Estudo de desempenho do sistema 3G 1xEV-DO atraves de modelos reais de trafego / Performance study of the 3G 1xEV-DO system through traffic real models

Marques, Leandro Bento Sena 05 August 2018 (has links)
Orientador: Shusaburo Motoyama / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de Engenharia Eletrica e de Computação / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-05T03:22:31Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 Marques_LeandroBentoSena_M.pdf: 2511927 bytes, checksum: 046043b18faff2ea54b0ccb236d8ae9b (MD5) Previous issue date: 2005 / Resumo: Neste trabalho é apresentado um estudo do desempenho do enlace direto do sistema 1xEV-DO. The forward link performance study of the 1xEV- DO system is presented in this work. The study emphasizes the impact of the adoption of the real traf c mode1s such as HTTP, FTP and WAP and several different schedulers. The average packet delay, the throughput and each traf c loss percentage are analyzed through simulation in function of traf c load. It is adopted in this study schedulers FIFO, with priority, WFQ and DRR. The results show that standardized 1xEV-DO system allows data transmission at high bits rates. It is also shown that the system performance can still enhanced by introducing others schedulers / Mestrado / Telecomunicações e Telemática / Mestre em Engenharia Elétrica

Innovative Marketing Trends as a Response to the Changing Consumers / Innovative Marketing Trends as a Response to the Changing Consumers

Keskin, Kaan January 2012 (has links)
In recent years, innovation and the subsequent technological advancements have gained significance in shaping consumer behavior to a disruptive extent. Especially with the advancements in mobile technology, consumer behaviors shifted towards an elevated expectation of mobility and increased interactivity. Marketers who seek a better degree of access to the consumer market and provide customer satisfaction needed to adopt new tools and methods in communication, which would align with their target groups more effectively. Mobile marketing emerged as an innovative technique that is based on and driven by this change in consumer behavior; therefore it is necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of its approach and implementation. In this light, this research paper employs a quantitative approach based on the results' analysis of an online survey conducted by the Author of the thesis, aimed at testing whether there is a strong correlation between mobile marketing efforts and customer satisfaction. Consequently, one can conclude that the same mobile devices that serve as convenience for consumers, serve as an effective channel of communication for marketers, whereas with an integrated approach where other components of the marketing mix support mobile content, the likeliness of attaining consumer satisfaction is higher.

Orientador: Shusaburo Motoyama / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de Engenharia Eletrica e de Computação / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-06T08:13:44Z (GMT). In this study, the forward link performance 01' the I xEV -DV system is analyzed through simulations. and the average packet delay, the data throughput and the link utilization are evaluated in function of the system traffic load. For the simulations, it was developed in Matlab software tool, a model that represents the I xEV -DV radio base station processing and scheduling, before the aerial interfaee transmission. and the mode1s based in real data traffic WAP, HTTP and FTP. The forward link 01' the I xEV -DV system is analyzed in scenarios that consider FIFO scheduling and data rate priority scheduling, showing the average packet delay reduction in the system with priority. Besides, it is possible to verify and quantify the efficiency of the code division multiplexing (CDM) implementation besides the time division muItiplexing (TDM) in the forward link. The results of IxEV-OV system with WAP, HTTP and FTP traffic are also compared with the results obtained with Poisson traffic, showing the differences and the importance of the real data traffic models utilization / Mestrado / Telecomunicações e Telemática / Mestre em Engenharia Elétrica
