Écoulements induits en guide d'onde acoustique fort niveau / Induced flows in acoustic waveguide high level

La propagation d'une onde acoustique en guide est associée, pour de forts niveaux, à un certain nombre de phénomènes de l'acoustique non linéaire. Parmi ces phénomènes, les écoulements redressés (ou vent acoustique), l'effet d'une discontinuité et la transition à la turbulence, à l'étude dans ce mémoire, sont associés à la génération d'écoulements induits. L'étude expérimentale de ces phénomènes repose sur l'adaptation des méthodes de vélocimétrie Laser : Vélocimétrie Laser par effet Doppler (VLD) et Vélocimétrie par Images de Particules (PIV) à la mesure des différents écoulements. Ainsi, des mesures PIV en sortie de convergent, viennent compléter des mesures VLD réalisées antérieurement. Dans l'espoir de mieux appréhender les spécificités de la transition à la turbulence en guide d'onde acoustique, l'évolution de la couche limite de Stokes est étudiée pour des amplitudes de vitesse acoustique croissantes. Une étude expérimentale des écoulements redressés dans un guide d'onde à section carrée est proposée et les spécificités liées à cette géométrie sont recherchées. En outre, l'évolution des tourbillons du vent acoustique en guide d'onde cylindrique est analysée lorsque le vent devient rapide et certains facteurs pouvant être à l'origine de cette évolution sont modifiés. La répartition harmonique dans le guide est ainsi modifiée, puis l'influence des conditions thermiques est abordée en couplant les mesures de vitesses à des mesures de température moyenne dans le guide et en paroi. Une comparaison avec des résultats issus de simulations numériques permet de conforter l'évolution des écoulements redressés observée. / High amplitude acoustic propagation in a guide is associated with several non linear phenomena including acoustic streaming, discontinuity effects and transition to turbulence. Those phenomena are studied in this work and are all associated with acoustically induced flows. The present experimental study therefore is based on velocimetry laser techniques: Laser Doppler Velocimetry (LDV) and Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), wich are fitted to the measurement of the different flow velocity components. Firstly, PIV measurements at the exit of a convergent enable to complement previous LDV measurements. Then, in order to a better understanding of the specificity of transition to turbulence in acoustics, the evolution of the Stokes boundary layer is studied for increasing acoustic velocity amplitudes. Then an experimental study of acoustic streaming in a square channel is reported, and the influence of the geometry is examined. Moreover, the evolution of acoustic streaming vortices in a cylindrical waveguide is analyzed for fast streaming and some parameters that could control such evolution are modified. The harmonicdistribution inside the guide is changed and then the influence of thermal conditions is studied by coupling velocity measurements and mean temperature measurements inside the waveguide and along the wall. Some comparisons between measured streaming velocities and numerical simulation results are presented.

The main aim of my thesis is to create a suggestion of my own teaching materials for teaching the topic "The Earth in Space" in the context of geography on the 2nd stage of Primary schools which includes not only workbook for students but also a methodological guide for teachers and additional outputs usable for an interactive whiteboard. The teaching text itself corresponds to the principles defined in the current educational documents. The theoretical part evaluates the significance and status of the material in the curriculum in the context of the Framework Educational Programme for Elementary Education and the school educational programmes of schools monitored. The next chapter is devoted to the didactic analysis of current educational textbooks and workbooks for the 2nd stage of Primary schools which includes the subject matter. The thesis also contains an overview of selected modern elements in the teaching of geography.

Title of thesis is: ,,Vanished cultural landscape of the Czech border - an interactive learning guide for the 2nd grade school". Graduation thesis consists of an analysis of literature (textbooks geography, citizenship and education history, professional, nonfiction literature, didactic literature and multimedia documents). The practical part has a form of an interactive learning guide. Most of the work is devoted to the issue of the Sudetenland which to the largest extent represents the vanished cultural landscape of the Czech border. Sudetenland are evaluated from several different perspectives. An integral part of a thorough and detailed geographic mapping will clarify the historical circumstances but also the consequences that come with intricate development of the Czech border to bring ,,our" society today. The main section has its own interactive learning guide for students of upper primary school. In our case it will serve as the superstructure teaching material and therefore it can be used for grammar schools as well.

Diploma thesis delivers a global education methodology for schoolchildren, designed for teachers and including materials for students. Suggestions are based on theoretical knowledge centred on the comparison of education systems in developed and developing countries, focusing on the Czech Republic and Namibia respectively. The theoretical part of the thesis is the process of developing the concept of global education via a Czech concept known by the acronym GRV. The thesis further develops the theoretical basis of the GRV concept by establishing criteria using suitable GRV material. It also considers the current state of GRV in context of primary education in Czech schools and opportunities for more effective implementation in the Czech educational system.

There was also created mehtodological guide for teachers to help them in organization of these projects. The diploma thesis deals with teaching regional geography of Australia and New Zealand on the second stage of Primary school. The main aim is to create the multimedia educational programme in the SMART notebook 11, the special programme for interactive board. The thesis also contains a methodological guide for teachers which was created with educational programme. This programme corresponds to the principles of the current educational documents (Framework Educational Programme for Elementary Education). The theoretical part deals with the didactic analysis of current educational textbooks and workbooks of geography which are designed for the second stage of Primary school and included the subject matter. There was made a research by a controlled discussion with geography teachers to get a notion of time allocation and volume in teaching regional geography of Australia and New Zealand.

Rio Grande e seus espaços de memória: a construção do Guia de Acervos da Cidade do Rio Grande / Rio Grande and its sites of memory: the elaboration of a Guide of Collections to the City of Rio Grande

This paper presents the development of the Guide of Collections of Rio Grande. Composed of bibliographic, iconographic, textual, cartographic and museological documents, such collections represent a part of the history of the city. Inserted in the Documentary Heritage Line Research, the research was conducted in five stages: preparation of data collection instrument (standard application form), identification of custodial institutions and their collections, a test to standard application form, description and, finally, elaboration of the Guide. The standard application form was created from the analysis of the International Regulation for Description of Institutions with Archival Collections and other elements of the archival field, as well as specific factors from librarianship, museology and history. The identification was performed by mapping Institutions such as Museums, Libraries, Archives, Centers of Memory and Memorials established in Rio Grande which have already had references of researchers, information about their collections in several publications and websites, with public access for visitation and / or research, although with restrictions. At the stage of description of the Institutions and their respective collections by the means of standard application form - firstly information was collected from websites and other materials related. In order to complement the information gathered, visits and interviews were conducted with employees of the respective institutions. Lastly, there have been developed a Guide to Collections with the production of indices which intend to represent the information of the collections divided in four groups: Collection Typology, prevalent themes, documentary genres and study periods. The research presents as results the development of the data collection instrument - standard application form to describe different collections which will contribute to the propagation of such collections and may serve as a basis for building other Guides. The Guide to Collections, product of this work, brings together into one instrument the description of documentary arrangement, providing distribution and correlation of disparate sources in different institutions. In this sense, the purpose of analyzing ISDIAH ( Norma Internacional para Describir Instituciones que Custodian Fondos de Archivo , freely translated as International Standard for Describing File Custodian Funds Institutions) and elements in the fields of archivology, librarianship and museology, in order to describe custodial institutions and their collections, identify and describe such collections, highlight related sources, publish the documentary collections of the city, was achieved. Also, it is important to emphasize the need to expand this research through a mapping of the heritage of the city of Rio Grande, increasing the number of institutions listed in the Guide, the creation of a database based on the data collection instrument and the development of a thesaurus to the city of Rio Grande. / Este trabalho apresenta o desenvolvimento do Guia de acervos da cidade do Rio Grande. Compostos por documentos bibliográficos, iconográficos, textuais, cartográficos e museológicos estes acervos representam uma parte da história da cidade. Inserida na Linha de Pesquisa Patrimônio Documental, a pesquisa foi desenvolvida em cinco etapas: elaboração do instrumento de coleta de dados (formulário padrão), identificação das instituições de custódia e seus acervos, teste do formulário padrão, descrição e por fim elaboração do Guia. O formulário padrão foi criado a partir da análise da Norma Internacional para Descrição de Instituições com Acervos Arquivísticos, outros elementos da área de arquivologia, assim como elementos próprios das áreas de biblioteconomia, museologia e história. A Identificação foi realizada através de mapeamento de Instituições denominadas Museus, Bibliotecas, Arquivos, Centros ou Núcleos de Memória, e Memoriais com endereço na cidade do Rio Grande e que já possuíam referências de pesquisadores, informações sobre seus acervos em sites e publicações diversas, com acesso ao público para visitação e/ou pesquisa, ainda que com restrições. Na etapa de descrição das Instituições e respectivos acervos aplicação do formulário padrão primeiramente as informações foram coletadas em sites e outros materiais sobre as mesmas. A fim de complementar as informações reunidas, foram efetuadas visitas e entrevistas com funcionários das respectivas instituições. Por fim elaborou-se o Guia de Acervos com a confecção de índices que procuram representar as informações dos acervos em quatro grupos: Tipologia do acervo, Temas preponderantes, Gêneros documentais e Períodos de estudos. A pesquisa apresenta como resultados o desenvolvimento do instrumento de coleta de dados - formulário padrão para descrição de diferentes acervos que contribuirá para a difusão destes acervos e poderá servir de base para a construção de outros Guias. O Guia de Acervos, produto deste trabalho, reúne em um só instrumento a descrição de agrupações documentais proporcionando a difusão e correlação de fontes dispersas em diferentes instituições. Neste sentido os objetivos de análise da Norma ISDIAH e elementos das áreas de arquivologia, biblioteconomia e museologia para descrição das instituições de custódia e seus acervos; identificar e descrever os referidos acervos; ressaltar as fontes relacionadas; divulgar os acervos documentais da cidade, foram cumpridos. Destaca-se ainda a necessidade de ampliação desta pesquisa através de um mapeamento do patrimônio da cidade do Rio Grande ampliando o número das instituições constantes no Guia, a criação de um banco de dados baseado no instrumento de coleta e o desenvolvimento de um tesauro para a cidade do Rio Grande.

In this manner, the user could accomplish correctly his functions. The focus of the research refrains from the user guide, whose objective is to transmit to the landed property s owner, in the instant of the key s delivery, the basics notions to the corrected use and maintenance of his propriety, assuring the durability, preventing damages from a bad use or the lack of conservation, and giving him a higher security and economy. For this valuation, the country s rules and legislation was analyzed, because now it claims the adoption of the manual, and norms and social behavior from other countries too, resulting in a consumer s defense movement. The work talks about constructive projects and processes used in the building sub sector and how the application of concepts and softwares can improve the satisfaction and the client s attending. The research presents too technical features like the retro alimentation and the as built project. The case study realized into this job, which consists in an interview accomplished with 11 engineers and 150 guide s users, reveals that, in spite of the consensus about the uses of the user guide, it further doesn t offers satisfactory and suitable information for it purposes. Rely on this data, the present work analyzes, comments and suggests modifications to the existents norms of the guide s elaboration serving. / Avaliando as diretrizes para formulação do manual de usuário de edificações existentes, esta investigação visa oferecer subsídios para a coleta e elaboração das informações que devem dele constar, para que cumpra, efetivamente, com o seu papel de orientar quanto ao uso e manutenção do imóvel. O foco desta pesquisa limita-se ao manual do usuário, cujo objetivo é o de transmitir, ao proprietário, as noções básicas para a correta utilização e manutenção da sua propriedade, assegurando a durabilidade, evitando e prevenindo danos decorrentes do mau uso ou falta de conservação, aumentando a segurança e a economia. Para tal avaliação, no decorrer desta dissertação foram analisadas as normas e a legislação vigente no País, que passaram a exigir a adoção do manual, bem como normas e comportamentos sociais de outros países, resultantes do movimento de defesa dos consumidores. O trabalho discorre sobre projetos e processos construtivos utilizados no subsetor da construção civil, bem como sobre a aplicação de conceitos e programas de qualidade e dos benefícios que podem ser deles extraídos para o melhor desempenho do produto no atendimento e satisfação do cliente. Apresenta ainda aspectos técnicos tais como retroalimentação e projeto as built . O estudo de caso realizado neste trabalho, que conta com uma análise de 11 manuais fornecidos por construtoras, bem como uma pesquisa realizada com 11 engenheiros que respondem por construtoras e 150 usuários de manual, revela que, apesar do consenso da importância do manual, este ainda não traz informações adequadas e satisfatórias para a sua finalidade, não atendendo plenamente aos requisitos necessários. Com base nestes dados, o presente trabalho analisa, comenta e fornece contribuições para as diretrizes existentes voltadas para a elaboração do manual.

Optique quantique avec des atomes artificiels semiconducteurs / Quantum Optics with Semiconducting Artificial Atoms

Cette thèse porte sur les effets d'optique quantique avec des atomes artificiels semiconducteurs. Dans un premiers temps, on fait une étude théorique où un émetteur unique est couplé à un guide d'onde unidimensionnel. Ce système permets la propagation libre de la lumière en préservent la sensitivité au niveau d'un photon unique, ce que a motivé des propositions pour faire des portes logiques et des transistors au photon unique. Un schéma pour observer l'émission stimulée au niveau d'un photon unique dans cet environnement unidimensionnel est proposé, en utilisant un émetteur excité (e.g. une boîte quantique) et une pompage classique (laser). On montre que l'émission se produit dans le mode stimulée et que la population atomique fait des oscillations de Rabi classiques. Ensuite, la dynamique complètement quantique est décrite, où un paquet avec un seul photon interagit avec l'atome initialement excité. Dans cette nouvelle condition, la stimulation est irréversible, i.e., les populations atomiques ne réalisent pas des oscillations. Cet effet est optimal dans le cas où le paquet est trois fois plus court qu'un paquet spontanément émis par le même atome. On démontre comment utiliser l'émission stimulée irréversible optimale pour produire des clones quantiques universels. Le même dispositif peut être utilisé aussi bien pour produire des paires des photons complètement intriqués, si le paquet du photon initial est suffisamment étendu. Dans un deuxième moment, nous nous sommes intéressés aussi au spectre d'émission spontanée d'une boîte quantique semiconductrice en couplage faible avec une microcavité. Ce système mets en évidence l'effet d'alimentation de la cavité, où la boîte émet spontanément à la fréquence de la cavité, même si cela est bien désaccordé. L'influence des phonons pour le mécanisme d'alimentation de la cavité est analysée. Une importante distorsion du spectre apparent de la cavité, induit pour la présence des phonons, est démontrée. Les effets étudiés sont topiques et peuvent être implémenté avec des dispositifs semiconducteurs de l'état de l'art. / The thesis focuses on quantum optical effects in semiconducting artificial atoms. We first investigate theoretically a single emitter coupled to a one-dimensional waveguide. This system allows for light propagation while preserving sensitivity at the single-photon level, which has motivated proposals for quantum gates and single-photon transistors. A scheme to monitor stimulated emission at the single-photon level in this one-dimensional open space is proposed, using an excited emitter (e.g. a quantum dot) and a classical pump (laser). We show that light is emitted in the stimulating mode and that the atom performs classical Rabi oscillation. The fully quantum dynamics is also explored, where a single-photon packet interacts with an initially excited emitter. In contrast with the case of a classical pump, stimulation by a single photon is irreversible, i.e., no oscillation takes place. Stimulation is optimal for a packet three times shorter than the spontaneously emitted one. We show how this optimal irreversible stimulated emission can be applied to perform universal quantum cloning. The same device provides either optimal quantum cloning or maximally entangled photon pairs, depending only on the size of the incoming packet. In the second part of the thesis, we investigate the spontaneous emission spectrum of a semiconducting quantum dot weakly coupled to a microcavity. In particular, we address the problem of cavity feeding, where the quantum dot spontaneously emits photons at the frequency of an off-resonance cavity. The influence of phonons in the cavity feeding mechanism is analysed. An important distortion of the apparent cavity peak induced by the presence of phonons is demonstrated. These effects are topical and can be implemented in state-of-the-art semiconducting devices.

The idea of civility is understood as the education of body and soul, for it molds the subject to the social patterns seen as „distinguished‟ in society interaction. Manuals have constituted important devices to education as a way of formation. Also in the Brazilian civilizing project, in which occurred the production, editing and publishing of entire books, exclusively for teaching the writing of letters and with the circulation of models in Paraíba – research scenario and trade evidence copies of epistolary manuals through the sale of ads that title in nineteenth-century newspapers. The research methodology began with reading Novo Secretario Portuguez ou Código Epistolar, considering it‟s been working for centuries and its historical relevance, as a formation device in Brazilians education, establishing strategic ways of how to form a national identity, in the midst of the construction of a modern e civilized country. Another reading took place, through the content and elements of the perigrafia of the epistolary manual, concerning the teaching of how to write letters. This book makes part of the pedagogic press category of education to civility, teaching rules, conduct patters and letter styles for the population, making legit the daily social contact. It‟s noticeable that the act of writing was considered by Roquette as a practice that revealed the subject and his ways as good manners person, distinction object, tuning with values recommended by those times elite. The content in the manual demonstrate that the protocol education also occurred in the way of writing letters, using a proper manual for this intention, using specific cases and personalities examples, chosen as models to be followed. The discussion of the dissertations theme was based in some important theorist that developed studies about civility, books history and epistolary manuals in the international, national e regional scene. / O tema da pesquisa de mestrado é a educação para a civilidade, analisada por meio do dispositivo de formação educacional e fonte da pesquisa, o manual epistolar Novo Secretario Portuguez ou Código Epistolar, de J. I. Roquette, buscando contribuir com as pesquisas em História da Educação, evidenciando-se a importância histórica dos manuais na constituição do ensino da leitura e da escrita. A concepção de civilidade compreendia a educação do corpo e da alma, no sentido de moldar o sujeito aos padrões sociais tidos como 'distintos', na convivência em sociedade. Os manuais se constituíram em dispositivos importantes à educação como formação, também no projeto civilizador brasileiro, no qual ocorreu a produção, edição e publicação de livros completos, exclusivamente para o ensino da escrita de cartas e, inclusive, com circulação de exemplares na Paraíba – cenário da pesquisa e com evidências de comercialização dos exemplares de manuais epistolares, através dos anúncios de vendas desses títulos nos jornais Oitocentistas. A metodologia de pesquisa iniciou-se com a leitura das páginas do Novo Secretario Portuguez ou Código Epistolar, considerando o seu funcionamento secular e relevância histórica, como dispositivo de formação na educação dos brasileiros, delimitando estratégias para forjar uma identidade nacional, no bojo da construção de um país moderno e civilizado. Realizou-se outra leitura, através do conteúdo e dos elementos da perigrafia do manual epistolar, em relação ao ensino da escrita de cartas. Esse livro fez parte da categoria de impressos pedagógicos de educação à civilidade, ensinando regras, condutas e estilos de cartas para a população, legitimando assim o seu cotidiano social. Percebe-se que o ato de escrever era considerado por Roquette como prática que revelava o sujeito e o seu trato como pessoa de bons modos, objeto de distinção, em sintonia com os valores preconizados pelas elites da época. Os conteúdos abordados pelo manual demonstram que a educação protocolar também ocorria no modo de escrever cartas, utilizando um manual próprio para este fim, trazendo exemplos de casos ocorridos e de personalidades, escolhidas como modelo a serem seguidos. A discussão do tema proposto na dissertação baseou-se em alguns teóricos importantes que desenvolveram estudos sobre Civilidade, História do Livro e Manuais Epistolares no âmbito do cenário internacional, nacional e regional.
