Denna rapport är resultatet av ett examensarbete som är utfört hos ett företag inom elservicebranschen, som syftar till att utreda möjligheten till effektivisering av inhyrningsprocessen av gräventreprenad och verksamheten runt detta på företaget. Företaget har sedan det grundades i mitten av 1900-talet vuxit och därigenom införlivat andra företag i verksamheten. De införlivade företagens organisationskulturer har i vissa avseenden levt kvar, vilket bland annat lett till olika förfaranden vid inhyrning av gräventreprenad. Då det inom dagens organisationer ständigt pågår ett utvecklingsarbete för att öka effektiviteten och konkurrenskraften, är det önskvärt att samordna förfarandet för att få en effektivisering av inhyrningsprocessen och eventuellt hitta ett nyckeltal för att se effektivisering i inhyrningsprocessen. Arbetet bygger på gjorda litteraturstudier i bland annat ämnena företagsekonomi, organisation och arbetsledning. Det bygger också på dels personliga intervjuer med berörda delprojektledare, dels intervjuer via e-post. Dessutom har studium av företagets interna ekonomiska redovisningsverktyg gjorts. Som resultat av detta är ett förslag till förbättringar av processen runt ett projekt där gräventreprenad ingår. Bland förbättringsförslagen är att företaget ska ha ett enhetligt förfarande vid upphandling inom hela organisationen, ett annat förslag är att föra dagbok kontinuerligt under ett projekt för att på så sätt få översikt på uppkomna extra arbetsuppgifter och dokumentationen bidrar till att företaget får igen sina extra utlägg.

Quality assurance of construction projects and create effective ways of working, is intoday's pressed position, major objectives for building contractor companies. This thesis is an attempt to see if it is possible to achieve these goals with the new modern tool iPad. The author of this thesis has during the latter half of his one year practice work in Uppsala for the Swedish building construction company NCC Construction Sverige AB, conducted a study on the possibility of using the iPad on an construction site. This has been done with active field studies in which applications have been tested and also the supervisors receptive. The usability of the iPad has always been in focus since it is important that the applications are easy to use and easy to learn. The results of the work, as presented in this report, points at opportunities in efficiency if the iPad is introduced and used on construction site. There are many useful applications for the iPad, and with a system that can handle the synchronization between the iPad and the computer, the workflow will be streamlined significantly.

En stor förändring som har skett inom den offentliga sektorn sedan 1980-talet är synen på hur man bäst effektiviserar verksamheten. Kommunerna riktade blickar mot företagsvärlden där företagsidealet utmärkte sig som det ideala och optimala för effektivisering. En rad olika teorier om hur man bäst effektiviserar den offentliga sektorn som inbegrips under new public management kom att realiseras under 1990-talet. Med bakgrund av den nya styrningen i form av beställar- utförarmodellen som ett led i new public management har syftet med denna uppsats varit att studera i vilken utsträckning tjänstemännen utövar makt genom att studera ett fall och den beslutsprocess som föranledde det. Vidare har syftet varit att studera på vilket sätt tjänstemannamakten utgör ett demokratiskt problem. En kvalitativ metod med semistrukturerade intervjuer har tillämpats för att besvara första frågeställningen. Resultatet visar bland annat att det förekommer meningsskiljeaktigheter i hur beställare och utförare tolkar det kontraktet som är elementärt för beställar- utförarmodellen, vilket riskerar att ansvarutkrävandet blir svårare för medborgaren gentemot politikerna.

Antalet verksamma tandläkare blir allt färre till en följd av det pågående generationsskiftet inom tandvården. Samtidigt genomgår Folktandvården likt andra vårdinstanser förändringar för att effektivisera sin verksamhet. Syftet med denna studie är att utröna om förändringen kommer att påverka tandvården på landsbygden. Vidare avses att undersöka hur tandvården kan effektiviseras genom samarbeten för att säkra efterfrågan på tandvård, framförallt på landsbygden.   I studien undersöks hur utbudet av tandvård på landsbygden påverkas av de strukturomvandlingar som ökade kostnads- och effektiviseringskrav samt generationsskiftet inom tandvården medför. Studien grundar sig på intervjuer samt rapporter och statistik främst från Socialstyrelsen som har det övergripande ansvaret för utveckling och uppföljning av hälso- och sjukvård, inklusive tandvård.   Studiens resultat visar att utbudet av tandvård på landsbygden drabbas till det sämre. Tron på stordrift bland organisationerna och motviljan att flytta till mindre orter bland yrkesutövare är de starkaste bidragande orsakerna. Studien visar trots detta på att det för mindre kliniker råder hög lönsamhetspotential på landsbygden. Problemet ligger i att, som ovan nämnt, få ny personal att välja att arbeta på landsbygden och detta har varit ett problem under en längre tid. Ett förslag för att motverka en utarmad tandvård på landsbygden skulle vara införandet av fler mobila enheter. Något som i dagsläget endast finns i mycket begränsad omfattning.

The cost of transportation has strongly increased in the recent years, transportations which are a major part for the construction companies. Skanska Asphalt which is a part of Skanska Sverige AB has noticed that there are significant cost savings to be made with the purchasing of transports. The transports in this case is about asphalt, where the costs are about 10% of the outsourcing business turnover. The purpose of this thesis is to study the working practice that Skanska Asphalt are using today in controlling and time-writing, for the asphalt transportations. Resulting in recommendations on how to improve the working practice at Skanska Asphalt. This study was conducted with the help of a number of interviews with Skanska’s employees and with suppliers of transportation to describe the practices which are being used in during the asphalt transportation. In the construction industry, every project is different and varies. For every project there is a production manager in charge from and scheduling to the ordering of transportations. For ordering asphalt transportations it’s common today for the production manager to make calls directly to individual drivers or to the management for the contracted transportation suppliers. It’s mostly common in time-writing to use hand-written notes, but there are also times when the drivers are using PDA for which the transportation management endorses the correctness of drivers information. The major problem is that the charged time for transportation is too high compared to the actual time, because drivers tend to round up the time-writing to the full or half an hour. Efficiency enhancement within Skanska is important and a proposal for improving working practice that can lead to cost savings is to introduce a different type of tariff. This requires closer cooperation and higher demands on the suppliers of transportation. For this system to work, it’s important to get system support from the suppliers. With improved internal communication between production managers it’ll result in further efficiency enhancements being found and Skanska will be able to increase the utilization of the asphalt transportation. The planning of the asphalt transportations could improve even further if it had existed any kind of calculation template. If Skanska informs the transportation suppliers in the early stage before the project kicks off with some form of planning calendar with the correct number of vehicles, will make it easier for transportation providers to meet Skanska's transportation needs.

Varbergs kommun har som mål att minska energibehovet i deras byggnader med 20% fram till 2020, kommunens resultat kommer jämföras mot referensåret 2009. Syftet med denna rapport är att beskriva genomförandet och resultatet av en energikalkyl som levererats till Varbergs kommun. Projektet genomfördes på en förskola som ägs av Varbergs kommun. Förskolan är en större enplansvilla med kallvind, byggåret var 1991. Energikalkylen som levererats följer energimyndigheternas mall på energikartläggning [1] och innehåller en utredning av hur energin i byggnaden är fördelad samt energibesparingsåtgärder. Energibesparingsåtgärderna som visat goda resultat i energikalkylen har sedan fördelats i två budgetar, en låg budget som har en grundinvestering under 100 000 SEK och en med hög budget som har en grundinvestering under 1 000 000 SEK   Åtgärderna som innefattas i den låga budgeten kommer ge en möjlig energibesparing på totalt 11,5% årligen och en återbetalningstid på sex år. Energibehovet blir då 208 KWh/m2, år.     Åtgärderna som innefattas i den höga budgeten kommer ge en möjlig energibesparing på totalt 43,6% årligen och en återbetalningstid på ungefär 21 år. Energibehovet blir då 133 KWh/m2, år.   Energibesparingsåtgärder som inte gett något positivt resultat kommer också att beskrivas i denna rapport.

This project has investigate one manufacturing processes at a manufacturing company. The company has been Swegon Operations AB and is located in Kvänum, where they manufacture units for indoor climate. The current study investigation is on a fan wall, which is a sheet wall adjacent to the fan in the units. The purpose of the project is to identify the current manufacturing process with both customer and product requirements. Subsequently give two alternative manufacturing processes one internally and one external manufacturing process. Which can make the fan wall and meet the requirements for the costumer and product with the lowest manufacturing cost. In the current process, the fan wall is manufactured in a value flow consisting of three activities in the process. The problem with this process is that it has not been investigated and compared with other alternative manufacturing processes with a lower manufacturing cost. Today's manufacturing process has been in place since 2001 when a custom-made machine was installed in the factory. The study in the project has investigated a value stream analysis for the current process, the possibilities for developing the process and how a future version of the manufacturing processes could look. The two alternative manufacturing processes are internal and external processes. The internal process consists of existing machinery from the factory and the external process consists of existing machinery and a plastic item is purchased externally. The study has also focused on sustainable development and Plan Do Check Act (PDCA). Consider why sustainable development is something that has to take into account and how the company works with it, as well as draw conclusions about how the different processes affect. The process of the entire project has followed the PDCA by first planning the entire work up and a value stream analysis is made to find possibilities and know the starting point. Then implement the possibilities of the proposed processes of how they would result and then check through analyses to propose the best manufacturing process. In the end, follow up that all goals have been met.Investigate how todays and the two proposed processes can affect the environment and the study has been structured according to PDCA. Analysis of costs, lead time and pros and cons will be discussed and conclusions about the project will be presented.
