Blockpolitik i riksdagen : Har riksdagsledamöterna förvandlats till röstboskap?Fransson, Sara January 2011 (has links)
This thesis aims at studying the development of the party cohesion and oligarchichaltendencies in the party groups of the Swedish national parliament, riksdagen, after theintroduction of two clear block coalitions during the years 2006-2010.The result of the cohesion during these years has been compared towards the years 1998-2006. The research method being used has been 18 semi structured interviews with member of the parliament during the examined years. The main findings show an increment of both the cohesion and the oligarchical tendencies after the block coalitions during the years 2006-2010. The result verified therefore also the two originally stated hypothesis.

Regeringsformen och den föränderliga politiken : En analys av regeringsformen mot bakgrund av regeringsbildningsprocesserna / The Swedish constitution and the ever-changing political landscapeJörestig, Victoria January 2022 (has links)
The topic that will be presented in the following paper intends to analyse whether the tools given in the Swedish constitution can be seen as sufficient in the light of the ever-changing political landscape. Due to the recent delays in the Swedish process of government formation it is relevant to examine whether this could be caused by constitutional regulations that are no longer useful due to a change in the political field. The topic is highly relevant because it is currently, in the fall of 2021, an ongoing process. The governmental formation process will be the centre of attention in this paper. The process will be analysed on the basis of legal text along with relevant literature. Through a legal investigation and a historical and theoretical overview the aim is to determine whether the tools given in the current constitution can be deemed sufficient when considering an ever-changing political landscape. The most important conclusion is that the interest of fairness must constantly be weighed against the interest of effectiveness. Therefore, the conflict of interest that can arise between these two phenomenons will come to be the deciding factor when determining whether the current constitution can be deemed sufficient or not. From a historical point of view the main question of the paper can be answered with a yes, the tools in the current constitution can be seen as sufficient. This conclusion is based on the fact that so far all crises in governmental formations have been solved by using the tools given in the constitution. But whether the tools can be deemed sufficient in a political landscape that keeps on changing is questionable, it depends on what importance is given to fairness and efficiency respectively.

Svensk politik i förändring : Om varför Kristdemokraterna ingick och lämnade DecemberöverenskommelsenKanth, Arne January 2017 (has links)
The purpose of this paper was to seek answers to why the Christian Democrats decided to actively contribute to the December agreement as well as its termination. My questions are: • Why did the Christian Democrats decide to join the December agreement? • Why did the Christian Democrats decide to leave the December agreement? I have used an analysis model based on the model Gunnar Sjöblom developed to explain how parties in a multi-party system reach their overall goal of program realization. As a development of Sjöblom's model, I have added an aspect from Karl Loxbo about the importance of the parties' strategic actions over time. I have also used Tommy Möller's description of eleven factors that affect the scope of action for political leaders at national level. I have used a case study design and made a comparison of two different analysis units in time. To chart the course of events and to find causal mechanisms, I have used process tracking. My conclusions are that the Christian Democrats had a primary focus on cohesion of the Alliance as a starting point for entering into the December agreement and that the party largely left the agreement because the new party leader considered it as a barrier to realizing the party's new political orientation. The situation that arose after the Swedish Democrats entered the Riksdag and brought entirely new conditions remains to be solved.
