Consistent Unanticipated Adaptation for Context-Dependent Applications

Taing, Nguonly, Wutzler, Markus, Springer, Thomas, Cardozo, Nicolás, Schill, Alexander 23 June 2021 (has links)
Unanticipated adaptation allows context-dependent applications to overcome the limitation of foreseen adaptation by incorporating previously unknown behavior. Introducing this concept in language-based approaches leads to inconsistencies as an object can have different views in different contexts. Existing language-based approaches do not address unanticipated adaptation and its associated run-time inconsistencies. We propose an architecture for unanticipated adaptation at run time based on dynamic instance binding crafted in a loosely manner to asynchronously replace adaptable entities that allow for behavioral changes of objects. To solve inconsistencies, we introduce the notion of transactions at the object level. Transactions guard the changing objects during their execution, ensuring consistent views. This allows for disruption-free, safe updates of adaptable entities by means of consistent unanticipated adaptation.

Korpusdokumentation des SiGS-Korpus der Hexenverhörprotokolle

Szczepaniak, Renate, Barteld, Fabian, Dücker, Lisa, Hartmann, Stefan, Köpcke, Klaus-Michael, Schutzeichel, Marc 23 June 2023 (has links)

A Combined Formal Model for Relational Context-Dependent Roles (Extended)

Kühn , Thomas, Böhme, Stephan, Götz, Sebastian, Aßmann, Uwe 17 September 2015 (has links) (PDF)
Role-based modeling has been investigated for over 35 years as a promising paradigm to model complex, dynamic systems. Although current software systems are characterized by increasing complexity and context-dependence, all this research had almost no influence on current software development practice, still being discussed in recent literature. One reason for this is the lack of a coherent, comprehensive, readily applicable notion of roles. Researchers focused either on relational roles or context-dependent roles rather then combining both natures. Currently, there is no role-based modeling language sufficiently incorporating both the relational and context-dependent nature of roles together with the various proposed constraints. Hence, this paper formalizes a full-fledged role-based modeling language supporting both natures. To show its sufficiency and adequacy, a real world example is employed.

Herstellung von Schottky-Dioden mittels Rolle-zu-Rolle-Verfahren / Fabrication of Schottky Diodes by means of Roll-to-Roll Methods

Bartzsch, Matthias 21 November 2011 (has links) (PDF)
Aim of this work was to demonstrate that Schottky-Diodes can be fabricated by means of Roll-to-Roll-Methods and to characterize these diodes. The diodes consists of a sputtered cathode (Aluminum or Copper), a gravure printed semiconducting layer of Polytriphenylamine (PTPA3) and a flexo printed anode (PEDOT:PSS, Pani, Carbon Black). Best electrical characteristics were obtained with diodes consisting Copper and Carbon Black as electrodes. With a thickness of the semiconducting layer of ~200 nm diodes with a cut-off frequency above 1 MHz could be demonstrated. These diodes showed also a good stability when exposed to UV-light, moisture and temperature.
