En studie om ett bibliotekssamarbetes gemensamma arbete kring resurser : HelGe-bibliotekens resursfördelning / A study of a library collaborations joint work round resources : the "HelGe-libraries" resource sharing

Pekkala, Regina January 2015 (has links)
This bachelor thesis explores the library collaboration "HelGe-libraries" goals, guidelines and strategies for their resource sharing of library books and digital resources. The questions asked were: What does the resource sharing look like when it comes to media and services? What goals and guidelines do they have for the resource sharing? What common strategies do they have for the resource sharing? What challenges have they encountered with resource sharing and how have they dealt with them? The theoretical framework consists of Jennifer Rowleys theory of innovation strategies for libraries and Rosabeth Moss Kanters theory on the art of alliances. The method used to collect material was interviews and document analysis. Four informants were interviewed. My study concludes that the "HelGe-libraries" has formulated goals for their resource sharing and that the resource sharing is connected to their goals. The end result show that the main goal is to offer users a library service of high quality by offering a broad supply of media and information. The study also showed that the collaboration is working along various guidelines and that common strategies, formal and informal, has been developed to achieve their goals and to improve service.

-2,32m: How to protect a city under water?

Weiber, Jonatan January 2022 (has links)
Kristianstad is a city of 41.000 inhabitants in southern Sweden. Once a fort on an island in the river of Helge Å, parts of the river and surrounding lakes were lowered or removed as the city expanded. This has caused parts of Kristianstad to have the lowest point in Sweden, -2,32 meters below ocean level. The surrounding river has an important role as it creates a wetland ecosystem called Vattenriket that surrounds the city. This area is recognised as a biosphere reserve of international importance. Water is currently held at bay with help of embankments, but the city experiences recurring floods during years of high water levels. The threat that the water poses is expected to increase by the end of the century due to rising sea levels.  How can a city combat flooding through use of urban design in relation to local ecosystems in an era of rising water levels? This project is about how a city in an exposed position could deal with water, ecosystems services and sustainable development in a changing climate with care towards the surrounding wetland, to use it as a major tool in how to tackle the challenges ahead.

Konfliktlinjer i mellankommunal planering : En fallstudie av Helge å

Eriksson, Lars January 2019 (has links)

Israelsson, Marcus January 2014 (has links)
In January 2004 two members of the Pentecostal community Knutby Filadelfia in Uppsalamunicipality, Sweden, were shot by their fellow member Sara Svensson. With a qualitative hermeneutic case study as the principal method this essay takes on the task of not only investigating if and how Stockholm Syndrome can be used as a model for interpreting and understanding the violent incident in Knutby Filadelfia, but also to see if the unique characteristic of the Knutby incident can tell us something about Stockholm Syndrome as a model for understanding violence in religious movements. The material shows Stockholm Syndrome as having been present in Knutby because of among other things, a mileu, leadership and theology that supported the normalization of abuse and the enabling and maintaining of self punishment in the community. While Stockholm Syndrome still is a controversial theory this study shows that it can be used as a powerful tool in the understanding of violence in religious contexts.

Kollektivtrafikens idé : ägandeförändringar i Stockholms samtrafikhistoria / The Idea of Public Transport : changes of ownership in the history of public transport of Stockholm

Majuri, Humlan January 2013 (has links)
This thesis is about the idea of public transport and the discussions stirred in the media during changes in ownership. More specifically it is a study of the historical situation of Stockholm, Sweden, where the periods chosen are the 1910s, 1960s and 1990s.During the 1910s Stockholm’s first and largest tram company was taken over by thecity, and a period of public ownership began, which in the 1960s changed form whenthe county council took over the city’s principal authority and formed the politicallyadministered company SL (Storstockholms Lokaltrafik, Greater Stockholm LocalTransit Company). Between these periods the word kollektivtrafik (public transport)was established in the Swedish language. This study describes and compares the ideasconcerning the phenomenon of public transport. The aim of the study is to analyse the ideas, values and ideals concerning public transport in the media, defined as newspapers. The questions asked are: What doespublic transport involve as phenomenon and concept? For whom is the publictransport, and who is the owner? Which depictions of the passenger are presentedand what is their position in the traffic and the city? The conclusions drawn are that while the aims of the traffic-companies are mostly the same regarding the passengers and the economic priorities, the methods and technologies for realising these changes over time. The almost non-existingsurveillance in the 1910s tramcar, the emerging radio communication in the 1960sunderground railway of Stockholm and the establishing of video monitoring in the 1990s is one of the processes that suggest the changed situation of the passenger. Another line of development is the political question of ownership, which in theperiod of the study is ended by a deregulation of Stockholm’s public transport. The changes in ownership runs parallel to the evolution of the concept kollektivtrafik andthe question of who is to use and who is to own the public transport — but offer no final explanation to these maers.

Biblioteksverksamhet för de allra yngsta. : Belastning eller belöning för bibliotekens grunduppdrag? En innehållsanalys av HelGe-bibliotekens planer. / Library services for the youngest. : An imposition or reward for the library mission? A content analysis of the HelGe libraries library plans.

Bild Jensen-Sondrup, Gabriella January 2019 (has links)
This bachelor thesis aims to examine the library plans of the HelGe-libraries to find what is revealed about library services for the youngest children (0-3 years). I have made a content analysis to compare previous research on the subject with my findings in the plans. I have also made an analysis of other external directional documents that the libraries might use for inspiration in their services. In the background is the fact that public libraries in Sweden are governed by municipal self-government. Some of the comprehensive questions in this thesis are: What do the plans reveal about eventual services for babies and toddlers? What external directional documents can be found and how are they followed? How are libraries affected in this area by the municipal self-government? The previous research I have studied has to do with the approach libraries have on children, how libraries think about participation for the youngest and which perspective of children libraries use in their activities. Is it the child´s perspective or a child perspective? In the background is the UN´s Convention on the Rights of the Child. I have also studied research about the childrens librarians identity. My theoretical framework is neo-instirutional theory, with a hint of Scandinavian institutional theory. My findings shows that very few library plans actually mention childrens activities. It is also revealed that this kind of activities for the youngest at the libraries is not as common as I hoped it would be, sometimes due to the local political priorities.

Elusive quartet, Imaginary Songs: understanding and experiencing the music of Morton Feldman and Helge Sten

Miskey, Nicholas W. 27 August 2020 (has links)
Many commentators experience difficulties describing and analyzing Morton Feldman's String Quartet no. 2 (1983), implying that the quartet eludes stable ascriptions of meaning. Feldman's own philosophy frames these difficulties as symptoms of an antagonism between direct experience and post-hoc understanding of music, a dichotomy tacitly supported in much related discourse. I critique this proposed rift between understanding and experience by analyzing how String Quartet no. 2 prompts listeners to repeatedly reconsider their own experiences. Obfuscated instrumentation, transformations of repeated phrases, and disorienting formal returns challenge one's perception, pattern recognition, and musical memory, leading audiences to return to linguistic interpretation in an effort to comprehend what they hear. Drawing on writing by Lawrence Kramer, I show that the compulsion to voice these uncertainties is not a result of a separation of understanding and experience, but of the blurring of these categories. Vacillation between close listening and interpretation also typifies experiences of the music of Helge Sten, produced under the pseudonym Deathprod. For the album Imaginary Songs from Tristan da Cunha (1996), Sten transfers recorded violin improvisations to wax phonograph cylinders, clouding attributions of the music's manner of production. Incorporating Brian Kane's theory of acousmatic sound, I demonstrate that the resultant spacing of sound and source provokes listeners to oscillate between attending to the music's material properties and struggling to identify its meaning and cause. Work by Jonathan Sterne indicates that historical techniques of hearing associated with the antiquated medium of the phonograph cylinder prolong and complicate this mode of listening. As with Feldman's quartet, auditors of Imaginary Songs endlessly fluctuate between attempting to understand and striving to listen closely to the music. / Graduate

Jonasson, Viktor, Reidler, William January 2019 (has links)

Ingison, Linus January 2020 (has links)
