Analýza trhu práce na Kutnohorsku / Analysis of Labour Market in District Kutna Hora

Diploma thesis is focused on labour market flexibility in the Czech Republic and rate of unemployment in the district Kutna Hora. Study is divided into three parts. First main chapter is analyzing the rate of unemployment and its evolution in Kutna Hora. Main employers of the area are mentioned. Second part is referring to the problem of unemployment generally (problem of education, gender, length of unemployment). Third last part is related to the Taiwanese Foxconn Company which was founded in 2008 and has its head office in Kutna Hora and represents the strongest employer in the area. The main purpose of this thesis is to show the impact of Foxconn Company on Czech labour market and the situation of the rate of unemployment in district Kutna Hora between 2005 and 2010. Conclusion part includes a few recommendations.

The diploma theses will be about the problematics of "beggary" and his relationship to various forms of criminality, homelessness and drug addiction. Baggary can be concieved as a certain work substitute, which is apriori executed because of gain. My goal is to make analyses of posssible overlap between beggars and persons receiving social security benefits. Findings of services for reintegration of baggers to the labour market will be included. I will use a method to available statistic data comparision with own empirical observation. The observation was made during my short term attachment at Občanské sdružení Naděje Praha with the help of their employees. Aim of this work is analyses of contemporary labour policy arrangement. Theoretical basis of the thesis will be comparison of main stream economics with austrian school (Hezlit, Rothbard, Mises).

The graduation thesis Labour Market and Free Movement of Labour (European Union and Great Britain case study) describes the recent situation in the European and British labour markets. It concentrates on impact of financial crisis on labour markets. Then, it monitors the trends of free movement of labour in the European Union and assesses the impact of opening of labour markets on individual economies. Finally, the British migration system is analysed. The changes in migration to Great Britain after 2004 are outlined and new points based system is introduced. The impact of migrant workers on british economy is evaluated.

O objetivo deste estudo foi o de analisar a inserção no mercado de trabalho dos egressos do Programa de Aprimoramento Profissional PAP, gerenciado pela Fundação do Desenvolvimento Administrativo - Fundap, das áreas de enfermagem, fisioterapia e psicologia, provenientes dos anos de 1997 e 2002. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de caráter descritivo, cujo caminho metodológico se delineou por meio da caracterização do perfil sócio-demográfico dos egressos, sua situação acadêmica e profissional além de conhecer a influência do PAP em sua atividade profissional. De um universo de 541 egressos obteve-se o retorno de 153 respondentes (28,28%), sendo: 24 enfermeiros, 51 fisioterapeutas e 78 psicólogos. Constatou-se que na maioria eram mulheres, solteiras, com idade de 31 a 40 anos e residentes na cidade de São Paulo. O perfil acadêmico revelou que mais da metade proveio de escolas privadas e que 70,59% (108) continuaram seus estudos. Profissionalmente, 91,50% (140) estavam empregados, 49,67% (76) trabalhando em instituições de natureza pública, assalariados e na maioria membros de equipe. Os psicólogos foram os que mais possuíam vínculos empregatícios informais, seguidos pelos fisioterapeutas. Apenas dois enfermeiros possuíam vínculos desse tipo. No que tange ao PAP, a maioria dos respondentes (92,15% (141)), considerou a formação recebida importante e muito importante para a realização das atividades realizadas e 96,73% (148) o recomendariam para um colega de profissão. Evidenciou-se que os resultados apontaram para um número expressivo de 37,25% (57) de respondentes que se encontra em instituições de natureza privada. As alegações para a não permanência no setor público pautaram-se na falta de concursos, poucas vagas e baixos salários. Desse modo, supõe-se que mesmo com a importância atribuída ao PAP e com a continuação dos estudos após a conclusão do Programa, o setor público vem perdendo espaço para o setor privado, no que tange à absorção e retenção de profissionais que ele mesmo financiou para aprimorar. / The objective of this study was to examine the insertion into the labour market of ex scholarships of the Health Professional Practice Program - PAP, managed by the Administrative Development Foundation - Fundap, from the areas of nursing, physiotherapy and psychology, from the years 1997 and 2002. It is a description research, which is outlined methodological way through the characterization of socio-demographic profile of ex-scholarships, their academic and professional situation than to know the influence of the PAP in their professional activity. In a universe of 541 ex-scholarships returned to the return of 153 respondents (28.28%): 24 nurses, 51 physiotherapists and 78 psychologists. It appeared that the majority were women, singles, aged 31 to 40 years and residents in the city of Sao Paulo. The academic profile showed that more than half came from private schools and that 70.59% (108) continued their studies. Professionally, 91.50% (140) were employed, 49.67% (76) working in public institutions, employees and the majority of team members. The psychologists were those who had work link more informal, followed by physiotherapists. Only two nurses had such links. With respect to PAP, the majority of respondents (92.15% (141)), considered the training received important and very important to carry out the activities and 96.73% (148) to recommend to a colleague of profession. There was that the results pointed to a number of 37.25% (57) of respondents is in private institutions of nature. The argument for not stay in the public sector refered to the lack of contests, few vacancies and low wages. Thus, it seems that even with the importance attached to the PAP and the continuation of studies after completion of the programme, the public sector is losing space for the private sector, with regard to the absorption and retention of professionals that it even financed to improve.

Os arquitetos e urbanistas que colaram grau na Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo do atual Instituto Presbiteriano Mackenzie no início dos anos 80 exerceram sua profissão em um cenário de mudanças constantes. Desde sua colação de grau, no Brasil e no mundo surgiram fatores políticos, econômicos e tecnológicos que tiveram conseqüências nos planos profissional e pessoal, de toda a sociedade e na vida de cada um daqueles então recém-formados arquitetos. O objetivo desta pesquisa é conhecer agora, decorridos mais de 30 anos, quais foram esses fatores e suas influências, como essa geração de arquitetos e urbanistas enfrentou essa situação, como se saiu na profissão, que tipo de atividade desenvolveu e como está atualmente. / The architects and urbanists who graduated at the Architecture and Urbanism College at the current Mackenzie Presbyterian Institute in the early 80\'s exercised their profession in a constant changing environment. Since their graduation, in Brazil and in the world emerged political, economic and technological issues that must have had consequences in their professional and personal plans, in the whole society and in the life of each one of those then recently graduated architects. The objective of this research is to know now, after more than 30 years, what were these factors, their influence, and how did this generation of architects and urbanists managed to deal with this environment, how they practiced the profession, what kind of activity they developed and how are they doing nowadays.

O objetivo desta pesquisa foi contribuir para a reflexão sobre a relação entre tecnologia, trabalho e educação a partir das perspectivas, estratégias e trajetórias dos jovens, estudantes e trabalhadores do setor de Tecnologia da Informação (TI), na Região Metropolitana de São Paulo (RMSP). As inovações tecnológicas vêm sendo consideradas uma das principais influências das transformações em diversas esferas da sociedade nos últimos anos, especialmente no mundo do trabalho, com a constituição daquilo que é chamado neste estudo de -mercado de trabalho informacional?. O efeito dessas transformações sobre a vivência educacional e profissional desses jovens é o foco desta pesquisa. Os resultados deste estudo mostram que: 1) Apesar do segmento juvenil ter sido favorecido em sua inserção ocupacional pela expansão das novas tecnologias da informação na sociedade, a própria dinâmica do mercado de trabalho informacional, bem como suas novas exigências por competências técnicas e comportamentais, acabaram desfavorecendo os jovens das classes mais pobres. 2) A flexibilização da formação de nível superior e a corrida por capacitação para atender às qualificações demandadas pelo mercado de trabalho fazem com que os estudantes apresentem uma relação cada vez mais instrumental com a educação, influenciando negativamente a qualidade da formação dos profissionais do setor de TI. / The purpose of this research was to contribute to the reflection about the relationship between technologies, labor and education, based to the prospects, strategies and trajectories of students and workers in the Information Technology (IT) field, in the San Paulo\'s Metropolitan. Technological innovations in recent years are considered to be one of the primary factors responsible for transformations in diverses spheres of society, particularly in the workplace, constituting what it is called in this study -digital labor market?. The effect of these transformations on the educational and professional experience of these young is the focus of this research. The findings of this study suggest that: 1) Although the youth has been favored, in its occupational insertion, by the expansion of new information technologies through all parts of the society, the dynamics of the digital labour market, as well as its new demands for technical and behavioral skills end up not favoring the youth from the lower classes. 2) The increased flexibility of the university degree and the race for qualification to supply the qualifications demanded by the labour market cause the students to have an increasingly instrumental relationship with their education, which exerts a negative influence in the quality of the education of the professionals in the information technology field.

Dimensions of new immigration in England : immigrant settlement patterns, labour market outcomes and neighbourhood experiences

Much of the public policy discourse about immigration in the UK has drawn on the experiences of post-war immigrants from the former British colonies. The volume and composition of immigration flows has changed significantly in recent years with substantial increases in the number of immigrants, particularly from countries without links to the UK, and as a result of the large scale immigration from the EU Accession countries in Central and Eastern Europe. Immigration remains a contested issue with public and political debates focusing on the nature and impact of immigration and its perceived negative effects on employment, public services and social cohesion. In spite of the growing number of studies examining the experiences of new immigrants in local neighbourhoods and labour markets there is a lack of comprehensive evidence about how these experiences differ across immigrant groups and the role of place in shaping the experiences and outcomes of new immigration. This research draws on a variety of data from the census, national surveys, administrative sources and qualitative interviews to explore the settlement patterns, labour market outcomes and neighbourhood experiences of new immigrants. The findings show that new immigrants are more likely to locate in ethnically diverse and socially deprived neighbourhoods upon arrival although there is variation in the factors determining immigrant settlement by world area of origin in line with differences in migration motives and entitlements in the UK. The findings from the qualitative interviews highlight the range of motivations and constraints that shape immigrant settlement patterns and how these change over time with secondary migration and family formation. Analysis of the labour market position of immigrants defined by country of origin and ethnicity shows the persistence of ethnic penalties in the labour market. Immigrants from ethnic minority groups both from established and new immigrant groups are found to be more disadvantaged in the labour market than white immigrants and the White British. The neighbourhood context, specifically neighbourhood deprivation and ethnic diversity, is associated with poorer employment outcomes, with the relationship between area deprivation and employment shown to depend on ethnicity. The qualitative evidence highlights the role of social networks and a range of other factors in facilitating and hindering the socio-economic integration of new immigrants. The findings, particularly in relation to immigrant social networks, access to welfare, settlement intentions and housing aspirations, challenge common perceptions about new immigrants living in deprived areas in the UK. The research evidence contributes to a better understanding of the settlement patterns and experiences of new immigration and has implications for national and local policies.

Para tanto decidiu-se enfocar a identificação de pessoas com deficiências empregadas em empresas e que pudessem, por suas experiências, relatar qual a percepção de sua trajetória escolar e as impressões acerca da inclusão na escola e no trabalho. Com isso buscou-se fazer reflexão acerca do processo de inclusão no momento em que se encontra, por meio de conquistas históricas e promoção de leis especificas como: a Lei de Cotas (que prevê porcentagem para contratação de pessoas com deficiências junto a empresas e também, ainda, por meio da Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional, que destaca capítulo exclusivo à Educação Especial. Nesse sentido, foram escolhidos como objeto de pesquisa empresas do segundo setor da economia, o da indústria, no município de São Carlos-SP, que tinham o dever de empregar pessoas com deficiências. Para tanto, o método utilizado foi o estudo de caso e a investigação do tipo quantitativo e qualitativo. Após contato com a Delegacia Regional do Trabalho de São Carlos - SP obteve-se a informação de que, no segundo setor desta cidade, havia 28 empresas que deveriam cumprir a Lei de Cotas e, com essa informação, foram convidadas 28 empresas para participar do estudo; mas apenas uma aceitou. Pode-se perceber que, no que tange à inclusão na escola ainda há a ocorrência do preconceito e da discriminação. Assim, ela ainda não está preparada para atender pessoas com deficiência seja por questões estruturais, pedagógicas ou de profissionais capacitados. É um ambiente que ainda requer mudanças. Acerca do trabalho, este ambiente também sofre com preconceito e discriminação, porém nele, as pessoas com deficiência se vêem como agentes de transformação... For both decided to focus on the identification of persons with disabilities employed in companies and might, by their experiences, reporting that the perception of their school and impressions about the inclusion in school and at work. Thus we sought to reflect on the process of inclusion at the moment is through the historical achievements and promotion of specific laws such as the Quota Law (providing percentages for hiring people with disabilities and also with companies Moreover, through the Law of Directives and Bases of National Education, which highlights exclusive chapter to Special Education. In this sense, were chosen as subjects of research companies in the second sector of the economy, the industry in the municipality of São Carlos-SP who had the duty to employ people with disabilities. And the most impacted with changes in the workplace are the minority groups, such as young people with disabilities. This reality is also witnessed in the city of Manaus, mainly in the Industrial Pole of Manaus-AM PIM, where a large portion of this population group is outside the labor market, mainly due to lack of opportunity. Faced with this, the present study was to analyze the overall process of inclusion of Youth with disabilities in the labor market of Manaus in the period 2010-2013 Specific objectives:. Outline the profile of young people with disabilities included in the formal labor market and the types of occupations they perform; know the process of selection and recruitment of young people with disabilities hired by companies; investigate the demands that led to the hiring, and barriers to the inclusion of young people with disabilities in the labor market; meet the vision of the youth with disabilities about their inclusion in the labor market in order to identify the limits and possibilities of this process. This research is anchored in the quantity qualitative approach, the following techniques were used: semi-structured with two (2) Fiscal Auditors of Regional Labour-stream, with one (1) Coordinator in each Entity Learning SENAI-interview and Feitoza Paulo Foundation, and two (2) representatives of the Sine-Manaus; and also the Survey questionnaire was administered to nine (9) Senai. Found that young people with disabilities who participate in Senai learning modalities are physical and deaf majority, and there is a prevalence of young male 'occupations they currently are: injection machine operator, administrative assistant selection and recruitment of disabled Sine is made through demand company, which requested most often people with mild disabilities or only one type of disability. Causing thereby prejudiced and discriminatory practices, which violates the rights of persons with disabilities, and the companies that employ more people with disabilities are the electronics industry. Constant inspections conducted by Regional Labour and Employment - AM are not enough to expand the inclusion of youth with disabilities in PIM, therefore there is a gap or weakness in compliance with the Law of Coasts 8.213 91 in the face of a whole and factors ranging from the lack of professional qualification of young people with disabilities; the low schooling; refusal by persons with disabilities themselves, as already receive the continuous benefits-BPC Federal Government, lack of encouragement from the government to the company; lack of accessibility and adapted urban public transport, among others. Despite the youth signaled no difficulty to be included in the labor market has lost employment opportunity and were discriminated against for being a disabled person. / A inclusão de jovens com deficiência no mercado de trabalho é um desafio para a sociedade brasileira, isto porque o desemprego juvenil aumentou consideravelmente nos últimos anos. E os mais impactados com as transformações no mundo do trabalho são os grupos minoritários, como os jovens com deficiência. Essa realidade também é presenciada na cidade de Manaus, principalmente, no Polo Industrial de Manaus – PIM/AM, onde grande parcela desse contingente populacional está fora do mercado de trabalho, especialmente pela falta de oportunidade. Frente a isso, a presente pesquisa teve como objetivo geral analisar o processo de inclusão de Jovens com deficiência no mercado de trabalho de Manaus no período de 2010 a 2013. Como objetivos específicos: traçar o perfil dos jovens com deficiência incluídos no mercado de trabalho formal e os tipos de ocupações por eles exercidas; conhecer o processo de seleção e recrutamento dos jovens com deficiência contratados pelas empresas; investigar as demandas que originaram a contratação e os entraves para a inclusão dos jovens com deficiência no mercado de trabalho; conhecer a visão do jovem com deficiência sobre a sua inclusão no mercado de trabalho a fim de identificar os limites e possibilidades deste processo. Esta pesquisa, foi ancorada numa da abordagem quanti-qualitaiva. Dos jovens com deficiência que participam das modalidades aprendizagem do Senai, a maioria é de deficientes físicos e auditivos; há uma prevalência de jovens do sexo masculino; as ocupações exercidas pelos jovens participantes da pesquisa são: operador de máquina injetora e auxiliar administrativo. A seleção e recrutamento das pessoas com deficiência no Sine são realizadas por meio da demanda das empresas, as quais solicitam na maioria das vezes, pessoas com deficiência leve ou só um tipo de deficiência, o que acarreta, práticas de discriminatória e preconceituosa, ferindo os direitos das pessoas com deficiência mais graves. As empresas que mais empregam pessoas com deficiência são do ramo eletroeletrônico. As constantes fiscalizações realizadas pela Superintendência Regional do Trabalho e Emprego - AM não estão sendo suficientes para ampliar a inclusão dos jovens com deficiência no PIM, pois ainda existe uma lacuna ou fragilidade no cumprimento da Lei de Costas 8.213 91 - em face de um conjunto de fatores, tais como: falta de qualificação profissional dos jovens com deficiência; baixa escolarização; recusa por parte das próprias pessoas com deficiência, por já receberem o Benefício de Prestação Continuada - BPC do Governo Federal, falta de estímulo do governo para empresa; falta de acessibilidade urbanística e de transporte público adaptado, dentre outros. Apesar dos jovens sinalizarem que não tiveram dificuldade de ser incluídos no mercado de trabalho, já perderam oportunidades de emprego e foram discriminados por serem pessoas com deficiência. Conclui-se que, apesar dos avanços processados para esse segmento populacional nos últimos anos no Brasil, principalmente, com a Lei de Cotas, ainda são grandes os desafios para inclusão dos jovens com deficiência nas empresas do PIM de Manaus. O que requer uma nova forma de pensar e agir em benefício das pessoas com deficiência, e consequentemente, a ampliação da cidadania.

No que tange ao PAP, a maioria dos respondentes (92,15% (141)), considerou a formação recebida importante e muito importante para a realização das atividades realizadas e 96,73% (148) o recomendariam para um colega de profissão. Evidenciou-se que os resultados apontaram para um número expressivo de 37,25% (57) de respondentes que se encontra em instituições de natureza privada. As alegações para a não permanência no setor público pautaram-se na falta de concursos, poucas vagas e baixos salários. Desse modo, supõe-se que mesmo com a importância atribuída ao PAP e com a continuação dos estudos após a conclusão do Programa, o setor público vem perdendo espaço para o setor privado, no que tange à absorção e retenção de profissionais que ele mesmo financiou para aprimorar. / The objective of this study was to examine the insertion into the labour market of ex scholarships of the Health Professional Practice Program - PAP, managed by the Administrative Development Foundation - Fundap, from the areas of nursing, physiotherapy and psychology, from the years 1997 and 2002. It is a description research, which is outlined methodological way through the characterization of socio-demographic profile of ex-scholarships, their academic and professional situation than to know the influence of the PAP in their professional activity. In a universe of 541 ex-scholarships returned to the return of 153 respondents (28.28%): 24 nurses, 51 physiotherapists and 78 psychologists. It appeared that the majority were women, singles, aged 31 to 40 years and residents in the city of Sao Paulo. The academic profile showed that more than half came from private schools and that 70.59% (108) continued their studies. Professionally, 91.50% (140) were employed, 49.67% (76) working in public institutions, employees and the majority of team members. The psychologists were those who had work link more informal, followed by physiotherapists. Only two nurses had such links. With respect to PAP, the majority of respondents (92.15% (141)), considered the training received important and very important to carry out the activities and 96.73% (148) to recommend to a colleague of profession. There was that the results pointed to a number of 37.25% (57) of respondents is in private institutions of nature. The argument for not stay in the public sector refered to the lack of contests, few vacancies and low wages. Thus, it seems that even with the importance attached to the PAP and the continuation of studies after completion of the programme, the public sector is losing space for the private sector, with regard to the absorption and retention of professionals that it even financed to improve.
