Políticas culturais e políticas de identidade em Alagoas: governo Ronaldo Lessa (1999-2006) e governo Teotônio Vilela (2007-2014) / Cultural politicies and pilocies of identuty in Alagoas: the administrations of Ronaldo Lessa (1999-2006) and Teotônio Vilela (2007-2014).Magalhães, Luíz Fernando Barbosa Gomes 29 March 2017 (has links)
This study investigates the cultural policies of identity that were conducted by the culture public agencies of the State of Alagoas in two administrations: the Ronaldo Lessa Government (1999-2006) and the Teotônio Vilela Filho Government (2007-2014). It addresses the issue of identity in its inseparable relationship with the "cultural" and narratives of formation and orientation of the nation-state in Brazil - connections that mostly orbit in the sphere of cultural policies and which have been elaborated through a long Intergenerational process, full of conceptual displacements and political struggles. In this sense, it exposes the main moments in which, in the course of the 20th century, and at the beginning of the 21st century, the production of identity politics came together with the elaboration of cultural policies and materialized at the state level, highlighting their essential characteristics, agents and Movements responsible for their texture and the conditions of possibility that allowed their respective articulations. The Alagoan developments of this process were gathered from documentary research and interviews with state agents who participated actively in the elaboration of cultural policies in the mentioned period. From this juncture, the text presents the first policies of valorization of the identity that were conducted in the Lessa Government, its folkloristic outlines and the alienation of the cultural sector in the face of the large identity politics of valorization of the afroalagoanidade that were conducted by other state sectors. Similarly, the text outlines the institutional transformations and adaptation efforts conducted by SECULT to conform to the molds proposed by the Ministry of Culture in its most active period - a process that leads to a restricted assimilation of the UNESCO discourse repertoire, Professionalism in the sector, but that converts the Secretariat into a kind of local executor satellite of the cultural policies prescribed by the MinC.

Jaroslavice – sídlo v krajině / Jaroslavice – place in the landscapeMájek, Jan Unknown Date (has links)
The work is aimed at the center of the village, which is a square that, in size comparable to that of the Square of Freedom in Brno, is an exhibition of problems: considerable deterioration of the building fund, underground use of the public space, which is moreover unreadable and unreachable. The proposed solution divides the area of the square into three smaller public spaces that have a different character and function. Mariánské námětí is the torso of the existing one, which has been earmarked for the building of a new municipal office and library, is characterized by town houses and the location of services and public amenities. The second area is a semi-detached cottage. It is dominated by walnuts and water. The proposed buildings are oriented towards the library and the wine house. The third such defined area is the Wine Market, which is the crossroads, the scattered area of the surrounding houses, like a school, shops, or wine house. A large part of the COOP building has a sports complex with a halo and a swimming pool. There are solved especially the buildings of the town hall with a library and a wine house.

Though our research is firmly anchored within the field of linguistics, it constitutes an interdisciplinary approach as well, aiming to establish a dialogue between Interaction Analysis and Phenomenology. This research examines the complex notion of identity by defining it as a verbal, technical, and intersubjective phenomenon. The bodily, sensory, relational and social human existence is henceforth engaged in digital interaction devices inducing unprecedented modalities of intersubjectivity. Therefore, we propose to analyze the novel features of intersubjectivity involved in digital interactions. In the first part of our dissertation, the theoretical exploration, we seek to apprehend the nature of identity co-construction, the stakes of interindividual encounter understood as an intersubjective phenomenon, and the spatio-temporal characteristics of digital interactions. Firstly, through a phenomenological approach, we define the encounter as a meaningful event and we explore the phenomenotechnical properties of digital intersubjectivity. Secondly, through an interactionist approach, we focus on language and its role in identity co-construction, and more specifically on sequence organization and embodiment within physical and digital interactions. Thereafter, in the second part of our dissertation, those theorizations are submitted to a data analysis. This empirical exploration consists in studying online encounters between geographically distant participants. This study allows us to draw a topography of the spatio-temporal framework of phygital interaction, a typology of the acts of enacting existence on screen and a description of the ontological process of identity co-construction.

Stereotype threat in India: Gender and leadership choicesPrasad, Ambika 12 1900 (has links)
Stereotype threat is a psychosocial dilemma experienced by members of a negatively stereotyped group in situations where they fear they may confirm the stereotype. This study examined the phenomenon in India, thereby extending previous research to another culture. In addition, with participation by students preparing to be professionals, the results are applicable to organizational settings. Ninety graduate students from a professional training institute viewed common Indian advertisements under three conditions: gender stereotypic (women depicted as homemakers), counter stereotypic (women represented as professionally employed individuals) and neutral (no reference to any gender identity). It was hypothesized that females in the stereotypic condition would be susceptible to stereotype threat effect and thus opt for problem solver over leadership role on a subsequent task, while females in the counter stereotypic condition were expected to choose leadership roles. ANOVA was employed to test for differences across the three conditions. The study also hypothesized mediation of the stereotype threat performance deficits by self-efficacy, evaluation apprehension, anxiety, role conflict, stereotype activation, father's and mother's education levels. Hierarchical multiple regression procedures as recommended by Baron and Kenny (1986) were conducted for mediational analysis. Data analysis provided partial support for the two hypotheses. In support of the stereotype threat theory, condition emerged as a significant variable influencing selection of role choice. In line with previous research, no evidence for mediation by any of the variables studied as potential mediators was found. However role conflict and evaluation apprehension may have functioned as suppressor variables that enhanced the variance in the condition-role choice relationship. The results of the study and their implications, in context of the Indian scenario, are discussed. Certain limitations are identified and suggestions made for future research.

臺灣民眾國家認同的發展:1895年到2000年 / The Development of People’s National Identity from 1895 to 2000羙雪倫, Medina, Sharon Paulette Unknown Date (has links)
National Identity, the depiction of a country as a whole, encompassing its culture based on traditions, language and politics. This concept has grown to be common, lectured by scholars from various disciplines. Existing studies have fabricated piece by piece the definition of national identity, to comprehend the complex interaction within individuals, groups and a “Nation”. This paper seeks to provide the importance of the relationship of history on national identity, using the case of Taiwan, also known as the R.O.C (Republic of China). The importance of this research is critical to support how, when, and what variables during the time period of 1895 (Japanese Colonial Period) to 2000 (KMT Authoritarian Rule and Democratic Transition Period) were the main causes for Taiwan’s national identity to evolve. What exactly does national identity refer to? And how do historical experiences such as, the Japanese colonial era, the 2-28 and White Terror period, and KMT’s authoritarian rule and democratic transition before 2000, can systematically cause change? Prior to analyzing Taiwan, we first conduct a general review on the development of identity; the interconnection between the social, political, and cultural identities and how those identities along with historical experiences impact national identity evolution. At that juncture, we will question other scholarly works on the development of people’s national identity from 1895 to 2000 and its impact in Taiwan.
