Entre a potência e impossibilidade: um estudo da poética de Orides Fontela / Between potency and impossibility: a study of Orides Fontelas poetics

Roberta Andressa Villa Gonçalves 06 August 2014 (has links)
The present work analyzes the collection of Orides Fontela, which result a total of five published books from 1969 to 1996, observing the processes of continuity and rupture all over this route. We were looking for a understandable search for their most important aesthetic procedures, about the tension between word and silence, the fixation by lucidity, the constitution of its occult lyrical subject, the dense presence of nature elements, and the concise employment from a peculiar repertoire symbolic and metaphorical. The analysis and interpretation of such procedures about this poetic allowed to observe the oscillation between the sense of power and impossibility. To this end, we investigated the figurative organization of interrelationships between poems and how they use the antithetical pairs and the ideas paradoxical that contribute to the richness of meanings reached. The continuous poetic transposition between water and blood, flight and landing, the sky and the abyss, life and death, tends to produce a layer of sense subterranean, that beyond the author´s apparent transcendence and extemporaneity, communicates with the historicity of her time

From a general approach to the language notion, the concept of notation is presented as an intermediary between the verbal languages and general communication. Goodman proposes an interesting theory about notation, whose principle relates to the need at providing means to identify plays. In this work the concept of Goodman and the criteria used to define the notational structure is going to be discussed and exemplified. Then this approach is applied in discussions case, music, chemistry, painting, electronic diagram, floor plan, especially in the "literature" of the (brazilian) movimento concretista / Este trabalho diz respeito ao conceito de notação tal qual o mesmo é desenvolvido por Nelson Goodman no livro Languages of art.

In order to better understand and develop this theme, it seeks background on Jung himself and authors as Paz, von Franz, Coelho, Byington - who follow the Analytical Psychology of Jung on their studies about fairy tales. The research is enriched by the perspectives of authors as Darnton, Clark and Nogueira, who analyze the construction of the images of the witch and the woman within the historical context. The structure of the fairy tale was based on Propp's view among other authors who analyze the fairytale through the actions of the characters within it. It was also analyzed the contribution of this character to the development of the children's personality. The main concepts related to fairy tales (archetypes, Great Mother and other archetypical images) were also identified on several chapters. The symbols and images are the focus of the following chapter, as it is through the symbolic language that the fairy tales bring out their meanings to the mankind. The authors used to understand the symbols are Byington, Neumann, Bussato and Kast among others. This study is divided in 2 great moments: theoretic data and interviews conduct among children and adults. For interviews work, 3 stories were chosen: Hänsel and Grethel, Snow white and Rapunzel, which represent the witch in 3 different perspectives. After listening to the stories, the children were invited to draw the witch. Those drawings were analyzed using as a starting point the theories of Arttherapy, supported by authors as Futh, Derdyk, Cox and Mèredieu. The conclusion achieved from the conducted study is that the witches are not perceived by children as being totally mean, and that this character has a fundamental part in order to allow the fairy tales to accomplish its potential of helping children across their childhood.

A quadratic line complex, or a quadratic complex, is by definition a set of lines in a projective space Pn (n = 3, in our case) which satisfy a given quadratic equation. A quadratic complex can also be considered as a pencil of quadrics. Hence, it has a well defined Segre symbol. It is a classical fact that lines of a given complex through any point p ∈P3 form in general a quadratic cone. The points such that theses cones break up into two planes form a surface, the Singular Surface of the complex. The objective of this work is, for a fixed Segre symbol, to construct the Moduli space of quadratic complex, the Moduli space of corresponding singular surfaces and to study the relation between them.

”Yö, metsä, aika ennen kristinuskoa”:kotimaan ja kansakunnan representaatiot black metalissa ja folk metalissa Suomessa ja Norjassa

Mustamo, A. (Aila) 13 April 2016 (has links)
Abstract In this thesis, various meanings of representations of homeland and nation were explored from a view of symbolic anthropology and social constructionism. The main research material consists of interviews of 16 Norwegians and 21 Finns, including musicians and other active members of Black Metal and Folk Metal subcultures. The interviews were conducted in 2010–2012. In these subcultures, the most important symbols of homeland and nation were associated with the past and nature. Symbols were given meanings in different ways, also politically, although disagreements regarding politics at a subcultural cubcultural context. Political goals were, for example, resistance to immigration, nature conservation and promoting the home region. Although these subcultures positioned themselves as counterculture, they reproduced national meanings of the mainstream cultures. Members of the subcultures often identified themselves with 19th century National Romantics. According to them, National Romantic ideas had become suspect or forbidden in Finland and Norway after the Second World War. However, the views of the informants were radically different from each other and even some commonly shared ideas were strongly criticized in the subcultures. Based on the interview materials, level of commitment varied in the subcultures. For some informants, black metal was a comprehensive way of life. For others, it meant just good music or a chance to promote folklore. The most extreme statements came from Finnish Black Metal musicians and fans. Some of them even supported National Socialism. On the other hand, Finnish Folk Metal musicians were opposed to more extreme ideas. In general, Norwegian informants emphasized National Romanticism more than Finnish informants.

Les indications musicales dans l’Orient chrétien du VIe au IXe siècle : l’apport des papyrus / Musical Indications on Christian Papyri between the 6th and 9th centuries

Gampel, Alan 10 December 2015 (has links)
The three parts of this doctoral dissertation combine to support the hypothesis that musical signs were used in the transmission of Christian hymns during the 5th – 10th centuries. In the first part, a papyrological corpus provides evidence of three types of musical indications: hirmoi, which were used as musical models for liturgical canon strophes, modal signs from the octoechos system and un-identified interlinear symbols. In the second part, several hirmoi identified in the papyri are located in hirmologia from the 10th – 13th centuries – liturgical books containing paleo-byzantine and medio-byzantine musical notations. The different versions of the melodies are compared and then transcribed into modern notation. In the final part, the strophe texts and unidentified symbols from the papyri are superimposed on the musical transcriptions in order to analyze and interpret the functions of the symbols.

Vytváření nové identity a symbolů české společnosti v letech 1989-1993 (Analýza na základě konceptu občanského náboženství) / Formation of new identity and symbols of the Czech society in 1989-1993 (Analysis in terms of the concept of civil religion)

Novotný, Josef January 2016 (has links)
The thesis tries to prove applicability of the concept "civil religion" to the Czech society. After presentation of the concept of civil religion originating from R. Bellah, civil society and legitimization (grounded in the ideas of J. Přibáň) the addresses of president V. Havel and the articles from the selected newspapers of that period are analysed. In 1989-1993 as the transformative and crisis period one can observe the debate about the necessity of creating a civil society, finding a way of legitimizing the new condition and creating a new collective identity. Focusing on the individual and the citizenship following from the analysed articles constitutes the societal fundaments; and in these fundaments, thanks to "civil religion", there are recognized the transcendent component and the universality that both convey unifying potential and can be presented in a particular form through myths.
