Esta dissertação apresenta uma análise da retomada e desenvolvimento do tema clássico da conversação (sermo) por parte de Michel de Montaigne em seu ensaio III VIII, De l´art de conferer. Examina-se, por um lado, como o Ensaísta estabelece, por oposição a duas contrafações, dissimulação e erística, o regime ideal da boa conference. Por outro lado, como, por oposição à inépcia contra-exemplar do tolo (sot), expõe as três qualidades da manière du dire: a ordem, a prudência, a suffisance. Mostra-se, então, que esta reorientação para a maneira, fazendo a crítica do artifício e do pedantismo e seu saber aparente, apoiado apenas na memória , funda-se no cuidado com as concepções e matérias, assimiladas pela experiência. A compreensão da conference, rival e cooperativa, entre amigos que discutem opiniões contraditórias e se corrigem mutuamente, faz dela o modo privilegiado de freqüentação e avaliação dos homens e dos livros, e o meio mais próprio do exercício do julgamento e do pensamento. Pautam-se neste percurso questões fundamentais para o tratamento do ensaio como forma. / This dissertation presents a analysis of the Montaigne\'s own development of the classical theme of \"conversation\" in his essay III VIII, De l\'art de conferer. It is examined, on one hand, the way he sets up the ideal regime of good conversation by opposing it both to dissimulation and to eristic, both considered as counterfeits; on the other hand, how he defines, by opposing it to the counter-exemplary inneficiency of the foul (\"sot\"), the three caracteristics of the manière du dire: \"order\", \"prudence\" and \"suffisance\". Once criticized artifice and pedantry whose apparent knowledge is only supported by memory , it is shown that this reorientation to \"manner\" is founded over the diligence with the notions and subjects leaned by experience. The correct comprehension of the rival and cooperative conference, between friends discussing together conflicting opinions and correcting each other, makes of it the privileged way of frequenting and evaluating mens and books, and also the appropriate way of judgement\'s and thinking\'s exercise. Along with these, some questions involving the essay as a literary form are also treated.

The introductory part of the thesis deals with the overall issue of valuation, explaining the basic concepts that are necessary for the valuation. Then followed the analysis of market with the real estates and characteristic description of the specified location. For the purposes of the valuation was selected 10 real estates of type garage, which are valued at cost and comparative manner according to the announcement and comparative manner with the database. The real estates were selected around the city Protivin. A local investigation was carried out and the documentation was made for the each garage. The acquired data are evaluated and the result describes the effect of the location on the price of the property.

<p>The literature on J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter is prolific. People have written on various topics dealing with issues such as translation, etymology and diverse areas concerning the language. In this essay, I examine whether linguistic features such as reporting verbs, adverbs of manner and adjectives contribute to the depiction of heroic and villainous characters. Before conducting this research, my assumptions were that there would be a great difference in the value of the words depending on the character they were associated with. I wanted to see if the heroic characters used verbs and adverbs with positive connotations, and the villainous characters verbs and adverbs with negative connotations. I also wanted to know if the adjectives describing the characters could, in themselves, clearly indicate whether a character was a hero or a villain.</p><p>The results of my research suggested that the choice of particular verbs and adverbs contributed only indirectly to the depiction of the characters. Without context, it was not possible to know if the character was a hero or a villain simply by identifying the verbs and adverbs used to describe their speech. By contrast, the choice of particular adjectives did appear to indicate more clearly whether a character was hero or villain. Finally, the results of my research indicated that context, rather than the use of particular linguistic features was often the most important factor in contributing to the portrayal of characters in the novel.</p>

in English This diploma thesis deals with the manner and extent of compensation for damage in civil law, which is systematically included in the fourth part of the Civil Code, entitled Relative property rights and in section named Obligations arising from torts. Specifically, the manner and extent of compensation for damage is defined in articles from 2951 to 2971. The thesis contains basic comparison of the conceptions of the manner and extent of compensation in the former Civil Code and in the new one, with emphasis on the most important reforms. It clarifies new terminology and describes the background of the newly established rules of law. It contains an analysis of the Czech legislation and its comparison with legislation of the neighboring states. It also mentions the European conception of the manner and extent of compensation for damage. The system of the thesis follows the organisation of the provisions on the manner and extent of compensation in the new Civil Code and is also divided into three chapters. The first one deals with compensation for material damage. Its main issue is the manner and extent of the material compensation and the conditions for its reduction. The aim of my thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of the current legal status of general meetings of the stock companies and procedures for their assembling from the perspective of legal theory and practice, focusing on the current decision-making process of courts within the Czech Republic. The method used for gathering all the information needed was the studying of the available sources, namely: published books and magazines, and published judgments of the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic considering the given issue. The paper aims, in addition to a general description and unification of uncontested facts, to discuss issues and options for solutions conformimg with the laws of the Czech Republic. Simultaneously, the paper seeks to draw attention to the conclusions of the courts and the vocational community. The focus of the thesis is the definition of authorized meeting organizers and their responsibilities associated the role; followed by a systematic analysis of the covening of the General Assembly to define particular problems which might be encountered by the convener and shareholders may throughout the practice. The conclusion is devoted to European law and its impact on the law of the Czech Republic in the field of law of general meetings of joint stock companies.

The following essay is a thesis in Information Design with orientation in Informative illustration. The collaboration with the TT News Agency, which forms the basis of the work, presupposes that an information graphic about the history of smoking is produced, which occurs in connection with the new tobacco law coming into force on July 1, 2019. The purpose of the thesis is to examine how the formation of image manners can affect the historical connection to an illustration, and examine whether this can contribute to a perceived development of time. The aim of the enquiry is to explore whether it is possible to create a "timeline" without a line, using manners.   Through data collection and theories in semiotics, visual rhetoric, cognitive visualization and perception, as well as previous experiences throughout the education in Informative illustration, concept and design proposals were created. Methods used in the thesis are image analysis and testing, which took the form of an internet survey. The former was implemented to understand how the manners of the illustration should look like to create an affiliation to the stated time periods. The latter was carried out to investigate whether the target group experiences the connection between the illustrations and the time periods, and to investigate whether the illustrations together contribute to a historical development. The result of the study shows that manners can contribute with a historical connection, but the illustrations with a more distinctive appearance are considered easier to interpret. The result also concluded that object´s, such as clothes and jewelry, contributes to the understanding of the illustrations historical affiliation. Manners can also contribute to a perceived historical development, whereupon 96 percent of the survey participants perceived this. / Följande undersökning är ett examensarbete i Informationsdesign med inriktningen Informativ illustration. Samarbetet med TT Nyhetsbyrån, som ligger till grund för arbetet, förutsätter att en informationsgrafik om rökningens historia gestaltas, vilket sker i samband med att den nya tobakslagen träder i kraft 1 juli 2019. Syftet med examensarbetet är att undersöka hur utformning av bildmanér kan påverka den historiska kopplingen till en illustration, samt undersöka om detta kan bidra till en upplevd utveckling av tid. Målet med undersökningen är att utforska om det är möjligt att skapa en ”tidslinje” utan linje, med hjälp av manér.Genom datainsamling och teorier inom semiotik, visuell retorik, kognitiv visualisering och perception, samt tidigare erfarenheter inom utbildningen Informativ illustration, utformades koncept- och gestaltningsförslag. Metoder som brukats i arbetet är bildanalys och utprovning, vilket tog form utav en surveyundersökning. Den förstnämnda genomfördes för att få en inblick i hur gestaltningarnas manér bör se ut för att skapa en tillhörighet till dess specifika tidsperiod. Den nästnämnda genomfördes för att undersöka om målgruppen upplever illustrationernas koppling till de tänka tidsperioderna , samt undersöka om målgruppen anser att illustrationerna i samverkan bidrar till en historisk utveckling.Resultatet av undersökningen påvisar att manér kan bidra med en historisk koppling, däremot anses de illustrationer med ett mer utmärkande manér enklare att avläsa. Det framkom även att bildobjekt och föremål, likt kläder och smycken, är bidragande vid förståelse för illustrationens historiska tillhörighet. Likaså kan manér bidra med en upplevd historisk utveckling, varpå 96 procent av enkätens deltagare anses uppfatta detta.

Procura-se nesse estudo ler os Ensaios de Montaigne, menos em sua dimensão de descrição verdadeira dos casos que são abordados e dos arrazoados que são produzidos, e mais em sua dimensão de produção de efeitos verossímeis e persuasivos; atentos, pois, à intenção de um escritor em fazer crer (fidem facere) mais que em dizer a verdade. Assim, o propósito é o de relacionar o discurso deste autor com uma atividade plenamente ciente dos meios e instrumentos técnicos de produção da persuasão. Não se descarta a questão da veracidade do autorretrato, mas, entende-se que esta consiste em um dos elementos fundamentais por cuja construção verossímil prima o esforço do Ensaísta. Busca-se, pois mostrar que o que o livro nos dá a ler são as múltiplas operações do espírito que integram a maneira de uma persona construída nos convencer de sua coincidência espontânea, veraz e bem sucedida com seu autor. / This thesis investigates Montaignes Essays and the persuasive and verisimilar rhetorical effects that they manage to achieve, rather than consider them as true descriptions of the matters they discuss and the statements they entail. Thus, close attention is paid to Montaignes intention to create belief (fidem facere) rather than to state the truth. Accordingly, this thesis sets out to identify this authors discourse as one that is fully aware of the technical instruments of rhetorical persuasion. Likewise, the veracity of the authors self-portrayal is not ignored, but it is understood as one of the fundamental elements at which the essayists efforts to produce verisimilitude predominate. Therefore, this research intends to show that what one reads in Montaignes Essays are the multiple operations of a mind that compose the manner of a persona that was built to persuade the reader that it coincides spontaneously, truthfully and successfully with the author.
