No. of bitstreams: 1 lizandra.pdf: 2404732 bytes, checksum: 8d16ebd68b14e93c9f56b59784450e12 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2011-03-18 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This thesis seeks to identify the manifestations of the samba in Florianopolis, Santa Catarina, from leisure and entertainment available in this city in the 1930s, which is a period when the capital of Santa Catarina has not had effective access to radio and industry music, which, in turn, have established themselves in cities like Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. Identifying these events, we can see the influences and characteristics in relation to urban musicality that is set in the Federal Capital, where the local folk music has found a place among the populations most economically advantaged and the same scenario that dominated the artistic and intellectual in the same period, it is also where the samba is no longer a ethnic, folk and marginalized manifestation but to become a class of goods and a means of spreading cultural policies guided by a nationalist discourse. This is an interesting topic to think about how this process culminated in the role and spaces delegates to the samba at the moment, among the musicians and communities of Santa Catarina samba, which promotes and maintains under the discourse of the traditions, making the object reflections relevant to the story of our time / A presente dissertação procura identificar as manifestações do samba em Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, a partir dos espaços de lazer e entretenimento existentes nesta cidade na década de 1930, que é um período em que a capital catarinense ainda não possuía efetivo acesso à radiodifusão e à indústria fonográfica, que, por sua vez, já se estabeleciam em cidades como Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo.

Entre vilões e mocinhos: o software livre no contexto das Américas / Between good guys and villains: the free software in the context of the Americas

Rafael Yamin Ronzani 25 March 2011 (has links)
The present work performs an analysis of the free software movement, an important movement worldwide developed to overcome the barriers imposed to the knowledge flow by the idea private property. Our focus is not the fight between the two software technology forms, free and proprietary, but to understand in a better way the dynamic of the movement created by Richard Stallman. Thus, the purpose is to show that, despite its globality, the free software is not received and developed the same way, on the contrary, in every country it is recreated from the practices and political conceptions about the technology role for the social and economical development. In order to justify our hypothesis, we chose to analyze Latin America, a continent which saw in the free software, by means of its governors, a tool capable of providing the development and even the national independence before the developed countries. As an analysis counterpoint, we also approached the free technology impact, that is, the open source, in the informational society icon country, the United States, where the private companies (especially Apple and Google) and the universities trigger the technological development and innovation. In the analytical confrontation between the state vs. private or free x open development power, the private/open junction has been more assertive at a third software production means, which we call \"hybrid\" - half closed, half open. Such hybrid software seems to be the model which will keep the hegemonic countries in the technological race leadership.

Nové církevní zákony z roku 1949 / The new ecclesial laws in 1949

Futera, Stanislav January 2014 (has links)
The topic of the thesis are so-called "new ecclesiastical laws" accepted in 1949, that had served as one of the power tools for the oppression of the Churches and the control over the society. Within the chapters in sequence I deal with the description and genesis of these new ecclesiastical laws, received by Czechoslovak communist regime in 1949 and their importance not only for the confessional law of the following period until now. In this context I ask the question what are the extent effects not only for the life of the Churches, esp. the Catholic Church, but also for the mentality of the contemporary Czech society in relationship with the Church. This thesis is concerned with three spheres that are necessarily interconnected: First, the legislation of these laws themselves, second, the social reception of the Church interlinked with these laws, and third sphere is also the projection of these laws into the political rhetoric nowadays. The goal of the thesis is to reveal the deep interconnection and dynamics of the three spheres given, and explore how the way they were manifested in the past, and have consequently been manifested until these days. Keywords Czechoslovakia, 1949, ecclesiastical laws, the power and the law, present time: law, society and politics.

Narrative strategies in selected Amharic novels from 2000 until 2010

Demeke Tassew Dires 06 1900 (has links)
The aim of this research entitled Narrative Strategies in Selected Amharic Novels from 2000 until 2010 was to shed light on the relationship among form, meaning (content) and social milieuin establishing the textual and contextual features of fictional narratives. It mainly contends that it is possible to unravel the textual and contextual qualities of fictional narratives by studying form as a narrative strategy. In this research, form, when understood as a narrative strategy, is not only considered as a textual construct which motivates textual meaning but also regarded as a product of the social milieu from which the text emerges. Having this conception, form as a narrative strategy is investigated in selected Amharic novels published from 2000 until 2010 in view of expounding the artistic and thematic features of contemporary Amharic novels, endeavouring to fill the knowledge gap in Amharic literary scholarship about their literary features. The present research applies narratological approaches that range from classical to post-classical narratology. However, it dominantly uses post-classical conceptions of narratology as guidelines for its discussion. The dissertation comprises six chapters. The first one is an introductory chapter in which the research problems, goals and assumptions are explicated. Chapter two deals with the theoretical framework where the theoretical insight the research utilizes as a guideline is outlined and methodological issues are specified. The following three chapters focus on the analysis. In the third chapter, story is investigated as a narrative strategy in Yeburqa Zemeta (Burka’s Silence) (2000); in the fourth one, focalization is treated as a narrative strategy in Gerač.a Qač.eloč (Grey Bells) (2005), and in the fifth chapter, characterization is studied as a narrative strategy in Dèrtogada (Dertogada) (2010). The dissertation concludes with a chapter in which independent findings in the three analysis chapters are summed up and generalizations on the textual and contextual features of the present day Amharic novels are made. / Afrikaans & Theory of Literature / D. De bortglömda stenarna : om byars äldre gränsmarkeringar och rågångar i Ekeberga socken / Forgotten stones : about hamlets´ older boundery markers and boundery lines in Ekeberga parish

Kusel, Holger January 2012 (has links)
This essay is about the hamlets´ older boundaries, i.e. boundary lines (“rågångar”) and boundary markers in the form of rocks, and an own survey of two hamlet boundaries in southeast Sweden. Many of the boundary rocks were subjected to unintentional damage or destruction that arose during forestry activities, the excavation of ditches, or road construction. Boundaries between hamlets sparsely populated areas were not clearly defined from the beginning, but were established initially in the form of boundary zones, that often consisted of wetlands, watercourses, or mountain heights. These areas were utilized collectively by neighbouring hamlets. The first boundary markers in the survey area appeared in the beginning of the Middle Ages, and were composed of natural rock formations, which were characterized by placing three loose stones on a large ground anchored stone. Unequivocally hamlet boundaries were first created by land surveyors during the 1800th century up until the early 1900th century. Following written instructions, land surveyors built specialized stone formations to serve as boundaries and placed them along a line at regular intervals, five stones in a row. The land surveyor recorded all of the boundary lines and drew an accompanying map of the area. My inventory showed that almost two thirds of all the boundary markers recorded by land surveyors were missing or damaged. The markers that remained were easily located with the help of GPS, because the distances between the boundary markers were consistent with the recorded values.

ABSTRACT The action that drives this research is the concept of the experienced knowledge amount and the curricular insurgencies as an ethnocurriculum establishing in the existencial plots in heterogeneous formation and with mediations of various fields of existence in their space/time of “belonging”. As an effort of understanding of contemporary defined as liquid existence. I tensioned cultural pedagogy interpellation of present time that causes a kind of formation to the consumerism of cultural meanings and epistemologies that include and exclude trying to shape what we have been in the contingencies. As escape routes and misrule of the aggregation of the society of control, the curriculum when forged is articulated in theoretical production pos-critique with the power of ethnomethods from those who interacted in this research process with their narratives establishing multicentered epistemology in experiential knowledge and knowledge. I made a choice on the qualitative approach and I used the critical multireferential and involved ethnoresearch producing thus a social compromised science and new social rationalities in multiplicity of “knowledges”. The survey answers how the educators reflect about the experienced knowledge amount and curricular insurgencies for interactions with the cultural pedagogies of the present time as ethnocurriculum former vibrations because they assign sense policies to their ethnomethods as practices of non – adherence and consumerism escape of hegemonic meanings of liquid existence. This study intended to understand/make clear as such educators involved with high school segment and education for youth and adults are forging this form of “live curriculum” disarranging education in contingencies of space/time. It rendered problematic subject producing subjectification and forged truth in engendering these cultural pedagogies creating possibilities of school becomes the ethnocurriculum profusion. Finally, this research has configured the experienced knowledge amount and curricular insurgencies as empowerment of significant practices that cause formative “composite” rhizome extending the notion of curriculum/formation
