They gathered their information from various scources, for example; pictures, exhibitions, visual arts, books and novells, depending on what project they are working with. Other important information scources were colleges, especially for the technical information need. The artists also searched for information in a wide range of subjects and showed interest in areas that are not considerable art-related.

Dynamism, versatility, engagement, selfmanagement, and creativity are just some of the values preached as ideals to be internalized by the workforce. The analysis of work in graphic design seems to indicate if these values are empirically experienced. We tried to analyze the configuration of the activity, the daily activities of this creative work, the personal and professional networks that determine the entry and stay in the sector, the contradictions between the individual creative potential of these workers against the demands of its customers as well as against the uncertainty and flexibility of this labor market. The work by projects, the intermittency of employment contracts, freelancing and the resulting instability are features that compose this activity despite all the glamor that the designation design brings. Nine semi-structured interviews with graphic designers, both actual and through virtual devices (email, Facebook and Skype), seven of them working in the interior of São Paulo, and two in the state capital were performed.

Grimpeur professionnel : le travail créateur dans le domaine du sport / Professional climber : creative work in sport

Dumont, Guillaume 19 October 2015 (has links)
This research analyzes the production of value and the transformations of work and labor in climbing by drawing on the conceptual tools of recent research in the realm of creation. Building on studies of creative work in the worlds of art, fashion and communication, this research captures the persona of the professional climber as the result of a collective process of elaboration carried out by different groups of actors. By working together, they produce an ideal of the “professional”, who, thanks to the support of brands, companies and sports federations, travels across the world for climbing. An ethnographic research, conducted between 2012 and 2014 in the USA and Western Europe with some of the best professional climbers, photographers, filmmakers, and industry members, sheds light on the crafting of “professionalism” and the related mechanisms of work. The aim of the research, on the one hand, is to study how and why people work together and, on the other hand, to analyze the organization and structure of this creative work. In fact, beyond the meaning and representations associated with the persona of the professional climber whose work revolves exclusively on the primary task of climbing, the work of professional climbers is fundamentally multilayered. Therefore, this research explores the everyday livelihood of the ones who are at the top of their game and contributes to the knowledge of creative work as it has been studied in other areas

Pedagogers arbete för att främja kreativitet : En studie om hur karaktärsämneslärare inom gymnasieskolans medieprogram arbetar för att utveckla elevers kreativa förmåga / Educators work for promoting creativity : A study on the character of subject teachers in upper secondary school media programs working to develop students' creative ability

Gustafsson, Åsa January 2012 (has links)
This thesis is a study of how subject teachers in upper secondary school media program works to develop students' creative ability. The paper reveals the definition of creativity, working to promote creativity and the characteristics of creative work climate. The survey is based on a qualitative study in the form of interviews, leading to understanding and action pattern for the way these educators use to promote creativity of students. Five teachers from two secondary schools media program in separate municipalities were included in the audit. Character subject teachers define creativity of pupils' personal renewal of both thought and action pattern. Creativity is an essential ability indispensable for each pupil's personal further development in order to achieve new insights. For students to develop creative ability, teachers need to encourage and stimulate students to innovation and creativity by using different methods and tools. Learning should not be dominated by the norm of how to think logically and verbally, but should also pay attention to the visual and intuitive minds of students so that they can develop their creative ability. At the same time, teachers should maintain a work environment that invites creativity. It turns out that the school seems to lack a comprehensive approach and a consensus on how teachers interpret the concept of creativity, and working to develop students' creative ability. Since different policies in relation to various training programs permeated by diffuse objectives of achieving creativity, there is a need to bring a discussion of creativity in the educational community.
