Socialinės pagalbos mokiniams bendrojo lavinimo mokyklose organizavimas / Social assistance organization for secondary school students

Social assistance is becoming a major part of education process in secondary schools. This sphere in secondary schools is quite new and little explored. In order to organize effective social assistance it is important to conduct more detailed research and evaluate factors which affect it. The topic of the Master thesis is „Social assistance organization for secondary school students”; its object is students’ attitude to social assistance organization at school; its aim is to examine social assistance for students’ state and factors influencing it in secondary schools. Referring to scientific and methodological resources the thesis discusses the forms of social assistance rendering, social assistance possibilities and peculiarities in secondary schools. The aim of the research was to find out social assistance organization in Trakai municipality secondary schools. The research was conducted in 2006 March and April. It helped to learn that social assistance organization factors at school were: organization of students’ occupation, class teacher’s work, preventive work, rendering social assistance and transportation organization. Research methodology is based on famous Lithuanian and foreign scientists and pedagogues thought, ideas, conclusions on the importance of school in positive child socialization process, social assistance organization; education and social security system confirming documents. 64.

Socialinė pagalba teikiama socialinės rizikos grupės vaikams siekiant užtikrinti jų poreikius: saugumą (tai apsauga nuo fizinio, emocinio ir seksualinio smurto, nepriežiūros), pastovumą (vaiko gyvenimo sąlygos yra pastovios ir stabilios) ir vaiko gerovę (vaikas turi galimybę tenkinti socializacijos ir lavinimo poreikius, gauti reikalingą fizinę ir dvasinę pagalbą). Socialinės rizikos vaikams teikiama socialinė pagalba sudaro prielaidas tolimesniam sėkmingam vaiko socializacijos procesui. Tyrimo objektas: Socialinės pagalbos organizavimas rizikos grupės vaikams Molėtų rajone. Tyrimo tikslas: Įvertinti socialinės pagalbos organizavimo rizikos grupės vaikams Molėtų rajone situaciją. Socialinės rizikos šeimose pastebėtini dideli vaikų priežiūros, ugdymo ir elgesio kontrolės trūkumai, kurie neigiamai veikia paauglių elgseną. / Adolescence is a period of lifetime when personality is forming. In this period teenagers meet a lot of problems and they can`t solve them on their own. The main problems are named as delinquency, drunkenness, drug addiction, aggression and so on. If a teenager can`t solve those problems, after-effects have influence on people living with him and on all society. In this respect the social work becomes more and more urgent.

Medikų požiūris į pacientų psichosocialinius poreikius / Doctors' approach to patients‘ psychosocial needs

SUMMARY The aim of this research is to investigate doctors‘ and nurses‘, working at Kaunas Medical University Clinics in subdivision of surgical section approach to patients‘ psychosocial needs. The tasks of this research – to settle doctors‘ attitude towards importance of psychosocial services for patients and their families, to investigate what specialists render psychosocial assistance for patients and estimate the doctors‘ attitude to the importance of employing this specialist in the departments. The research was accomplished in 2004 – 2005. 103 respondents i.e. doctors, nurses and carers took part in this research. In order to accomplish this research, using foreign literature sources, collaborating R. Butkeviciene (KMU) together with L. Roff and D.L. Klemmack (Alabama University, USA) was designed a questionnaire. Got information was computed using statistical program. It was estimated, that according to doctors‘ attitude, it is important to render psychosocial assistance for patients and their families. There was not any employee, rendering psychosocial assistance, in the departments where worked respondents. Most of medics, who took a part in the research, think, that it is important, that in their departments should be employee rendering psychosocial services for patients.

Magistrinio darbo tikslas - atskleisti pagalbos šeimai globojančiai vaiką ypatumus. Tyrimo tikslą sukonkretina darbe keliami uždaviniai: apibūdinti socialinės pagalbos šeimai, globojančiai vaiką, sistemą; išanalizuoti seniūnijos socialinio darbuotojo teikiamos pagalbos veiklos kryptis šeimai globojančiai vaiką; ištirti šeimos globojančios vaiką socialines problemas. Pirmoje darbo dalyje nagrinėjama moksliniuose šaltiniuose pateikiama globojamo vaiko ir šeimos teisinė ir socialinė padėtis: išskiriami šeimos, globojančios vaiką, pagrindiniai uždaviniai ir apibūdinamos jos socialinės problemos, apžvelgiami teisiniai dokumentai, reglamentuojantys vaiko globą šeimoje. Antroje darbo dalyje analizuojama socialinės pagalbos šeimai, globojančiai vaiką, sistema: valstybės skiriama piniginė parama, seniūnijoje teikiamos socialinės pagalbos kryptys, kurias įgyvendina seniūnijoje dirbantis socialinis darbuotojas. Trečioje darbo dalyje apibendrinami kokybinio tyrimo duomenys, atskleidžiantys socialinės pagalbos šeimai, globojančiai vaiką ypatumus. The purpose of the study is spesified by the tasks of this paperwork: to describe the system of social support to families in the care of a child; to analyse a social worker‘s support areas to families in the care of a child; to investigate problems of a family in the care of a child. In the first chapter of this paperwork the legal and social status of the foster child and family is analysed: the main purposes of family in care of the child are presented, its social problems are described, legal documents regulating custody of the child in the family are reviewed. In the second chapter the system of social support to families in the care of a child is analysed: state granted financial support, trends of social support provided by the smallest administrative district, which is implemented by its social worker. The qualitative survey data revealing peculiarities of social support to families in the care of a child is summarized in the third chapter of this paperwork. Šiandien dažna politikų diskusijų, žiniasklaidos pranešimų tema yra augantis vaikų agresyvumas, žiaurumas savo bendraamžių, mokytojų atžvilgiu, socialinė atskirtis. Pažymima, kad mokinių dvasiniam augimui ir lavinimuisi, socialinei integracijai neužtenka modernių mokymo(si) priemonių, naujų mokymo(si) programų ar socialinių projektų. Greta visų šių dalykų jiems taip pat reikalingas rūpestingas suaugusiojo palaikymas, geras jo pavyzdys, teikiama pagalba sunkiais gyvenimo etapais. Dažniausiai patekimą į socialinės atskirties rizikos grupę vaikai pajunta mokykloje, nors neretai tai lemia ir šeimos statusas visuomenėje ar pačios šeimos narių tarpusavio santykiai. Dažnai mokiniai, kurie praleidinėja pamokas ar jiems nesiseka, yra iš kitokios šeimos nei kiti mokiniai, neturi tam tikrų socialinių įgūdžių, greitai užklijuojama etiketė ir toks mokinys sulaukia socialinio pasmerkimo, atskyrimo. It is noticed that modern learning and teaching means, new learning and teaching programmes or social projects are not enough for spiritual growth and development of students and social integration. Together with these things students need attentive support from adults, their good example and assistance at difficult periods in life. Most often students face the risk of social exclusion at school although it also depends on the status of their family in the society or the relationship of their family members in the family. Often students who are absent from school or do not very well at school are from a different family than other students; they do not have particular social skills, are often given labels and can expect only exclusion and being branded. Behavioural, emotional and learning problems, peer alienation and lack of social skills are characteristic for students at risk of social exclusion. The goal of the study is defined more specifically by the objectives that the thesis addresses: analysing issues of social risk families and children; studying directions of social support for children from social risk families; investigating social worker functions at day centre relating to the offering of support to children from social risk families. Part one of the thesis addresses theoretical factors pertaining to the emergence of social risk families, directions of governmental social support for children from social risk families. SUMMARY New volunteering traditions have presently been emerging in Lithuania. Volunteer work complements the governmental network of social security as well as satisfies relevant demands of the society. Volunteers devote their own time to satisfy the needs of other people without any pay. They establish non-governmental organizations intended to render social assistance to different social groups of the population. The objective of this paper is aimed at optimizing volunteer activities in non-governmental organizations (NGO) which provide social assistance to children. The objective of the research is to theoretically and empirically develop the motivation of volunteers, to reveal the importance of their motivation and preparation to work with children optimizing the activities of NGOs. The content of the present research includes analytical survey of NGO volunteer activities: the concept of volunteer activities NGO in Lithuania; the target of volunteering if defined as children of risky group social development; motivation of volunteer activities and preparation to work with children. Motivation theories have also been reviewed as well as motivation factors inside the organization and training of volunteers. From 1990 m. realsed some seesows executyd social structure in Lithuania. The sodality non existent without family. The family is the base of a societal. The familys are on the increase, wherein of sorts function, because are pervasive unemployment, alcohol dependence and other things. Therefece rising social guestions and status. Into reseach wonder to sum up familys‘s status in yuors sodality, o dig effectively possibilitys social main tenance. In reaseach work was set a tasks: to analyse analitic reveew of reaseach literature; to descry fundamental nation, and theoretic attitudes of reaseach work; to find on disharmony family,s status in sodality; to class a good rapport contitioning; to schedule a good things for family‘s to better level of life for social workers. This moment have been work with disharmony‘s familys the first attitude to oppugn or not to help. For this family‘s need not a material but more to unbutton bore on‘s soul to display warm heart and heartiness. The familys which more splendour, a good position are not harmony too. Wherefore don‘t make disharmony‘s familys of register. This research work deduction, that familys not a good to store for materially and psichology. This opinion poured a caseworker, so we need to pay regard to planning asocial service and involvement voluntary.

A concluding thesis by Irena Kregždienė, postgraduate of Vilnius Pedagogių University, Institute of Social Communication, Department of Social Pedagogy, named „Social pedagogue – coordinator of a help to a family“, supervisor prof. dr. Juozas Vytautas Uzdila, is written after a thorough analysis of pedagogical and psychological literature, legal documents and strategy of rendering social help to pupils and their families. A survey of legal documents, concerning social help of a family, is made and the works of social workers and psychologists concerning social and psychological help to a family is made. The aim of this work was to reveal, how social pedagogue in schools coordinates help for the families of pupils. It was assumed, that it is posible to provide help for families in the frame of school, coordinating common work of specialists, specifying their functions and responsibilities. Analysis of literature, interview with social pedagogues and inquiry of class tutors were made. Investigatives were selected from 2 professional groups. 7 social pedagogues and 107 class tutors were selected. Statistical data has been analised with Statistical Pacage for Social Sciences (SPSS 10.0). Both qualitative and quantitative analysis‘ were made. Three statistical procedures to analise statistical data - computation of percental frequency of the answers, mean of estimations and analysis of variance - were made.
