A pesquisa apresenta um inventário das obras literárias produzidas por romancistas negras afro-americanas e afro-brasileiras, publicadas no mercado editorial brasileiro. Investiga como autoras afro-americanas Maya Angelou e Zora Neale Hurston e as afro-brasileiras Carolina Maria de Jesus e Conceição Evaristo, representam em suas obras as suas escolhas afetivas. Examina as experiências individuais das autoras, analisa como o tema da afetividade é tratado em suas produções usando como eixo central o trabalho comparativo entre as autoras escolhidas e investiga sobre a relação de gênero, raça x autoria na construção de intelectuais negras, tendo como fio condutor a perspectiva comparatista na narrativa literária / The research summarizes the works of some African-American female writers published in Brazil, in Brazils editorial market, and compares them to some Afro-Brazilian female writers. It analyzes how authors Maya Angelou and Zora Neale Hurston, on the one hand, and Carolina Maria de Jesus and Conceição Evaristo, on the other, introduce their affective choices in their writings. It looks at each authors experiences and how affection as a subject is dealt with in their literary work. The author does so by using comparative literature theory and by exploring how gender and race influence authorship in the making of black female intellectuals

Victor Burton é um designer que dedicou a maior parte do seu trabalho ao livro. A fascinação por este objeto começou ainda na infância devido ao contato com as obras raras da biblioteca da família, o que aguçou o desejo de se tornar designer exclusivamente para projetar livros. Sua atuação no mercado editorial brasileiro começou no final dos anos 1970, na editora Confraria dos Amigos do Livro. Como o maior interesse de Victor no livro é a relação entre texto e imagem, os livros iconográficos se tornaram seu principal objetivo e são nos livros desta natureza onde melhor conseguimos visualizar seu estilo. Victor desenvolveu uma linguagem gráfica própria que redefiniu o padrão do mercado editorial brasileiro. Numa época em que o projeto gráfico, principalmente a capa do livro, entre tantas cores e atrativos disputam a atenção do consumidor nas prateleiras das livrarias, já não é tão fácil identificar nem a editora nem a autoria do projeto gráfico e da capa. Entretanto, os livros de Victor Burton possuem um estilo que nos permite reconhecer sua assinatura. Desta forma, a questão que norteou este trabalho foi por que conseguimos identificar os livros do designer Victor Burton? Sendo assim, o objetivo deste trabalho foi enumerar e identificar os aspectos gráficos que caracterizam o estilo deste designer nos livros iconográficos. Para isso, nos baseamos no método descritivo desenvolvido por Guilherme Cunha Lima, em O Gráfico Amador. A partir das características levantadas, pudemos identificar os principais elementos que nos permite reconhecer a autoria dos trabalhos desenvolvidos por Victor Burton. O uso desses aspectos gráficos reflete o trabalho meticuloso do designer Victor Burton que consegue criar uma narrativa visual auxiliando a leitura do texto através de uma nova leitura gráfica, sobretudo nos livros iconográficos / The designer Victor Burton has dedicated the most part of his work to the book. The interest for this object begun in childhood due the contact with rares books that are part of his familys collection, which increased the desire to become designer only to design books. When Victor started to work in the Brazilian editorial market at the end of the 1970s, at the Confraria dos Amigos do Livro house publisher. As the Victors main interest is the relationship between text and image, the iconographic books became his main goal and are in books of this nature that we can better visualize his style. Victor developed his own graphic language that has redefined the standard of the Brazilian editorial market. At a time when graphic design, especially the book cover, among many colors and attractive vie for consumer attention on the shelves of bookstores, is not so easy to identify neither the publisher nor the author of the graphic design and cover. However, the books of Victor Burton have a style that allows us to recognize your signature. Thus, the question that guided this study was why we can identify books of Victor Burton? Thus, the aim of this study was to enumerate and identify graphic aspects that characterize the style of this designer in iconographic books. For this, we based on descriptive method developed by Guilherme Cunha Lima in O Gráfico Amador. From the characteristics raised, we could identify the major elements that allow us to recognize the authorship of the work of Victor Burton. The use of these graphic aspects reflects the meticulous work of the designer Victor Burton who can create a visual narrative aiding reading the text through a new graphic reading, especially in iconographic books.

FundaÃÃo Cearense de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento Cientifico e TecnolÃgico / Esta dissertaÃÃo tem como objetivo principal investigar que caminhos de formaÃÃo universitÃria estÃo sendo trilhados na consolidaÃÃo de uma comunidade da afrodescendÃncia, a partir da legislaÃÃo para a EducaÃÃo das RelaÃÃes Ãtnicorraciais, apÃs sanÃÃo da Lei 10.639/2003. EducaÃÃo essa que, na compreensÃo dos defensores da afrodescendÃncia, sÃo as relaÃÃes construÃdas no processo histÃrico, social, polÃtico, econÃmico e cultural; imersas nos contextos de poder e das hierarquias brasileiras, nos quais a raÃa opera como forma de classificaÃÃo social, demarcaÃÃo de diferenÃas e interpretaÃÃo polÃtica e identitÃria. A pesquisa està estruturada em uma anÃlise bibliogrÃfico-documental e apresenta uma abordagem teÃrica do conceito de comunidade, buscando compreender se a EducaÃÃo das RelaÃÃes Ãtnicorraciais pode forjar uma Comunidade Imaginada da AfrodescendÃncia. Comunidade que nas palavras de Zygmunt Bauman aponta para uma âcoisa boaâ, mas que pÃe em risco a liberdade. Que oferece seguranÃa, mas em contrapartida exige uma fidelidade aos seus ideais. Imaginada porque para Benedict Anderson ela cria laÃos fortes de pertencimento entre iguais e exclui os que sÃo considerados diferentes. Comunidade Imaginada da AfrodescendÃncia porque busca uma nova configuraÃÃo nacional, onde âbrancos e negrosâ nÃo podem conviver, como se pensava, dentro de uma democracia racial. NÃo se nega, nessa reflexÃo, que o racismo existe no Brasil, mas se questiona como um aparato legal pode alterar uma realidade de desigualdades sociais, principalmente se sÃo construÃdos a partir da adoÃÃo de polÃticas pÃblicas direcionadas ao atendimento de uma parcela da populaÃÃo. Com essas bases e seguindo um modelo neoliberal de governo, a Lei 10.639 e seus desdobramentos cuidam de garantir aos afrodescendentes hoje, direitos que nÃo tinham durante a escravidÃo. Deixa-se de lado direitos universais e centraliza na legislaÃÃo e na educaÃÃo, direitos reparatÃrio-afirmativos. O discurso de professores, autores e alunos tambÃm sÃo analisados bem como a produÃÃo editorial das universidades, em especial nas Universidades Federais do Cearà (UFC) e da Bahia (UFBA); nos cursos de licenciatura (HistÃria, Letras e Artes), no intuito de verificar se estÃo acompanhando as diretrizes estabelecidas na Lei e quais as suas contribuiÃÃes especificas para a construÃÃo de uma Comunidade Imaginada da AfrodescendÃncia sob a Ãgide de uma EducaÃÃo das RelaÃÃes Ãtnicorraciais. Justifica-se, tal anÃlise, uma vez que crescem as discussÃes no ambiente acadÃmico, mas pouco se aprofunda a compreensÃo das transformaÃÃes nele produzidas. Mais diretamente busca-se contribuir com os debates sobre a reconstruÃÃo da identidade cearense e as repercussÃes do embate entre a ideologia da mestiÃagem e da afrodescendÃncia. Como resultado da investigaÃÃo realizada chega-se a um quadro sÃntese de obstÃculos que sÃo decisÃrios na relaÃÃo entre uma EducaÃÃo para as RelaÃÃes Ãtnicorraciais e uma Comunidade Imaginada da AfrodescendÃncia. / This dissertation aims at investigating which ways of higher education are being trailed for the consolidation of an afrodecendency community, based on the law for the education of ethnic racial relations, after the sanction of the Law 10.639/2003. A kind of education which, according to the comprehension of the afrodecendency defenders, has to take into consideration the relationships built in the historical, social, political, economical, and cultural process; immersed in the power contexts and the Brazilian hierarchies, in which race operates as a form of social classification, demarcation of differences and political interpretation and identity. The research is structured into a bibliographic- documental analysis and presents a theoretical approach of the community concept, seeking to understand if the education of the ethnic racial relations can forge an imagined community of afrodecendency. According to the words of Zygmunt Bauman, this community points to a "good thing", but also threatens the freedom; it provides security, but on the other hand requires loyalty to its ideals. Itâs âimaginedâ because for Benedict Anderson it creates strong ties of belonging among equals and excludes those who are considered different. Itâs the imagined community of afrodecendency because it seeks a new national setting, where "white and black" cannot coexist, as previously thought, within a racial democracy. It is not denied, in this reflection, that racism exists in Brazil, but it is questioned how a legal apparatus can change a reality of social inequality, especially if they are built based on the adoption of public policies directed to attend a portion of the population. With these bases and following a neoliberal model of Government, the law 10,639 and its consequences ensure afro descendants the repairing-affirmative rights. The teachers, authors and studentsâ speech, are also analyzed as well as the editorial production of the universities, particularly in the Federal University of Cearà (UFC) and in the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA); in the undergraduate courses (history, literature and the Arts), in order to verify whether they are following the guidelines set out in the Law and what are their specific contributions to the construction of an imagined community of afrodecendency under the aegis of an education of ethnic racial relations. Such analysis is reasonable, once academic discussions are growing, but little deepens the understanding of transformations produced in it. We seek to contribute more directly to discussions on the reconstruction of the identity of the people from the state of CearÃ, Brazil, and the repercussions of the clash between the âmestizoâ ideology and the afrodecendency. As a result of the investigation taken, we come out with a synthesis table of obstacles which are crucial in the relation between an education for the ethnic racial relations and an imagined community of afrodecendency

Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar o discurso da mídia sobre a implantação do ensino religioso nas escolas públicas do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. O corpus compreende quatro editoriais, sendo dois do jornal O Globo e dois do jornal Folha de S. Paulo, todos veiculados no período de 2003 a 2004. O foco da pesquisa se concentra na observação de como são utilizadas as estratégias discursivas no desenvolvimento desse discurso que pode ser analisado como polêmico e como se dá o processo argumentativo, visando a destacar marcas ideológicas das relações que estão implícitas na produção desse discurso. Alicerçamos nossos estudos na Teoria da Argumentação, a partir do que indicam Chaim Perelman e Lucie Olbrechts-Tyteca (2000), e na Análise Critica do Discurso (ACD), segundo as pesquisas de Teun A. van Dijk (1983; 2000; 2004 e 2005), entre outros. Como todo fato divulgado pela imprensa não pode ser apartado de seu contexto específico de produção, este trabalho também observa como os decretos indicaram a implantação do ensino religioso nas escolas públicas do Estado do Rio de Janeiro dentro dos parâmetros político-educacionais, buscando destacar, por meio da análise do Corpus, o papel desempenhado pela mídia (a imprensa) como construtora de imagens e sentidos. / The objective of this survey is to analyze the statements of the media on the implementation of religious education at public schools in the State of Rio de Janeiro. The corpus consists of four editorials, including two from O Globo and two from Folha de São Paulo, all of them published in the period 2004/2004. The survey is focused on the observation of how the discursive strategies are analyzed in the development of this statement, which can be considered polemic, and how the argumentative process is developed, with the aim of highlighting ideological aspects of the relationships that are implicit in the production of such statements. We based our studies on the Argumentation Theory, on the indications of Perelman and Lucie Olbrechts- Tyteca (2000), and on the Critical Analysis of the Speech (ACD), according to researches of Teun A. van Dijk (1983: 2000: 2004 e 2005), among others. As every fact that is released by the press can not be separated from its specific production context, this work also considers how the decrees indicated the implementation of religious education at public schools in Rio de Janeiro within the political-educational parameters, to stress, by means of the analysis of the Corpus, the role the media (the press) plays as a builder of images and senses.

A pesquisa tem como objeto de estudo a revista Trip, publicação representativa da tendência de segmentação das revistas brasileiras ocorrida partir da década de 1980. O período avaliado (1986-2010) contempla fases distintas correspondentes a três projetos gráficos. O objetivo principal é analisar as propostas tipográficas utilizadas, verificando em que medida as estratégias retóricas empregadas configuram materialmente orientações do projeto editorial e comercial, conformando a identidade do periódico. Interessa-nos considerar aspectos convencionais e inovadores relacionados à noção de legibilidade, ao tensionamento entre o verbal e o visual presente na tipografia. A metodologia adotada consistiu em pesquisa bibliográfica que estabeleceu os fundamentos teóricos e categorias para análises de ordem quantitativa e qualitativa, e baseou-se em autores como, Lupton, Zappaterra, Meggs, Bringhurst, Gäde, Gruszynski e Ali, entre outros. A análise quantitativa deu-se verificando, em um exemplar anual, variáveis especificadas em seções que constituem estratégias tipográficas diferenciadas: textos longos, curtos e capa. Dessa amostra, extraíram-se leiautes exemplares para a análise qualitativa, buscando aprofundar o que os indicadores numéricos apontaram. Verificou-se que o design editorial, ao enunciar estratégias editoriais e comerciais por meio da configuração de elementos gráficos sobre o suporte, evidencia seu caráter mediador. As diferentes possibilidades de articulação da retórica determinam distintos padrões de legibilidade, buscando adequar-se ao público a que se dirige. Cada projeto demandou um grau de equilíbrio específico entre inovação e tradição, coautoria e transparência. Há, em nosso objeto, a aproximação a um modelo onde a sobrevivência comercial assume relevância. Observou-se que opções de leiaute efetivamente funcionais no passado foram resgatadas, o que não significa que conquistas do rompimento com o modernismo tenham sido descartadas no periódico analisado. / The research aims to Trip magazine, a publication representative of the trend of segmentation of the magazines that came from the decade of 1980. The reporting period (1986-2010) comprises distinct phases corresponding to three graphic projects. The main objective is to analyze typographic proposals, checking the extent to which rhetorical strategies configure the editorial and commercial orientations materially, conforming magazine’s identity. We are interested in considering issues related to conventional and innovative notion of legibility, the tension between the verbal and visual present in typography. The methodology consisted of literature research established the theoretical foundations and the categories for qualitative and qualitative analysis, and was based on the authors as Lupton, Zappaterra, Meggs, Bringhurst, Gäde, Gruszynski and Ali, among others. The quantitative analysis gave up checking into variable specifications on a annual copy sections that are distinct situations requiring typographic strategies distinguished: long text, short text, and cover. This allowed verification second specified variables. From this sample, were extracted significant layouts for qualitative analysis, seeking to deepen the numerical indicators pointed. The study found that editorial design, on formulating editorial and commercial strategies by the configuration of the graphic elements on the support, shows his mediator character. The different possible articulations of rhetoric determine distinct patterns of legibility, seeking to adapt itself to the target public. Each project demand specific degree of balance between innovation and tradition, co-authoship and transparency. There is, in our object, the approach of a model where the commercial survival assumes relevancy It was observed that effective functional layouts from the past could be redeemed, but this does not mean that the achievements of the break with modernism have been discarded on the analysed magazine.

O presente trabalho discute o surgimento, emergência e consolidação da interface entre a comunicação e a educação - seus processos, bases conceituais e aplicações - à luz da análise editorial da revista Comunicação & Educação, publicação semestral dedicada à discussão desse tema, editada pela Escola de Comunicações e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo. Por meio do acompanhamento da trajetória da revista, pretende-se mostrar como se reflete, nesta, a própria evolução do campo de que trata, e que também ajuda a construir. / The current work discusses the appearance, emergence and consolidation of the interface between communication and education - its processes, conceptual basis and applications - in the light of the editorial analysis of the magazine Communication & Education, a semiannual publication dedicated to the discussion of this subject, edited by the Arts and Communications School of São Paulo University. By following the magazine\'s trajectory, there is the intention to show how it reflects on it, the real evolution of the field it deals with, and that also helps to build it.

Wir freuen uns, mit "Medienwelten – Zeitschrift für Medienpädagogik" eine neue medienpädagogische Zeitschrift präsentieren zu können, die eine weitere Publikationsmöglichkeit auf einem bislang engen Publikationsfeld schafft.

Kinder sind neugierig auf die Welt. Und sie erfahren über diese Welt auch in den Medien, jedoch gibt es nur wenige Medienangebote mit kindgerechten Nachrichten. Dennoch bekommen Kinder Vieles mit: aus Gesprächen von Erwachsenen oder auch aus Nachrichtensendungen und Online-Angeboten, die nicht für Kinder gemacht und geeignet sind. So sind auch Berichterstattungen zu Kriegen, Natur- und sogenannten „humanitären“ Katastrophen sowie zu welt- und innenpolitischem Geschehen Bestandteil der alltäglichen Lebenswelt von Kindern. Diese gehen damit ganz unterschiedlich um. Sie reagieren auf Bedrohliches oder Unverständliches verunsichert, geängstigt oder auch interessiert – sie bleiben jedoch mit ihren Fragen und Ängsten oft allein, denn nicht immer stehen Erwachsene zur Verfügung. Vor diesem Hintergrund haben es sich Kindernachrichtensendungen zur Aufgabe gemacht, Nachrichten auf eine an den Bedürfnissen und Horizonten von Kindern orientierte Weise zu vermitteln. In dieser Ausgabe der Medienwelten analysieren Jessica Klinger und Antje Müller vergleichend die Kindernachrichtensendungen „Newsround“ und „logo!“ und sie stellen heraus, welche Qualitätskriterien mit der Orientierung an dieser Zielgruppe verbunden sein müssen.

Memoria para optar al título de Periodista. / La tesis busca reconstruir la historia de la Editora Nacional Quimantú a partir de documentos escritos y entrevistas a los protagonistas de esta historia para hacer una valoración editorial, literaria y gráfica de su legado intimamente relacionado con la figura de Salvador Allende y los años de la Unidad Popular.
