Process of strategy foundation is analyzed in this final master work. The main objective is to show how the strategy of company is prepared investigating its external and internal environment, and analyzing its strengths, weakness, opportunities and threads. The most important task of this work is to make the forecast of the company’s further activity and to choose the most suitable strategy. The method of research – analyzing of scientific literature and second-rate data and also using a method of analysis of descriptive situation. There were made the detailed analysis of company’s present situation and perspectives of its activity have been made and the strategy, which best corresponds company’s long-term aims, has been chosen. Consumptions about the received results as well as recommendations have been presented in the last part of this master work.

This master‘s final paper formulates problems of universities image, its formation, adjustement and support in Panevėžys district. It analyses and systematizes variuos research about image and public relations by Lithuanian and foreign authors. The paper presents a detailed analysis of image influence on university selection. It also presents acomplished potential students – unemployed people and pupils – opinion research about Lithuanian universities image in Panevėžys district. The research confirms hypothesis of an author that active formation of positive university, image adjustement and support strongly effects the popularity of university and potential students choice.

Vytautas Jankauskas Analysis of Ltd. Company “LUKOIL Baltija” activity in Lithuania and strategical regulation. In this final paper the strategies of activity and expanding of Ltd. Company “Lukoil Baltija” have been analysed and based on the investigation. In the theoretical part four main business strategies typical of the business of petrol stations have been analysed: business unit strategy, low price strategy, differentiation strategy and concentration strategy. Three types of strategically managed enterprise features have been revealed: the features of diversified organization, mechanical organization and professional organization. The role of leadership in preparing business strategy of enterprise and strategical planning stages has been described. In the investigative part of this final paper the characteristics of Ltd. Company “Lukoil Baltija”, Ltd. the general charakteristics of “Lukoil Baltija” Servisas, detailed micro and makro analysis of business environment situation has been carried out. A lot of attention has been paid to analysis of economy branch competitor possibilities, SWOT analysis. Tne main strategical regulations of Ltd. Company “Lukoil Baltija” have been substantiated also. SUMMARY Inga Dargienė Assumptions of making team work more efficient in schools of Šiauliai. Master’s work. Theoretical aspects of team work of different Lithuanian and foreign authors have been analyzed in Master thesis taking into consideration peculiarities of a school as an organizational unit and particularity of activities. On the grounds of theoretical analysis the research of team work practice in schools of Šiauliai has been carried out evaluating overall situation of team work; establishing characteristics and development of team work and factors that influence its efficiency; finding out the most efficient directions in team work improvement, optimal team work issue solving methods and assumptions of making team work more efficient. Data collected during the empirical research by the means of questionnaire poll has allowed to support the scientific hypothesis that team work enhances functionality of schools as organizational units.

This master’s final paper analyses a development of business unit strategy. The aim of this study is to review current strategic literature, practical examples; to evaluate position of examined company in the market, using theoretical solutions and methods; and to develop a business unit strategy for it. To achieve this, there were done an analysis of the essence of strategic management, its benefits and problems, strategy development methods and levels of strategy. The paper present a detail studies of business level’s features, principles and factors, making an influence to strategy development. There are evaluated economic forecast methods, their advantages and disadvantages. It also presents singularities of examined company, internal and external analysis. The resulting product is a developed strategy for business unit UAB “Dezinfa”.

The main idea of this work was to find out the marketing strategy of Joint Stock Company „Trojina“ and discover what influence the superficial factors had on this company. We have also analysed the micro environment of marketing that helped to identify what suppliers, consumers and competitors company had. Product, market price, presentation, supporting and consumers of Joint Stock Company „Trojina“ have been studied in the marketing plan. The company’s policy has been seen from the got analysis and it has been easier to decide what company would have to do in future. Finally the SWOT analysis of company has been performed and the future projects had been detailed. Joint Stock Company “Trojina” was registered on August 28th, 1996. The seat of this company is in Vilnius, but it has subsidiary companies in Kaunas, Klaipėda, Panevezys, Siauliai. As we can see they are the biggest cities of Lithuania. The main activity of the company is wholesale and retail trade of food and industry goods. The most important marketing strategies in company are the policy of prices, the improving of assortment according to the needs of consumers, the presentment of goods and the strategies of promotion and sale that have a big influence on the consumers.

This master dissertation discusses and analyses the internal and external factors influencing the work of Šiauliai branch of the State Enterprise Registry Centre, systematizes the Lithuanian and foreign theories about strategic planning, management, introduces the peculiarities of administering and registration of real estate, analyses the documents, presents the strategy of the branch, explicates the significance of human resources. The SWOT analysis have been performed using a questionnaire with the goal to find out the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the enterprise. The results prove the hypothesis that Šiauliai branch of the State Enterprise Registry Centre has such expansion opportunities as high qualification services, staff in-service training and the expansion of material facilities. The research discloses new results: 1. It has analysed the external factors influencing the work of Šiauliai branch. 2. The analysis of the internal factors shows that enterprise pays major attention to the improvement of the staff qualification and service quality. 3. In master’s work there are analyzed the budget of the municipality of Telsiai district, the requirement of the credit financing and the most relevant instrument of the borrowing is selected. The analysis of the non-fiction literature, the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, acts, the decisions of the common council of Telsiai district are presented. After the analysis the conclusion was made that credit financing and method of the borrowing would help the local government of Telsiai district better to do the appointed functions of the state with the support of the emission of the municipal revenue bonds. Hypothesis of the investigation confirms that the local government is lacking of the high credit-financing requirement.

In this master’s work there are presented the conception problems of the management competence; analysed and systemised competence theories of different Lithuanian and foreign authors; described the main differences; presented analysis of competence levels and models. The applying possibilities and limits in the organisation context. There are discussed competence training and estimating criteria and the capital investment pays dividends into the employee’s competence system. In this work there are presented the results of the research of management competence conception among the leaders and managers and according by them there are settled the management competence conception tendencies at work. The research presented that the respondents estimate themselves as competitive, but the real competence aspects are rather less than they understand them. It means the author’s formed scientific research hypothesis is confirmed, that the employees face the competence importance, but they do not feel very competitive themselves.
