Autobiografie v komiksech a literatuře / Autobiography in comic books and literature

This thesis concerns with the literary theory of autobiography and its use for comics. The goal is to try to modify literary theory for comics and apply it in practical analysis. The fundamental theoretical framework constitutes of The autobiographical Pact by Philippe Lejeune and a theory of paratexts according to Gérard Genette. In practical analysis the thesis bases on the comparison of comics with literary work and uses the knowledge acquired in the theoretical part. The emphasis is put on designing of autobiographical pact and on para- and metatexts which are connected to both of the books. Teachers with learning disabilities : identifying the professional self by analysing the autobiographic story and the reflective feedback on practice

This research examined the stories of three teachers with learning disabilities at the inception of their teaching careers. The research explored the composition of the teacher's professional knowledge, described in the literature as consisting of academic knowledge and personal knowledge. Would the teacher with learning disabilities express her painful childhood school memories in her presentday professional deliberations, as is indicated in the literature relating to case descriptions and research studies? The research question was: what does the 'personal self' of the teacher with learning disabilities at the inception of her career contribute to her 'professional self'? Assisted by the narrative approach that sees a person as creating stories that structure and express his identity, the teachers' stories were collected, recorded and later analysed by interpretative analysis which related to the story's structure and contents. Research data were collected from three sources: the autobiographical story of the teacher presenting personal memories and interpretation for past life events, which illustrate the teacher's interpersonal self and the intrapersonal self. The teacher's reflective feedback regarding her lessons, presented the teacher's interpretations of her professional considerations and a description of an educational event from her work revealed her educativevalue world. All these demonstrated her professional knowledge. The research findings show that coherence exists between the personal story and the professional story and the organising positioning in each of the teacher's stories was identified. It was found that the professional considerations of the teacher, including didactic knowledge, pedagogic knowledge, use of reasoned rules and reading the class map, acted on a background of knowledge that was gathered from the 'personal self' and this enriched the teacher's 'professional self' at the inception of her career.

By approaching reality through a personal perspective, the artist shifts the narrative focus from the outer world to his subject´s private world, placing himself as a character. Thus, the depiction of reality becomes metaphorical and memoirist, expanding classic documentaries instrumental language. First person accounts, which also includes self-ethnography, has allowed social minorities to express themselves, since they did not feel accurately portrayed by mass communication vehicles. In this work, part of the Media Analyses research, we intend to examine first person documentaries in both its form and its contents, by: identifying the audiovisual mechanisms that were used to translate and communicate a private reality to the audience; analyzing the connection between subject and object in a selfethnography documentary in which there cannot be partiality; investigating in which sense the work blurs the limit between documentary and fiction, creating a kind of hybrid audio-visual account, examining the ways in which the first person character becomes part of an audio-visual work. Our methodology consists on a bibliographic and filmic research, whose focus is the analysis of the self-ethnographic method. Audio-visual theorists served as reference for this research, such as: Machado, Renov, Nichols, Da-Rin, Bellour, Dubois, McLuhan, Voguel, Russel, MacDougall, Bernardet, Labaki, Lins, Sibilia, Citron. The hybridization process was examined through the work of Pinheiro and Gruzinski. The artist creation, by the critical genetic study done by Salles. Reflections on the death-image relationship were supported by the work of Debray, Morin, Barthes e Becker. The presence of the body in the work was examined in the writings of Mello, Nagib, Azzi, Schefer, Roth. This research corpus is composed of the following works: Tarnation (Caouette. USA, 2003); The Long Holiday (Der Keuke. Holanda, 2000); Gokushiteki erosu: Renka, 1974 (Hara. Japan, 1974). This selection was done minding each chapter´s theme (family, death, body). Despite being intimate narratives, they reveal a dynamic subjectivity whose range includes social and political issues. The works analyzed show a complex audio-visual language, thus consolidating the notion that documentary and realism are not synonyms. We understand that this research can contribute to a better understanding of the documentary concept as a creative treatment of actuality , as defined by John Grierson in the 1930´s / Resumo: Esta pesquisa tem como objeto de estudo o documentário em primeira pessoa. Trata-se do tipo de obra audiovisual em que o autor aponta a câmera para si e conta a própria história. Por abordar a realidade a partir de uma perspectiva pessoal, o artista desloca o foco narrativo do mundo exterior para o mundo íntimo do sujeito, assumindo-se como personagem da obra. A representação da realidade ganha um caráter metafórico e memorialista, expandindo a linguagem instrumental do documentário clássico. Esse tipo de relato em primeira pessoa, que também inclui a autoetnografia, tornou-se uma ferramenta de expressão para as minorias sociais, que não se sentiam bem representadas pelos veículos de comunicação de massa. Com este estudo, objetivamos investigar o documentário em primeira pessoa em seus aspectos de forma e conteúdo: identificamos os mecanismos da linguagem audiovisual que foram utilizados para traduzir e comunicar ao público uma realidade privada; analisamos como acontece a relação entre sujeito/objeto em um documentário autoetnográfico em que não existe imparcialidade possível; investigamos em que sentido a obra borra a fronteira entre documentário/ficção, gerando uma forma de relato audiovisual híbrido; examinamos as formas como o eu inscreve-se em uma obra audiovisual; fizemos um mapeamento de relatos íntimos do audiovisual. Para tanto, a metodologia adotada foi um mapeamento bibliográfico e filmográfico, focado, por seu turno, na análise do método autoetnográfico. Teóricos ligados às questões do audiovisual referenciaram esta pequisa, tais como: Machado, Renov, Nichols, Da-Rin, Bellour, Dubois, McLuhan, Voguel, Russel, MacDougall, Bernardet, Labaki, Lins, Sibilia, Citron. O processos de hibridização são tratados através dos textos de Pinheiro e Gruzinski. A criação do artista foi abordada pelo estudo de crítica genética de Salles. Debray, Morin, Barthes e Becker fundamentaram as reflexões acerca da relação morte/imagem. A inscrição do corpo na obra foi analisada com fundamento nos textos de Mello, Nagib, Azzi, Schefer, Roth. O corpus desta pesquisa é constituído das seguintes obras: Tarnation (Caouette. USA, 2003); Férias Prolongadas (Der Keuke. Holanda, 2000); Gokushiteki erosu: Renka, 1974 (Hara. Japão, 1974). Esse recorte foi feito a partir dos temas tratados em cada capítulo (família, morte, corpo). Apesar de serem relatos íntimos, revelam uma subjetividade dinâmica, que se amplia para o terreno sócio/político. As obras analisadas possuem uma complexa linguagem audiovisual, que ratifica a ideia de que documentário não é sinônimo de realismo. Bakgrund: Cirka 20 % av Sveriges kvinnor uppger att de någon gång i livet blivit utsatta för våld i nära relationer. Misshandel kan uttrycka sig både fysiskt och psykiskt, vilket skapar ett lidande hos kvinnan vars självbild blir förvriden. Hälso- och sjukvården kan komma i kontakt med dessa kvinnor och kan ha en betydande roll för deras upplevelser av stöd och hjälp. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva kvinnors erfarenheter av att leva i en våldsutsatt relation. Metod: En induktiv ansats valdes där datamaterialet bestående av självbiografier analyseras med kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultat: Ur analysen av datamaterialet framkom tre kategorier så som; börjar skönja partners våldsamma egenskaper trots ett kärleksfullt förhållande, känslomässigt kaos och vägen ur våldet och den efterföljande processen med nio underkategorier. Slutsats: Genom kvinnors erfarenheter av att leva i våldsutsatta relationer kan sjuksköterskan få fördjupad kunskap kring ämnet som kan bidra till att skapa tillit och tro för dessa kvinnor i mötet med vården. / Background: About 20% of Sweden's women say that they have ever been exposed toviolence in close relationships. Maltreatment and violence can be expressed bothphysically and mentally which creates suffering in their self-image whose can be distorted.Women´s experiences can be helpful and play an important role for healthcare professionalin order to support and help the women. Aim: The purpose was to describe women'sexperiences of living in a violent relationship. Method: An inductive approach was chosenwhere the data consisting of autobiographies were analyzed using qualitative contentanalysis.Findings: The analysis revealed three categories; begins to recognize partners´ violentqualities despite a loving relationship, emotional chaos and the way out of violence andsubsequent process. These three categories created nine subcategories. Conclusion:Through women´s experiences of living in violent relationships, the nurse can gain indepthknowledge of the subject that can help to build trust and faith in these women in thecare of the careers.

Bakgrund: Var tredje kvinna runt om i världen har någon gång blivit utsatt för fysiskt eller psykiskt våld och majoriteten lever i ett partnerskap med sin förövare. Konsekvenserna av att leva med våld i en nära relation skapar ohälsa och lidande hos kvinnan. Sjuksköterskan har en väsentlig roll i att upptäcka våld i nära relationer och därmed kunna ge ett förtroendeingivande stöd och adekvat hjälp.   Syfte: Att beskriva kvinnors erfarenheter av att leva som våldsutsatt i en nära relation. Metod: En narrativ metod av Dahlborg- Lyckhage. Resultat: Ur analysen av datamaterialet framkom tre huvudkategorier; Succesivt nedbruten självkänsla, utnyttjad i beroendeställning till mannen och Vägen ut med fem underkategorier. Slutsats: Studien har bidragit till ökad förståelse kring kvinnors erfarenheter av att leva med våld i nära relationer så att sjuksköterskan kan skapa trygghet i det vårdande mötet. / Background: Every third woman around the world has been subjected to physical or mental violence and the majority lives in a partnership with her perpetrator. The consequences of living with violence in a close relationship creates ill health and suffering. The nurses has an essential role in detecting violence in a close relationship and thus being able to provide trusting support and adequate help. Aim: To describe women's experiences of living as a victim of violence in a close relationship. Method: A narrative method by Dahlborg-Lyckhage. Findings: Three main categories emerged from the analysis; Gradually degraded self-esteem, Abused and dependant to the spouse and Way out with five subcategories. Conclusion: The study has contributed to increased understanding of women's experiences of living with violence in a close relationship so that the nurses can create security in the caring meeting.

O objeto deste trabalho são os diários de Miguel Torga. Estabelecidas, de início, a distinção entre o discurso histórico e o literário, as peculiaridades do diário entre as demais formas de literatura autobiográfica e as causas do intenso proceder intimista do homem contemporâneo, buscou-se, em seguida, analisar a escrita diarística de Miguel Torga, destacando os eus que dela sobressaem e, dentre eles, o eu predominante, e verificar a ascendência do discurso literário em relação ao histórico, seja, a força poética sobre as demais funções de linguagem, em sua obra. / The object of this work are the journals of Miguel Torga. Having established, initially, the difference between the historical and the literary discourses, the peculiarities of the journal in relation to the other forms of autobiographic literature and the causes of the intense search for intimacy of the contemporary man, this investigation pursued to analyze Miguel Torgas journal production, highlighting the poetic selves therein and, among them, the predominant poetic self, and to verify the prevalence of the literary discourse in relation to the historical, or, as otherwise put, the overwhelming poetic strength with regard to the other functions of speech in his production.

Para tanto, foram elencados os seguintes objetivos: verificar se/quais conflitos de identidade racial aparecem nas produções de alunas(os) negras(os) e brancas(os); identificar o papel da escola e outras instituições e/ou meios na (re)construção da(s) identidade(s) raciais e analisar como uma SD com o gênero relato autobiográfico, com a perspectiva do letramento racial crítico e da educação antirracista pode contribuir para a construção da identidade étnico-racial. Os conceitos de raça na perspectiva sociológica foram retomados, trazendo a concepção de raça como uma construção histórica e cultural, a partir de autores como Gomes (2005, 2012); Guimarães (1999, 2011) e Munanga (1994, 1999, 2005, 2005) dessa área. Discuti branqueamento, branquidade e branquitude, embasada em autores da área da Psicologia como: Bento (2014); Piza (2005, 2014); Cardoso (2008; 2010; 2011; 2014) da área de Ciências Sociais. A concepção de identidade foi baseada em autores como: Hall (2011) e Moita Lopes(2002). Focalizei a construção da identidade de adolescentes e jovens, pois são os sujeitos desta pesquisa. A opção metodológica foi a pesquisa-intervenção, com a perspectiva do letramento racial crítico e a educação antirracista, com aplicação de uma SD, e o relato autobiográfico, que foi instrumento de geração de dados, assim como o diário de bordo. Da área de Linguagens, referenciei-me em autores como: Ferreira (2006, 2009, 2014, 2015) e Moita Lopes (1992, 2002, 2006). As (os) alunas (os) expressaram suas identidades étnico-raciais por emio dos relatos, partindo de recordações de como se deram conta de que eram negras (os) brancas (os). À medida que contaram se tinham pensado alguma vez sobre sua cor de pele, foram trazendo lembranças que as (os) fizeram ter a percepção de sua raça. Pela análise dos dados, foi possível observar alguns conflitos de identidade como o branqueamento e o discurso da hegemonia racial, contradizendo-se com afirmações de que a cor da pele influencia em como foram/são tratados. O papel da escola entre instituições e /ou meios que contribuíram para a construção das identidades foi reafirmada, reiterando a importância da educação para as relações étnico-raciais. Pudemos concluir com esta pesquisa que através de um trabalho na perspectiva do letramento racial crítico e da educação antirracista é possível ressignificar a branquitude, contribuindo assim para a formação de cidadãos críticos que possam construir um mundo menos excludente. / It´s a study of language research and aims to investigate how black and white students of a public school of the state of Paraná express their ethical-racial identities throughout autobiographical reports. In order to achieve this research it was established the following objectives: verify if such ethical-racial conflicts are put in spotlight in their productions; identify the school role and other institutions or means of construction of racial identities and analyze how a following teaching with the gender autobiographic reports with the perspective of the racial critical literacy and anti-racist education can contribute for building up ethical racial identity. The concepts of race in the sociological perspective are resumed and they bring the conception of race as a historical and cultural construction. The scaffolding of this research is based on authors as Gomes (2005, 2012), Guimarães (1999,2001) and Munanga (1994, 1999, 2005, 2005). It is discussed whitening and whiteness based on authors of the area of psychology as Bento (2014), Piza (2005, 2014) and Cardoso (2008, 2010, 2011, 2014) from Social Science area. The conception of identity is based on authors as Hall (2011) and Moita Lopes (2002). The area of languages is referenced by authors as Ferreira (2006, 2009, 2014, 2015) and Moita Lopes (1992, 2002, 2006). The students expressed their ethical-racial identities through reports which they picked up from recordings of how they became aware of their tone of skin. As far as they told if they had thought about their skin color they brought their memories about the perception of their ethnicity or race. Through the analyzed data it was possible to observe some conflicts of identity as whitening and the discourse of racial hegemony contradicting some affirmations that their skin color has influenced as they are/were treated. The school role among institutions and or means that have contributed for building up their identities were reaffirmed, emphasizing the importance of education for ethical racial relationships. We concluded through this research that working in the perspective of racial critical literacy and anti-racist education it is possible to resignify the whiteness as well as contribute to the formation of critical citizens who are able to build a less excluding world.

As escritas íntimas passaram por diversas mudanças no decorrer da história das sociedades e também da literatura. Acompanhando as mudanças sofridas pelo sujeito e a forma como o mesmo se relaciona com o mundo, as escritas íntimas se integraram e se modificaram, associando-se, mais recentemente, às novas modalidades de comunicação e à atuação das variadas mídias, que colaboram com o delinear da conjunção entre os elementos públicos e os privados. Na literatura, essas alterações foram percebidas e aproveitadas como forma de produção. A crônica aparece como foco de análise deste trabalho, pois ganha destaque no cenário atual por ser um formato capaz de atender ao dinamismo contemporâneo e se estruturar associando a fala pessoal ao coletivo, integrando os espaços íntimos aos públicos e construindo a relação de proximidade entre autor e leitor, comum na atualidade.
