Sundelind, Lars January 2007 (has links)
<p>Non-compulsory schools in Sweden should make use of the knowledge and experience that is available in society according to the aims and objectives of the Curriculum for the Non-Compulsory School System - Lpf 94. There are however only a few studies which have focused on the contacts between non-compulsory schools and society as represented by the business world in Sweden.</p><p>The purpose of this study is to examine in what ways and to what extent non-compulsory schools are following the Curriculum by using the knowledge and experience of the business world. The perspectives have been: Which contacts in the business world and which working practices from the business world are implemented in teaching in non-compulsory schools? In what way do these contacts and working practices affect the teaching and learning of business administration? The purpose of this study is also to examine if the teachers in non-compulsory schools use business information and different kinds of business knowledge and experiences in order to keep themselves up-to-date regarding the business world. The perspectives have been: Are the teachers using up-to-date business information or business experience? Are the teachers applying a multicultural perspective in teaching business studies? In what way does this kind of information or first-hand experience affect the teaching and learning of business administration?</p><p>The method used in this study was to interview seven teachers from two non-compulsory schools in Stockholm. The research showed that both schools use different kinds of business contacts, business experience and up-to-date business information as input in their teaching. Both schools are also using mini enterprise and work experience in teaching the pupils business administration. Only a few of the teachers have applied a multicultural perspective in their teaching. The research also showed that it will take time, resources and coordination to increase contacts with the business world. These contacts are essential for helping the pupils to achieve a degree of practical learning and knowledge which is mentioned in the Curriculum for the Non-Compulsory School System as well as being in demand in working life.</p>

Spåren av framtiden : Näringslivets utmaingar i informationssamhället speglade i politiska intentioner och tre utbildningsföretags uppfattningar / Traces in the future : The challenges of the business world in the information society mirrored in political intentions and in three views from the training and consultancy industry

Söderberg, Milo January 2008 (has links)
There are numerous of ideas and theories around the present development in our global society, describing an ever changing era based and propelled by information and communication technology (ICT). How influential has this development been on political visions and intentions and on the business worlds views on important competencies? The purpose of this thesis is to describe the national and international visions of important competencies in the “information society”. Through a case study, focused on how the training and consultancy industry apprehends and answer to this change and development, as they often act as agents for new trends in the business world both as accommodators and originators. The growth and speed of the universally available information demands knowhow in seeking, analyzing and managing information, and this competence is crucial today. To place my study in an adequate theoretical context it is placed in the realms of Information Literacy (IL). I will describe and discuss connections between IL and workplace processes. All political visions in my research are unanimous and have an extremely positive, almost naïve approach to the future effects that the ICT development will have on our society. The case study shows that, even if the predecessors don’t speak or use the term information literacy they are well aware of the challenges and problems related to Information Literacy. / Omvärldsbevakning och Omvärldsanalys

'n Christelike gedragskode vir 'n besigheidsinstansie : 'n Christelik–etiese perspektief / deur De Wet Coetsee

Coetsee, Christiaan De Wet January 2010 (has links)
This study begins with the question: "Is there a place for a Christian ethical code of conduct in the diverse and complex business world of today?" In chapter 2 I explain the context wherein one should understand this question. If you look at the history of South Africa you will see that there was discrimination that took place over a long period of time on the basis of race, religion and gender and that makes this issue a very sensitive one. The reason why it is so sensitive is if there were to be a Christian ethical code of conduct in the workplace could it lead to discrimination again? That is not allowed to happen under the current Constitution of South Africa. But the other side is also true, if you don?t have a Christian ethical code won?t you loose the beautiful things Scripture gives us on how to treat all people equally and fairly within the workplace? This study will show that according to the Constitution of South Africa it is possible to have a Christian ethical code of conduct as long it does not exclude any employee. In chapter 3 we have a look at Scripture that gives us guidelines on how to treat all people and also people in the workplace. Here are some examples: * the way employees should be handled; * the number of working hours the employees should be working; * the remuneration of the employees – is it fair; * how the Shareholders? / Stakeholders? interests are looked after; * the manner in which the business is being managed; * the Constitutional business environment; * the international law that transcends borders where macrobusinesses do business. In chapter 4 we look at the Christian ethical perspective in the business. We look at the role of the economy and the core values to manage a business. In chapter 5 we end with an example of a workable Christian ethical code of conduct and we compare two large business codes of conduct. / Thesis (Th.M. (Ethics))--North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2011.

Regiani Ruth Moreira de Sousa January 2013 (has links)
This research is based upon the poetic investigation on the relationship between memory and fiction present in the project Made-Up Memories Corp. ©, a fictitious company that aims to produce records and documents that attest to the validity of invented memories. The project adopts the format of a website (www.madeupmemoriescorp. com.br) through which collects applications for manufacturing invented memories involving creating artworks in various languages (installation, photography, object etc.), and several instances of self-legitimation of the bureaucratic apparatus of the company, as stamps, certificates of authenticity and production reports. Thusly, the questions also extend to a theoretical reflection on the art circuits and systems and propose the notion of the artist as a strategist, infiltrating oneself in the business world and daily life. This research outlines an important mapping of contemporary artists who adopt the form of a fictitious company in their work, analyzing their strategies of maintenance, circulation and performance. Regarding artistic production, the research also shows a close relationship with literature and narrative, questioning notions of truth and fiction, and putting itself in an imbricated connection chain of the various project participants’ discourses. Therefore, Made up Memories Corp. © proposes not only a reflection on narrative, discourse, truth, fiction and legitimation circuits of Art, but also and foremost proposes new forms of life, the signification of memories through forked paths of affection and the possibility of future overtures hailing from these invented pasts.

Entreprise de presse et journalisme économique en Espagne [1975-1990] [Étude de El País Negocios de 1985 à 1990] / The press industry and economic journalism in Spain [1975-1990] [El País Negocios from 1985 to 1990]

Chartier, Chantal 04 December 2010 (has links)
This study focuses upon the press industry and its evolution in Spain during the Democratic Transition and under the Socialist power of Felipe González. Democratic renewal and continuity with early 20th Century culturally liberal tradition illustrate the changes which marked Spanish journalism. Markets emerging in the mid-1980s were highly coveted by the economic press. Founded upon a regenerationist project and making a claim to quality, El País diversified its publications to create the weekly economic supplement El País Negocios. A periodical of this media organ of influence, El País Negocios targets in particular socio-economic elites, a public of young executives and entrepreneurs in quest of economic modernity. Economic policies, employment relations just as managerial representations portray the transformations underway in Spain’s business world, one which fully integrates the framework of Europe and appropriates neo-liberal models. Our analysis of political and economic discourse sheds light upon the periodical’s ideology, an approach which enhances consensus and reflects the difficult construction of civil society.
