Skogsberg, Joakim January 2010 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis is to present and describe which criteria, according to the systemfamily Configuration Management, should be met when developing a CM-tool to handlemigration data.ACT is a tool developed by Microsoft to gather information about, analyze, test and mitigateapplications in a network when migrating the IT-infrastructure of an organization to a newoperating system. The organization that is being studied wants to present the data about theanalyzed applications in such a way, that a customer can choose what to mitigate and migrate. The goal is therefore to develop a prototype (CM-tool) that will present this data. The study has shown that ACT lacks certain requirements stated by the organization when itcomes to presentation. But when it comes to the rest of the functions, ACT performs as expected. The investigation resulted in specifications and technical solution for the new CM-tool. CMcriteriafor migration data was put forth and parts of the prototype were also developed.

Evaluating an IPv4 and IPv6 Network / Utvärdera ett IPv4- och IPv6 nätverk

Lidholm, Gilbert, Netterberg, Marcus January 2012 (has links)
This thesis is the result of the bachelor’s thesis project “Evaluating an IPv4 and IPv6 network”. The IPv6 protocol was created with the main purpose of solving the problem of the depletion of IPaddresses that IPv4 is currently facing. This thesis gives an introduction to the differences between IPv4 and IPv6 and when one should use one protocol rather than the other. It describes the services that we will use in order to evaluate what kinds of problems IPv4 may experience and if these problems can be solved by using IPv6. We also show how to set up a network with both protocols for each service that we examine. We will subsequently evaluate the performance of these two protocols for each of these services. We found that there were no significant differences in the performance of any of the applications that we tested with both IPv4 and IPv6. Due to the depletion of IPv4 addresses and the continuing rapid growth of the Internet, this thesis describes a very current and a relevant issue for computer networks today.

Conductive interferences from multiple EC-motor installation : To measure and mitigate harmonics

Aitman, Victor January 2022 (has links)
Products produced by a Swedish company are requested to be investigated regarding their harmonic and inter-harmonic currents injected into the public supply system to comply with the Swedish standard SS-EN IEC 61000-3-2, Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).    On behalf of Systemair Sweden AB, this bachelor thesis aims firstly to investigate if their product, PAFEC 4225 WH (Air Curtain), complies with standard SS-EN IEC 61000-3-2, and if not, what measures should be taken; and secondly to develop a low-cost instrument for the measurement of harmonics and inter-harmonics according to standard IEC 61000-4-7 related to the requirements on equipment used in standard SS-EN IEC 61000-3-2. To this purpose, the standards have been looked into thoroughly, the preconditions for measurements have been studied in detail, and external meetings with a consultant at Delta Development Technology AB have been performed. Measurements of the harmonic spectrum generated by PAFEC 4225 WH have been performed first at Systemair Sweden AB’s Technical center in Skinnskatteberg, and later at Delta Development in Västerås. After this, a low-cost instrument was developed, including hardware and software design and implementation. The hardware implementation consists of a circuit board designed using EasyEDA (an online PCB Design Tool), a NI myDAQ (a data acquisition device made by National Instruments), and an enclosure designed with Solidworks and made with a 3D-printer. The software implementation was conducted using LabVIEW – a graphical programming language.  A few measurements were performed using instruments complying IEC 61000-4-7 at Delta Development, and later with the low-cost instrument. Different line chokes were measured. The results showed that a 15 mH line choke connected in series with each motor would make the PAFEC 4225 WH comply with SS-EN IEC 61000-3-2. The results from the low-cost instrument did not match Delta Developments results regarding harmonic and inter-harmonic content. The difference could be caused by unfinished algorithm, different measurements conditions, and missing anti-aliasing-filter.          For the future work it is recommended that Systemair Sweden AB can either develop the low-cost instrument or buy an existing instrument that complies with IEC 61000-4-7, to enable to do measurements that comply with SS-EN IEC 61000-3-2. One does also need to investigate the grid during low activity or consider buying a signal generator for the purpose of fulfilling the preconditions to enable measurements. It is also recommended that further measurements are performed with the proposed line choke installed to check for any change in performance of the product.

Nguyen, Bich Lien 11 October 2018 (has links)

A General Galois Theory for Operations and Relations in Arbitrary Categories

Kerkhoff, Sebastian 20 September 2011 (has links) (PDF)
In this paper, we generalize the notions of polymorphisms and invariant relations to arbitrary categories. This leads us to a Galois connection that coincides with the classical case from universal algebra if the underlying category is the category of sets, but remains applicable no matter how the category is changed. In analogy to the situation in universal algebra, we characterize the Galois closed classes by local closures of clones of operations and local closures of what we will introduce as clones of (generalized) relations. Since the approach is built on purely category-theoretic properties, we will also discuss the dualization of our notions.
