Ochrana soukromí na Internetu / Internet privacy protection

Malina, Lukáš January 2010 (has links)
Anonymous authentication is a mean of authorizing a user without leakage of user personal information. The technology of Anonymous Authentication Systems (AAS) provides privacy of the user and yet preserves the security of the system. This thesis presents the basic cryptographic primitives, which can provide anonymous authentication. Among these primitives there are usually some asymmetric cryptosystems, but an essential part of anonymous authentication is based on zero knowledge protocols, blind signature schemes, threshold group schemes, etc., that are presented in Chapter 1. Generally, Anonymous Authentication Systems have application as electronic coin, electronic cash, group signatures, anonymous access systems, electronic vote, etc., which are analyzed and presented in Chapters 2 and 3. In the practical section, the implementation (in the environment .NET in C#) of the AAS system is presented and described in Chapter 4, which is being developed at the FEEC BUT.

Analyzing and Enhancing Routing Protocols for Friend-to-Friend Overlays

Roos, Stefanie 09 August 2016 (has links) (PDF)
The threat of surveillance by governmental and industrial parties is more eminent than ever. As communication moves into the digital domain, the advances in automatic assessment and interpretation of enormous amounts of data enable tracking of millions of people, recording and monitoring their private life with an unprecedented accurateness. The knowledge of such an all-encompassing loss of privacy affects the behavior of individuals, inducing various degrees of (self-)censorship and anxiety. Furthermore, the monopoly of a few large-scale organizations on digital communication enables global censorship and manipulation of public opinion. Thus, the current situation undermines the freedom of speech to a detrimental degree and threatens the foundations of modern society. Anonymous and censorship-resistant communication systems are hence of utmost importance to circumvent constant surveillance. However, existing systems are highly vulnerable to infiltration and sabotage. In particular, Sybil attacks, i.e., powerful parties inserting a large number of fake identities into the system, enable malicious parties to observe and possibly manipulate a large fraction of the communication within the system. Friend-to-friend (F2F) overlays, which restrict direct communication to parties sharing a real-world trust relationship, are a promising countermeasure to Sybil attacks, since the requirement of establishing real-world trust increases the cost of infiltration drastically. Yet, existing F2F overlays suffer from a low performance, are vulnerable to denial-of-service attacks, or fail to provide anonymity. Our first contribution in this thesis is concerned with an in-depth analysis of the concepts underlying the design of state-of-the-art F2F overlays. In the course of this analysis, we first extend the existing evaluation methods considerably, hence providing tools for both our and future research in the area of F2F overlays and distributed systems in general. Based on the novel methodology, we prove that existing approaches are inherently unable to offer acceptable delays without either requiring exhaustive maintenance costs or enabling denial-of-service attacks and de-anonymization. Consequentially, our second contribution lies in the design and evaluation of a novel concept for F2F overlays based on insights of the prior in-depth analysis. Our previous analysis has revealed that greedy embeddings allow highly efficient communication in arbitrary connectivity-restricted overlays by addressing participants through coordinates and adapting these coordinates to the overlay structure. However, greedy embeddings in their original form reveal the identity of the communicating parties and fail to provide the necessary resilience in the presence of dynamic and possibly malicious users. Therefore, we present a privacy-preserving communication protocol for greedy embeddings based on anonymous return addresses rather than identifying node coordinates. Furthermore, we enhance the communication’s robustness and attack-resistance by using multiple parallel embeddings and alternative algorithms for message delivery. We show that our approach achieves a low communication complexity. By replacing the coordinates with anonymous addresses, we furthermore provably achieve anonymity in the form of plausible deniability against an internal local adversary. Complementary, our simulation study on real-world data indicates that our approach is highly efficient and effectively mitigates the impact of failures as well as powerful denial-of-service attacks. Our fundamental results open new possibilities for anonymous and censorship-resistant applications.

Vallet, Laurent 18 September 2012 (has links)
This thesis aims to strengthen the protection of privacy of authors in collaborative editing of electronic documents. The first part of our work consisted in the design a secured model for a collaborative document editor. Documents' confidentiality is ensured through a decentralized access control mechanism. A second part of the work was to protect the identity of communicating users by ensuring their anonymity during collaborative document editing. Our concept of collaborative editor is based on the use of sets of modifications for a document, which we call textit{deltas}. Thus, deltas define versions of the document and they can keep the history of subsequent modifications. When a new version of a document appears, only the new delta that results must be transmitted and stored : documents are thus distributed across a set of storage sites (servers). We show how this allows, first, to reduce the load of document version control system, and secondly, to improve overall security of the collaborative system. Decentralized recovery of a new version requires only recovery of appropriate deltas against a previous version and is therefore more efficient than recovering the entire document. The information of the link between deltas is stored directly with deltas and not in a table or a metadata object, that improves their security. The version control system maintains consistency between versions. Once a user has retrieved versions, she holds them in local, and the history can be accessed at any time without being necessary to connect to the central server. Deltas can be identified, indexed and maintained their integrity through the use of hash functions.

Schulman och Glöm mig - mellan fiktion och autenticitet : En litteraturvetenskaplig läsning av alkoholismens roll i Glöm mig med fokus på självframställning, tematik och samband mellan fiktion och verklighet / Schulman and Glöm mig - between fiction and authenticity : A literature scientific comparison reading of alcoholism in Glöm mig with focus on the self description and the relation between fiction and reality

Khan, Nadim January 2019 (has links)
This essay has a focus on self description and alcoholism as a literary function in Alex Schulman’s Glöm mig. Similarities between the book Alcoholics Anonymous (Stora Boken) and the twelve step programme (Tolvstegsprogrammet) is based on how the narrative could be characterized by the authenticity of the disease portrayal. The connection between the narrative and Alcoholics Anonymous is compared with how the main characters are portrayed and how alcoholism functions in the book. The study reveals that the story could most likely be percieved as an accurate portrayal of alcoholism as a disease, due to certain cirumstances. The connection between the testimonies of alcoholism as a disease in Alcoholics Anonymous and the narrative is an important parallel as it can strengthen the story’s credibility. It’s possible to interpret the story as a testimony from someone in close relationship to an alcoholic. An authentic story like this occurs frequently in Swedish contemporary literature and could be one of the reasons behind the novel’s commercial breakthrough. The privileged position of the author should be considered as a contributing factor leading to the positive public reactions when the novel was published. It should also be considered as having an impact on the reader’s perception of the autobiographic novel’s credibility. It’s probable that, due to these circumstances, the line between a true story and a fictional one, could be dissolved for the reader. In connection with the circumstances with Schulman’s authorship, a number of factors that may impact the reading of the book, have been presented. These are explained in comparison to other authors with similar backgrounds, who have been publishing books about similiar topics.

The users’ activities on Yiguan : An Audience Analysis on An Anonymous Social Media

Sun, Yiman January 2019 (has links)
Yiguan is a new-emerging mobile application which is popular in China. Different from the traditional social media, Yiguan enables users to have interaction and communications anonymously online. Compared to other anonymous social media, Yiguan is nether proximity-based nor tie-based. The identity of Yiguan users can be completely anonymous. Users will not have a personal profile and home pages on Yiguan. Anonymity makes it possible that users wear masks when they present themselves and interact with others. It is possible for them to get rid of the constraint, escaping from repetitive everyday life. This thesis based on the empirical qualitative research, conduct an audience analysis on Yiguan’s users. I’d like to explore what users do on Yiguan and how they utilize the space of Yiguan. This thesis wishes to identify the activities of users on Yiguan, and explore the characteristics of user’s activities. Combing the critical theories from Mead, Goffman, and Walther, this thesis will provide a vivid sketch of users on Yiguan.

Princípio do melhor interesse da criança: construção teórica e aplicação prática no direito brasileiro / The principle of the best interest of the child: theoretical construction and practical usage in Brazilian law.

Colucci, Camila Fernanda Pinsinato 21 May 2014 (has links)
This research aimed to study the principle of the best interest of the child, both in theory and in practice, in an attempt to conclude whether it is possible or not to adopt predetermined criteria to be followed in making decisions on issues involving children and adolescents. In the first part, theoretical, the content of the best interest was studied, as well as the possibility of understanding it as a rule of interpretation, fundamental right or principle. The second part, practical, sought to analyze how the courts have been deciding issues involving the best interest. In doing so, some institutes were selected (guardianship, adoption, anonymous childbirth, visits and education). The analysis of the guardianship passed by differentiating between placement in foster family and its assignment to one of the parents in case of separation. The possibility of assigning it to a third person and the imposition of shared custody were discussed. The visitation rights in case when the custody has been awarded to only one parent was studied. The research was extended to the hypothesis of granting this right to friends, stepfathers, stepmothers and godfathers or godmothers. The research studied Brazilian, intuitu personae and international adoptions, as well as the possibility of adoption by homosexual couples. Although non-existing under Brazilian law, the anonymous childbirth was analyzed to observe if it is viable and needed in our system. Finally, the right of education was studied, and aspects such as the possibility of homeschooling, transportation of children to their schools and the requiring of vacancies in childcare facilities were highlighted.

The tenderness of my feelings: female alcohol dependence as represented by men and women in alcohol rehabilitation

Luccas, Vívian Nara Bracco 09 November 2015 (has links)
Revelando que não necessariamente tem havido um crescimento da dependência alcoólica entre as mulheres, mas sim, um aumento da visibilidade social do grupo / ABSTRACT: Epidemiological studies have shown an increase in alcohol consumption and alcohol dependence among women, a problem that had so far been predominantly associated with the male population. This investigation not only starts with that realization but also problematizes it as we observe that the female emancipation process has brought to the social scene a character that had long remained invisible: the alcoholic woman. This qualitative study, based on the socio-anthropological literature about the health-illness process and on the gender perspective, looks into female alcohol dependence. It aims to understand the senses and meanings of female alcohol dependence among alcoholic men and women in Alcoholics Anonymous rehabilitation. To that end, field work has been carried out at five AA units located close to the central region of the city of Campinas. From March to September, 2013, the groups were regularly visited and 17 of their participants (8 men and 9 women) were interviewed. The field work results point to an increase in women\'s search for institutional help to get anti-alcoholic treatment. Other findings indicate that, even though women\'s access to spaces of anti-alcoholic treatment has broadened, some negative and prejudiced social representations about female alcohol dependence remain strong and constrain women\'s insertion and permanence in the five alcohol rehabilitation services that were studied. Nevertheless, the analysis of the AA institution and its members\' interviews, both men and women, suggests that the AA is neither conservative nor sexist in its origin. It seems that the negative conceptions regarding alcoholic women emerge from the social universe external to the group, incorporated and replicated by the alcoholics, particularly men, making it difficult for women to integrate into the studied groups. The research findings establish a dialogue with the academic production and debate on the alcoholic woman in the alcohol study field. They reveal that, rather than an increase in alcohol dependence among women, there has been a rise in the social visibility of this group

"Utilização do acamprosato no tratamento de dependentes de álcool" / Use of acamprosate in the treatment of alcohol-dependent outpatients

Baltieri, Danilo Antonio 25 November 2002 (has links)
The efficacy and security of acamprosate were evaluated in the treatment of 75 men, between 18 and 59 years of age, with diagnosis of alcohol dependence by ICD-10. It was a double-blind, placebo controlled study, 24 weeks long. Patients with disorders that should be treated in an inpatient setting, using psychiatric medications, relating previous psychoses without alcohol use and with hipersensibility to acamprosate were excluded. After a one-week detoxification period, the patients were randomily divided in two groups: the first group received acamprosate (6 tablets of 333 mg a day during 12 weeks) and the second group received placebo (6 tablets during 12 weeks). After the first 12 weeks, the patients continued the follow-up for 12 weeks more without medication. The groups were compared in terms of depressive symptoms, use of alcohol, side effects of medications and laboratory tests. 25% of patients who were receiving acamprosate dropped out, whereas 20% of the placebo-treated patients dropped out of the study. Patients who were receiving acamprosate showed significantly higher continuous abstinence rate within the 24 weeks of treatment compared with patients who were assigned to placebo treatment (57% versus 25%, p = 0,014), and they had significantly longer mean abstinence duration of 18,8 weeks versus 12 weeks abstinent (p = 0,003). Few side effects were related. Acamprosate proved to be safe and an effective aid in the treatment of alcohol dependent patients and in maintaining the abstinence of patients during 24 weeks.
