Être chef d’établissement : étude clinique auprès de chefs d’établissement ayant participé à des groupes d’analyses des pratiques / Being a headmaster : a clinical survey among headmasters who experimented with group analyses of their own professional practice

Botté Allain, Françoise 13 January 2017 (has links)
The following thesis tackles the subject of being a headmaster. This experience is related from a psychoanalytical point of view and uses six different examples of headmasters who have experimented with analysing their own practice. The first part narrates my story as a former headmaster so as to offer a better understanding of which questions to ask the other headmasters. Then, the essay revolves around the methodology and theoretical approach I used for this work. Analysing the acts of the official gazette as well as the research work and testimonies made by some of my peers on the subject allowed me to enhance the current specificities of the job. The second part details the six interviews I had with my fellow headmasters. They all said that having such a position had a deep impact on their professional identity and that it taught them to put the emphasis on human relationships in their job. This raises the question of the training one has to elaborate to prepare young headmasters to cope with their new position. Finally, the interviewees mentioned the group sessions they took part in to analyse their professional practice, insisting that these sessions helped them better negotiate the relational aspects involved by their job. Thus, this essay develops the idea that setting up group sessions to help headmasters analyse their professional practice should play a bigger part in their training.

O resgate da sensorialidade na transferência / The rescue of sensoriality transfer

Ana Maria Furtado 24 March 2006 (has links)
The social-cultural transformations which occurred during the 20th century, favored the prevalence of new psychopathological configurations, which were different to classical neuroses. As a result, the Freudian meta-psychology was submitted to criticisms and revisions, which intended not only to understand but also to treat those pathologies that were in evidence ever since. Narcissism became a central concept in that theoretical reformulation, which allowed for the construction of a second topical theory of the psychic apparel, in which the unconscious was no longer conceived of as being a by-product of the conscience. In this new model, although the Oedipian conflict still maintains a prominent place in the psychic scene, its importance in the establishment of psychopathologies was driven to a secondary level. The acquisition of a vital sense and the development of subjective styles as a tributary of the sensorial demarcations established in the beginning of the maternal-infantile relationship gradually occupied a prominent place in the psychoanalytical theory and, as a result, the infra-linguistic processes acquired relief as modulators of the effectiveness of the talking cure. In this work, aspects of some of the Freudian intuitions concerning the way in which a psyche is constituted in theory, is discussed, and the relevance of contributions to such theory, according to psychoanalysts such as Ferenczi, Winnicott, Anzieu and Haag, among others, is also presented. The contributions of such authors to the understanding of the conditions and obstacles necessary for the establishment of an "Ego" which is capable of acting in a creative manner while interacting with its environment, allows us to think of the human phenomenon in a perspective that breaks with the dualisms - to which Freud remained stuck - and permits one to understand subjection as a complex and endless process. Sensoriality is a category that acquires a significant paper in the understanding of the phenomena present in the transferencial field, and its importance must be recognized. A case history is presented as a conductive thread and illustration of the importance of its ransom in contemporary psychoanalytical practice, aiming at reaffirming the sovereignty of the clinical to question and enrich the theory.

The learning process of psychodynamic therapists understanding transference and counter-transference

Unknown Date (has links)
關鍵字:心理動力取向、移情、反移情、學習歷程 / This study uses semi-structured interviews to collect data separately from four psychodynamic therapists. In order to discover the learning process of transference and counter-transference and to understand the transition process of every therapist’s perception from theory to practice, this study reviewed the obstacles therapist might have faced, and the influence on his/herself as well as being a therapist when they’ve acquired the integration of both theory and practice. The main findings of this study were as follows: 1.The understanding of the obstacles during psychodynamic therapists’ perception from theory to practice. Two main obstacles one psychodynamic therapist might face were the theoretical learning and the practical application. As to the former, both the abstractiveness of theory and lacking of experience creates the difficulty to manage. As to the latter, the shortage of knowledge regarding counter-transference might result in intense tension and anxiety between the patience, and hence the therapist might undergo underconfidence and self-doubt. 2.The understanding of transference and counter-transference during the psychodynamic therapists’ transition process from theory into practice. Firstly, the negative impact resulted from counter-transference might be mitigated by the contain and suggestion of supervisors; therefore, the therapists might be self- conscious and aware of self-identity. Secondly, with the above positive experience, the knowledge of inner dynamic, and deeper acceptance, therapists might be able to better manage counter-transference. Finally, the process would lead to the connection with personal understanding brought by the transition from theory into practice. 3.The reflection and the influence of psychodynamic therapists when having acquiring the integration of both theory and practice. When therapists undergone the abovementioned stages, they will no longer be troubled by self-doubt and anxiety, and identify with self-affirmation. The influence of which includes the better ability to distinguish transference and counter-transference, broaden thinking regarding contain and metacognition, developing humbleness to humanity and a profound attitude, a firm faith of therapy, and to incorporate psychodynamic into relationships and daily life. Key word: psychodynamic approaches, transference, counter-transference, learning process

Experiences of a systems psychodynamic executive group coaching programme

Parsadh, Adrian 11 1900 (has links)
Executive group coaching, as a development intervention, and interest in coaching research has steadily increased over the years. Psychodynamic group coaching and coaching programmes have, however, received limited empirical attention. In this study, the researcher argues the criticality for coaches in better understanding of unconscious group coaching dynamics. The researcher felt that by designing a Systems Psychodynamic Executive Group Coaching Programme (SPEGCP) as a psychoeducational developmentally focused learning opportunity would allow for an exploration of systemic conscious and unconscious group coaching dynamic behaviours. The researcher sought to explore, describe and analyse the lived experiences of coaches in the SPEGCP. Interpretative phenomenological hermeneutic, using systems psychodynamic perspective as a theoretical framework, served the study well by enabling the researcher to apply in-depth description and interpretation. A case study research strategy was adopted were individual participants were analysed and then integrated across participants analysis of findings. The study revealed the structured nature of the SPEGCP acted as a container, transitional object, and containment for coaches. SPEGCP contributed to the development of insights into the unconscious group coaching dynamics related to role, authority, boundary and identity manifested in uncertainties, role confusion, person-role-organisation dynamic influences and defensive structures in the paranoid-schizoid position, and reflective containment for learning in the depressive position. The quality of the relationship between the consultant-coach and group, and the systems psychodynamic consulting and coaching stance, were critical for exploration and reflective insights to emerge. As the systems psychodynamic group coaching and consulting stance can add significant value to the growth and functioning of coaches, and thus executives and their groups in which they operate, a study of this nature was important if not critical. The study provides an opportunity to consider that this third generation type of evidence based consulting and coaching be viewed as an integrated part of the development of coaches, consultants, and thus executive groups. / Psychology / D. O analista no campo analisante: dos impasses às transformações possíveis / The analyst in the analyzing field: from impasse to possible transformations

The clinical work is understood and organized taking into consideration an intersubjective vertex, thus the concept of analyzing field is forged to demonstrate the analyst s implication in the formation and transformation of the shared unconscious fantasy. The highlight of the research is the presentation of the hypothesis that, in certain moments, the analyst s mind presents a dysfunctional quality in order to receive, to sustain and to prepare the field for the production of the analyzing pair. In these moments, the shared unconscious fantasy transforms itself into shared resistance: bulwarks , chronic enactments and acute enactments; the important thing to be investigated is how this kind of configuration is formed and how it transforms itself, always considering the dialectic impasse ↔ possible transformations. Besides it interests us the fact that the dysfunction in the analyzing field isn t always generated by the difficulties of a disturbed patient, it can also be caused by a disturbed analyst that, in such cases, becomes the main responsible for the functional inversion of the field to the detriment of the analysand. The main focus of this study is, above all, how the analyst wanders in the analyzing field beyond the non-analyzed questions / Esta tese resulta de um esforço no sentido de penetrar questões em torno dos impasses que se formam e transformam no encontro entre analista e analisando.

Aznar Martínez, Berta 30 November 2012 (has links)
Nowadays, all theoretical orientations have given to the therapeutic alliance a central role in the therapeutic relationship. Furthermore, empirical research has proved the relationship between the therapeutic alliance and the treatment efficacy in psychotherapy in numerous studies. Although the concept of the therapeutic alliance has its origin in the psychoanalytic theory, the relevance of the alliance is very different in the opinion of several authors of this orientation. For some authors, the therapeutic alliance is not relevant and can interfere in the psychoanalytic treatment, since the transference is the key element. On the other side, for other psychoanalytic authors the therapeutic alliance plays an important role in any kind of therapy. A large section of our work is devoted to do a review on the conceptualization of the alliance of the most prominent authors in the psychoanalytic field. We believe that the therapeutic alliance should be taken into consideration in any psychoanalytically oriented treatment, because if it is not properly treated, it can jeopardize the analytic work and, therefore, interpretive and non- interpretive interventions must be used when required. The therapeutic alliance is, from our point of view, an element of the therapeutic relationship different from the transference (and its respective counter-transference) and the real relationship, described both in detail in our work. In couple psychoanalytic psychotherapy, because of the great diversity of mechanism s that operate in this type of conjoint treatment, the formation and the development of the alliance become more difficult. A significant part of this work is devoted to list and describe the factors that influence the alliance as well as the dimensions of the therapeutic alliance in this type of treatment based on the System for Observing Family Therapy Alliances (SOFTA). The therapeutic alliance established by the psychotherapist and a couple who undergoes a treatment for nine sessions in the North American TV series In Treatment i s analyzed with the observational version of the SOFTA (SOFTA-o), as well as the other elements of the therapeutic relationship that interact with the alliance. We believe that the material is useful as a training tool for using the instrument and as teaching material, since the most important aspects of the therapeutic relationship between the analyst and the couple are represented.

Recherche participante / Group framework and nested worlds in adult training or young adults; Trainers facing attacks on the framework. Participating Research

Falla, Willy 10 December 2010 (has links)
When the interpreting function instituting of the team is operative, the attack on the framework in institution, seems an attempt to interiorize, starting from the experiment of confrontation to the institutional device, the framework understood a preconception unsaturated with the direction as Bion has it. By taking again the developments relating to the role of the counter-transference in the individual cure and by establishing an analogy between the couple transference - counter-transference, dialectical between asymmetry and solidarity characterizes the psychoanalytical device. A close link is established between the investment by the analyst of this dialectical and the share of the counter-transference expressed in the report of the analyst to the psychoanalytical framework. After having checked the possibility of extending these developments to the formative relation, the group and the institution, an analogy was postulated between inter-transference and counter-transference relative with the investment of this dialectical between asymmetry and solidarity. A failure of the inter-tranferential analysis induced by a blocking of dialectical asymmetry - solidarity will be at the origin of actings on behalf of the team. This blocking appears in the movement inter - tranferential investing the dimension of asymmetry at the expense of the dimension of solidarity. This dimension of solidarity indeed makes it possible to accomodate what comes from the other and to assume the complex relations of fitment subjacent with the intersubjective bond. These theoretical assumptions were put at work within a research action with a team of trainers to professional animation.

Movement in gestalt therapeutic intervention for adolescents with disruptive behavioural tendencies

Horn, Annamarie 30 November 2004 (has links)
Movement in Gestalt therapeutic intervention, using structured activities and free improvisations, is a successful alternative to punishing adolescents with disruptive behavioural tendencies in the classroom. An overview of the existing literature regarding the therapeutic value of movement in Gestalt therapeutic intervention for adolescents with disruptive behavioural tendencies is firstly presented. Various techniques supporting the adolescent in his quest to achieve equilibrium, ultimately improving his relationships with others and his environment, are described. A case study, involving eight adolescents with disruptive behavioural tendencies in group therapy follows, which indicates that movement in Gestalt therapy is an alternative to punishment. In the light hereof it is suggested that movement in Gestalt therapy could be implemented successfully in the formal school environment. This form of intervention can contribute to the adolescent's growth, his ability to communicate and his relationships with self, others and the environment, culminating in improved behavioural tendencies. / This research is rooted in my various professional experiences over more than a decade as a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst in training, dealing with children, adolescents, their families as well as adults. This relates to a particular type of clinical work since the data for this study was collected in Lebanon, a country that has an elusive history, punctuated by wars and scattered violence; a country that is characterized by a resonating and echoing system between individual trauma and collective traumas. This study refers more precisely to a well-defined population, consisting exclusively of former children and adolescents of the 1975-1991 Lebanese war having lived and grown up in the former East Beirut. The study is also characterized by the fact that, once the analytic cure was well advanced, I was able to understand that I experienced, during my childhood and my adolescence, similar shared moments with my patients pertaining to traumatic experiences resulting from the war. In fact, my adult patients, the parents of the children in psychotherapy as well as myself, found ourselves as children and adolescents in the same places, experiencing the same epoche, alone, and away from adults (our parents or teachers), the same violent and destructive war events. This is a reflection that pertains to four generations. I wonder as to the quality of the links that exist between the peculiarities of the elaborative work of personal traumatic experiences and family traumas within the context of child psychotherapy. My interrogations also relate to the possible type of interaction existing between the specific trauma of the parent who is an ex-child (and ex-adolescent) of the war and the collective trauma that is specific to a country at war. I question in part the nature of the defense modalities of parents (generation 2) And the particularities of inner personal traumas that occur as an echo to family’s trauma, intertwined and interlocked with cumulative and collective social trauma. Moreover, I question why the parental psyche seems frozen, as if invaded, a prisoner “in a “no man’s land”, an undefined territory internal/external- non-human, fantasy/reality”, I also wonder about the strong, hidden links that seemed to glue up the members of a family. Those links or particular ways to live the attachment seemed, at first, apparently nonexistent but paradoxically they were extremely present in the sessions. The adults seamed unable to free themselves from this chain. I wonder if the children (generation 1) born after the war, are not, in the parental psyche (generation 2) reduced to a symptom – a symptom that the parents (generation 2) could not have had the opportunity to carry during their own childhood. Therefore, the child (generation 1) would be the bearer of "parental splitting"? I finally question the setting and wonder if the parents (generation 2) may not have accredited during our first encounter the « psychoanalytic » framework with the following dumb contract or agreement: "we know/you know what we/you have lived in our/ your childhood: we leave it aside and we do not talk about it at all. " Although the pact has not been explained verbally, transmission seemed to have been established in a « non-verbal communication. It may be for this reason that, the parents (generation 2) felt sufficiently at ease to try and place, for the first time in their lives, the suffering “child in them” in what they might have felt as being the securing, healing and soothing arms of “someone” who can be there for them; “someone” who has known what they have encountered because he is not a total stranger to their childhood experiences, “someone” who has the words and the capacity to talk about these unpleasant things; someone who may be able to express the “unspeakable experiences” with simple words ....
