Simultaneamente respaldado pelas principais instituições legitimadoras da arte, disputado por colecionadores e reconhecido e admirado por um público muito mais amplo que o limitado circuito de habitués de exposições, Koons se situa num ponto privilegiado a partir do qual é possível estudar os múltiplos atravessamentos entre a arte e a mercadoria em um sistema de produção e circulação capitalista. Através de uma investigação dos elementos de uma estética popular e pequeno-burguesa comumente identificada pelo termo kitsch, o artista vem pondo em revista, ao longo de três décadas e meia de carreira, alguns pressupostos que ancoram os valores do campo das artes visuais, pondo em dúvida as demarcações que garantem ao campo das artes uma pretensa autonomia em relação ao universo degradado da mercadoria. Analisando as características formais e temáticas e os esquemas de produção da sua obra, buscamos compreender a experiência estética dentro de um sistema no qual bens simbólicos são mercadorias como tantas outras. / This dissertation analyzes the work of American artist Jeff Koons (1955-) in search of a better understanding of the place occupied by the field of visual arts in contemporary culture. Simultaneously legitimized by the most important legitimizing art institutions, fought over by collectors and recognized and admired by an audience far wider than the limited circuit of regular exhibition goers, Koons is situated in a privileged vantage point from which to study the multiple crossings between art and the commodity in a capitalist system of production and circulation. Through an investigation into the elements that make up a popular and petit bourgeois aesthetic commonly identified by the term “kitsch”, the artist has been putting under review, for over three decades, some of the biases that anchor the values of the field of visual arts, questioning the demarcations that guarantee the art field an alleged autonomy in relation to the degraded universe of the commodity. By analyzing the formal and thematic characteristics and the modes of production of his work, we seek to understand aesthetic experience in a system in which symbolic goods are commodities like so many others.

Art-Glam Post-Orf es un título que se aplica a las obras que en esta tesis forman parte como trabajo práctico. Art viene de arte, Glam tiene que ver con un subconjunto del kitsch, es un kitsch mejorado, un kitsch de buen gusto. Post alude a las características postmodernas de las obras y Orf se refiere a orfebrería, mi mención, a partir de la cual se desarrollan las obras. Art-Glam Post-Orf es un título similar al de una revista, la idea es ironizar de un modo postmoderno con las revistas de arte y asimilar una revista de arte con una revista más pop. Las obras se caracterizan por ser técnicas mixtas que nacen a partir de la orfebrería y se van alejando de ella paulatinamente.

The thesis focuses on issues of aesthetic values in art education at the first grade of primary school. The theoretical parts sketch issues of art and kitsch, origins of kitsch and characteristic features of kitsch and the question of kitsch aesthetic defektivity. In the second part I focus on the problem of determining the aesthetic criteria in art education, the issue of transfer of aesthetic values and artistic-expressive qualities of children's products all of it taking into account the ontogenetic development of children's creative expression. The empirical part focuses on exploring the aesthetic value of art activities related to the teaching process in the context of ontogenetic development of the child to the first grade of primary school.

The writer's reason for making this study is a felt lack of taste and a general misunderstanding and misuse of the visual arts in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She is convinced that art, generally considered as a matter of personal taste, is actually a matter of professional judgement. A characteristic of our time is the "do-it-yourself" trend and to make up ones own mind about everything without any consultation of authorities and also a loss of feeling for integrity in productions of the human mind and hand which broke down the fences against kitsch and opened up the way, not only into man's environment, but also into his thinking. May the reader find in this study a help towards a better understanding and a greater awareness of the problem of kitsch.

Arte, objetos e vida cotidiana: do nascimento ao ocaso das vanguardas / Art, objects and everyday life: as from the appearing to the twilight of the avant-gardes

Nesta dissertação, procuramos, a partir da Grande Exposição Universal de Londres em 1851, o início de um debate mais intenso de aproximação da arte com a indústria para, assim, perceber como elementos estéticos começam a permear a vida cotidiana. Essas questões ganham fôlego com as vanguardas, principalmente, com a Bauhaus de Walter Gropius e com o ready-made de Marcel Duchamp. Problematizar como cada um desses artistas buscou o novo, para aproximar Arte e Vida, usando estratégias diferentes, mas recorrendo ao mesmo suporte: o objeto. Ao longo do século XX, perceberemos como, no pós-segunda guerra, há uma mudança no contexto histórico e como as artes plásticas e aplicadas respondem ao debate: arte e indústria, ready-made e Bauhaus. Veremos que as respostas serão com a pop art e as vanguardas italianas do design. Nas décadas de 1960 e 1970, analisamos a sobrecarga da narrativa moderna, tendo a implosão do conjunto residencial Pruitt-Igoe como marco desse processo. O resultado é o ocaso das vanguardas e a centralidade da cultura Kitsch, que inverte a questão levantada por elas de aproximar arte e vida; agora, é a vida cotidiana naquilo que tem de mais banal que se aproxima da arte. As consequências dessa mudança são as repetições de imagens do passado e a descontinuidade na história da arte. Assim, demonstraremos como a arte e os objetos de uso colaboraram com a construção do modo de vida nessa nova tradição. / In this research, we have studied, as from the Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations in 1851, in London, the start-up of a more intense debate on the approximation of Art with Industry for, thus, realizing how aesthetic elements begin to make part of everyday life. Such issues are increased with the Avant-Gardes mainly with Walter Gropiuss Bauhaus and the Marcel Duchamps Ready-mades. We have also studied how each of these artists had searched the \"new\" to approach Art and Life using different strategies but the same support: the object. During the 20th century, after the second World War, we may realize that there is a change in the historical context and how Visual Arts and Applied Arts answer to the debate: Art and Industry, Ready-made and Bauhaus. We may see that the answers will be with Pop Art and the Italian Design Vanguards. In the decades of 1960 and 1970, we have analised the overload on the modern narrative, having the implosion of the Pruitt-Igoe residential condo as this process\' milestone. The result is the Avant- Gardes twilight and the Kitsch culture centrality, which inverts the issue they bring up in order to approach Art and Life; now, on the other hand, it\'s everyday life that is close to Art in what it has of most banal. This change consequences are the repetitions of past images and the discontinuity in Art History. Thus, we may demonstrate how Art and objects of use have contributed with the way life construction in this new tradition.
