The primary goal of this study was to identify key success factors for the management of a conference centre in South Africa. This goal was achieved by firstly portraying an overview of the conference industry in South Africa. Secondly, a literature study was conducted in order to determine the aspects in the literature that are regarded as of vital importance in managing a conference centre. Thirdly, the results of the empirical research were discussed. Lastly, conclusions were drawn from the research and recommendations were made with regard to further research. From the literature study, aspects of strategic management, financial management, marketing management, human resource management and management of operational aspects were identified as being important in the management of a conference centre. These aspects were used to compile a questionnaire. The objective of the questionnaire was to measure the importance that conference centre managers attach to the identified elements. Questionnaires were e-mailed to 250 conference centres. A total of 100 questionnaires were received back. The study population consisted of a database as compiled by the researcher from the Direct Access Conference Handbook (2004) and the Africa Conference Directory (2006/7). Questionnaires were also handed out personally to exhibitors at the INDABA Tourism Exhibition (2006). From the responses to the questionnaire it can be deduced that conference centre managers regard the aspects of strategic management, financial management, marketing management, human resource management and management of operational details as important to very important. A factor analysis was done to determine the key success factors in managing a conference centre. The following factors were identified, namely to: • Provide a conference centre with a functional layout and the correct variety of activities; • perform marketing management; • ensure that operational aspects are in place; • do proper planning; • provide an attractive venue and conduct a post-conference evaluation; and • perform human resource management. 不動產產業近年來持續蓬勃發展,關於不動產相關的服務,亦成為各家不動產同行的兵家必爭之地。如何以好的服務創新,激發潛在買家對於特定建案的興趣,進而促成交易,帶動不動產業者之營運績效,可謂本研究之一大要點。   而資訊科技的日新月異,更是服務創新之一大契機。過去的不動產服務,往往必須以實體界面提供;然而,若是透過資訊平台進行服務提供,那可望有機會提供更完整且更加及時的服務,而且伴隨網際網路的威力,可以讓服務更加無所不在。每年我國不動產成交數量成千上萬,但是仿間資訊並不一定能完全滿足需要,買家和賣家之間存在資訊不對稱,是故,利用資訊系統進行服務創新降低資訊不對稱極具商機。   本研究透過學者邱志聖於2001年所提出的策略4C理論架構,使用V公司作為個案研究的案例,探討不動產產業利用網際網路提供服務創新的議題,希望能對不動產產業之產學界有所助益。 / Real estate industry continues to flourish in recent years, and services related to real estate industry have also become a battleground of firms in that industry. How to utilize better service innovation to inspire potential buyers' interest in specific building cases, to prompt trading, and to boost operating performance of those industries are all major points in this study.   The rapid changes in information technology can also be regarded as one of the great opportunity for service innovation. In the past, the real estate services often base on physical interface; however, through the information platform, it is more likely to provide a more timely service.Moreover, the power of the Internet has made service more ubiquitous. The volume of China's real estate transactions mounts tens of thousands each year, but the information in the market place does not fully meet the needs. Information asymmetry exists between buyers and sellers, therefore,using of information system to improve services innovation and to reduce information asymmetry can be regarded as a profitable niche.   This study, through the strategy 4C theoretical framework proposed by a scholar Jyh-Shen Chiou in 2001, using V Company as a case study, explores the issue of real estate industry's usage of the Internet to provide service innovation, in hopes that the results will be helpful for the real estate industry and the academia.

Thus, the investment made to develop the industry it is used for maintenance of Non-Governmental Organizations. Even with the support of the first sector, the state and the second sector, private companies, organizations belonging to the third sector is not structured and automatically lose credibility with the community and society, as are the image of amateur organizations, thus losing a potential allied toinvest in the sector, the individual in society. The Network Marketing is a marketing strategy from selling direct, differing only in the form of compensation of its independent distributors. This strategy when applied ethically and efficiently, resulting in a boomingmarket companies, as well as a large growth in financial matters of the organization.Through theory, more specifically in the chain of social value, we found that this marketing strategy applied in the nonprofit sector may be a way of promoting sustainable development. So the research question we sought to apply the marketingnetwork in Action Network of Social Organizations of Santa Maria / RS, through acompany to be registered, the Network Marketing Action (MRA). During the creation and implementation of the project was carried out market research, included in the marketing plan prepared, which identified ways to sensitize the local community in relation to the third sector, thus creating action strategies for project / O terceiro setor do Brasil é um setor com grande potencial de crescimento, porém devido à má gestão realizada, as Organizações Não-Governamentais acabam utilizando os recursos arrecadados apenas para sua sobrevivência. Desta forma, o investimento realizado para desenvolver o setor acaba sendo usado para manutenção das Organizações Não-Governamentais. Mesmo com o apoio do primeiro setor, Estado e do segundo setor, empresas privadas, as organizações pertencentes ao terceiro setor não se estruturam e automaticamente perdem credibilidade perante a comunidade e sociedade, pois passam a imagem de organizações amadoras, desta forma, perdendo um potencial aliado a investir no setor, o individuo da sociedade. O Marketing de rede é uma estratégia de marketing derivada da venda direta, diferenciando-se apenas na forma de compensação de seus distribuidores independentes. Esta estratégia quando aplicada de forma ética e eficiente, resulta em uma grande expansão de mercado das empresas, bem como um grande crescimento nas questões financeiras da organização. Através da teoria, mais especificamente da cadeia de valor social, identificou-se que esta estratégia de marketing aplicada no terceiro setor, poderá ser uma forma de promoção do desenvolvimento sustentável. Então, nesta pesquisa buscou-se analisar se o marketing de rede pode tornar-se uma estratégia para o aumento de arrecadação das Organizações Não-Governamentais pertencentes à Rede Ação das Organizações Sociais de Santa Maria/RS. Todo este processo através de uma empresa a ser registrada, a Marketing de Rede Ação (MRA). Durante o período de criação e busca da implementação do projeto, realizou-se uma pesquisa de mercado, inclusa no plano de marketing elaborado, onde identificou os caminhos para sensibilizar a comunidade local em relação ao terceiro setor, assim criando estratégias de ação para o sucesso do projeto.

Os desafios e dificuldades que executivos de empresas encontram para desenvolver e aplicar modelos de avaliação eficientes de suas estratégias de marketing, em função da complexidade da tarefa e da quantidade de fatores que podem interferir nos resultados, além da distância existente entre a prática da gestão empresarial e os modelos científicos apresentados e reconhecidos pela academia são o porto de partida desta pesquisa. A partir deste entendimento, a intenção do estudo foi estabelecer alguns links que possibilitem desenvolver uma proposta de avaliação da eficácia da estratégia de marketing. Assim, desenvolveu-se uma pesquisa de caráter exploratório, sendo escolhido o método de estudo de caso, no qual se avalia a eficácia da estratégia de marketing da Unimed Porto Alegre, a partir de indicadores de desempenho mercadológico e empresarial. A estratégia de marketing foi elaborada em 2008 e executada a partir de 2009, sendo que o acompanhamento dos indicadores de desempenho mercadológico e empresarial para análise dos resultados foi feita entre 2009 e 2011. A estratégia de marketing analisada neste trabalho teve como principais objetivos: impactar o mercado, provocar uma percepção de admiração sustentada na proposição de valor da Cooperativa, multiplicar sua base de clientes, conquistar novos clientes e evitar a evasão, converter relacionamento em fidelidade e capturar valor, promovendo a causa do bem-estar e fazendo da Unimed Porto Alegre uma empresa admirável e desejada. O produto conceitual da estratégia de marketing é o IBE (índice de bem-estar Unimed Porto Alegre) que direciona as ações de comunicação e relacionamento da Cooperativa tanto para seus clientes quanto para seus médicos. A estratégia de marketing da Cooperativa transcendeu a sua função primária de divulgação e comercialização e passou a promover uma causa, a causa do bem-estar, buscando consolidar sua imagem e liderança no mercado e assim atingir seus objetivos estratégicos de médio e longo prazo. No estudo, foram considerados indicadores de desempenho mercadológico e empresarial já amplamente utilizados e validados em diversas pesquisas sobre o tema. A análise de vínculo entre a eficácia da estratégia de marketing e o reconhecimento público foi feita considerando o escopo, a importância e a relevância dos prêmios recebidos. Nesta dissertação buscou-se também estabelecer a ligação entre a pesquisa e a prática no campo da gestão. From this understanding, the objective of this study was to establish some links that enable to develop a proposal to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategy. Thus, an exploratory survey was developed, it was selected the case study method, that presents the evaluation of the effectiveness of the Unimed Porto Alegre marketing strategy, based on marketing and financial performance outcomes. The marketing strategy was developed in 2008 and the execution started in 2009. The performance indicators monitoring and analysis were made between 2009 and 2011. The main objectives of the marketing strategy analyzed in this research were to: impact the market, cause a sense of wonder sustained in the Cooperative’s value proposition, multiply its customer base, gain new customers and avoid evasion, convert relationship in fidelity and capture value by promoting the cause of well-being and make Unimed Porto Alegre being admirable and desirable. The conceptual product of the marketing strategy is the IBE (Unimed Porto Alegre well-being index), that drives the communication and relationship actions of the Cooperative for both customers and doctors.
