Lindsjö, Anton January 2016 (has links)
Även deras roller i musikskapandet påverkades.

Högström, Christian, Remes, Tobias January 2013 (has links)

Mediated activity and the role of technology in peer-to-peer learning at the University of Fort Hare

Olivier, Joy January 2010 (has links)
Includes bibliographical references. / The following calls for research into the ways in which South African university students use technology for peer-to-peer learning (Czerniewicz and Brown, 2005). This study aims to explore the ways in which students mediate one another's learning and the ways in which they use (and don't use) information and communications technology (ICT) to do so. This study provides a snapshot of eleven University of Fort Hare students' peer-to-peer learning strategies. In exploring this phenomenon in context, the social and cultural factors are analysed using Activity Theory, most notably building on the work of Sharples et al (2007). Semi-structured interviews were conducted with students identified as early adopters of ICT for peer-to-peer learning, selected from 375 respondents to the Access and Use Survey questionnaire (Czerniewicz and Brown, 2007). An analytical framework was developed using categories developed from high-level Activity Theory concepts. Sub-categories were developed using key concepts from Sharples, Taylor and Vavoula (2007), Laurillard's (2003) work, as well as, inductively and deductively in relation to the data, following Hardman's (2008) approach. Three key peer-to-peer learning patterns were identified: A group of students preparing for an exam or a test were found to adopt cooperative learning strategies, while students working together towards a tangible output, such as an assignment, adopted collaborative learning strategies. Peer-to-peer tutoring was found to occur where one student is assisted by a moreable peer. Most interviewees' peer-to-peer learning activities were found to occur face-to-face, and the extent and level of interviewees' ICT use was less than anticipated. The findings are not generalisable beyond this small sample, but serve to advance understanding of the processes involved in students' peer-to-peer learning practices.

A Model of Peer Learning Incorporating Scaffolding Strategies

Chun, Jeeyoung 03 June 2020 (has links)
Peer learning is a learning strategy that enables learners to interact with others and become active participants in their learning. To design peer learning activities, a model of peer learning is necessary to provide peers with guidance. However, previous models related to peer learning have not contained systematic strategies from diagnosis to evaluation. Scaffolding is an appropriate tactic for peer learning as it includes diagnosis, specific learning strategies, and assessment procedures. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to develop and validate a model of peer learning that incorporates scaffolding strategies in order to provide a structure for designing and implementing effective peer learning, and to enhance peers' teaching skills and learners' capability to gain new knowledge. This study drew from design and development research, including model development and model revision. This process was arranged in four phases. The first phase comprised of an intensive literature review to identify related theories, the conceptualization of scaffolding, and the operationalization of scaffolding. In the second phase, the model of peer learning was developed based on the results of the literature review. The model was synthesized using the data from the literature review, which included the main elements and characteristics of scaffolding suitable for peer learning. An online education program was also developed to teach the steps in the model to peer tutors participating in a peer tutoring program, which is one type of peer learning, for the purposes of model validation. In the third phase, model validation through internal (expert review) and external (external validation interview for field evaluation) validation was implemented. Based on the outcomes of these model validation processes, in the fourth phase, guidelines for revisions were developed to improve the proposed model. This model exhibits a synthesis of scaffolding strategies that enhance peer learning, including related theories, the conceptualization of scaffolding, and the operationalization of scaffolding. This model consists of four steps: (a) knowing each other, (b) learning together, (c) checking what you learned, and (d) finalizing peer learning. According to the results of model validation using an online education program designed for peer tutors participating in a peer tutoring program, which is one type of peer learning, this model of peer learning was useful for peers in providing structure and guidance for the design of their peer learning activities and the selection of appropriate peer learning strategies for learners who had different backgrounds and skills. This model is also applicable to various subjects and fields. / Doctor of Philosophy / Peer learning is a learning strategy that enables learners to interact with others and become active participants in their learning.

Grönroos, Cecilia January 2013 (has links)
There is an increasing need for placements in the clinical education of the nursing education. The purpose of this intervention study is to identify nursing students’ satisfaction with the learning environment and the supervision in two different supervision models. The intervention group (IG) is supervised in pairs by a tutor in a student ward, so called peer learning, and the control group (KG) is supervised according to a traditional supervision model. A validated questionnaire, CLES + T (Clinical Learning Environment, Supervision and Nurse Teacher evaluation scale) was used for data collection. Data (N = 247) were collected from nursing students in term 3 and 4 attending Ersta Sköndal högskola during three terms (spring 2011-spring 2012). The results show that both groups are generally satisfied with the learning environment and the supervision. IG is experiencing a greater satisfaction with the learning environment than KG. KG generally experience greater satisfaction in the relationship with the supervisor and received individual supervision to a greater extent than IG.

"Matematiklyftet", what happened next? : A study on a teacher team’s assesment work after participating in ”Matematiklyftet”.

Wilhelm, Anna January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to investigate how a teacher team's prospects and perceptions of peer learning and formative assessment has influenced their teaching after taking part in “Matematiklyftet”. The teacher team and their principal have been interviewed and an analysis of the texts concerning formative assessment from two modules in “Matematiklyftet” has been made to answer the purpose. During “Matematiklyftet” the teacher team has been given opportunities to try different methods to work with formative assessment in their teaching and they got an interest for some of them that they continued to use after the end of “Matematiklyftet”. They have discovered a link between assessment and teaching, that they need not be seen as two distinct parts that collide with each other, but rather that they can interact and complement each other. The teacher team has also realized the importance of peer learning in the planning of teaching. This, by the continuous meetings where they discussed mathematics didactics and shared each other’s experience, knowledge and collaborated with lesson planning and then discovered the benefits of helping each other. With the help of the principal’s support and the dedication from the leader of the discussion-group, which in my study proved to be critical success factors, the teacher team has been given opportunities to discuss and practice work methods, tools and point of views based on research articles during “Matematiklyftet”. Through this experience, both the principal and the teachers have realized the importance of continually work with peer learning to enhance mathematics teaching quality. Based on this, and the principal’s vision for how to continue the teachers peer learning after “Matematiklyftet”, the teacher team has been given opportunities to continue to work on formative assessment in mathematics education through peer learning.

"We'd go crazy without each other!" : En studie om kollegialt lärande på arbetsplatsen

Eriksson, Johanna, Isaksson, Carl January 2015 (has links)
This study means to research the importance and significance of the social and informal learning opportunities offered at a workplace. With Wenger’s theory about social learning and communities of practice as a starting point, this study will create understanding about how teachers at a school comprehend their opportunities for learning within the teacher community. The study is conducted at an independent school in Sweden, and is based on interviews with eight of the teachers employed at the school. The purpose of the study was to research how employees perceive how their social interactions with their colleagues can create learning, and what obstacles they might face along the way. Our results showed that the teachers at this workplace found that most of the learning that took place in their everyday worklife was performed in an informal and social way with lots of helping each other out and social interactions between the colleagues.

Barns kommunikation under bildskapande aktiviteter : En kvalitativ studie om barns kommunikation och samspel under gemensamma bildskapande aktiviteter på fritidshemmet / Childrens communication during creation of pictures : A qualitative study on childrens communication and interaction during common creation of pictures in the after-school programs

Carlqvist, Hanna, Skoog, Hanna January 2017 (has links)

Peer learning under specialistsjuksköterskeutbildningen inom intensivvård : - ett handledarperspektiv / Peer Learning in the postgraduate nursing education in critical care : - perspectives of preceptors

Axelsson, Pia, Rajkovic, Charlott January 2015 (has links)
Peer learning is a precepting method that clarifies the link between theoretical knowledge and practical skills, and at the same time enables more students to be offered placement for clinical education. Therefore, it would be of interest to explore if the precepting strategy can be appropriate in the postgraduate nursing education in critical care. The purpose of the study was to explore peer learning as a precepting method in the postgraduate nursing education in critical care in preceptors’ point of view. The study was conducted by a focus group interview with a descriptive design with an inductive approach and data was analysed with manifest content analysis. The study revealed six categories and four subcategories. The interaction between the students was considered to develop the ability of communication and cooperation. The students could build on their former knowledge, considered as equals, and went from an inhibitive role as students. The patient and the relatives were not perceived to resent the student reasoning, they rather expressed they learned from it. The unique way to preserve students' knowledge and skills led to an early development of their already existing knowledge. The early training in communication and cooperation can be considered beneficial because deficiencies in these areas generate the most common incidents in healthcare today. The conclusion is that peer learning can be applied as a precepting method in the postgraduate nursing education in critical care. Further research of peer learning in postgraduate nursing educations is needed and also how the patient and family members experience the students' reasoning, are of great interest.
