary Dilemma: Making SEAD in the Contemporary Research University

Zacharias, Kari 27 November 2018 (has links)
Over the past two decades, many American universities have created transdisciplinary institutes devoted to science, engineering, art, and design (SEAD). These organizations promote research, teaching, and engagement across technoscientific and artistic disciplines, and seek to cultivate creativity and innovation. Their proponents argue that this particular type of transdisciplinary knowledge-making has the potential to transform research universities. However, making and maintaining SEAD institutions is difficult work for the researchers and administrators involved. Practitioners struggle to define the broader goals of their transdisciplinary research; to demonstrate its value; to receive appropriate credit from their peers; and to feel that they belong in their institutions. I argue that these issues result from a fundamental “transdisciplinary dilemma”: the challenge of institutionalizing an ideal of transdisciplinarity that is actually a complex and contradictory set of different actors and motivations. In my dissertation I examine SEAD and transdisciplinarity through an ethnographic study of Virginia Tech’s Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology, a research institute that aspires to work “at the nexus of science, engineering, art, and design.” I identify three significant “matters of concern” for SEAD practitioners, each of which is a tension that reveals an aspect of the transdisciplinary dilemma and the challenges of institutionalizing art and technology research. Sponsored collaboration contrasts the idea of transdisciplinarity as an idealized stage of creative knowledge production with the notion of transdisciplinarity as an economic driver for higher education. Value and belonging highlights researchers’ simultaneous desire to exist outside of traditional disciplines and to enjoy the comforts of a disciplinary home. Measurable impact describes the balancing act between institutions’ need for resources and status, and the nature of researchers’ everyday work. Ultimately, I argue, these tensions are irresolvable aspects of SEAD as it exists within the contemporary research university. The persistence of the transdisciplinary dilemma leaves practitioners in a perpetual state of striving to belong, and SEAD institutions continually seeking to (re-)define themselves. / Ph. Topics on the (Re)organization of Knowledge

Medalho Pereira, Isabel Maria 27 September 2007 (has links)
The research of my PhD dissertation focuses on the study of organizational problems, in the context of collaborative relations. In particular, the dissertation is composed by three chapters, in which I analyze incentives problems in interdisciplinary research and in collaboration agreements between firms and universities. The first chapter of the thesis, "Incentives for Interdisciplinary Research", is (up to the moment and to my knowledge), the first article that formally characterizes interdisciplinary research: through the presence of complementarities in the production and through an innate cost disadvantage, when developing a new scientific area. My work shows that when the goals for the research are sufficiently demanding, interdisciplinarity is preferred to specialization. In the second chapter of the thesis, "Business-Science Research Collaboration under Moral-Hazard", I analyze on how the characteristics of a research agreement can be the optimal outcome of a contract between the parties. Furthermore, the type of project can also be an importance incentive tool when some of the resources that are important for the success are non-verifiable and non-contractibe. The analysis is developed in two dimensions: the structure of partnership governance (decentralized and centralized), and the informational constraints that such structures may face. Even if a decentralized structure chooses a type of project that is closer to the interests of the governing party, both structures may optimally use the project as a mechanism to reduce the impact of moral-hazard. In the third chapter of the thesis, "Patents and Business-Science Research Partnership" (jointly written with Walter Garcia-Fontes), I present an empirical study that relates the characteristics of the patents with the research process that lead to the inventions. Using data from the European Inventors Survey, PatVal-EU, the results of this chapter are aligned with the theoretical predictions of the previous chapter of the thesis: the institutional identity of the research organizations are associated with different basicness levels of the patens.

Off the orbit : works of art for long-term space travellers : outline of a novel artistic practice

Johannsen, Kirsten January 2012 (has links)
This research combines the arts with human spaceflight. The aim of the investigation is to identify the aesthetic parameters for display in works of art on extended crewed missions. The study claims that, within the research area of human spaceflight, novel working methods should be developed that can integrate the artist into the scientific process. The extraordinary challenges of extended space exploration not only concern technical and human-bodily aspects, they will also affect the enormous psychological and psychosocial restrictions the spacefarer will face. These limitations are due to the unusual distance and the long timeframes; the future explorers will live confined and isolated within the habitat environment far away from their place of origin. In addition, the consequences of sensory deprivation caused by the high-tech indoor habitat, the emptiness of outer space, the effects of social monotony and limited contact with home will dominate their life in the extreme environment and the emotional state of the future explorer. Many cultural techniques for recreation and stress mitigation are already in use or will be tested in human spaceflight in the near future. However, in this context the implementation of works of art has not been evaluated. The production of works of art for future astronauts represents a new research area. From the artistic perspective, creativity will expand in an unusual manner. Artists will not only have to develop significant metaphors, they will also be confronted with an unknown responsibility, because the confined and isolated astronaut will become the exclusive audience and user of their works. Furthermore, works of art must follow the particular demands of verifiability, safety, and reliability. These specific conditions will give the artistic work a unique meaning which makes the work a part of the life-sustaining system. The outcome will be an experiment that combines both artistic and scientific strategies.

Uma abordagem didático-pedagógica da racionalidade matemática na criação musical / A didactic-pedagogical approach of the mathematical reasoning at the musical creation.

Souza, Luciana Gastaldi Sardinha 29 November 2012 (has links)
This thesis deals, in didactic-pedagogical terms, with the study of the presence of mathematical reasoning at the musical creation. The mathematical language is a powerful tool that can be used to understand structures underlying the compositions. In order to defend this characteristic, concepts and mathematical structures capable of analyzing some musical compositions, as the theory of sets of Forte are presented in this work, allowing, for example, treating translations and inversions through the concept of mathematical function. This same theory enabled the detailed analysis of particular twentieth centurys compositions, such as works by Almeida Prado and Rodolfo Coelho de Souza. The presence of the Golden Ratio is investigated in the works of Mozart, Villa Lobos, Bartók and Debussy. Examples of self-similarity in music are presented through the analysis of compositions by Bach and by Rodolfo Coelho de Souza. Specific types of symmetry are studied and some applications in correlation with music are realized. The fact that transpositions (T) and inversions (TnI) functions form a group with the compositions operation is verified. The functions P, L and R, whose domain and image elements are major and minor chords, are defined, and a detailed description is given on how these functions generate the PLR group through the composition operation. Cries by Pixinguinha and Beatles songs such as Octopuss Garden are analyzed and the fact that these compositions have the PLR group in their chaining can be verified. According to the demonstration, the groups T/TnI and PLR are isomorphic to the dihedral group D12, offering to the undergraduate mathematics students an example of the rich potential of the mathematics/music interface, in this case, through an application of the Groups Theory in music. The strong interdisciplinary character of this work is based, in didactic-pedagogical terms, on Olga Pombo\'s and Ivani Fazenda\'s texts. An attempt to reintegrate music to the standard education can be verified through the approval of the Law project 2732/2008, which stipulates the mandatory teaching of music in Basic Education. This way, an important result of this work is the proposal of a subject, to be offered at an undergraduate level to both students of music and mathematics, which contributes to the their professional training, offering them tools to integrate these two subjects when acting in high school. This subject aims to generate a wide range ofexperience exchange between students, who can expand their knowledge through the combination of these two subject matters.

Reflexões sobre relações disciplinares a partir do estudo de caso de um serviço universitário de promoção da saúde e prevenção de doenças na prática clínica / Reflections about disciplinary relationships based upon the case study of a university service for education and research in health promotion and disease prevention in clinical practice

Guedes, Lígia Emerita 14 October 2009 (has links)
Introduction. Interdisciplinary teams are considered an important premise for the rearrangement of the work process in practices of health promotion and disease prevention, aiming at an integral and resolutive approach. Objective. Discuss the disciplinary relationships among health professionals, including barriers and facilitators to the practice of interdisciplinarity, in the context of a university center for education and research in health promotion and disease prevention in clinical practice. Method. Qualitative research, conducted at the Centro de Promoção da Saúde do Serviço de Clínica Geral do Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo -CPS-HCFMUSP, using participant observation and semi-structured interviews with health professionals, started up after approval by the HCFMUSP - Research Ethics Committee and the informed consent of interviewees. The data was subjected to qualitative content analysis, on the basis of thematic modality. Results. It was observed practices performed by professionals with little interaction, no common language and method and lack of integration, but with similar goals, unified knowledge and different levels of horizontal hierarchy. Overall, this may represent a moment of transition from multidisciplinary to interdisciplinary work. Conclusion. Interdisciplinarity is not a fact, but a process still in evolution. Socio-cultural, institutional and individual factors can act both as facilitators or as barriers to its implementation.

Inserção da psicologia em equipe multiprofissional numa clínica odontológica: relato de experiência / Insertion of psychology in a dental clinic: experience report

Furusawa, Ligia Mitsuko 06 October 2010 (has links)
Estão descritas a atuação e as especificidades do atendimento, a análise do papel do psicólogo e a importância da sua inserção na equipe multiprofissional / This is a report on an experience with the insertion of Psychology in the Occlusion and TMA Service of the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Sao Paulo, a dental clinic specialized in temporomandibular disorder treatment. Arriving at the clinic, the author verifies some situations that might help patients if dentists exchanged more information in a dialogue showing more interest in the patients report and observation. Also verified is the relation between the condition treated and the patients complaints commented in chats at the dental clinic waiting room; these complaints are very frequent in the psychology clinic, especially in the psychosomatic area. It is noticed that psychiatric/psychological conditions found have to be treated for a patients improvement and discharge. As from the moment the author is invited to participate in the health team of that dental clinic, a reduction in the permanence time of patients who receive psychological counseling is observed, differing from patients who only receive attention from dentists. The health team at the time counted on a physiotherapist, speech therapist, dentists and a psychologist (the author). Later, hypnotherapists and chiropractors were also invited, besides a team that made laser applications specifically for algic conditions. In our observation, patients generally presented signs and symptoms characteristic of depression and its co-morbidities, such as fibromyalgia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder. Characteristics were also common among patients: excess responsibilities, exaggerated availability to family and colleagues at work, difficulty in delegating tasks, difficulty in accepting aid and guilt towards any pleasurable activity or one of non-medical personal care. A discussion is made on the adhesion to the treatment provided by the psychologist, who conducted psychological and pedagogical interventions, once the patient failed to notice the relations between the recommendations by the health professionals and the temporomandibular disorder problem. As from the moment the psychologist intervened and the patient understood this relation, there was adhesion to the multidisciplinary treatment and a consequent improvement in the condition, with discharge from the clinic. The actuation and counseling specificities, the analysis of the psychologists role and the importance of her insertion in the multiprofessional team are described

Desenhos da paisagem: percepção, memória e imaginação / Landscape drawings: perception, memory and imagination

Nicolau, Evandro Carlos 31 August 2018 (has links)
This is a research, with an interdisciplinary approach that, from the concept of design and landscape, has references in areas such as geography, history, philosophy (aesthetics) environmental sciences, architecture and urbanism, education and, mainly, art. The intention of the work lies in the movement of relating what we call nature, landscape, articulated with what we call art, drawing. Its purpose is to establish, and make real, the perception that art is an area that produces knowledge and that is constituted through the relations between sciences and the disciplines that make up much of human development. This is how the doctoral dissertation Desenhos da Paisagem, from phenomenology, as a methodology and philosophical current, presents an investigation that reflects on the problems of art as a form of knowledge and of nature, in its management and conservation, as a great question of humanity in the present moment. The city of São Paulo, as the largest Latin American metropolis, was established as a case study, starting from the perception of its growth and accelerated urban development throughout the 20th century, which has undergone a huge transformation in its natural and cultural landscape. Wethen try to understand the transformed space as a result of the production of a cultural design, which possesses language, and which is inserted in the landscape, geography and dimension of human presence in a given territory. From this configuration, we present some contemporary visual forms that are composed in images of great complexity. Thus, we can verify that the urban problems faced by the city were shaped and shaped an urban landscape composed of people and populations that are not uniform. With each new urban plan, the city is being redesigned and, therefore, imagines and overlaps the old, a new city, like other ways of thinking and organizing space. These forms end up, therefore, generating many ways of understanding the importance, the meaning and the meaning of the drawing. At the present moment, where the proliferation of technological and digital images, made by satellites, are accessible, we can enlarge and increase the ways of observing, seeing and thinking the drawing and the landscape. As aresult, finally, educational experiences are presented in courses and educational actions developed and applied in the Museum of Contemporary Art and other places and institutions.

Autonomia do fazer. Criticism about the obligatory university education to access work in architecture in Brazil

Santos, Conrado Vivacqua Raymundo dos 25 October 2018 (has links)
The ambivalent reception of José Zanine Caldas, an architect without university degree and referred to as a self-taught, by the professional Brazilian architecture environment between the peak of his architectural production, in the 1970s, and his death, in the early of 2000s, paves the way for investigating in this research the relationship between work and architecture education in Brazil, allowing for questioning the obligatory necessity of the university degree as a unique resource for accessing work in architecture in the country. With a life and work trajectory marked by the ecological defense and the approach with people and cultures threatened by the process massification of the great industry, in which emphasizes the culture of making anchored in manual work, Zanine guides theoretical reflection on models of nowledgeproduction organized by autonomy expressed through the knowledge acquired by the experience of practical making, bringing approximations with themes approached by authors of ecological politics such as Ivan Illich and André Gorz with regards to theories about emancipated education and architecture.
