Ström, Victoria January 2015 (has links)

Kolmodin, Viktoria January 2016 (has links)

Hur? : En kvalitativ studie om strategisk planering i småföretag

Andersson, Carina, Andrén, Sofia, Gustafsson, Madeleine January 2020 (has links)
This is a qualitative study about the strategic planning in small businesses. The study will answer the question: How formalized is the strategic planning progress in small businesses? Strategic planning is used to plan the company's direction and which goals they want to achieve. A lot of theories talk about the strategy planning in large businesses and not about what applies for small businesses. The purpose of this study is to observe the strategy planning process in small businesses and analyze if they do it the way theories say. To do this we collected information from known theories in the strategic field and compared this with the results from interviews with five different companies. This led us to the conclusion that small businesses do use strategic planning but not by following a linear and proactive planning process.

”Det finns inga genvägar” En fallstudie av Södra Älvsborgs Sjukhus verksamhetschefers upplevelse av strategisk internkommunikation / ”There are no shortcuts” A case study of Southern Älvsborg Hospital business managers' experiences of strategic internal communication

Zimmerman, Zeina January 2014 (has links)
Communication is essential for the survival of an organization. The management formulates strategies to ensure thatthe organization will get to where they want it to go. The strategy is then communicated to the co-workers through the line manager. But who is to say that the co-worker experience the message the same way as the line manager or the management for that matter? The purpose of this study is toinvestigate how the middle managers at Southern Älvsborg Hospital experience strategic internal communication andfurther how they communicate with their co-workers.Through a case study approach, the case being the communication of the hospitals research strategy, I conducted 13 interviews.I analyzed the material from the interviews using a hermeneutical approach and I used an interpretative approach to get a deeper understanding. The results show that the middle managers experience that the communication occurs through the transmission model. They also show an increased information overload, mainly due to e-mail. The middle managers strive for a sense making approach to communicationand they believe that this is best achievedthrough meetings. Only half of them have communicated or will communicate the research strategy with their co-workers,using different strategies; 1) handing over the responsibility to a researcher, 2) handing over the responsibility to aresearch manager, 3) interpreting the information and dialoguing about it and 4) interpreting and dialoguing about theinformation and then working with it in various teams and thus reflecting on what it means for their own unit. / Program: Magisterutbildning i strategisk information och kommunikation

Kommunikation för strategisk effekt

Johansson, Andreas January 2016 (has links)
Strategic communication is an important function for the Swedish Armed Forces to gain strategic effect and to achieve their goals. Well functional and proactive information is also addressed by the military as a means for protection against psychological warfare. This is pointed out as a serious threat against the Swedish defence will in times of peace and crises. In a democracy like Sweden it is however depending on medial power factors whether the communication will be effective or not. It is therefore useful to investigate how the Armed Forces strategic messages are presented when published in media. This essay will use media theories to investigate the outcome of the reporting of a specific case. The case is the decision that allows the Swedish Armed Forces to resume national service regarding refresher training of military units. This is an important tool for the Swedish Armed Forces, to be able to train in complete units, and also a chance to send strategic messages to its own population as well as neighbouring countries that the Swedish Armed Forces are increasing their ambitions. The investigation shows that the strategic messages were spread nationally both in press and on television. However, it could not be seen to have the impact enough to get people’s attention, in comparison to other news regarding the national defence. The reporting, in some cases, showed traces of what theories describe as undesirable “framing”, however the investigation cannot indicate any aggressive information campaign against the Armed Forces.

“Probably the best beer in town” : En kvalitativ studie om svenska mikrobryggeriers strategiska kommunikation. / "Probably the best beer in town" : A qualitative study about Swedish microbreweries strategic communication

Kling, Josefin, Duvnjak, Bianca January 2021 (has links)
In the last 20 years the craft brewing industry has expanded significantly in Scandinavia. The trend of microbreweries originates from the US and the U.K where much of the recent research has taken place, leaving a field unexplored from a perspective centralized to the microbrewery industry in Sweden. Previous research within similar fields have explored the use of neolocalism as a means of public relations strategy but little attention has been paid to further dimensions of strategic communication such as marketing communication and branding. With a theoretical framework varying from previous research within culture, geography and marketing this study seeks to bring light to the Swedish market of microbreweries from a media and communication perspective. The study examines which strategies Swedish microbreweries use to build a relationship with their customers and which strategies are implemented to appeal to new audiences. Furthermore, the study seeks to investigate which challenges microbreweries face with their external communication and what strategies are used to conquer them. The work indicates that while neolocalism plays a significant role in the branding and external communication for many breweries as demonstrated in previous studies in other areas of the world, the results bring light to the fact that while neolocalism might work as a strategy to bond with the locals it might also prevent the microbreweries to reach audiences beyond the given area. By using a qualitative semi-structured interview approach the respondents, each representing individual breweries located around Stockholm, Gothenburg and Småland, were able to provide empirical evidence suggesting that social media plays a great role in the success of reaching new audiences therefore functioning as one of the primary methods for successful strategic communication.

Den som syns och hörs existerar : Betydelsen av strategisk information och kommunikation för organisationers överlevnad under kris / Whoever is seen and heard still exists : The significance of strategic information and communication for the survival of organizations during a crisis

Klingberg, Daniela January 2022 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to contribute a deeper understanding of which significance strategic information and communication, through social media as a communication channel, has for the survival of organizations' during a crisis such as the Covid-19-pandemic. This has been done through a case study where two organizations in the catering industry have participated. This industry has been particularly exposed to politically imposed restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic in Sweden and the politically imposed restrictions have hindered catering organizations from managing their business as usual to the extent that they have had to close their operations.  The data collection method used in the study was qualitative interviews with representatives from each organization. To deepen and expand the empirical knowledge, a qualitative survey was conducted targeting the organizations' customers and stakeholders. The results showed that there is a discrepancy between what information the organizations think that they are communicating and how their customers and stakeholders perceive it. There’s also a discrepancy between the statements of the organizations and the stakeholders' experience regarding the amount of communicated information in social media. Furthermore, the study showed that strategic information and communication have had a certain significance regarding the survival of the organizations' as they have been able to inform their stakeholders about ongoing and upcoming activities through social media. However, the results showed that there are other incentives that might have had a strong influence on the organizations' survival during the crisis as well.
