In Italy in 1528 the famous author Baldassare Castiglione published the book Il Cortegiano. In words Castiglione portraits the ideal courtiers and provides a lot of advice on how to achieve the ultimate courtier manner. For example he introduces and explains the words sprezzatura and grazia. His advice spread from Italy and influenced the courts around Europe.  My purpose with this study has been two folded. Firstly, I have analysed Castigliones Il Cortegiano in order to examine his vision of virtues and ideals. Castiglione’s advice on the perfect courtier is several and the book is quite extensive. In order to make his advice clear I have arranged these under five headings: noble birth, ideals of a gentleman, beautiful character, warlike virtues and book learning. Furthermore, I have analysed four portraits of Swedish rulers. The portraits are as follows: Johan Baptista van Uther’s portrait of Johan III produced in 1582, Matthaeus Merian’s picture of Gustav II Adolf from 1632, David Beck’s portrait of queen Kristina produced in 1650 and finally David Klöcker Ehrenstrahl’s portrait of the riding Karl XI from 1682. Finally, I have applied Castiglione’s advice on the portraits in order to study how well they conform.   The study has shown that many of the ideal and virtues emphasized by Castiglione are similar to many of those highlighted in the portraits. The idea of a beautiful soul in a controlled body seems to run like a thread through the selected portraits as well as in Castiglione’s advice on how to be an ideal courtier. In conclusion, many of the ideals stressed by Castiglione in sixteenth century Italy also inspired Swedish sovereigns. His advice also seems to have survived in the seventeenth century, if nonetheless in other forms.

On November 18th 2011, China enact detail rules on the management of governmental vehicle procurement list. Few months later, on February 24th 2012, an unprecedented governmental vehicle procurement list was published. The procurement list includes 412 types of vehicles which are all China's own brands. This research analyzes the effect of this governmental vehicle procurement list on the sales of listed vehicle given the background of Xi Jinping's anti-corruption campaign. The empirical evidence shows that when Xi Jinping launched preliminary policy in December 2012, increased sales of vehicle being on the procurement list in 2013 are averagely 45.5 cars per month more compared to increased sales of unlisted vehicles. Also, the market share of listed vehicle can be witnessed a steady increase over time.

The purpose of this paper has been to analyse the use of soft and hard powerby The People´s Republic of China on the Commonwealth of Australiaduring the period of 2012-2022 which also has been the time when XiJinping has held the power in China. With the use of the concept of softpower introduced by Joseph Nye and hard power, the paper furtheroperationalize these types of power into several resources which are analysedto see how Chinas use of power against Australia has developed during the10-year period. The result of the paper shows that Chinas use of soft andhard power against has become more aggressive due to political developmentin China and the worsening of diplomatic relationship between the states.Furthermore, the study also shows that Chinas use of soft power are distinctto that of other states.

第一章：採討山西傳統的教育概況，以甲午戰役為界線。前期的山西教育場所除書院 略具教育功能外，儒學、社學及義學辦理成績不佳。自光緒二十八年以後，各級新式 學堂積極籌辦，在有限的經費下，山西撫衙做了最大的努力。 第二章：首述民國早期山西的政治領導者─閰錫山的政治生涯，次論他本人的教育思 想。 第三章：民國早期山西的初等教育最發達，尤其是義務教育最具特色。中等教育所辦 的成績平平。高等等教育中大學一所、專門學校四所，均能發揮培養高級專業人才的 功能。 第四章：清末山西的實業教育並不發達，至民國以後經過政府的整頓，亦迅速發展起 來，尤其重視一般人民謀生技能的訓練。師範教育仍偏重在短期師範傳習所的辦理。 留學教育中，以留日學生最多，同時政府亦積極鼓勵之。社會教育在民國早期頗具特 色，一方面增加人民的識字能力，一方培養人民良好的道德。 第五章：民國早期山西的教育受到政治環境的影響，經費極不充裕，因此一方面靠省 政府的支持，另一方面則靠各界人士的贊助。

The diploma thesis will focus on the life and work of bishop Simon Barta (1864-1940) in the period 1920-1940, when this Church dignitary headed the diocese of Ceske Budejovice. It will be based on the sources of the central and regional archives, which, with the knowledge of the specialized literature, will put Barth's life in the historical and religious context of the First and Second Czechoslovak Republic and the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, and reconstructing the bishop's activity. The student will work with analytic-synthetic, comparative and heuristic methods that will allow him to plastically portray Barth's action in an adequate religious context of the history of the 20th century.
