Detta arbete syftar till att undersöka hur blå-grön infrastruktur kan användas som en metod för översvämningsskydd vid hamnomvandlingar av industriområden som en del i att öka städers resilience. Forskningsdesignen som används är en fallstudie av fenomenen blå-grön infrastruktur och urban flooding. Arbetets teoretiska ramverk utgörs av non-equilibrium-paradigmets syn på begreppet resilience. Resilience definieras här som ett system som påverkas av externa och interna processer samtidigt som det har en förmåga till kontinuerlig anpassning samt en fortlöpande funktionalitet. Av arbetets analys framkommer att vid implementering av blå-grön infrastruktur är helheten större än summan av delarna. Det är därför centralt att alla delar av det blå-gröna infrastruktursystemet fyller en funktion i sig själva så väl som i förhållande till varandra. Detta är den viktigaste aspekten som måste uppfyllas om blå-grön infrastruktur ska kunna möta de krav som urban flooding och havsnära exploatering ställer. / This studie aim to investegate how blue-green infrastructure can be used as a method for urban flood-prevention in redevelopments of former harbors as a part of increasing the resilience capacity of urban areas. The method is a case study of the fenomenon blu-green infrastructure and urban flooding. The studies theoretical framework is the non-equilibrium paradigm view of resilience. In this studie resilience is viewed as a system that is influenced by internal and external processes as well as retaining the capacity of constant adaptation and functionality.  As a result of the studies analysis it is shown that when implementing blue-green infrastructure the idea of that the whole is bigger than total of the parts is vital. The system that aims to cope with urban flooding has to be functional as a cohesive system as well as in the separate parts. This is the most important idea if blu-green infrastructure is to be useful in coping with the consequences of urban flooding as well as ensuring a more resilient future.

Forskningsstationen Kristineberg ligger vid Gullmarsfjordens inlopp i Bohuslän. Gullmarsfjorden har formen av en skål, vilket betyder att arter som vanligtvis lever längre ut till havs blir kvar när de sköljs in med vågorna då de har svårt att ta sig tillbaka över skålkanten igen. Det gör det till en bra plats att studera marint liv här och forskare kommer hit från hela världen. Det Bohuslänska landskapet har präglats av de karga bergen och havet genom historien, sillperioder har ökat befolkningen vid kustbandet och däremellan har befolkningen minskat. Idag är målet för forskningsstationen att utveckla svenskarnas marina kosthållning och på Kristineberg forskar man bland annat på alger, kravbor och annan marin odling och förädling. De ingår i organisationen Blå mat som i år har fått ett stort anslag från EU för att utvecklas och mitt examensprojekt har handlat om att utforska de arkitektoniska möjligheterna att göra Kristineberg till Blå mats fysiska centrum. / The Kristineberg research station is located at the inlet of the Gullmarsfjord in Bohuslän. The Gullmarsfjord has the shape of a bowl, which means that species that usually live further out to sea remain when they are washed in with the waves as they have difficulty getting back over the edge again. This makes it a great place to study marine life and researchers come here from all over the world to study here. The Bohuslän landscape has been characterized by the rough mountains and sea throughout history, herring periods have increased the population along the coastline and in between the population has decreased. Today, the goal for the research station is to develop the Swedes' marine diet, and at Kristineberg they are researching algae, crayfish and other marine cultivation, among other things. They are part of the organization Blue Food, which recently have received a large grant from the EU to reach their goal on develop marine diet in Sweden. My degree project explores the architectural possibilities of making Kristineberg the physical centre of Blue Food.

Modern societies are generally becoming increasingly capitalist in nature and economies of these societies are thus likely to become more focused on consumer consumption. Advertising plays a vital role in contemporary society where we, as consumers and citizens, are surrounded by it everywhere we look and everywhere we go. This puts pressure on advertisers to become more creative and to explore new ways of marketing their products and services in an already saturated environment. We believe that the added pressure and the already established role of marketing in society make advertisements an interesting and telling object for analysis. This is particularly the case with regards to the concept of selling and marketing products that have qualities that are known to be less than beneficial for our health. This paper analyzes four commercial advertisements marketing beer; a product that we argue has qualities that can be seen as potentially bad for the health of individuals and for societies. The brands advertising the products, which are subject to our analysis, are Pripps Blå and Norrlands Guld. The aim was to use rhetorical and semiotic analyses to find which strategies had been employed in the advertisements to sell the above-mentioned brands, thus allowing us to study rhetorical techniques drawing on cultural conventions. Our analysis showed that each of the four advertisements in our study contained rhetorical arguments; of which a recurring argument in all of the advertisements was pathos. This was strengthened by the semiotic analysis which showed that the majority of connotations found were of an emotional character. Our conclusion is therefore that Pripps Blå and Norrlands Gulds strategy for selling their beer is to appeal to our senses and emotions rather than our logic and rationality. This strategy we believe to be founded in the cultural conventions and ideological beliefs currently existing in Swedish society.

Sveriges städer står inför en ökad dagvattenproblematik till följd av klimatförändringar och förtätning som ställer nya krav på dagvattenhanteringen. Blå-grön infrastruktur har föreslagits som en alternativ metod att hantera ökad nederbörd och har därmed integrerats långsamt in i städers dagvattenhantering. Ytterligare forskning krävs för att öka förståelsen för hur implementation av blå-grön infrastruktur kan ske. Studiens syfte är att identifiera möjligheter och hinder vid implementering av blå-gröna lösningar i kommunerna Malmö och Växjö. Studien grundades på kvalitativa semi-strukturerade intervjuer med yrkesverksamma personer inom respektive kommuners dagvattenhantering. Studiens resultat visar på att trots många möjligheter för blå-grön infrastruktur så begränsas övergången till en mer hållbar dagvattenhantering av flertal hinder. Fler insatser inom utbildning, lagstiftning och samarbete kan öka implementationen av blå-grön infrastruktur och främja en mer hållbar dagvattenhantering.

För en verksamhet som går efter ett Lean koncept är ständiga förbättringar alltid i fokus (Sörqvist 2014). En av anledningar till att följa konceptet är att reducera slöseri för att skapa mer värde till kund. Genom att identifiera de slöserier som förekommer i en verksamhet kan man förebygga ett icke- värdeskapande arbete. För att effektivisera en icke- värdeskapande aktivitet i produktion, behöver personal i produktion i första hand ta upp problemet. Därefter undersöker verksamheten problemet för att tillsammans med de andra ansvariga parter hitta en lösning. Studien baserar på de tester som utförts på Sveriges största bilindustri, Volvo Cars Torslanda (VCT). Verksamheten strävar alltid efter ständiga förbättringar inom produktion, att reducera olika typer av slöseri är en prioritering för företaget. Syftet med studien är att studera verksamhetens icke- värdeskapande aktiviteter inom produktion, och vad det har för effekter för logistik. Genom att studera verksamhetens situation i dagsläget kan en förståelse skapas. Målet för studien är att komma med förslag om hur Volvo Cars / industriföretag kan gå tillväga. Förbättringarna skall i sin tur leda till att kunna reducera de olika slöserier. Studien grundar sig främst på en kvalitativ metod i form av intervjuer och observationer, där även en kvalitativ metod har kombinerats. Utifrån denna metod, teori och analys kan ett resultat presenteras. / For a business that follows a Lean concept, continuous improvements are always in focus (Sörqvist 2014). One of the reasons for following the concept is to reduce waste to create more value for the customer. By identifying the waste that occurs in a business, it is possible to prevent non-value-creating work. In order to streamline a non-value-adding activity in production, staff in production need to address the problem in the first place. The company then investigates the problem to find a solution together with the other responsible parties.The study is based on the tests carried out on Sweden's largest car industry, Volvo Cars Torslanda (VCT). VCT always strives for continuous improvements in production, reducing various types of waste is a priority for the company. The purpose of the study is to examine the company's non-value-creating activities in production, and what effects this has for logistics. By examining the business situation at a present stage, an understanding can be created. The aim of the study is to come up with suggestions on how Volvo Cars / industrial companies can proceed. The improvements will in turn lead to the ability to reduce the various wastes. The study is based primarily on a qualitative method in the form of interviews and observations, where a qualitative method has also been combined. Based on this method, theory and analysis, a result can be presented.

De aktuella klimatförändringarna skapar utmaningar för västkustens kommuner. Detta skapar möjligheter för den blå-gröna infrastrukturen att samspela med de traditionella dagvattenledningsystemen för att skapa en mer hållbar dagvattenhantering. Syftet med denna studie är därför att undersöka hur Kungsbacka, Halmstads och Varbergs kommun arbetar med hållbar dagvattenhantering i praktiken för att motverka framtida översvämningar samt att undersöka vilka faktorer som påverkar kommunernas arbete med blå-grön infrastruktur. Studien har en kvalitativ tillvägagångsmetod i form av dokumentanalys samt semistrukturerade intervjuer. Med utgångspunkt i hållbarhetsövergångsteorin Multi-level perspective har de framtagna dokumenten och intervjuerna analyserats vilket konstaterar att politikerna ofta försvårar utvecklingen av blå-grön infrastruktur. Även utmaningar som geotekniska förutsättningar och markbrist påverkar den blå-gröna infrastrukturens möjlighet att frodas. Den breda tolkningen som kommunerna har av begreppet hållbar dagvattenhantering bidrar till en vidareutveckling av den blå-gröna infrastrukturen. Även klimathändelser påverkar den blå-gröna infrastrukturens förutsättning för genomslag hos den traditionella dagvattenhanteringen. / Climate change is creating challenges for the municipalities on the West Coast. This provides opportunities for blue-green infrastructure to collaborate with traditional stormwater management systems to create more sustainable stormwater management. The purpose of this study is therefore to investigate how the municipalities of Kungsbacka, Halmstad, and Varberg are working with sustainable stormwater management to counteract future flooding, and to examine the factors that affect the municipalities' work with blue-green infrastructure. Based on the sustainability transition theory Multi-level perspective, the documents and interviews have been analyzed, which states that politicians often hinder the development of blue-green infrastructure. Challenges such as geotechnical conditions and land shortage also affect the blue-green infrastructure's ability to thrive. Municipalities' broad interpretation of sustainable stormwater management promotes the sustainable stormwater management and therefore blue-green infrastructure development. Climate events affect the conditions for breakthroughs in traditional stormwater management.

I started to design my project through the lens of my own perceptions and understanding of alienation, as well as learning about alienation through the lens of artistic craft. In the project, I used the history of blue porcelain as a metaphor for my alienation. The study of blue porcelain’s visual elements including forms, patterns and colours painted a larger picture, where blue porcelain was wandering among different cultures and went through the evolution of people’s perception through different historical periods. Meanwhile it experienced deep alienation as well as meaningful development, which made blue porcelain itself a strong culture and symbol of many cultures. Alienation does not have to be a problem that needs to be healed; it could lead to positive results.
