Os habitus professorais: a prática pedagógica em diferentes lugares-ocasiões / The habitus teacher: the practice in different places educational occasions

Monica Andrade do Nascimento 31 July 2007 (has links)
The purpose of this dissertation was to analyze the professorial habitus of a group of teachers of the initial series of the public education system of Nova Iguaçu/RJ. In this investigation, I focused on the notion of Bourdieus habitus, defined as dispositions, lifestyles, manners and incorporated tastes. I used semi-structured interviews that were recorded with the teachers consent. I interviewed 11 teachers and centered the inquiry on two questions associated to the recollections of the teachers and their social origin. The recollections of teachers of the initial series were those that most contributed toward the decision to be a teacher. They are united in the discourse on practice: dispositions incorporated in infancy; methodologies and attitudes copied from former teachers, from the subjects and from admired institutions; as well as initial experiences in private schools. Thus, the professorial habitus and the conceptions of the teaching profession were related to the different levels of teacher socialization and to the images and practices of such socialization. In short, this groups professorial habitus were constructed in different times-spaces of training.

The study had the objective to understand how teachers in the disciplines of General Didactics and Specific Didactics in undergraduate courses constituted their trajectories and how these affect their pedagogical practice and the initial training of their students. The methodology was built on qualitative perspective, of ethnographic inspiration, with direct observation of classroom situations and semi-structures interviews with six teachers, three of Didactics – Organization of Pedagogical Work and three of Specific Didactics that act in Pedagogy and Biology courses. It also involved 12 students of these courses, which attended these disciplines during the investigation period. The interviews with teachers were focused on understanding how they build their professionalism, from the analysis of their professional careers. The observations in the classroom sought to understand the articulation of teachers’ class and the relations that they established with students. The interviews with students were structured to allow the understating of how teachers in the disciplines of General and Specific Didactics articulated the knowledge necessary for the practice of teaching, and their impact on the initial training of these students. The thesis maintains that university teaching is made of ruptures, continuities and contradictions between discourse and practice, and most teachers expressed concern about the relation between the form and content of the disciplines they ministered. The pedagogical field, crossed by different values and beliefs, involves the teaching that deals with challenges that reconfigure and resignify it. It is a phenomenon of collective and complex nature, lived socially, distant of simplifications. They was used as theoretical statemente to this study the contribuitions in Cunha (1989, 1998), Pimenta (1998), Leite (1999), Anastasiou (1998), Balzan (1998), Masetto (1998,2003), Morosini (2003), Pimenta e Anastasiou (2002), Veiga (1994), Castanho e Veiga (2001),Zabalza (2004), Isaia e Bolzan (2009), entre outros.

TRAJETORIAS E PROCESSOS FORMATIVOS NA/DA DOCÊNCIA: MEMÓRIAS E [RES] SIGNIFICAÇÕES / TRAJECTORIES AND FORMATIVE PROCESSES IN/OF TEACHING: MEMORIES AND [RE] MEANINGS

Marquezan, Lorena Ines Peterini 12 August 2015 (has links)
This article is anchored in the connections between personal/professional development and formative processes in/of teaching, from memories and [re]meanings. The theory postulates that the complexity in/of teaching is intertwined in the paths and formative processes of teacher, potentially inter/transdisciplinary, at different levels of education (Basic Education and Higher Education), where he/she teaches/learns, throughout life. The memories and [re]meanings of teachers allow these complex movements can be perceived in genuinely autobiographical processes. These conceptual dimensions are being elucidated and expanded in (auto) biographical research through narratives and other sources of information and iconography. The interpretative model, scenic understanding in complexity is proposed from Marinas (2007), Abrahão (2014) and Morin (2012 a, 2012 b). The autobiography of the persona, Educator Ane Carine Meurer, contains facts and arguments supporting the postulated thesis. We concluded that the persona of the (auto) biographical narrative experiences the complexity of trajectories and training processes in/of teaching, marked by the experience inter/transdisciplinary, that was being confirmed in the complex scenic understanding of the contexts of her memories and [res] meanings.

Therefore it was tried to understand the set of formative experiences of these teachers with the reading and how they give it a new signification in their pedagogic work. The investigation laid hold of a theoretical and methodological outline that helped the understanding of the building process of the reading habitus of the teachers and the development of their pedagogical work. It was utilized the theoretical approach of Praxiology proposed by Pierre Bourdieu. This theory made possible to exame how the agents[teachers] incorporated a set of stable aptitudes during their lives in the diverse environments of socialization. The analysis related to the reading process and the importance of it in the school were based on the searches of Koch and Elias (2006), Alliende; Condermarín (2005), Silva (2005), Antunes (2003), Bamberger (2002), Borges (2002), Leffa (1999), Solé (1998), Soares (1995). The fundament of the issues related to the teachers and their formation was derived form the ideas of Pimenta (2006), Lima & Sales (2003), and Tardiff (2002). This investigation is based on the research quality approcah and among the possible methodologies, the history of life was chosen, following the ideas of Josso (2006, 2004), Poirier, Clapier-Valladon, Raybaut (1995). So, were utilized narrative interviews and the subjects discourse orally about their histories focusing on the reading experiences. The recount of subject histories and their relation with the reading represent a possibility of comprehension of their formation trajectory, their conceptions of reading and their pedagogical praxis. Thus the teachers produced a knowledge of themselves and of the formative process unfolded according to the remembrance of the experiences narrated. The collection of narratives forms a panorama of the trajectories of the teachers since it discloses experiences with reading in diverse places and reveal some of the influences of these reading praxis in their pedagogical work. The present research shows that reading has favoured the cultural enrichment of the subjects and for this very reason it cannot be seen as a mere reproduction of institutional meanings. In this manner, it marks the need of feeling reading as lively process that enables a judicious participation in the world and a thoughtful stand before the reality of the present society. The study still takes in consideration that the pedagogical work developed by the teacher should not happen randomly, but it should riquire an adequate planning where the students may be seen as subjects. This investigation does not exhaust the study of the issues related both to the reading and the pedagogical praxis. These ones deserve a more accurate exam in order to provide answers to the low performance of the students in tests on a large scale.

Oliveira, Nayara Alves de 15 March 2017 (has links)
The major purpose of this dissertation is to analyse the insertion and practice of students and graduates on Pedagogy of the Universidade Federal de Sergipe (1968-1978) in the educational field in Sergipe. Another goal is to comprehend the opening of this academic field and its functioning and legitimation in the local sphere, and its contribution to the formation of teachers and Education specialists. For which it was donne a historical research based on bibliographic and documental analyses, both on the framework of the New History theoretical and methodological premises, more precisely of the new historiographic school named Cultural History. Besides, the study was oriented by the concept of field, capital and habitus, on Bourdieu’s account, and the concept of memory on Le Goff’s and Pollak’s account. According to the research, it is possible to conclude that the graduation on Pedagogy was among the courses authorized to be offered by the Faculdade Católica de Filosofia de Sergipe (FAFI), from 1951. However, the course had only been given to the public on 1968 after the inauguration of the Universidade Federal de Sergipe in 1967. The graduation course was opened by a determination of the civilmilitary government in order to inaugurate the Universidade Federal de Sergipe which required the FAFI’s fragmentation and the implementation of the Institute of Languages, Philosophy and Human Sciences and the Faculty of Education. After its implementation it was the most popular graduation course during the decades of 1960 and 1970 on the field of Education in the Universidade Federal de Sergipe. One of the reasons for it is associated to the national reformulation in 1969, which included the broadening of the field of expertise for educators by creating the habilitations: coordination, administration, supervision, and school inspection. Educators and specialists had worked in strategic functions of the educational field in this process, contributing to the modernization and expansion of teaching. In this sense, it is not possible to omit or deny the students’ and graduates’ contributions in the implementation of educational polices on the improvement of teaching, despite the fact that the course was implemented after an imposition of the civil-military government, and of the dominant interpretation of social and ideologic control as the main interest of the government.
