A partir de um estudo etnográfico realizado entre os meses de setembro de 2006 e dezembro de 2007, procuro desenvolver uma interpretação de discursos de atores distintos que colocam em cena tensões, dramas e negociações, relativas à implantação de uma cinemateca em Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. Nesse sentido, analiso algumas narrativas e práticas de moradores do bairro Centro, que formaram a Associação de Amigos do Cine-Theatro Capitólio (Aamica), e também de profissionais ligados a Fundação Cinema RS (Fundacine), os dois principais agentes envolvidos no projeto da Cinemateca Capitólio. Por um lado, segundo discursos de membros da Fundacine, o projeto de uma cinemateca para o Rio Grande do Sul é produto do desenvolvimento do campo audiovisual no Estado e posto em prática através da ação de pesquisadores e cineastas locais. Por outro lado, os discursos de membros da Aamica são compreendidos como narrativas inseridas no tema sobre o viver o bairro no presente, tendo em perspectiva uma comparação com um passado narrado pelos informantes (vivido no mesmo espaço social – o Centro da cidade). Essas narrativas proporcionam uma reflexão sobre a ressignificação do espaço público, vislumbrada por meio das relações e representações sociais do bairro através de memórias. O tema da preservação perpassa um prédio tombado pelo patrimônio municipal e estadual, um antigo cinema de rua, e a memória do campo audiovisual no estado. / This thesis advances an analysis of the discourses built by a plethora of social actors which bring to light tensions, dramas and negotiations around the construction of a film library in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. The data are drawn from an ethnographic fieldwork undertaken between september/2006 and december/2007. Some narratives and practices of individuals who founded the Associação de Amigos do Cine-Theatro Capitólio (Aamica), inhabitants of Porto Alegre’s downtown, as well as of professionals associated to the Fundação Cinema RS (Fundacine) are analysed. As it is propounded, these are the agents involved in the construction of the Cinemateca Capitólio. On the one hand, according to Fundacine members, the project of a movie library in Rio Grande do Sul is the product of the development of the audiovisual field in the state and can only be fulfilled by researchers and local movie makers. On the other hand, Aamica’s members’ discourses are seen as inserted in the experience of living the neighborhood now having the past in perspective. These narratives motivate a reflection about the processes of resignification of the public space, constructed in the relations and social representations of the neighborhood via the informants’ memories. The issue of preservation is intertwined with the themes upon which this thesis is elaborated: a building deemed as a city and state heritage, an old street cinema, and the memory of the audiovisual field in the state.

The diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of representing the victims and the culprits of the Nazi and communist totalitarian regime on selected procaic works of Czech literature (Zvuk slunečních hodin, Peníze od Hitlera, Vyhnání Gerty Schnirch, Chladnou zemí a Dobrou noc, sladké sny). In also focused on the theme of collective memory, postgeneration, identity, guilt and trauma.

Cette thèse se consacrera à la question de construction d'une mémoire collective de la révolution culturelle (1966-1976) par le cinéma chinois contemporain de l'année 1979 à 2005. cette thèse n'est pas une étude esthétique du cinéma chinois ; son axe central consiste à faire une analyse et une interprétation socio-historique des films et à interroger le cinéma en tant qu'il offre un ensemble de représentations qui renvoie directement ou indirectement à la société réelle du passé. au lieu de mesurer des empreintes déposées dans la « mémoire nationale » des années de troubles par les images cinématographiques, je vais tenter de comprendre et faire comprendre comment l'histoire de la révolution culturelle avait été convoquée, figurée et réinventée par le cinéma chinois en fonction des enjeux du temps présent. la lecture historique et sociale des films qui abordent la question de la mémoire collective permettra d'atteindre à des zones non-visibles de la société chinoise pendant la révolution maoïste. elle permettra aussi de comprendre comment la mémoire d'un événement traumatisant pour la société est en permanence recomposée pour s'inscrire dans une identité collective en continuelle mutation. / This thesis is devoted to studying the collective memory of the Cultural Revolution through contemporary Chinese films (1979-2009). The central theme is to demonstrate how de ―seventh art‖ contributed to the vitality and diversity of the writing of the Cultural Revolution history. The Cultural Revolution had highly serious economic and social consequences for the Chinese society as a whole. My interest is to inquiry into the place and responsibility of the individuals in this history through the social-historical interpretation of the films which refers directly or indirectly to the Chinese society of the past. The film about the history and memory can be seen as an agent enhancing our understanding of the history. Reading films about the history and memory will not only provide the link between the past and present for a society, but also provide the guidance to its future. Furthermore, it also helps to understand how the memory of a traumatic event is continuously rewritten by the Chinese society in order to construct a national identity and to fight against forgetting. The question of the identity has also a political significance. Rewriting the history of the Cultural Revolution is also vital to the Chinese authorities who need to re-affirm the legitimacy of its power. Taking into account the place and responsibility of the individuals in the Cultural Revolution is a fundamental issue for writing this traumatic history, which constitute the center of this thesis.

Esta tese investiga o cotidiano urbano e as formas da vida social que configuram a cidade moderno-contemporânea através das feições do tempo presentes nas práticas de compra e venda de alimentos nos mercados de rua e feiras-livres. A pesquisa etnográfica foi desenvolvida em mercados de rua e feiras-livres das cidades de Porto Alegre e São Paulo no Brasil, e Paris, na França. Trata-se de refletir sobre os simbolismos da circulação do alimento figurados na circulação da palavra, nas forma de sociabilidades e na memória da duração das práticas cotidianas que se desenrolam nas ruas e bairros da cidade, relacionadas ao alimento. Através da pesquisa com imagens – de acervo ou produzidas em campo – este trabalho procurou acessar as forma sensíveis da vida cotidiana, bem como a dimensão poética do viver urbano. / This thesis approaches the urban everyday life and the forms of social life that configure the city modern-contemporary through the images of time represented in the daily practices to purchase and sell foods in street markets and fairs. The ethnographic research was developed in street markets and food fairs of Porto Alegre and São Paulo, Brazil, and Paris, rance. It’s a reflection about the symbolisms of the circulation of food represented in the circulation of the conversation practices, in the forms of sociabilities and in the collective memory of daily practices related to the food. This works presents, through images and sounds, the sensiti ve forms of everyday life and the urban poetics.

A pesquisa tem por objetivo identificar quais imagens da infância os adultos têm. Foi desenvolvida em uma perspectiva qualitativa com o propósito de compreender o que pensam acerca da infância e coletou memórias de infância de nove adultos que têm em comum o fato de seus filhos frequentarem uma instituição pública de educação infantil. Sustentada pelo referencial teórico da Sociologia da Infância compreende a infância enquanto categoria da estrutura social em sua divisão geracional. Utiliza os paradigmas da área acerca da construção social, histórica e cultural das imagens e representações de infância. Com o apoio das teorias da Memória Coletiva a pesquisa compreende a influência que o passado exerce na percepção do presente e na construção de concepções e imagens, neste caso, da infância. A pesquisa de campo revelou que tanto as experiências vividas pelos sujeitos adultos quando crianças como as representações sociais da infância exercem influência na maneira de se conceptualizar e imaginar a infância nos dias de hoje. / This research aims to identify which childhood images adults have. It was developed in a qualitative perspective with the purpose of understanding what they think about childhood and collected childhood memories from nine adults that share the fact of their children attend the same public kindergarten. Based on the theoretical framework of Sociology of Childhood understands childhood as a category of social structure in a generational division. The research uses the fields paradigm of socially, historically and culturally constructed images and models of childhood. Supported by the Collective Memory theories the research understands the influence that past has upon the presents perception and upon the conceptions and images of childhood construction, in this case. The field research revealed that both the experiences of these adults while they were children and social models of childhood influence the manner of conceiving and imagining childhood nowadays.

As livrarias, os cinemas, os teatros e a própria cidade de São Paulo são o pano de fundo para os espetáculos teatrais assistidos no período de 1964 a 2011. O autor faz um recorte, analisando mais detalhadamente os 27 espetáculos teatrais mais significativos de sua vida de espectador. Em tese, essa visão do espectador está isenta dos habituais didatismos de um professor, da alardeada neutralidade do crítico, do rigor analítico requerido aos historiadores e pesquisadores e permite transitar com a reação espontânea, a emoção, recordações que a memória guardou, acontecimentos curiosos ligados ao contexto da apresentação e tão importantes quanto aqueles ocorridos no palco. O estudo é completado com uma análise da presença/ausência do espectador na literatura teatral e com um levantamento das atividades da Casa do Espectador, entidade muito importante para o meio teatral paulistano, surgida em 1960 e desaparecida no início dos anos 1990 / The author relyes on his memory and on documents to outline the trajectory that lead to his education as a spectator going by the several sources that nourished him: the circus, the radio, the music, the books, the cinema, the television and mostly the theather, the very object of the research. The bookstores, the theathers and the city of São Paulo itself build the background for the plays seen from 1964 to 2011. The author analyzes in depht the 27 more signficant spectacles of his life as a spectator. In theory, the point of view of the spectator is free of the dictacticism of scholars as well as free of the often mentioned neutrality of the critics and the analytical rigor required from historioagraphers and researchers, and allows his spontaneous reaction on emotions, memories and curious events related to the spectacle itself, as important as the ones that took place on the stage. The study is completed with an analysis of the presence/absence of the spectator in the theatrical literature and the story of Casa do Espectador, a very relevant entity in the theatrical scene in São Paulo, founded in 1960 and closed in 1990

Este trabalho discute a performance da memória e suas implicações em questões de identidade, sociedade e, principalmente, na constituição da regionalidade na obra São Bernardo, de Graciliano Ramos, mediante a análise do texto em primeira pessoa atribuído a seu protagonista e narrador, Paulo Honório e considerações publicadas na fortuna crítica relacionada ao livro e ao autor. Abordam-se ainda os temas de região e regionalidade, através de discussões teóricas e análises da obra e de textos críticos preexistentes. It approaches also the themes of region and regionality, through theoretical discussions and analysis of work and preexisting critical texts. The study is divided into four chapters: the first focuses on aspects of memory in São Bernardo; the second deals with the vision of society offered by the text; the third, the question of social identity and, finally, we discuss aspects of regionality and region.

A alimentação é uma das expressões mais sensíveis da cultura, com seus sabores e aromas, pois toca nas sensibilidades e nos estranhamentos das pessoas perante culinárias específicas. Assim, as receitas evocam memórias, estimulando a imaginação e desencadeando sentimentos profundos, que se materializam em vínculos entre o passado e o presente. A capacidade de percebê-los e valorizá-los dependem dos padrões culturais e da memória. Com a alimentação vista como um aspecto importante na história e na cultura de um povo, torna-se visível a discussão de guardar e proteger esses bens como patrimônio imaterial, tornando assim, a gastronomia umas das principais representações culturais de um povo. Este estudo analisa a culinária dos imigrantes italianos, da região de Bento Gonçalves, como instrumento de memória coletiva e sua transformação em turismo gastronômico. Thus, these senses in recipes evoke memories by stimulating the imagination and unleashing deep feelings that materialize in ties between the past and the present. The ability to perceive and appreciate them depend on cultural patterns and memory. With food becoming an important aspect in the history and culture of a people, the discussion of maintaining and protecting these assets as an intangible heritage is evident, thus making food a major cultural representation of a people. This study analyzes the cuisine of Italian immigrants in the area of Bento Gonçalves, as a collective memory tool and its transformation into gastronomic tourism. It also envisions the creation of paradidactic materials related to research, leading the student to a search that resembles that of a historian.

Ethnic discourse in the consolidation of social boundaries (re) assemble a social policy apparatus able to claim their belongings concerning his ancestry, as well as the interpretation of the meanings given to their territory by any group. This dissertation work is the result of an ethnographic study undertaken with the residents of the Community Maloca, Vargas located in the neighborhood adjacent to the commercial center in Aracaju - SE. Since February 2007 the group is certified by FCP - Palmares Cultural Foundation as a lasting community, while it is part of a special gift for being an urban center, varying from the majority of that remaining Maroons in their contexts, outcrops and specific land rural. It focuses on the work process of territorial formation of the hut, and the arrival of their first actors, contextualizing the process of legitimation refers to the territory they live, as well as the various narratives that (re) construct the time he lived, the relations kinship, conflict, the process of self-affirmation as runaways and the relationship of belonging with their living space / living contained in the imaginary city of Aracaju. Attempts are made to the opportunity to understand the meanings that affirm their ethnicity, parallel group for the pursuit of effective policies and guarantee of constitutional rights in the urban context. / Atualmente nas ci?ncias sociais a quest?o da autoidentidade e suas acep??es absorvem como um dos objetivos centrais vertentes que tangem an?lises de um imagin?rio (re) constru?do a partir de processos de afirma??o identit?ria. No discurso ?tnico a consolida??o de fronteiras sociais (re)montam um aparato pol?tico social capaz de reivindicar seus pertencimentos concernentes ? sua ancestralidade, assim como a interpreta??o dos sentidos dado ao seu territ?rio por determinado grupo. Este trabalho de disserta??o ? o resultado de um estudo etnogr?fico desenvolvido junto aos moradores da Comunidade Maloca, localizada no bairro Get?lio Vargas, vizinho ao centro comercial de Aracaju-SE. Desde fevereiro de 2007 o grupo ? certificado pela FCP Funda??o Cultural Palmares como comunidade remanescente de quilombo, ao tempo que se insere numa particularidade por estar presente num centro urbano, diferenciandose da maioria dos remanescentes quilombolas que, em seus contextos, afloram especificidades fundi?rias e rurais. Concentra-se no trabalho o processo de forma??o territorial da Maloca, assim como a chegada dos seus primeiros atores sociais, contextualizando o processo de legitima??o referente ao territ?rio que vivem, assim como as diversas narrativas que (re) constroem tempos vividos, as rela??es de parentesco, conflitos, o processo de autoafirma??o como quilombolas e as rela??es de pertencimento com seus espa?os habitados/vividos e contidos no imagin?rio da cidade de Aracaju. Tenta-se, na oportunidade, a compreens?o dos sentidos que afirmam a sua etnicidade, paralelo ? busca do grupo por pol?ticas efetivas e garantia de direitos constitucionais no contexto urbano.
