Bloggens Nyheter : En diskursanalys om mediernas nya utmanare

Sundkvist, Sofia, Johansson, Andreas January 2008 (has links)

Emulação dos regimes permante e transitório das turbinas de eixo horizontal incluindo o modelo estático da turbina magnus / Emulation of the static and dynamic characteristics of horizontal axis wind turbines including the steady-state representation of a magnus turbine

Corrêa, Leonardo Candido 24 January 2014 (has links)
Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The lodgment of wind sites is in a visible growing demand not only in Brazil, but all over the world. The wind energy, even though consolidated, still hosts many scientific researches and industrial development in several areas such as control, power converter topologies and stability of grid connected wind turbines (WT). Due to the remarkable development of this technology in the market and the wind seasonality characteristics, it is difficult to study this power source in its operation field. Thus, a controlled environment for testing is desirable. This dissertation presents a topology of horizontal axis wind turbines (HAWT) emulator using a DC motor to provide an electrical generator the same torque that it would if it was driven by a typical WT. In addition to the static model, represented by the pitch angle and power coefficient, a dynamic model of HAWT is proposed in order to improve the representation of real turbines in the field, which allows characterizing the effect of wind shear, towering shadowing and turbine yaw. Furthermore, it permits emulating large inertia machines through smaller engines, by changing the torque imposed on the generator. The appealing motivation in this thesis is that the Magnus turbine emulation includes a relative new type of wind machine that possesses rotating cylinders instead of the traditional propeller blades in traditional HAWT. It is shown how these cylinders increase the available torque, then producing useful power even at lower wind speeds. Simulated and experimental results to evaluate the performance of the wind turbine emulator are presented. Both turbines are analyzed with and without MPPT. Finally the conclusions of this work are presented as well as new proposals for future works.

Uma ordenação para o grupo de tranças puras / An ordering for groups of pure braids

Letícia Melocro 25 October 2016 (has links)
In this work, we present a geometric description of the braids groups of the disk Bpnq and its presentation in terms of generators and relations in the famous theorem of Artin\'s presentation. We also show that groups of pure braids, denoted by PBpnq, groups that have the trivial permutation of the strings, are bi-orderable, that is, we will present the explicit construction of a strict total ordering of pure braids PBpnq which is invariant under multiplying on both sides. This process is given from the combination of the techniques of combing Artin and Magnus expansion to free groups.

Bases de monômes dans les algèbres pré-Lie libres et applications / Monomial bases for free pre-Lie algebras and applications

Al-Kaabi, Mahdi Jasim Hasan 28 September 2015 (has links)
In this thesis, we study the concept of free pre-Lie algebra generated by a (non-empty) set. We review the construction by A. Agrachev and R. Gamkrelidze of monomial bases in free pre-Lie algebras. We describe the matrix of the monomial basis vectors in terms of the rooted trees basis exhibited by F. Chapoton and M. Livernet. Also, we show that this matrix is unipotent and we find an explicit expression for its coefficients, adapting a procedure implemented for the free magmatic algebra by K. Ebrahimi-Fard and D. Manchon. We construct a pre-Lie structure on the free Lie algebra $\mathcal{L}$(E) generated by a set E, giving an explicit presentation of $\mathcal{L}$(E) as the quotient of the free pre-Lie algebra $\mathcal{T}$^E, generated by the (non-planar) E-decorated rooted trees, by some ideal I. We study the Gröbner bases for free Lie algebras in tree version. We split the basis of E- decorated planar rooted trees into two parts O(J) and $\mathcal{T}$(J), where J is the ideal defining $\mathcal{L}$(E) as a quotient of the free magmatic algebra generated by E. Here $\mathcal{T}$(J) is the set of maximal terms of elements of J, and its complement O(J) then defines a basis of $\mathcal{L}$(E). We get one of the important results in this thesis (Theorem 3.12), on the description of the set O(J) in terms of trees. We describe monomial bases for the pre-Lie (respectively free Lie) algebra $\mathcal{L}$(E), using the procedure of Gröbner bases and the monomial basis for the free pre-Lie algebra obtained in Chapter 2. Finally, we study the so-called classical and pre-Lie Magnus expansions, discussing how we can find a recursion for the pre-Lie case which already incorporates the pre-Lie identity. We give a combinatorial vision of a numerical method proposed by S. Blanes, F. Casas, and J. Ros, on a writing of the classical Magnus expansion in $\mathcal{L}$(E), using the pre-Lie structure.

Rastreamento do ponto de máxima potência de turbinas magnus acionando geradores elétricos / Maximum power point tracking of magnus wind turbines driving electrical generators

Ribeiro, Cláudia Garrastazu 24 January 2014 (has links)
Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The constant human need for electricity, as well as the increasing demand for energy causes the use of finite sources, as oil and coal. The search for alternative energy sources as wind harvesting is the motivation for this master dissertation. Wind energy is a consolidated technology, mostly based on three blades wind turbine. This master thesis constitutes an analysis of a non-conventional wind machine, named Magnus wind turbine. The turbine s operation is based on the Magnus effect and its difference with respect to the traditional type is that it has rotating cylinders instead of fixed blades, which benefits an increase of generated power, since this turbine can produce power from low wind speeds. A method to track the maximum power point based on the control of the cylinders rotation is proposed, whereas in literature only fixed values were found for this variable. This Magnus turbine is used to drive a permanent magnet synchronous generator as a way to prove the theoretical predictions. The electrical generator also uses a specific method to track the maximum power point for the whole set. Simulated and practical results are demonstrating the performance of the Magnus wind turbine driving a permanent magnet synchronous generator.

Engströms praktiker i praktiken : en studie om gymnasieelevers praktiktillhörighet utifrån Lars-Magnus Engströms teorier. / Engström’s practices in practice : a study about Swedish secondary school students’ practice belonging based on Lars-Magnus Engström’s theories.

Abrahamsson, Oliver January 2016 (has links)
Aim The purpose of this study is to research and map Swedish secondary school students’ taste for sports (practice belonging) based on Lars-Magnus Engström’s practice division. The purpose is also to explore how gender, participation in organized sports and socioeconomic capital might be related to practice belonging. The study will also explore what type of learning the different practices contributes to. – How is the practice belonging among Swedish secondary school students? – Is there a relationship between practice belonging and learning? Method A survey was conducted on 270 Swedish secondary school students. The students went to three different schools, all located in the Stockholm suburbs. The results were analyzed in SPSS and significance levels were tried through Pearson’s Chi-Square test. The study’s theoretical base consisted of Bourdieu’s concept of habitus, Vygotsky’s sociocultural learning theory as well as Hirdman’s and Fagrell’s rendering of the gender system.  Results Challenge, physical training as well as competition and ranking were practices who most felt a strong belonging to. Skill training was a practice that boys to a larger extent than girls belonged to and movement to music was a practice that girls in a larger extent than boys belonged to. The students who had a higher grade in PE felt a strong practice belonging to all practices but movement to music as well as interaction with animals. There were no significant results between economic capital and practice belonging. Those with a high or semi-high educational capital felt a strong practice belonging for all practices but movement to music, interaction with animals and competition and ranking. The students who were participating in organized sports felt a stronger belonging to all performance practices as well as physical training and skill training than those who weren’t participating in organized sports. The results in the comparison between practice belonging and learning showed that those with strong practice belonging to a greater extent agreed with the assertions connected to the practice’s learning. Conclusions There seems to be differences in practice belonging depending on which gender one belongs to. One’s practice belonging can also differ depending on educational capital and participation in organized sports. It seems to be some practices that to a greater extent lead to a higher grade in PE. The results also indicate that there is learning within each practice.

Dynamics of repeatedly driven closed systems

D'Alessio, Luca 07 April 2016 (has links)
This thesis covers my work in the field of closed, repeatedly driven, Hamiltonian systems. These systems do not exchange particles with the surrounding environment and their time-evolution is described by Hamilton's equations of motion (in the classical framework) or the Schroedinger equation (in the quantum framework). Their interaction with the environment is encoded into the time-dependence of the system's Hamiltonian. Chapter 1 is an "Overview" in which the status of the field, my contributions and future prospective are outlined. Chapters 2 to 4 provide the theoretical background which is used in Chapters 5 to 7 to derive some original results. These results show that in Hamiltonian systems, after many driving events, universal properties emerge. In particular, using the framework of the linear Boltzmann equation, I have studied the dynamics of a mobile, light impurity in a gas of heavy particles. The impurity's kinetic energy increases and, in the long time limit, approaches a non-thermal asymptotic distribution. The significance of this work is to show explicitly the emergence of a non-thermal distribution in a closed, driven system. Moreover, using the work-fluctuation theorems, I have studied the character of the energy distribution of a generic isolated system driven according a generic protocol. Both thermal and non-thermal distributions can be realized for the same system by changing the characteristics of the driving protocol. These two different regimes are separated by a dynamical phase transition. Finally, I have used the Floquet Theory and the Magnus Expansion to analyze the behavior of a generic interacting system which is driven periodically in time. For fast driving the system is unable to absorb energy and remains localized in the low energy part of the Hilbert space while for slow driving the system absorbs energy and, in the long time limit, it is delocalized in the entire Hilbert space. These two qualitatively different behaviors are separated by a many-body localization transition which is related to the break down of the Magnus expansion at the critical value of the driving frequency.
