This thesis analyzes the school access differentials to the residents in Minas Gerais in 1991, separated in three groups, in accord to the migration status: natural, old migrant and recent migrant; of five different areas, defined by the Migration Net Ratio of the enumeration county. The appliance of Philip Fletcher???s ???PROFLUXO Model???, using the Demographic Census of 1991 microdata, determines the efficiency of school access. The thesis tried to answer three questions: how do the school access work in different groups of different areas; what can be said of the migratory phenomenon, by the educational characteristics of the three groups; how does the PROFLUXO Model work in desegregated areas. / Educa????o

Methods: A total of 8 essential hypertensive (H) and 8 normotensive participants (N) (age: 46.5 ? 1.3 and 45.6 ? 1.4 years, BMI: 25.8 ? 0.8 and 25.6 ? 0.6 kg/m2, mean arterial pressure: 98.0 ? 2.8 and 86.0 ? 2.3 mmHg, respectively) remained in the environmental chamber (38 ?C and 60 % relative humidity) for 2 hours and 30 minutes (30 min at rest, 1 h of treadmill exercise at 50 % of VO2max and 1 h at rest during recovery exercise). Skin and core temperatures, heart rate and blood pressure were measured. Calculations of heat production, heat storage, mean body temperature, heat exchange by radiation, convection and evaporated sweat were performed from the collected variables. Results: The mean blood pressure of the hypertensive subjects was higher than of the normotensive participants throughout the experimental protocol (p < 0.05). Although the thermoregulatory parameters evaluated did not differ between groups at rest and during exercise, the hypertensive subjects had lower amounts of heat storage (H: -24.23 ? 3.39 W/m?, N: -13.63 ? 2,2.4 W/m?, p = 0.03), greater variations in body temperature (H: -0.62 ? 0.05 ?C, N: -0.35? 0.12 ?C, p = 0.03), and a greater amount of evaporated sweat (H: -106.1 ? 4.59 W/m?, N: -91.15 ? 3.24 W/m?, p = 0.01) during the recovery period. Furthermore, the amount of evaporated sweat correlated with heat storage (r = -0.82; p < 0.001) and with the variation in mean body temperature during the recovery period (r = -0.82; p < 0.001). Conclusion: Essential hypertensive participants present with improved sweat evaporation and greater heat dissipation and body cooling during recovery from moderate-intensity exercise performed in the heat. / Disserta??o (Mestrado) ? Thus, it is believed that hypertensive individuals have an enhanced response of heat dissipation, especially during recovery from moderate-intensity exercise performed under heat stress conditions. / Disserta??o (Mestrado) ? The experiment was conducted at the Fazenda Experimental Moura, located in the municipality of Curvelo , Minas Gerais. Both grazing strategies evaluated (fixed days and 95% IL), consisted of nine paddocks of approximately 3000 m?, in which the animals were housed by the method of intermittent stocking. Eight cows lactating animals as test in four cycles of pasture. The chromic oxide was used as an external and internal indicator. It was used insoluble fiber, indigestible acid detergent (FDAi) and indigestible neutral detergent fiber (INDF) to determine the consumption of the MS fodder. For this we used samples of pasture intake (ruminal extrusa and simulated grazing). For evaluation of milk production was used in Change-over design , with effect from periods and for dry matter intake was used completely randomized design in a factorial 2 x 3 x 4, two grazing strategies, three days of occupation and four replicates (animals). Management strategies influenced the availability of herbage mass pre -grazing, with averages of 715.6 and 566.4 kg DM/ha for 95 % IL and DF, respectively. This difference between treatments was obtained without the average duration of the cycles were affected, 27.3 and 27 days for IL and DF, respectively, a fact which provided the increase of 26.3 % in forage availability only strategy grazing which advocates the physiological aspects of the plant to harvest. The increase in forage production treatment based on 95 % of IL compared to DF treatment resulted in 11.4% increase in stocking rate (4.14 and 3.72 AU/ha, respectively). The production of individual cows and individual production for 3.5 % fat were not affected by grazing strategies. The milk production per unit area (kg/ha/day) was higher (P < 0.05) for IL management, which had 55.75 kg compared to DF management with 49.44. The forage intake was not altered by grazing strategies .The strategy grazing 95 % of IL provided higher stocking rate and higher milk yield per day of occupation in area. One day of paddock occupation alter the dry matter intake and milk production corrected to 3.5 % fat.

The work showed that, the subjects concepts are not made up of a single trend, but by a set of trends that lead us to infer that the concept of completeness is confused, but with a strong trend towards a more humanist design in shaping the physical therapist, in this institution.

Disserta??o (Mestrado Profissional) ? Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Sa?de, Sociedade e Ambiente, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2013. / ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to analyze the process of inclusion and/or exclusion of the black students in UFVJM, Campus Diamantina/ MG, the courses of health, according to the perspective of students themselves in study, by means of his concepts, experiences and social representations, with the aim to better understand this process. In view of the foregoing, the underlying problem that presents itself lacking in discussions, can be synthesized in the following issues: once that did not have a system of racial quotas - which occurs only in the year of 2013 - the UFVJM managed to ensure the inclusion of educational black descending and socially disadvantaged? Although: in cases of inclusion to this ethnic group, the institution proved to be concerned to pay attention to the permanence of the learners blacks students in courses, through opportunities and scholarships which are expressed in higher chances of inclusion? To answer these questions, it was necessary to analyze of the interviews directed at students who are studying the last two semesters of school courses health, aiming to cover a course academics in tracks to be realized. The specific objectives of this study are: to perform a theoretical about Brazilian slavery past and ideologies to point the roots of racial discrimination and prejudice, as well as point data and statistics relating to black in Brazil, confirming its status as a disadvantage compared other ethnic groups in the country; outline the profile of the institution under examination, under the aspect inclusive and present evidence showing the limitations, challenges and barriers they face to enter and remain in UFVJM. Methodologically, this descriptive and exploratory research, basic quantitative and qualitative, come two ways: first, a bibliographic survey on topics related to the black descending in Brazil, and subsequently, for the identification of obstacles and possibilities the inclusion and to the preparation and / or indication of suggestions that aim to optimize the process of inclusion of black descending, proved to be urgent listen to the trajectory of their own subjects who reached the higher education, and this will be a part of the qualitative research, with collection of data through interview and discussion of data collected second theorists who devote themselves to the theme and relate the topics prejudice, social determinants and health problems, orienting, the present study, as well as shall be considered the concepts of social representations, which will be permitted the analysis of interviews, identifying-if such representations in the testimonies of black students. The local data collected were crossed with national statistics, the IPEA and the IBGE. The hypothesis of this study is that, in the context in analysis, as also happens in large part of country, the black descending for historical reasons, economic, social and cultural, still remains excluded from existing opportunities. Justify the choice of this theme the need to have in education, door partial, however important, access to the inclusion and for the social participation of black social, cultural and historically segregated in the country, based on, among other arguments, that the exclusion situations are crucial to the health status of individuals. In order to satisfy an interdisciplinary perspective, this research assumes that the problem of the inclusion of black descending, by its complexity, requires a dialog or interface with education, health, history, legislation, public policies and other areas of knowledge, as well as involvement of different social subjects in the discussion and commitment of efforts by the implementation of inclusion. The obtained results indicate that the students of UFVJM consider the institution inclusive, although complying with a small number of students in their dependencies, which seems contradictory. This study also indicates that some students are contrary to the system of racial quotas, reproducing, sometimes the discourse of the elite,

Disserta??o (Mestrado) ? The experiment was accomplished on JK campus of UFVJM, Diamantina/MG, in the period between June and September of 2008. The experimental design was a randomized block with split plot with three blocks and five fertilization of soil: NPK + manure, fertilizer, manure, organic compost, vermicompost and five doses of nitrogen in coverage, considering that the experimental plot was composed of sixteen plants spaced by 0.30 m x 0.30 m. The dry and fresh weight, head diameter, leaf number, plant height, canonical variable and foliar contents of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, B, Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn were evaluated. The growth variables were affected by the type of soil fertilization and N rates applied in coverage. The manuring was the one that provided the best results for the evaluated growth features, followed by fertilization with NPK+manure and vermicompost. For the lettuce cultivation in the region of Diamantina/MG, it is recommended to apply 160 kg.ha-1 N in coverage. The vermicomposting process reduced the B, Cu, Fe and Mn content in lettuce weights. The nutrient contents in lettuce plants varied according to soil fertilization and nitrogen dosage in coverage, which shows that with increasing doses of N, there was an increase in the analyzed foliar nutrients, except for the B, Cu and Zn.

Disserta??o (Mestrado) ? Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Produ??o Vegetal, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2010. / ABSTRACT This work aimed to identify the effects promoted by the management of green manure in pre-cultivation with C. juncea, using doses of manure, on the performance of corn cultivation. The experiment was carried out at the Agricultural Family School of Virgem da Lapa, in the town of Virgem da Lapa-MG from December, 2008 to June, 2009. A randomized trial of "randomized block", with four replications, with treatments corresponding to pre-cultivation with crotalaria and six doses of manure and a control (resting). The crotalaria was submitted pre-cultivation. Before the implementation of the experiment, with the cultivation of crotalaria, one manual weeding and liming was done. After 99 days, with the rustle of crotalaria and spontaneous vegetation, corn was implanted. The cattle manure were applied with 50% at planting and 50% at coverage. The green manure was quantified in the fresh and dry matter (t ha-1), as well as composition in macronutrients. It was estimated the contribution of crotalaria biomass in moisture retention of soil, soil temperature, the smoother ability of weeds, and determined the composition of macronutrients. The corn crop was harvested in green stage carrying the evaluations: number of leaves, plant height and ear height (m) length and ear diameter (cm), fresh and dry matter accumulation (t ha-1) in corn, beans, starw and cob, and productivity (number of ears ha-1). The contents of macronutrients and accumulation (kg ha-1) in the shoots of maize. The crotalaria showed great potential for green manure, with accumulation of dry weight and nutrients. Areas covered with crotalaria waste showed higher water retention of soil and reduction in temperature along its profile. The presence of the dry mass of crotalaria decreased the growth of weeds with 76.13% less dry mass accumulated during the entire crop cycle, there were changes in floristic composition of the areas and also a reduction in the number of species, with six species less than in the culture of land fallow. The crotalaria, irrespective of the manure dose applied, influenced plant growth and production of corn, promoting the highest plant height and ear height, increased number of leaves, values of fresh and dry mass for whole plants, grain, straw and cob. The same was observed for the production parameters of diameter, length and yield of corn cobs in the green stage. Corn plants grown in areas pre-cultured with crotalaria showed higher values for the levels of N and P. In general, the biomass of crotalaria pre-grown with corn has met the requirements of culture, demonstrating the potential to replace the use of manure as an alternative fertilizer.

As esp?cies apresentam comportamento fenol?gico semelhante quanto ?s ?pocas e dura??o das fenofases. / Disserta??o (Mestrado) ? Diamantina ? MG is considered the highest polo of extraction and commercialization of everlasting flowers, being it the more important source of income for many families. This situation generated predatory collection of species that are nowadays threatened of extinction, causing the prohibition of exporting. This study used an experimental area in order to evaluate three everlasting species: S. elegans, S. venustus and S. bisulcatus. Species showed similar phenological behaviour relating to times and stages. Up to December they showed high vegetative growth, the month when scapes production is initiated. Capitula under anthesis occurred at the second fifteen days to S. bisulcatus, and in March to the other species. Between April and May fructification started to three species, being noticed the presence of immature seeds in May. At this time, collection happens in order to commercialize, having a negative impact on new individual recruitment. This study aimed also to develop methodologies to compare and define sampling methods to provide production evaluation in areas of everlasting flowers. Results seem preliminar, however, using parcels of 60 or 100m2 and post-stratification are efficient on sampling at S. elegans fields.

Disserta??o (Mestrado) ? Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Produ??o Vegetal, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2009. / ABSTRACT The physic nut has been shown as a native oleaginous with important characteristics for oil extraction to the production of biodiesel in areas with low rainfall and low nutrient content in soil. However, little attention was given to its culture, which only in recent years has been studied, leaving a wide range of information in open, as their nutritional limitations and distribution of nutrients. The objectives of this work were (a) assess the nutritional limitations on physic nut seedling growth in tipic Ortic Quartzarenic Neossol and (b) assess the nutritional requirements of physic nut seedlings under omission, accumulation and distribution of nutrients in different parts of the plant. The experiments were carried out in greenhouse at the Agronomy Departament of UFVJM (Diamantina-MG). The first experiment used the physic nut seedlings, which was cultivated in pots with Quartzarenic Neossol under the following treatments: a complete treatment (fertilized with N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, B and Zn), a control one (natural soil) and the absence of those nutrients per pot treatment, prepared in a completely randomized design with five repetitions. Plant height, stem diameter, dry weight mass of shoot and roots and content of macro and micronutrients in dry matter shoots were evaluated after 100 days. The second was the experimental design completely randomized, with four replications and nine treatments. The treatments consisted of a complete nutritive solution and with omission of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, B and Zn, using the missing element technique. Dry matter of the leaf blade, of the petiole, of the complete leaf (leaf blade + petiole), of the stem, of the shoot and of the roots and the nutrient content in dry matter of each parts of the physic nut seedlings were evaluated after 100 days. By the results, can be concluded: (1) all nutrients were limiting for the physic nut seedlings growth in Quartzarenic Neossol, except for the N, and the nutritional limitation was P, Mg, Zn, Ca, K, S, B and N; (2) the physic nut was highly demanding for all nutrients in the growth phase and (3) the total accumulation of macronutrients and micronutrients in descending order: N>K>Ca>P>Mg>S and Fe>Cu>Mn>B>Zn, respectively, with bigger accumulation in the complete leaf, occurring an inversion of bigger accumulation between N and K for macronutrientes and Fe and Cu for micronutrients in the stem of the physic nut seedlings.
