Язык и речь в зеркале фразеологии : магистерская диссертация / The reflection of language and speech in phraseologyДао, Д. Т., Dao, D. T. January 2015 (has links)
The object of the dissertation is phraseology which names and characterizes language and speech. On the basis of lexicographical data there has been put forward a non-controversial method which may help to describe the thematic group “Human speech and communication.” Together with phraseological fusions, unities and combinations, there have been distinguished a number of phraseological utterances, functioning in Russian dialogues as separate lines. Certain conventional principles of Russian communication have been found out. The dissertation provides observations and generalizations connected with interpreting Russian – Vietnamese phraseological analogies.

Electronic Dictionary Use in Novice L2 Learner InteractionBarrow, Jack January 2008 (has links)
This microanalytic study focuses on the mutimodal word look-up practices of Japanese foreign language learners of English at the novice level using electronic dictionaries (e-dictionaries) in pair conversations. Not yet investigated with a Conversation Analysis (CA) approach, this analysis examines reoccurring interactional and collaborative repair practices (Schegloff, Jefferson, & Sacks, 1977; Schegloff, 2000) of the learners' look-ups, and explicates from the sequential turn-taking procedures (Sacks, Schegloff, & Jefferson, 1974), the underlying social organization of the e-dictionary look-up sequence. Recent research has found that not-yet-fluent learners are capable of relatively smooth turn-taking (Carroll, 2000, 2004), and they employ various embodied actions (Olsher, 2004) to complete their turns. Nonvocal resources such as gaze movement (Goodwin, 1981) and gestures were also investigated in order to better understand how learners collaboratively utilize vocal and nonvocal resources in hybrid actions, to co-construct the meaning of look-up words, and maintain intersubjectivity. While enrolled in a university intensive English program, thirteen native speakers of Japanese video-recorded thirty-minute conversations; and during these conversations, they completed look-up sequences as interactional achievements. The results indicated that EFL novice learners display sophisticated competencies when using e-dictionaries for communication. While collaboratively completing look-up sequences, they display multimodal competencies by noticing trouble with words, initiating look-ups, making candidate proposals of word translations, correcting themselves, mutually acknowledging their understanding, and maintaining intersubjectivity and sequential relevance. In terms of language learning, learners' collaborative learning of words demonstrates instances of learning-as-interaction (Brouwer & Wagner, 2004; Firth & Wagner, 2007), making public the participants' socially situated cognition. Indications of a change in the participants' cognitive state can emerge in the look-up sequential organization. A lack of knowledge is displayed publically in before-look-up actions, encouraging collaboration in the look-up. Multiple proposals and acknowledgement sequences, often displayed in embodied expansions, provide multimodal indications of a possible change in cognitive state and possible gain in knowledge. Thus, the look-up sequence organization is proposed as an interactional organization for the learning of vocabulary. Finally, the understanding of sequential structures and practices that interactants use in looking up words can inform teachers concerning the efficacy of e-dictionary use in the classroom. / CITE/Language Arts

[en] A DICTIONARY OF CONCEPTS RELATED TO INDIGENOUS PEOPLE HISTORY FOR HISTORY TEACHING / [pt] UM DICIONÁRIO DE CONCEITOS RELACIONADOS À HISTÓRIA INDÍGENA PARA O ENSINO DE HISTÓRIAPEDRO HENRIQUE SASSONE CUPERTINO 24 October 2024 (has links)
[en] The path to be taken by New Indigenous History seems to be long and endless. For
a long time, or rather, for centuries, Indigenous people have had a marginalized place in
History, if they had a place at all. The result of this historical construction seems to
persist to nowadays in history education. When entering the final years of elementary
school, students arrive with a constructed view of these people loaded with prejudices,
stereotypes, and misinformation. Even after more than a decade since the promulgation
of Law No. 11,645 in 2008, which makes the study of indigenous and Afro-Brazilian
history and culture mandatory in public and private elementary and high schools
throughout the country, the difficulty in breaking with a historiography and teaching
based on Eurocentrism remains challenging. It was with the aim of overcoming such
perspectives that this dissertation proposed the development of a dictionary of historical
concepts related to Indigenous people history for History Teaching, with an emphasis
on the 7th grade of elementary school that allows for a resizing of the role of Indigenous
people in historical processes as protagonists of their own history, as well as
contributing to an anti-racist History.

Syntax složených adjektiv v překladovém slovníku / Syntax of Adjective Compounds in a Bilingual DictionarySchmidtová, Iva January 2013 (has links)
The aim of the given thesis is to expound the problem of syntax processing by creating adjectival compounds in dictionary entries for the Large German-Czech Academic Dictionary. Assuming that exactly these words, which belong to the complicated vocabulary items, cause difficulties for foreign speakers with text comprehension and text production. It is based on the nature of German language, which makes many compounds, as opposed to in Czech language. Not only are the meanings of these words revealed to be problematic, but also their usage. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with characteristics of adjectives as word class, and because each word always has its context, attention will be primarily focused on the adjectival valency. Previously, only the valency of verbs and substantives has been discussed. When a native speaker automatically knows these syntax structures and even when, in case of foreign language, there could exist structural similarities between the source and target language, the structures ought consequently to be given in the dictionary. In some mono- or bilingual dictionary the user should find complex informations for word searched. The practical part involves analysis of ten chosen adjective compounds, which shows how the valency structures are...

Nářeční slovník jihozápadního Vsetínska / Dialect Dictionary of Southwest Part of the Vsetin RegionGoláňová, Hana January 2013 (has links)
There are only few dialect regions within Czech language territory, where a systematic dialect research can be made, since the traditional territorial dialect irreversibly disappears. In the northern part of the East-Moravian dialect region we would find Valachian region, where the dialect is still maintained alive, and where the lexicon collected in Dialect dictionary of southwest part of the Vsetin region (hereinafter as DDSV) originates. During the field survey I managed to collect a rich lexical material, on the basis of which the DDSV consisting of 2.027 basic and 427 referential lexical units was created. DDSV is a type of local, alphabetic and differential dictionary. The aim of this work is mainly to catch and elaborate the lexicon collected in DDSV, based on contemporary lexicographical methods. A differential approach was used at the selection of phraseology, it means, that achieved lexical material was thoroughly confronted with Czech explanatory dictionaries. The dialect research for DDSV was made among the members of the oldest generation (above 60 years). Among the youngest generation (under 30 years), a research for inter-generation comparison of the lexicon of substantive semantic register area of meals, drinks and smoking was led, focused at sub-groups poléfka, máčka, kaša, placka...

The design of a database of resources for rational therapySteyn, Genevieve Lee 06 1900 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to design a database of resources for rational therapy. An investigation of the current health situation and reorientation towards primary health care (PHC) in South Africa evidenced the need for a database of resources which would meet the demand for rational therapy information made on the Helderberg College Library by various user groups as well as make a contribution to the national health information infrastructure. Rational therapy is viewed as an approach within PHC that is rational, common-sense, wholistic and credible, focusing on the prevention and maintenance of health. A model of the steps in database design was developed. A user study identified users' requirements for design and the conceptual schema was developed. The entities, attributes, relationships and policies were presented and graphically summarised in an Entity-Relationship (E-R) diagram. The conceptual schema is the blueprint for further design and implementation of the database. / Information Science / M.Inf.

Morfemizacija krnjih leksičkih osnova u engleskom jeziku:leksikološki i leksikografski aspekti / Morphemization of truncated lexical bases in present-day English:lexicological and lexicographic aspectsLalić-Krstin Gordana 15 September 2016 (has links)

Ova disertacija se bavi procesom
morfemizacije krnjih osnova koje su nastale
od leksičkihslivenica. Rekurzivinim
slivanjem s različitim inicijalnim elementima,
ove osnove se konsoliduju u svom skraćenom
obliku ili oblicima, što za rezultat ima
separaciju novih tvorbenih jedinica. Najbitniji
ciljevi istraživanja su sledeći: da se utvrdi
teorijski i terminološki status ovih elementa i
odrede kriterijumi za njihovo članstvo u ovoj
kategoriji; da se na osnovu tih kriterijuma
napravi popis morfemizovanih elemenata uz
razvoj metodologije potrebne za njihovu
ekscerpciju; da se sačini spisak leksema u
kojima se javljaju; da se ustanove formalne
varijacije i njihova relativna učestalost kao i
tipovi i oblici inicijalnih elementa sa kojima
se kombinuju, što bi za rezultat imalo
formulisanje prototipskog tvorbenog modela;
da istraži značenje ovih elemenata, eventualni
razvoj novih semema i smisaonih odnosa; da
dâ pregled njihove zastupljenosti u
postojećim rečnicima; da predloži model
njihove leksikografske obrada i da se na
osnovu tog predloga sačini rečnik kako
morfemizovanih krnjih osnova, tako i reči u
kojima se javljaju.
/
This dissertation investigates the process of
AB morphemization of truncated bases which
have originated from lexical blends. Through
their recurrent blending with various initial
elements, they become consolidated in their
truncated form or forms, resulting in the
secretion of new word-formational units. The
most important goals of the research are the
following: to determine the theoretical and
terminological status of these elements and
establish the criteria for category
membership; to compile a list of
morphemized elements based on these
criteria by developing the methodology for
their extraction; to compile a list of lexemes
containing these newly morphemized
elements; to determine formal variations and
their relative frequency as well as the types
and forms of initial elements with which they
combine, resulting in theformulation of the
prototypical word-formation pattern; to
investigate the meaning of these elements and
the development of new senses and sense
relations; to give an overview of their
representation in existing dictionaries; to
propose a model for their lexicographic
treatment and to apply that model in the
compilation of a specialized dictionary of
morphemized truncated bases and words in
which they appear.

This research is the first step in the development of a collocations dictionary of “lexique scientifique transdisciplinaire” (LST), which is similar to the academic vocabulary, a collocations dictionary conceived to help students or researchers in scientific or academic writing, regardless of their field. In this research, we first developed two original models of dictionary articles which provide access to collocations of nouns and verbs characteristic of LST. Secondly, the models are used to describe a sample of nominal terms: analyse, caractéristique, figure, hypothèse, rapport, and résultat; and verbal terms: décrire, and étudier. The models developed in this thesis offer a convenient access to LST collocations in writing context. The advantage of these models is to propose a coherent organization of the lexicon in syntactic and semantic terms. In addition, they are made to present the LST terms in different contexts, which may contribute to the development of lexical competence.
