Calcul de sections efficaces du système à trois corps (e − , e + , p̄) avec les équations de Faddeev-Merkuriev / Cross sections calculation of the (e − , e + , p̄) three body system with the Faddeev-Merkuriev equationsValdes, Mateo 29 September 2017 (has links)
This thesis is dedicated to cross section calculations involving the three body system (e − , e + , p̄) at representative energies for the GBAR experiment. Two different theoretical formalisms have been used. The first one, the close coupling method, allows to study the system in a more simple and schematic theoretical frame. The second, based on the mathematically rigorous formalism of the Faddeev-Merkuriev equations, is used to compute the explicit cross sections. One of the major difficulties comes from the accidental degeneracy of the antihydrogen and positronium atoms first excited states. The treatment of this degeneracy has been realised, in a first time, with the close-coupling formalism before being adapted to the Faddeev-Merquriev equations code. In this document, we discuss the cross sections in the GBAR experiment frame and we construe the highlighted resonant phenomena, the Feshbach resonances and the Gailitis-Damburg oscillations.

Våld i nära relationer : En kvalitativ studie om gräsrotsbyråkraternas arbete kring våldsutsatta kvinnorErlandsson, Malin, Erlandsson, Maria-Therés January 2017 (has links)
There are few studies done on the work of social services on women exposed to violence. The work of social services with women exposed to violence has been a hot topic in the social policy debate. There have also been legislative changes to strengthen the work and help around women who are exposed to violent. The overall issues of the study focus on investigating the importance of social workers experiences in the work around the womens exposed to violence with the different types of policies, guidelines, action plan and regulations? We also wanted to explore how we can understand the importance of policies, guidelines, action plan and regulations and how it works when social workers use these in their work around women exposed to violence? The empirical study has mainly been gathered through qualitative semistructured interviews with professional social workers in the Swedish municipalities social services. We have interviewed six different social workers in four different municipalities all in the southern part of Sweden. Previous research has also been studied, national and international. The collected empiricism has been analyzed using the theory developed by Michael Lipsky, and we have also used Roine Johansson's interpretation of grassroots bureaucracy to gain a deeper understanding of our data material. We received data showing that the social worker decides on actions motivated by the policies, guidelines, action plans and regulations they relate to. We saw that the policies, guidelines, action plan and regulations that the social workers worked with were very different in their design, which meant that there were different structured structures within the organizations in the different municipalities, which resulted in differences in how to work. We also saw that the social worker had different experiences of how far and wide the use of these documents was, and that we could see the significance of social workers who experienced the documents in their work. The study depicts how social workers perceive that policies, guidelines, action plans and regulations affect their work around women exposed to violence, and how we can understand the importance of policies, guidelines, action plan and regulations and how it works when social workers use them in their work around women exposed to violence. The main conclusion in this study is that the social worker provides assistance, support and assistance to the woman as she fits into what the social worker's policies, guidelines, action plans and regulations describe. If the woman exposed to violence does not comply with the criteria such as policies, guidelines, action plans and regulations, then there are reasons for granting the victim of violence to receive support and assistance. The study also shows how clients are categorized to fit into the organization, they are interpreted renegotiated and adapted to fit the social services organization. The study also shows that some of the social workers use and follow the policies, guidelines, action plan and regulations more than others and it is also clear that they can be used in order to give more specialized efforts to the victim of violence.

Vrouetydskrifte as sosiokulturele joernale : prominente diskoerse oor vroue en die beroepswêreld in agt vrouetydskrifte uit 2006 (Afrikaans)De Vaal, Amelia 20 November 2007 (has links)
In the 300 years since the magazine originated, this mass medium has become synonymous with women and their worlds. Today, publications for, by and about women still dominate the global magazine market, and the selection and circulation of women’s magazines increase annually – indicative of the popularity of this mixed medium of information, instruction and entertainment. Since the 1980s, academics from different human sciences branches, such as Joke Hermes and Marloes Hülsken in the Netherlands and Angela Gough-Yates, Margaret Beetham, Ros Ballaster and Marjorie Ferguson in the United Kingdom, have proven the academic worth of women’s magazines, by using them as information sources about women’s social knowledge, positions and roles, their relationships and consumer behaviour in (amongst others) historical, sociological, psychological, mass media and women’s studies research. In South Africa, however, academic research on women’s magazines is still largely unexploited: apart from a few dissertations, information is mostly limited to single paragraphs in larger mass media studies. Magazines for black women have, for example, not been researched yet. In this study, South African and Dutch magazines from 2006 are studied as sociocultural journals: accounts or collections of the major trains of thought representative of a specific context and time frame. When magazine content is viewed as the textual distillation of the shared consciousness or culture of a particular audience, and discourse as ways of acting and thinking underlying this shared consciousness, magazines, by drawing on different discourses, report on the norms, values and habits particular to a specific era – yielding information that can be applied in reconstructing images of reality. This study aimed to research, within the context of current women’s magazines, the way in which women’s presence in the career world is accepted and legitimised as standard practice, and to explore the influence of the pursuit of a career on other female roles. It was assumed that the range of ‘superwoman’ roles (career woman, mother, wife, homemaker, lover, friend …) resonates in the ‘work discourse’ – and that all women experience similar frustrations, fears, dreams and expectations, irrespective of linguistic, cultural and socio-economic factors. A selection of sixteen magazines – two issues each of four South African and four Dutch magazine titles, aimed at diverse readerships – were singled out as primary research material. Magazine content was subsequently submitted to close reading, in order to examine as closely as possible the approaches towards women’s deployment in the career world, as made evident in the text. Theoretical concepts from mass media studies, cultural studies, discourse analysis and feminist criticism underpinned the identification of textual patterns, leading to the establishment of links between text and reality and meaningful interpretations of eventual findings. The results indicated that the work discourse in all the examined magazines is informed by three interpretative repertoires – that ultimately determine the way in which this discourse is developed and maintained, both in the magazine content and in everyday life. When the findings resulting from the textual analysis of the work discourse represented in these magazines were compared with actual statistics on the career world, it became obvious, however, that magazine content does not necessarily reflect reality – but that internalising the ambitious, larger-than-life dream aspects contained between a magazine’s covers is precisely the aspect from which readers derive pleasure and satisfaction. / Dissertation (MA (Afrikaans))--University of Pretoria, 2007. / Afrikaans / unrestricted

How are women who suffer from violence in close relationship met in health care : with special reference to the influence of cultural factorsNilsson, Lina January 2020 (has links)
Metod: I studien granskas tretton artiklar. / Introduction: Violence in close relationships is a growing public health problem worldwide. It is primarily men's violence against women that is made visible in research as well as in media and hence, the focus in this study is on women's perspectives as the vulnerable victim. Cultural factors influence people's attitudes and views on events. Thus, this study aims to investigate cultural factors in health care visits after being victim of violence in close relationship. Purpose: This literature study aims to describe cultural factors’ influence on women's experiences related to visits to health care after exposure to violence in close relation. Method: The study reviews 13 articles. The study is a qualitative literature study with thematic analysis. Results: The study results in four main themes with two sub-themes each. Main themes addressed were: (1) Cultural differences diminish the visibility of women in society, (2) Violence in close relationship - Attitudes differ globally, (3) Negative attitudes lead to women not wanting to seek medical care and (4) Violence in close relationship is perceived as a shame. Conclusion: The women experience a judgmental and nonchalant response from the health care staff, especially those with a foreign background. The cultural differences present difficulties in both communication and management of the vulnerable women in close relationship.

Violence in close relationships is a major public health problem that causes ill-health in people who are or have been subjected to violence. It can be difficult for a victim of violence to understand the situation in which it is located and to seek help from society. In some forms of relationships, such as relationships where the victims of violence depend on the violent practitioner, it may be particularly difficult to seek support and help from society. The social service is responsible for the local work against violence in close relationships. The aim of the current study was to investigate social services workers experience from working with people who have been exposed in violence in close relationships. The sample for the study was social services workers working on counselling in central Sweden. The data collection consisted of semi-structured interviews that have been analyzed according to Elo and Kyngäs content analysis. The results show that counselling is individualized for people seeking support, but there is difficulty in responding to certain groups of violent vulnerability. For example, disabled, children, addicts and honor related violence. The present study found that social services workers are perceived to be in need of cross-sectoral cooperation with increased knowledge of close-relationships violence, in order to reach all violent exposed groups in society.

Dvorná láska v kontextu herních aspektů dvorské kultury (Cantigas de Santa Maria a trubadúrský zpěvník R) / Courtly Love in the context of ludic elements of courtly culture (Cantigas de Santa Maria and the troubadour chansonnier R)Jaluška, Matouš January 2017 (has links)
1./1 Courtly Love in the context of ludic elements of courtly culture (Cantigas de Santa Maria and the troubadour chansonnier R) Matouš Jaluška Abstract Dissertation Courtly Love in the context of ludic elements of courtly culture (Cantigas de Santa Maria and the troubadour chansonnier R) strives to refine on the common notion that the me- dieval courtly poetry is a kind of game. It is based in the tradition of thinking about playing, which is based on the essay Homo ludens of Johan Huizinga and continues through works of Roger Cailloise, Jacques Henriot and Eugen Fink to the current trend of Game Studies. Close reading of the authorities in the introductory chapter shows that each of them assigns an im- portant role to the notion of discontinuity or rupture that enables them to establish the game as a non-binding and safe world. The concept of troubadour poetic creation as a safe activity is explored in the second chapter based on the works of the two founding figures of the trouba- dour tradition, Guilhem de Peitieu ("the Count of Poitiers") and Marcabru. The comparison shows that the safety of troubadour poetry is closely connected with the idea of binding or non-binding language. Binding speech is strongly linked to the image of female power and the ability of women to breed offspring and thus to keep...

The Reason: She had met another man and wanted to divorce” : A Text Aaalysis of newspaper articles' descriptions of men’s violence against womenMauritzson, Maja, von Schewen, Lina January 2021 (has links)
The aim of this study was to investigate how articles from two well-known Swedish evening newspapers describe the violence that men use against women in close relationships. Furthermore, the study examined which causal explanations the newspaper articles use in the descriptions of the violence. This is done through a qualitative text analysis of newspaper articles' descriptions of violence. The results of the study have been thematized with a theoretical approach through the socio-ecological model and the National Board of Health and Welfare's definition of violence in close relationships. The media has proven to play a significant role in helping people understand social issues as what is described in the media often becomes people's reality. Therefore, it is important that the media provide a fair and correct picture of the large and widespread phenomenon that violence in close relationships constitutes. The results show that physical violence is the most described violence of newspaper articles. Furthermore, most causes of men's violence against women are described by newspaper articles with a structural perspective. Only one of all included newspaper articles describes men's violence against women in close relationships through all four perspectives of the socioecological model. The model which, in accordance with the National Board of Health and Welfare, is of great importance for obtaining a comprehensive description of men's violence against women in close relationships.
