Důležité osobnosti didaktiky francouzštiny jako cizího jazyka od roku 1950 / Important personalities of the didactics of French as a foreign language since 1950

Stammová, Markéta January 2017 (has links)
This work presents the chronological development of foreign languages teaching methods, with a focus on French especially. With these methods, we provide an overview of the learning materials development. The aim of this work is to introduce the didacticians of French language from the 1950s who worked on teaching methodologies. The first part briefly presents the French language extension history and, then, the traditional, direct and audio-lingual teaching language methods details that we encounter before the 1950s. The second part deals with the second half of the last century. On the background of the audiovisual structurally global approach, we encounter the main persons linked to this method. Consequently, we continue with the communication approach and the Speech acts of J. L. Austin and J. Searl, followed by Daniel Coste and his"Niveau Seuil". The last part deals with the Common European Framework of Reference, followed by 21st century most representative didacticians. Keywords Didactics, French language, teaching methods, CEFR, history of teaching methods

Bidrar matematikläxan till elevens matematiska kunskapsutveckling? : En intervjustudie om matematiklärares uppfattningar av matematikläxans möjligheter att hjälpa eleverna till en god matematisk kunskapsutveckling. / Does mathematics homework contribute to students' mathematical knowledge development?

Källströmer, Joel January 2019 (has links)
Matematik

Baigiamojo darbo tikslas- išanalizuoti verslumo ugdymui skirtų mokymo priemonių praktinį taikymą gimnazijoje. Tyrimo objektas– verslumo ugdymui skirtų mokymo priemonių taikymas gimnazijoje. Pagrindiniai baigiamojo darbo uždaviniai: atskleisti verslumo ir verslumo ugdymo sampratas; pagrįsti verslumo svarbą švietime; išnagrinėti verslumo ugdymui skirtas mokymo priemones ir jų praktinio taikymo švietimo įstaigose galimybes;išanalizuoti verslumo ugdymui skirtų mokymo priemonių taikymo gimnazijose ypatumus. Darbe taikyti metodai:mokslinės literatūros analizė; dokumentų, analizė; apklausa. Pirmoje darbo dalyje pateikiama verslumo ir... Aktivizující metody ve výuce ruského jazyka na základní škole / Active Learning of Russian Language at Elementary School

Smékalová, Marie January 2015 (has links)
The objective of this diploma thesis is to explore the possibilities of using Learner- centred methods in teaching Russian language. The thesis deals with Learner-centred methods in teaching Russian language at elementary schools and offers a didactic material based on this methodology. Withn the theoretical framework of the thesis the basic concepts are defined as well as the Communicative approach towards language teaching is characterised and discussed. Learner-centedred methods are viewed not only as a useful tool for more effective language learning, but also as an unseparable part of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT). Drawing on CLT, the communicative criterion is applied in the following classification of Learner- centered methods. Using the Learner-centered methodology, the practical part of the thesis offers a didactic material. The materiel is intended for Rusisan language students and was tested in Elementary schools. In the last part of the thesis the material is analyzed. On the basis of this analysis conclusions are drawn and possibilities of Learner-centered methods in Russian language teaching are described. KEYWORDS: teaching methods, Learner-centered teaching methods, foreign language teaching, Russian language teaching, didactic material

Finding the right mix: teaching methods as predictors for student progress on learning objectives

Glover, Jacob I. January 1900 (has links)
Doctor of Philosophy / Department of Special Education, Counseling and Student Affairs / Aaron H. Carlstrom / This study extends existing student ratings research by exploring how teaching methods, individually and collectively, influence a minimum standard of student achievement on learning objectives and how class size impacts this influence. Twenty teaching methods were used to predict substantial or exceptional progress on each of 12 learning objectives. Analyses were conducted in four class-size groups, Small (between 10-14 students), Medium (between 15-34 students), Large (between 35-49 students), and Very Large (50 or more students). Archival data were over 580,000 classes of instructors and students who responded to two instruments within the IDEA Student Rating of Instruction system: Instructors completed the Faculty Information Form, and students responded to the Student Ratings Diagnostic Form. Significant progress, for the purpose of this study, means students indicated they made either substantial or exceptional progress on learning objectives the instructor identified as relevant to the course. Therefore, student ratings of progress were dichotomized and binary logistic regression was conducted on the dummy variables. Descriptive statistics and point-biserial correlations were also conducted to test the hypotheses. Teaching methods that stimulated student interest were found to be among the strongest predictors of significant progress on the majority of learning objectives across all class sizes. For all class sizes, significant progress was correctly classified from a low of 76% of the time to a high of 90% of the time. The higher students rated the instructor in stimulating them to intellectual effort the more progress they reported on a majority of learning objectives across all class sizes. Higher instructor ratings on inspiring students to set and achieve challenging goals were also associated with significant student progress on learning objectives across all class sizes. Class size was not a major factor affecting the predictive strength of groups of teaching methods on student progress on learning objectives. However, it was a factor concerning the predictive strength of individual teaching methods. The larger the enrollment the greater was the predictive strength of key teaching methods. Implications of the study for faculty professional development and for future research are discussed.

The effects of a structured teaching method on mathematics anxiety and achievement of grade eight learners

Thijsse, Lynette Joan 08 1900 (has links)
The hypothesis that a structured, sequenced, approach to mathematics learning, based on the application of learnt facts, decreases mathematics anxiety and increases mathematics achievement is tested. A literature study and an empirical investigation were conducted with respect to the relationships between maths anxiety, maths achievement and teaching methods. A qualitative research design which focussed on the cross-case analysis of different case studies was used. The qualitative case study involves multiple methods such as interviews, observations and a pretest, posttest design. It analyses and compares the effects of the Kuman method, used as the intervention programme, on maths anxiety and maths achievement of an experimental group and a control group. The results of this research indicate that learners on the intervention programme who showed a decrease in anxiety, showed an increase in achievement. This has implications for the teaching methods used in South Africa. / Teacher Education / M. Ed. (Specialisation in Guidance and Counselling)
