The OD strategy of the green organization

Chuang, Chia-hsin 18 August 2010 (has links)
There was the Financial Tsunami in 2008. It made many organizations to think about how to sustain business. Therefore, the IT(Information Technical) industries will be replace by Energy Technical industries. Organizations must face the new environment and rethink new business model, renew and change form organizations inside and outside. In organizations area, organizations will apply some behavior science method to change to affect the values, attitudes or behaviors of employees, then reach the purpose of organization potential development. For live and reach goal, organizations must adjust flexibly to suit outside environment. Meanwhile, to keep the inside be stable and avoid to disintegrating and deco by using change activities. Between the forces of suit and sustain, the topic of how to strongly to grow up for organizations is getting important. OD (Organization Development) certainly provide managers and members a series tools to reach goal. Especially managers in this moment must manage change. OD is a good choose for managing change. Organization greening will be the trend in the big environment. It is a important topic for organizations to manage change and make a good OD plan. The investigation via documents discussing and case study, visit seven organizations to talk, the finding as following: A. In OD strategies, the change agent and intervene technical variety can increase the purpose of OD. B. The technical industries need more different change agents and intervene skills then traditional industries due to their complex greening strategies. C. Set green vision or green mission and announce to public is a good idea to make green OD strategies process smoothly. They can make members to build green values and attitude then further to change their behaviors. D. Technical industries use committees to be change agent due to they have more complex greening scope then traditional industries. Technical industries focus the system oriented and culture oriented both. E. If OD strategies contain extend original products scope, using activities investigate technical is a good chooses. F. When designing intervene technical, having guided activities will have the best result for changing behaviors of members. G. It can help processing greening organizations if organizations have the base of CSR.

EstimaÃÃo SintÃtica de Matrizes Origem/Destino a partir de Contagens VolumÃtricas em Ãreas com Controle do TrÃfego em Tempo Real com o AuxÃlio do QueensOD / SYNTHETIC ESTIMATION OF ORIGIN/DESTINATION MATRICES BASED ON TRAFFIC COUNTS IN AREAS WITH REAL-TIME TRAFFIC CONTROL USINGQUEENSOD

Dante Diego de Moraes Rosado e Souza 31 July 2007 (has links)
nÃo hà / Since 2000, Fortaleza has a modern urban traffic control system (CTAFOR) that, although efficiently reaching its operational objectives in controlling the urban traffic, does not solve all the congestion problems on the network. One way of improving the performance of such a system would be to gather precise information about the travel behavior within the area under control, allowing real time actions and characterizing CTAFOR as a real Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). In such a context, the main objective of this research was to estimate motorized person trips patterns in an area within a region under control of Fortalezaâs UTC system, using a synthetic OD matrix estimation model which is based in traffic flow volumes, running on QueensOD software. As a first step, it was defined the area for the case study, that would be representative of the whole region controlled by CTAFOR,in which this model was applied with the objective of gaining a better understanding and experience in its use. After defining the study area, it was developed the step of calibrating the estimation model regarding the error criteria used to calculate the differences between estimated and observed trip demands, as well as estimated and observed traffic flows. This step was followed by a sensitivity analysis on the estimation results due to the variation in the quality of the input data (OD seed matrix and traffic volumes) and an analysis of the variability of the demand. As the main conclusions, it can be pointed out that the information provided by CTAFOR alone are not enough to estimate good quality OD matrices, requiring good OD seed matrices. Therefore, if one wants to estimate matrices for different periods of the day, it is necessary to collect sample OD matrices directly in the field for each time period, since the use of a seed OD matrix redefines the structure of the OD matrix to be estimated / Desde 2000, Fortaleza dispÃe de um moderno sistema de controle de trÃfego em Ãrea (CTAFOR) que, apesar de eficaz no controle operacional do trÃfego urbano, nÃo soluciona definitivamente os problemas de congestionamento da rede.

Ambrůzová, Kateřina January 2017 (has links)
The aim of this master thesis is to suggest measures, which could eliminate the illegal use mineral oils exempted from excise duty. At first, these oils are identified in the work, and with using market analysis are detected, if they could be used illegally. These commodities are with CN 2710 19 91 to 99, waste oils and Fatty acid methyl ester/Rapessed oil methyl esters. It is also tested on data from statistical office, whether the abuse is actually occurring. The last part of the thesis is devoted to suggestions of measures, which should lead to the reduction of tax evasion on excise duty. Measures are designed separately for each of the identified commodities, tak-ing into account the fact whether the problem is a national or international.

Dynamic OD Estimation with Bluetooth Data Using Kalman Filter

Murari, Sudeeksha 19 September 2012 (has links)
Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) and Advanced Traveler Information Systems (ATIS) utilize real-time information to apply measures improve the transportation system performance. Two key inputs for ATMS and ATIS are dynamic travel times and dynamic OD matrices. Bluetooth devices detection technology has been increasingly used to track vehicle movements on the network. This possibility naturally raises the question of whether this information can be used to improve the dynamic estimation of OD matrices. Previous research efforts rely entirely on the Bluetooth OD counts for estimation, which is why they require high penetration rates. In our study, we use Bluetooth data to supplement loop detector data while estimating dynamic OD matrices using Kalman filter. We use OD proportions as state variables and travel times, link counts, Bluetooth OD matrix and input and exit volumes as measurements. A simulation experiment is conducted in VISSIM and is designed such that the traffic network emulates the observed traffic patterns. Two case studies are performed for comparison. One uses Bluetooth OD matrices as input for estimation while the other does not. The Bluetooth ODs used in the Kalman filter estimation was found to improve the OD flow estimates. The developed methods were compared with synthetic OD estimation software (QueensOD) and were found to be more effective in obtaining dynamic OD flow estimates. A case of study with fewer detectors was also studied. When it was compared with a similar method developed by Gharat(2011), the errors were lower. / Master of Science

Terezie od Ježíše: Hrad v nitru / Teresa of Jesus: Interior Castle

Kutarňová, Kateřina January 2011 (has links)
Teresa of Jesus: Interior Castle Kateřina Kutarňová Diploma thesis Abstract This thesis seeks to understand the most important text of Teresa of Jesus -'Interior Castle' which is considered one of the most important books of Spanish mysticism. This understanding should be achieved by using both theological and phenomenologico- hermenutical commentaries. The main topics of this thesis are religious and mystical experience, mystical transformation and intersubjectivity. Motivated by the possibility of gaining the understanding of the text as a whole, I firstly try to present the meaning of particular chapters. The Interior Castle leads from incorrect/false understanding (of one's self, reality and God) to the right or true one. This true understanding is made possible by reaching the mystical marriage between God and man based on full and conscious living of their mutual, intersubjective relationship. The reaching of mystical intersubjectivity provides the possibility of transgressing from knowing the reality as it appears to be to knowing the reality as it is. Public transport origin-destination matrices: pattern recognition and short-term prediction / Origin-destination matriser i kollektivtrafiken: Mönsterigenkänning och kortsiktiga prognoser

Ferranti, Francesco January 2020 (has links)
Origin-Destination (OD) matrices are an essential tool in transport planning and management to model user travel patterns. An OD matrix is a picture of the public transport passengers demand in a specific temporal window The use of the metropolitan transportation system as an alternative to private cars enables a decrease of CO2 emissions, air pollution and traffic noise. Public opinion and governments are giving more and more attention to these environmental issues. The overtaking of the public transports on private means of transportation is one of our best weapons to fight global warming. Efficiency is particularly important when we analyse the passenger behaviour in the transport networks of large cities. There we deal with large and growing populations, and it is required a methodical response to the transport system critical events, like congestion of the network during the peak hours. Recently, modern technologies and data driven initiatives enabled large-scale data collection of travel patterns. In particular, smart card validation data can now be stored and used for evaluation and planning purposes. From these data, anonymous spatio-temporal travel patterns can be revealed and studied, and OD matrices with various aggregation levels can be easily generated. With this work, we gather different techniques used in the practice, and propose a methodological framework for the study of large-scale OD matrices. We focus our attention on the use of dimensionality reduction techniques (Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Singular Value Decomposition (SVD)), day clustering algorithms (K-Means, Affinity Propagation), and short-term flow prediction models (Vector Autoregression (VAR), Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA)) on the public transport usage data. Our case study considers the OD matrices for the whole metro and commuter train network in the region of Stockholm, Sweden. With this thesis, we want to reveal and discuss the potential of day clustering methods to detect trends of the passenger flows, and their combination with dimensionality reduction techniques to perform short-term prediction of the flows.

A Stochastic Programming Method for OD Estimation Using LBSN Check-in Data

Lu, Qing-Long, Qurashi, Moeid, Antoniou, Constantinos 23 June 2023 (has links)
Dynamic OD estimators based on traffic measurements inevitably encounter the indeterminateness problem on the posterior OD flows as such systems structurally have more unknowns than constraints. To resolve this problem and take advantage of the emerging urban mobility data, the paper proposes a dynamic OD estimator based on location-based social networking (LBSN) data, leveraging the two-stage stochastic programming framework, under the assumption that similar check-in patterns are generated by the same OD pattern. The search space of the OD flows will be limited by integrating a batch of realizations/scenarios of the second-stage problem state (i.e. check-in pattern) in the model. The two-stage stochastic programming model decomposes in a master problem and a set of subproblems (one per scenario) via the Benders decomposition algorithm, which will be tackled alternately. The preliminary results from experiments conducted with the Foursquare data of Tokyo, Japan, show that the proposed OD estimator can effectively recurrent the check-in patterns and result in a good posterior OD estimate.
