Úloha Německa v současném integračním procesu v Evropě / The Role of Germany in Today’s Process of Integration in Europe

Petráňová, Zuzana January 2012 (has links)
When debt crisis fully started in the Eurozone, the attention was concentrated not only on states of southern Europe in debt, but also on Germany. If we consider that Germany is the biggest economy in Europe and its policy is tightly connected with EU, the decisions of the German government are important in the process of European integration. The thesis talks about actual role of Germany in today's crisis of the Eurozone. Because of the size of the problem the thesis is concentrated on last three years and it is focused on key events, whit caused the biggest discussion. The goal of the research is to find out which role Germany plays within EU and if it becomes or has already become a regional hegemony. In the analysis was partly used the role theory and also neomramscianism, that works with the hegemony concept. Results of the research shows that Germany becomes more self confident player. Player which today leaves the strategy of restraint and takes the role of a regional leader. The question of hegemony stays open, even though Germany refuses to identify itself with this role.

The central theme of this research is to study the importance of Jacob Levy Moreno’s role theory to the bibliodrama. Considered as the art of interpreting sacred texts, the bibliodrama is approached from the theoretical conceptions of the author Anete Roese, being complemented with contributions from Esly Carvalho and Pitzele. Beginning with the delimitation of its concept, following the approach of its origin in psychodrama, its methodology and its hermeneutic function, emphasizing the role of bibliodramatist as director, coordinator and facilitator of the whole process. Because of the importance of role theory to the bibliodrama, specific topics of psychodrama that reveal the Morenian anthropological concepts will be explained: the conception of the subject as a cosmic being, his psychological development and the construction of his personality. These concepts will assist in the way of understanding bibliodramatic hermeneutic action, i.e., one that emerges from the drama. This hermeneutics is in resonance with the biblical hermeneutics proposed by Ricoeur, resuming the hermeneutics of Schleiermarcher, whose focus of interpretation is based on the psychological understanding of the subject, as it is recommended by Drewermann today. By revealing the importance of role theory as a contribution to bibliodrama, based on psychodramatic anthropology, this research, in addition to inserting the bibliodrama in the psychology of religion, also builds another possibility: it allows the bibliodrama contributions to the theory of psychodrama, through a series of reflections on its philosophical origin, i.e., a direct relationship with God. In short, this dialogical relationship of the subject, through bibliodramatc roles, with the Bible becomes an agent of transformation, instrument of the biblical message, in search of growth, both personal and professional, allowing the rescue of faith, facilitator of the encounter with God and himself.

Mezi Westbindung a Ostpolitik: Rekonceptualizace německo-ruských vztahů v letech 2014-2017 / Between Westbindung and Ostpolitik: Reconceptualising German-Russian Relations 2014-2017

Jacobs, Jonathan January 2019 (has links)
German-Russian relations have remained strong since the Cold War, despite continuing in traditions of multilateralism and integrated into the Western order. Despite recent tensions and deterioration since the Ukraine Crisis, German-Russian relations are a subject of intense debate between the political parties CDU/CSU and SPD that governed Germany in a coalition from 2014-2017. This thesis utilises a social constructivist method to focus on social factors and party-political legacies relevant in the evolving relationship. It then analyses the evolving discourse of the parties about Russia in the years 2014-2017, focusing on the different ways the discourse uses and connects with the factors and legacies. Although a parallel movement is discerned between the foreign policy positions of the CDU/CSU and SPD, the parties' positions do not converge but remain in conflict about the future of European security, cooperation with Russia and the desired foreign policy role of Germany. Throughout, the analysis suggests that contemporary theories about German-Russian relations and about Germany's foreign policy role should look at the internal debates and factors to get a more complete picture of German foreign policy.

Faour, Ahmad January 2020 (has links)
The purpose of the study was to investigate the role of the school counselor in the work against bullying. A systematic review of literature and use of content analysis were applied to answer the aims and questions of the literature study. A role-theoretical framework and research provided the basis for analysis of results. The result showed that the concept of bullying by school counselors can be interpreted differently, and thus entails a view of bullying that is ambiguous. In their explanation of how they view bullying, school counselors can start from one or more perspectives. Bullying can be viewed from a general, individual or environmental view. A general-oriented view is based on a holistic view of the students. An individual-oriented view considers that students' individual difficulties, chronic conditions or disabilities give rise to involvement in bullying incidents. An environment-oriented view includes a psychosocial view where norm, culture, family, teachers and classmates are considered contributing to involvement in bullying. The work against bullying represents a complex function in which the role of the school counselor consists of several activities. Examples of a selection of activities involve initiatives such as individual discussions, support groups, mediation and collaboration with family and school staff.

The manager role in the middle of the organization : A qualitative study of the middle manager’s role and how the relationships with other managers in the organisation affects the experience of the role as a middle manager.

Mårdsäter, Annie, Olsson, Christopher January 2021 (has links)
This study examines the middle manager role in the middle of the organization and how middle managers themselves experience the manager role. In addition, the middle manager's relationships with other managers within the same organization are studied. The purpose of this study is to investigate how middle managers relationships with other managers can affect how the role is experienced in Swedish medium-sized organizations. Furthermore, this should contribute with an understanding of whether the manager-to-manager relationship is essential for how problematic the managerial role is perceived to be in the middle of the organization.  The introduction provides a background for the subject and what has previously been studied by other researchers within the framework of the middle manager's role and relationships within organizations. The theoretical frame of reference is then built up by theory that has been set in relation to the empirical result. It consists of research that deals with role theory, the role of the middle manager, relationships within organizations and theory of leaders' relationships with employees. Based on the theory,, topics and concepts have been identified, which form a central part and a common thread throughout the study. This is done to contribute to the empirical report which is carefully reviewed, compared and analyzed. The study's method, which aims to create clear and transparent empirical data, was done by using 11 semi-structured interviews held with middle managers in various organizations and industries in Sweden. The choice of a qualitative study means that it makes it possible to study experiences, understandings and experiences from middle managers in more detail, which can help to answer the study's purpose. In addition, the study is based on an abductive approach.  Based on the results of the study, we can observe that middle managers experience their managerial role as a freedom within the organization's framework. There are no experiences of incompatible requirements that affect the middle manager so negatively that they do not have the strength to work in the managerial role. In addition, we find that there are difficult periods, but nothing that the middle managers can not handle. The classic conflict between operational and strategic level can give the middle manager a sense of being pinched depending on the situation, but not always. On the other hand, we find that good relations with other managers facilitate the middle manager's work according to themselves and thus the experience of the role. In addition, support, communication and trust are important to show towards other managers within the organization for the middle manager to thrive in their managerial role. The relationships with other managers are crucial for the majority of the middle managers in the study in order to thrive in the role of middle manager. Thus, we identify these relationships as essential to the middle manager's experience of the managerial role. The study is written in swedish.

Ekström, Hjalmar, Wågstedt, Oscar January 2023 (has links)
The starting point of the study was the identified expectation gap between the auditors and groups with which they come into contact. The less flattering, traditionally stereotypical image of the audit profession was demonstrated within the study that auditors were involved in driving the change of role. As a result, the purpose of the study was to examine how auditors drive change in their role to close the gap between them and their stakeholders. The study was conducted at an accounting firm in Västerbotten. To answer the study's purpose and question, a qualitative method was used where data was collected through four semi-structured interviews. All respondents were auditors with varying work experience from one and a half years to over forty years in the profession. The results of the interviews were analysed using the theoretical frame of reference which included the institutional role theory, the role of the auditor and the expectation gap. Based on this, it was identified that the auditors acted actively, indirectly and passively to drive the change in the auditor's role and also identified a desire how this can be carried out in the future. The auditors drove the change primarily aimed at their customers, students, the general public and individuals within the profession. The auditors do not drive the role through the business for a preventive purpose, but more in a reactive way, especially towards the clients but nos as much towards other stakeholders. For further research, the authors of this study wish that the activities the auditors in this study perform to drive therole be examined in other cities, at different sizes of accounting firms to nuance what drivesthe role of an accountant and contribute generalizations of the phenomenon. In addition, similarstudies should be carried out based on the desire presented by the auditors of this study.

Predicting Marital Dissolution Using Data from Both Spouses

Lu, Chao-Chin 16 December 2010 (has links) (PDF)
The present research studies marital dissolution using data from both spouses from the National Survey of Families and Households (NSFH) and uses the method of multiple imputation to handle missing data. Role theory and another four approaches (social exchange theory, stake theory, gender perspective and heterogeneity perspective) are used to make a methodological argument why using data from both spouses is necessary to study marital stability. Five data sets are imputed and there are 3,777 observations in each imputed data set. Main research findings are as followed. First, the model fits of the data from both spouses on marital dissolution are significantly better than the model fits of the data from one spouse only; therefore, gathering perceptual data from both spouses is necessary to understand marital dissolution. Second, overall, the effects of most spousal discrepancies do not support the heterogeneity perspective. Third, the model fits of the wife only model are significantly better than the model fits of the husband only model across different periods of marital duration, and the predictability of wives' variables is more stable than husbands' variables. Therefore, if only individual-level data are available to use, researchers are encouraged to use wives' data rather than husbands' data. Fourth, the predictability of factors varies with marital duration and gender in the models with data from both spouses.

Determinants Of The Well-being Of Police Officers In The Turkish National Police

Yildiz, Serdar 01 January 2008 (has links)
This research evaluates the relationships of time balance, social relations, role conflict, perception of work environment, and fourteen control variables to police officers' well-being in Turkish National Police. Well-being is identified in the management literature as having a strong relationship with performance. Therefore, by finding the factors affecting well-being, this research seeks to identify intervention strategies, which can promote a healthy workforce and police performance. Such interventions, in addition, may improve police performance through improved well-being. Individual police officers were analyzed to better understand the relationship between work environment on family life, social life, and the well-being of the police officers. A cross-sectional survey was conducted in the seven geographic regions of Turkey for all branches of Turkish National Police. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to validate the measurement of latent constructs and their relationships. A 45-item questionnaire collected demographic data and items associated with the latent constructs such as time balance, social relations, role conflict, perception of work environment, and the police officers' well-being. This 45-item questionnaire was based on two survey instruments that have been used by Eurofound in Europe for two decades. The response rate for the questionnaire in this dissertation was 47.14% with 495 respondents out of 1,050 subjects. The analysis revealed statistically significant relationships between following latent constructs: time balance and well-being (an indirect effect via role conflict), time balance and social relations, time balance and role conflict, social relations and role conflict, role conflict and well-being, and perception of work environment and well-being. In addition, six control variables (rank, department, optimism, isolation, income sufficiency, and working days per week) were statistically significantly related with well-being. No direct significant relationship was found between time balance and well-being, and social relations and well-being constructs. Eight control variables (gender, marital status, service time, extra work, confusion, region, work type, and working hours per day) had no significant relationship with well-being. These findings support some commonly expressed complaints of police officers. These findings also suggest that attention should be paid to the effects of time balance, income sufficiency, work environment, and workdays on the well-being of the officers.
