Organizacijų veiklos analitikai konstatuoja organizacijų aplinkos dinamiškumą, chaotiškumą. Norėdamos išlikti tokioje greitai kintančioje aplinkoje, organizacijos turi adaptuotis – numatyti veiklos pokyčius, greitai ir adekvačiai reaguoti, keisti valdymo metodus. Veiklai pertvarkyti reikia efektyvių veiklos žinių valdymo mechanizmų, kurie turi būti grindžiami informacinėmis technologijomis. Įmonės norėdamos sėkmingai adaptuoti ir naudotis įvairiais valdymo metodais gali naudotis žinių bazėmis, tačiau šiuo metu tokios bazės yra neparuoštos našiam darbui įmonėse, šiame darbe pateikiamas modelis, kaip sudarytą veiklos žinių kubą būtų galima patogiai pateikti įmonės vidaus naudojimui. "Universalus duomenų bazių valdymo sistemų valdymo įrankis" yra atviro kodo programinės įrangos projektas, skirtas DBVS administravimui. Su šiuo įrankiu galima vienu metu administruoti kelias skirtingas DBVS. Kol kas yra palaikomos MySQL ir SQLite3 DBVS, tačiau sistema buvo sukurta taip, kad galima nesunkiai ją pritaikyti ir kitoms DBVS. Darbe taip pat trumpai apžvelgiama DBVS vystymosi istorija bei pateikiamas panašių įrankių palyginimas. / „Universal Tool for Management of Database Management Systems“ is open-source software project designed for new and experienced users to control their favorite DBMS. With this software it is possible to work with several databases at one time. Currently MySQL and SQLite3 DBMS are supported, but system is universal in that way, that it is easy to add new DBMS support, if needed. In this work, you will also find brief history of DBMS and comparison of similar software. The system has only one user group – database administrator. Database administrator can create databases, tables, do the search in table records and do many other things, which are permitted in DBMS.

The purpose of this work lies in modeling, designing and development of the computer supported work place, adjusting for stocktaking of any kind of transport. Verslo pasaulio analitikai nuolat pabrėžia organizacijų aplinkos dinamiškumą ir vis dar dažną nesugebėjimą laiku ir adekvačiai reaguoti į įvykusius pokyčius. Šią problemą įveikti dažniausiai organizacijoms trūksta veiklos valdymo žinių, o taip pat ir metodų, kaip tas žinias pritaikyti ir valdyti. Todėl siekiama sukurti veiklos valdymo žinių bazės modelį. Darbo tikslas – sudaryti formalų veiklos valdymo žinių bazės aprašą, kurio pagrindu galėtų būti kuriama veiklos valdymo žinių bazė, skirta analizuoti ir pertvarkyti įmonės veiklų valdymą į žiniomis grįstą valdymą bei sukurti tokios bazės prototipą. Veiklos valdymo žinių bazės struktūra pasiūlyta išanalizavus veiklos valdymo hierarchiją, žinių valdymo procesus ir žiniomis grindžiamus veiklos valdymo modelius. Veiklos valdymo lygių modeliavimui parinktas praktinis vadybos teorijoje išskirtas veiklos valdymo hierarchijos modelis, jį transformavus žiniomis grindžiamai veiklai modeliuoti bei žinių abstrakcijos lygiai pagal MOF specifikaciją. Šių dviejų tyrimo komponentų pagalba sudarytas formalus veiklos valdymo žinių bazės aprašas bei pateiktas veiklos valdymo žinių bazės prototipas. Remiantis šiuo modeliu, tolesnis tyrimas gali būti atliekamas siekiant sukurti veiklos valdymo žinių bazės kompiuterizuotą valdymo aplinką. The information system created performs the following functions: standardizes the process of failure registration and management; allows monitoring and receiving information in different sections adapted for certain groups; provides opportunity to evaluate the existing situation of provision with equipment and plan future investments within time scale; allows service of a whole group of users in one time. The information system has been created by using open source software – which enables to avoid additional investments.

The reason for this project was the absence of a free web-based tool for terminology management that would both allow storage and management of term entries with a comprehensive set of descriptive data and incorporate a forum style discussion service for lexicographers. The goal of this project was to develop a platform independent terminology management application that would use a web interface. The objectives were to investigate into the field of electronic tools for terminology management and electronic dictionaries, to distinguish the main features of such systems that could be used in creating a free and platform independent internet based terminology management system, to put into practice the principles of dictionary making and develop a web application that would meet the requirements of easy use and the ability to provide extensive descriptive information for terms. A set of requirements was drawn, the system was designed and a working application was successfully developed using Java technology. It runs on Apache Tomcat server and uses MySQL database for storage of term data. The system was presented with an initial set of 100 terms from the field of real-time systems.

Now in most CASE tools the information collected during the stage of IS cycle analysis is not used to generate the models of the designing stage. Improving CASE systems it is offered to enlarge them with an activity knowledge basis, what becomes an additional source of information to generate project model. Activity knowledge model created in the department of data systems has been specified and activity setting system has been designed and realized during the work. System design has been conducted using programming appliances: Rational Rose Enterprise Edition 2002, Microsoft Visio Professional 2002. Use Case model generating algorithms has been created on the grounds of the activity basis. UCM models storage and software needed for its functioning have been worked out. CASE activity knowledge basis ordering system has been created on the grounds of the activity meta-model worked out in the department of data systems. Database design methods and tools have been investigated in the paper. The action diagram construction process has been investigated and three data design methodologies IDE1X, IE and Chen‘ have been considered. The main definitions have been described and classified in detail. The problems of database design have been stated and table normal forms have been presented. The company‘s employee income tax database model has been designed on the basis of the theory. Four step Chen‘s diagram has been used to design the data model. The company‘s employee income tax database has been designed and implemented in MS Access environment. The data import program from MS Excel has been developed.
