Bendrojo lavinimo mokyklos intranetinės mokymo(si) sistemos kūrimas ir tyrimas / Implementation and investigation of intranet-band teaching system in general education school

School is the most important organization in the process of creating educational community, because there is a place where citizens of this community are raised. Schools computerization gets most attention. Analyzing existing intranet based learning systems and creating system, witch is designed for general education schools to improve their students ant teachers work, are object of postgraduate studies work. This system allow schools to corporate, share information, studying plans and information. Created system can be used in all general education schools. This system can be reused in schools which has special purpose. System is designed for virtual learning and communications between students and teachers, for sharing and using educational information, for analyzing marking and learning results, creating summaries. Teachers can: • create studying plans; • deliver theoretical educational information; • create tests; • mark students work at lessons and tests. Students can: • use educational information, which teacher offer them; • communicate with other students and teachers; • take tests; • check for their marks. System can be useful for parents of students. Trey can check their child marks from their home.

Den omfattande globaliseringen som sker i världen har givit upphov till stora förändringar för världens organisationer. Den ständigt växande konkurrensen som kommer därav ökar kraven på en fungerande internkommunikation samt betydelsen av att de interna kommunikationskanalerna utnyttjas så effektivt som möjligt. Samtidigt krävs långtgående hänsynstaganden gällande alla organisationens medlemmar då utveckling av internkommunikationens struktur och strategi genomförs.   I detta examensarbete används teorierna “Uses and gratifications”, “Dependency theory” och ”Social information processing theory”. Teorierna används med målsättning att beskriva de mest framträdande dragen i den interna kommunikationsutövningen i en organisation och vidare för att undersöka hur denna utövning överensstämmer med de förväntningar och användningsmönster som kan utrönas bland de anställda. Med utgångspunkt i tidigare forskning inom ämnet framkommer vikten av att utföra studien från ett användarperspektiv i en organisation som bedriver industriell produktion såväl som kontorsarbete. Skillnader mellan dessa olika grupper i fråga om upplevelser och förväntningar inkluderades också i undersökningen.           Studien genomfördes på ett teknologiföretag i södra Sverige i ett skede där lansering av en ny intranät-portal väntade. Det empiriska materialet erhölls genom utförande av sju fokusgruppsintervjuer. Totalt deltog 28 personer i dessa fokusgrupper. Resultatet visade på många tillgängliga interna kommunikationskanaler samtidigt som det synliggjorde en upplevd avsaknad av en tydlig strategi och en utsedd koordinator som ansvarar för den interna kommunikationen.  Från ett medarbetarperspektiv karaktäriseras den generella internkommunikationen av inkonsekvens, otillförlitlighet och godtycklighet. Olika typer av strategier för att tillfredsställa specifika behov kunde identifieras såväl som långtgående beroenden av vissa informationskanaler för att få information. Kollaborationsplattformar som en integrerad del av intranätet mötte motsägelsefulla åsikter och visar på att de anställda både önskar och fruktar det fria ordet i organisationskommunikativa sammanhang. De interna kommunikationskanalsera måste struktureras och samköras för att ge alla organisationsmedlemmar möjlighet att tillfredställa sina informations- och kommunikationsbehov.

Aim of study: The purpose of this study is to investigate the current knowledge management status within the Academic Information Service at the University of Pretoria. Research method: A literature study was conducted to establish the nature and value of knowledge management for organizations. A questionnaire was used to obtain reliable information with regard to the current value and nature of knowledge management within the Academic Information Service at the University of Pretoria. Core findings: Within an academic library like the Academic Information Service at Pretoria, there exist a certain misconception that libraries are already doing knowledge management for years. The management of knowledge for clients, and providing knowledge and information to the client are seen as knowledge management. It was indicated that within the Academic Information Service there is not much attention given to the management of tacit knowledge within the organization. This shows that libraries aren’t doing knowledge management for years. They are doing explicit management of knowledge but not tacit management of organizational knowledge. Within this study it is stressed why this tacit knowledge is so important for an organization to exist and compete within these turbulent times we live in. The academic information service is not managing their tacit knowledge to the fullest potential and for benefit of the organization. There is no culture or incentives conducive to knowledge sharing within the library. The existing technology namely the intranet and portal aren’t re ally enablers for knowledge management. There exist a lot of barriers to knowledge management within the AIS that should be attended to. A knowledge management strategy is suggested with a lot of shifts in connection to the culture of the organization, incentives and information technology. / Thesis (MIT)--University of Pretoria, 2002.

Esta representa um insumo básico de alto valor e demanda forte inserção no processo de gestão, que envolve desde a identificação de requisitos até o seu uso. A intranet situa-se nesse estudo como um instrumento estratégico para a gestão de informações em uma organização pública, por natureza, mais resistente às demandas de um cenário que exige mudanças na forma de lidar com as estruturas e gerir recursos. Nessa perspectiva, esse trabalho apresenta como objetivo especificar condições para a reformulação da intranet de uma instituição pública do segmento de ciência e tecnologia, o Instituto Aggeu Magalhães (IAM), unidade da Fiocruz em Pernambuco. Como subsídio para a pesquisa, foram empregadas as abordagens qualitativa e quantitativa, triangulação de métodos que possibilitou acesso mais amplo às informações e por consequência uma análise de resultados mais completa, a partir da junção de variáveis distintas. Além da avaliação do próprio instrumento da intranet do IAM, vigente no início da pesquisa, as dimensões comportamentais, culturais e de recursos tecnológicos também foram estudadas, e refletiram na construção de uma proposta de intervenção multidimensional, abrangendo desde a dimensão social, aspecto este presente em todo o estudo como um fator de grande relevância, até os recursos tecnológicos. Em conjunto com a proposta de reformulação de uma nova intranet para o IAM, foram levantadas diretrizes para sua institucionalização, devido ao ambiente organizacional de baixa adesão à mudança identificado nas pesquisas de campo realizadas nesse estudo. / The transformations that mark the acceleration of change in the world today propel organizations to better structure their environments to make them more information centric. Information represents a high value commodity and requires to be placed at the center of the management process, which involves the entire cycle of information, from the identification of requirements to its use. In this study, the intranet is viewed as a strategic tool for the management of information in a public organization, which by nature, is more resistant to change both in the way it deals with structure and how it manages resources. In this perspective, this paper aims to specify the conditions for the redesign of the intranet of a public institution operating in the science and technology industry, Instituto Aggeu Magalhães (IAM), a business unit of Fiocruz in Pernambuco. In this research, both qualitative and quantitative approaches were used and the triangulation of these methods allowed broader access to information and, consequently, a more complete analysis of the results, which used a combination of different variables. In addition to evaluating IAM’s intranet platform, which was in use at the beginning of the research, the behavioral, cultural and technological resources dimensions were also studied and were taken into account in the construction of a multidimensional intervention proposal, covering not only the social dimension, this aspect being a factor of great relevance throughout the study, but all aspects, down to the technological resources. In addition to proposing the reformulation of a new intranet for AMI, this project also recommends guidelines for the implementation of the intranet, due to AMI’s poor ability to implement change, as identified in the field research of this study.
