Katedrála v současnosti / Cathedral today

Rampáčková, Monika January 2020 (has links)
The master's thesis deals with famous Notre-Dame de Paris, which was destroyed by fire in 2019. The work focuses specifically on the design of completion of the construction. The cathedral is situated in the historical centre of Paris on the Île de la Cité. A lot of damage was caused to the building after the devastating fire on 15 April 2019. The aim of the thesis was to create a spiritual place that would maintain its past, but at the same time manage to follow ecological solutions in the present. The new design of the attic creates a sacred place, in which we realize the importance of faith and the peace of God. The cathedral is open to the general public ? religious people from all over the world come here to experience the love, joy and happiness that the cathedral invokes. The whole attic can be described as an open space, which symbolizes infinity or immortality from the religious point of view. It represents the connection of the past, present and future. The space is designed to hold priestly celebrations and to be open for the public. It can also be used for various events, such as exhibitions of sculptures that survived the fire.

Approches 2D/2D pour le SFM à partir d'un réseau de caméras asynchrones / 2D/2D approaches for SFM using an asynchronous multi-camera network

Mhiri, Rawia 14 December 2015 (has links)
Driver assistance systems and autonomous vehicles have reached a certain maturity in recent years through the use of advanced technologies. A fundamental step for these systems is the motion and the structure estimation (Structure From Motion) that accomplish several tasks, including the detection of obstacles and road marking, localisation and mapping. To estimate their movements, such systems use relatively expensive sensors. In order to market such systems on a large scale, it is necessary to develop applications with low cost devices. In this context, vision systems is a good alternative. A new method based on 2D/2D approaches from an asynchronous multi-camera network is presented to obtain the motion and the 3D structure at the absolute scale, focusing on estimating the scale factors. The proposed method, called Triangle Method, is based on the use of three images forming a. triangle shape: two images from the same camera and an image from a neighboring camera. The algorithrn has three assumptions: the cameras share common fields of view (two by two), the path between two consecutive images from a single camera is approximated by a line segment, and the cameras are calibrated. The extrinsic calibration between two cameras combined with the assumption of rectilinear motion of the system allows to estimate the absolute scale factors. The proposed method is accurate and robust for straight trajectories and present satisfactory results for curve trajectories. To refine the initial estimation, some en-ors due to the inaccuracies of the scale estimation are improved by an optimization method: a local bundle adjustment applied only on the absolute scale factors and the 3D points. The presented approach is validated on sequences of real road scenes, and evaluated with respect to the ground truth obtained through a differential GPS. Finally, another fundamental application in the fields of driver assistance and automated driving is road and obstacles detection. A method is presented for an asynchronous system based on sparse disparity maps

Vztah Číny, Ruska a USA v období druhého prezidentství Baracka Obamy / Sino-US-Russia Relations during the Second Term of the Presidency of Barack Obama

Literáková, Adéla January 2020 (has links)
The second term of the presidency of Barack Obama was an active phase of interactions among Russia, the United States, and China. At that time, many issues came up to be able to shake the international situation (e.g., the rise of ISIS, the South China Sea issue, the THAAD, TPP, Ukrainian crisis). The author selected four issues (trade, counterterrorism, the South China Sea issue, the THAAD) to analyze how the states were interacting among themselves (Russia-US, US-China, China-Russia) and how it influenced the international order. Two basic international theories will be applied - realism and liberalism (offensive realism, neo-liberal institutionalism, economic interdependency, and theory of triangle) to understand the interactions and discuss them.

Ahnér, Anna, Jakobsson, Eva January 2022 (has links)
The general audit obligation was abolished on 1 November 2010 to simplify the administration and costs for small companies. The hope with the simplification of the rules was to strengthen the companies’ competitiveness and create growth in the economy. The audit obligation has been debated since it was abolished. Advocates in the business community want to raise the limit values for auditing obligations, that is more companies would have freedom of choice if they want an audit. While the authorities experience disadvantages such as increased financial crime and therefore want to reintroduce a general audit obligation. The purpose of the study was to examine the authorities’ attitude on how the audit obligation has affected economic crime in Sweden.  A qualitative study was constructed based on secondary and primary data. The main focus of the study is secondary data obtained through government reports, while primary data were obtained through interviews with Ekobrottsmyndigheten and Skattemyndigheten. To answer the research question, an abductive approach has been used to investigate how appropriate the theory is för elucidating connections in the empirical data material. The study is supported by the Fraud Triangle Theory which explains the causes of economic crime and the Fraud Diamond Theory which adds a fourth dimension and describes the individual’s ability to commit crime. The study revealed that the authority’s fears of increased eco-crime had taken hold, but that it was not possible to determine how much the eco-crime had increased since the audit obligation was abolished. Which is because economic crimes are complex and depend on a number of factors. The study also shows that more than one possibility of crime, such as general audit obligation, is required for a crime to be realized, which is in line with Diamond Fraud Theory. Many authorities still have an opinion that the audit obligation should be reintroduced, as the business community needs some form of support and control. The general audit obligation can probably not be reintroduced in view of international competition. The authorities are therefore proposing alternative measures to limit economic crime.

Platform governance triangle: Případ Nařízení Evropské unie o prevenci šíření teroristického obsahu online / Platform governance triangle: The case of the EU Regulation on preventing the dissemination of illegal terrorist content online

Miksová, Karolína January 2021 (has links)
The thesis focuses on the relationship between the European Union and platform companies, and it tries to explore a debate about binding regulations regarding the moderation of illegal content online. The Regulation on preventing the dissemination of illegal terrorist content online from 2018 was applied as the case to test the arguments. The thesis applies the concept of platform governance triangle to analyse whether the Regulation has the potential to be effective. The research argues that the effectiveness of the Regulation depends on the actors competencies, the legitimation of the Regulation and how it was contested during the decision-making process, and finally on the power relations between actors and the tools to monitor and enforce the Regulation. The research shows that the EU has extensive competencies in areas of independence, representativeness and expertise due to the work of EU specialised agencies. Platform companies, on the other hand, possess unique technical competencies to moderate terrorist content online. Furthermore the specific design of the Regulation, and the fact that it was designed under the ordinary legislative procedure and was contested by various actors, suggest the Regulation is legitimate. Finally, the monitoring and enforcement tools in terms of sanctions could...

Using Artificial Intelligence in Everyday Management of Diabetes Type 1 : A Cross Sectional Study of the Role of AI for Individual Patients

Livman, Sofia, Josefsson, Benjamin January 2022 (has links)
Diabetes type 1 is an autoimmune, incurable disease which requires careful monitoring and treatment to not result in life threatening complications. Managing the disease is to a great extent made by the patients themselves, implying the disease needs to be constantly taken into consideration when doing even the most simple and regular everyday tasks and activities. This study aims to examine the use of AI in everyday treatment for patients with diabetes type 1. The study investigated what areas AI is already used in diabetes care management, and where there is room for development. The purpose is to give an indication of what role AI has and potentially can have in making the life for patients with diabetes type 1 easier. The research was conducted by a combined literature review and a cross sectional multiple case-study, with semi-structured interviews with people diagnosed with diabetes type 1. The gathered data were analyzed in relation to the triangle of diabetes management and technology acceptance model 2. The first indicates what factors are of highest relevance to not create dangerous situations for a diabetic, and the second relates to whether users would accept the use of a complex technology. The result suggested wide current and further potential use of AI in creating functionality in treatment and everyday management of the disease. Further, it became evident that technological tools simplify the lives of diabetics but there are several areas where AI could be further implemented in order to improve it even further.

Studie rekonstrukce tramvajové tratě v ulici Veveří / Study of Tram Track in the Veveří Street

Nováková, Anna-Marie January 2022 (has links)
This thesis deals with the relocation of the tram line No. 12 from Kounicova to Veveří Street in Brno city. The No. 12 line will run together with lines No. 3 and No. 11. The proposed line is run in the local communications area. At the intersection of Veveří with Pod Kaštany Street, line No. 12 will be disconnected using the tram triangle, then it will run along Pod Kaštany and Šumavská Streets to Kounicova Street, where it will be reconnected to the original line and with the help of another tram triangle there will be a possibility to continue by the planned track along Šumavská Street. The goal of this thesis is to propose a design of tram superstructure construction, provide a solution for surrounding roads and propose the location of stops, including access to them.
